Not a bad place to stay for a short time. We ended up in a smoking room which was the only negative. Free water and coffee at the front desk is a plus.

Terrible customer service from front desk clerk. After driving fours hours with my two very small dogs, after having made reservations, which included I was bringing my pets, I was refused check in! Apparently they limit the number Of pets and never told me! The person was rude and certainly not helpful with helping me find alternatives! I’m a senior citizen and was taken aback about how I was treated! I also heard from other friends of the problems they had at this hotel and the rudeness of the front desk person! We were in town for an event. I am so glad I was able to find accommodations for me and my dogs and truly feel I was so much better off and the rude man actually did me a favor after all. I will never attempt to stay at red roof inns ever again.

Very accommodating. Front desk was amazing at getting me settled after a nightmare at a previous hotel. Not a bad stay for the price. Pool was nice.

First time staying here and the staff made the experience all the better. Friendly to my son and more than accommodating to my families needs. The pool was clean and the rooms were basic but well looked after. Centrally located to shops and food, also just off Prkway. Overall nice experience, will return to see Sam and staff again next time!

Very friendly staff. Called my room to ensure the fact my non-smoking room that was next to a smoking room was not a problem. It wasn't, thank goodness. Free water at check in was nice. Nicely renovated room, but a few items such as the bathroom fan and tile and window were not in good shape. However the nice staff, free water and decent price can't make up for the cheap construction of the place. Our upstairs neighbors came home at 11pm and we could hear every step they took and it kept us up until they went to bed. Not big people either — 2 women. Could hear them walking and the floors creaked whenever they were there.

It’s a pretty basic hotel I took a cab ride to the hotel from JFK airport so it’s a pretty long ride but I can’t enjoyed it was actually pretty clean surprisingly you to stay here.

You get what you pay for. Walls are thin, rooms are small, and cigarette smoke will seep into the room from other units. It's not a dangerous area, but I would keep your doors locked, especially at night just as a precaution. They do provide free water bottles and Red Delicious apples at the office, but no continental breakfast. I'm not complaining, just stating the facts. That being said, this is probably the cheapest place you can stay near the shore. You will need to rent a car or use Lyft/Uber to get around though since there is no public transportation or things to do within walking distance. If you are looking for a no frills place to sleep and keep your stuff locked up while you are out and about all day, this place is great. If you want more than the bare minimum accommodations, go somewhere else.

Not a bad stay but some of the rooms smelled like smoke when I asked for non-smoking and in one of the rooms the heat would not kick in to high.

Pretty basic hotel. I didn’t pay for the room, so I don’t know how it compares to the pricing. Was decently close to Asbury and all that. Took a $10 cab ride to the boardwalk. Room was stinky and basic. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if you’re trying to be fancy at all. But could potentially be a good option for something a little removed from the boardwalk, but to have access. I imagine if you had a bike you’d get a good ride in to the happening restaurants and bars.

The hotel room was very nice. The bathrooms were alright but all in all was a pretty good hotel room for the price.

It was a very pleasant stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room very clean, nice and comfortable. Bathroom was a bit small, but over all I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. I would live to stay here again when back in the area.

I attended a charity event in Neptune and needed a reasonably priced place to stay. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the room was. I stayed in a smoking room and it didn't smell like smoke! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! I had a king size bed very comfortable! NO BED BUGS! NO BUGS ANYWHERE! The rooms have a refrigerator and coffeemaker. Flat screen TV. You do have to go to the office for ice. They also have free hot coffee and free bottled water. For a Saturday night the room was under $100.00 and I will definitely return.

Not the typical Redroof. Mom & Pop multi Building style. Very clean & well kept inn. Very personable staff. Room I stayed in was probably recently remodeled. I would definitely recommend.

My husband & I stayed there Oct 10 thru Oct 17. My husband originally chose Red Roof Inn because it was only a few miles from Jersey Shore Univ Medical Center. He had to have surgery. The staff was very friendly & accommodating to us. The staff was truly concerned about any needs that we had especially due to our situation. Really appreciated their kindness. As for the place. Great prices. Comfortable beds. The rooms are well staged. It is a safe environment. Everything is well maintained. The rooms are very clean. Would definitely go back. Couldn't go wrong staying there. Would recommend Red Roof Inn Neptune to others to give them a try!

Clean, modern spot for the budget conscious: good AC, comfortable bed, and friendly staff. Overall a decent stay. One nitpick; the bathroom sink was remarkably small (think airplane).

I did not stay here but the owner let me set in his parking lot with a tractor trailer while I waited for a load to come inn. The grounds and area around the inn were perfect. The building looked well maintained the office was clean and the staff was polite. I would stay at this inn.

Renovated nicely. Had a coffee pot. Microwave and small refig. Bed comfortable. Very small bathroom no tub but everything was clean.

Very nice privately operated place for a quick visit! Super clean and all the rooms recently renovated with coffee maker, microwave, fridge and flat screen TV. Not fancy, but great value and service!

For a red roof inn. I was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were very clean and updated. Fairly inexpensive as well.

Run, don't book. BUGS! There were bed bugs and when we nicely went to management to kindly let them know about the situation, I was told we were mistaken. I have bites on hands and feet. I saw them and killed 1 of them. I'm quite sure it's not my imagination. I am outraged that we were still expected to pay for and stay in the same room with no other options.

The red roof inn was alright. Basically just a great place to crash and is convenient.

Horrible! drug trafficking and possible human trafficking! neptune pd needs to clean this place up-owners are fully aware of what goes on at this location! filthy trash, condoms, needles on side near creek-what a shame — this used to be a decent motel.

Bad place all I can say is prostitution ring.

It doesn't look like much when you drive up but the rooms are newly renovated very clean large 37 inch flat screen TV refrigerator and microwave. Very small bathroom with stand up only shower. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating not the Ritz but I would recommend it.

Note: I went here once on 2014 Nothing special. It is clean except that the blankets near the feet side stink when I was laying down texting. I didn't try the pool since it is a cold out. The Inn has a cheap price but it is not a terrible place. The women at the front desk is kind.

They recently changed to a Red Roof Inn. They have brand new rooms, as they were recently renovated. Excellent customer service. Very polite staff. New beds, new flat screens, fridge in all rooms. Excellent hotel for the price.

I only spend one night but the service was fine and the room was the right size.

The front desk man wasn't very plesant. The door to the room didn't open very well and took some pressure to pretty much break it open. There was no chain lock. As soon as you enter the room, the room smelt like dog. There are no screens on all the windows, (bathroom and front. ) Overall, its a decent place for a decent price, but little things such as those listed and things such as complimentary mouth wash or available beverages would boost its rating.

Well,. (It is a motel) I checked in and was the only person at the entire hotel. No cars not people because all the windows were open to see that. Why I was given the HANDICAP room as if it where the only one left it beyond me. Temp — Cold and heater didn't work on max. Due to having the handicap room the bathroom is bigger and has more tile and no heat so the cold air over powers the Luke warm air from the room. Location — you will have to travel for food because you a surrounded by a cemetery and trees. Don't count on someone hearing you scream for help. Just give up or run. Clean — don't count on rooms being maintained while you are there for room service. It will be just as you left it. Safety — single female or females? Don't do it. Even as a male I was creeped out that no one was here. Bathroom has no curtain so shower at your own risk. I'd like to thank my boss Boss and company for putting me here. Internet was a fail so school work was not done and class will have to be taken over $$$ Worker was nice.

The smell is unbearable. We were in the area for a wedding and wedding block at another hotel was full. I read reviews for pretty much everything in a 15 mile radius and decided on the Days Inn because every place had terrible reviews and at least the Days Inn was affordable. When we booked the room online, it said I would be charged in advance but we weren't actually charged until we checked it. When we pulled in, the parking lot was completely empty, which on a Saturday is a very bad sign. The office smelled like someone had tried to cover pee w/ incense. The place as a whole looked pretty creepy. The numbers had fallen off of our room and had been replaced w/ electrical tape. The room itself smelled so strongly of pee that I could barely stand it. We tried running the fan on the airconditioner for a while in the hopes that it would get a bit fresher, but it didn't help. The room itself didn't look that bad, but I was terrified to touch any porous surface, because I wasn't sure where the smell was coming from. I'm guessing that the hotel is pet friendly and there were years of dog pee in the carpet. I'm not at all picky when it comes to hotels. I've stayed in plenty of places that other people were unhappy with and been ok. This place is an exception. Stay here at your own risk.

If you are looking for a place to just sleep at night and do stuff around the Jersey shore, this might be fine for you. My friend and I were staying there for few days due to an event we had to go to. This place desperately need an upgrade. It is old and it has double beds. No baths either which was difficult for my toddler because the shower was too rough for her. There was a step to go into the bathroom and they didn't inform us about that. That is a danger for kids! The shower curtain was dirty and disgusting. We travel very often and never went to a motel that had pool closed at 9. It was 100 degrees on the days we were there and it would have been nice to have it close at 10 or 11 so we could cool off at night. BEWARE of leaving stuff in your room — it doesn't matter if it is valuable or not. They took a couple of items from us — a really nice water bottle that was given to me as a gift and my daughter's hair stuff. Why would they steal these items? Also, if you have food leftovers, they will take it back with them to eat it. I think that is gross. We had issues of closed captioning on the TV so we could watch TV in peace while the kid sleeps. The TV said settings were locked. The front desk said if it is locked, then it is locked. Nothing they can do about it. They claimed to be accessible but they aren't when they can't put the caption setting back on the TV.

Very clean, safe and cheap. Staff is gentle and at full disposal.
