Great cheaper option for staying "down the shore". Stayed once a few years ago for a show at PNC and July 2018. Definitely not fancy but good for a place to sleep and shower. AC cold, nice pool and no bugs. Balcony was gross from AC dripping water.

Needed a room for the night as my plans fell through. The woman on the phone was very nice and held a room for me until I was able to walk over. Very clean entrance area, with plenty of drinks and snacks available for reasonable costs. My room was clean, bed was very comfortable. It felt like a studio apartment. Water was hot and didn’t smell which seems to be a problem with other motels in the area. There is a washer and dryer available as well in the main hallway. Close to stores and food. I would definitely stay again if needed.

The place was honestly rather nice aside from some issues. The room was large, had a big bed (Though it was a bit stiff), a couch, a decent TV, microwave mini-fridge and a shower with nice and hot water. There is a pool but my partner and I have not used it. The woman at the front desk when we checked in was polite and was helpful when we had questions. As for my issues there have been a few disruptive guests one of who was in an argument with someone late into the night, a few cat-callers and one woman aho randomly called our room at 11pm. The outlets in the rooms are not the best (Some of ours were cracked and plugs were not staying in. We bought a surge protector and I recommend you bring one! ) The place is a little outdated but the rooms are better kept than the rest of the Inn.

Found a bed bug. Owner is rude as hell. Told me if I left at almost mid night that he would reinburse me. Mind you I'm pregnant or he said hell switch me to another. I do not recommend at all.

Rooms are big, and l enjoyed my stay there. No problems, except they need better pillows.

The Crystal Inn was a short Uber ride away from downtown Asbury Park. For a low price the room was big enough and had a nice TV. Free breakfast in the morning was a nice added bonus.

The hotel was conveniently located and was affordable. The area that the hotel is in may be a little run down but the condition of the rooms were on par. Did not use service but seems fine.

Unclean and Unkempt. My husband booked a room here although he read poor reviews thinking they were exaggerations. They were not. We checked in and immediately walked out. Blood on nightstand and curtains. Cigarette holes in the already filthy curtains. Toilets didn't flush. I could go on and on. Just bad.

I have been spending nights at this hotel and I love it here. It’s a nice place, the rooms are great for the price and I can actually afford being here often. I work next door, I’m a YOUNG female who gets follows by a lot of guys and the only complaint I have is that the man that supervises at night makes me stand outside as if I’m a threat to him. Mind you I’ve come night after night renewing my room. I’m not a problem. I definitely don’t bring anyone into my room, even if I wanted to it shouldn’t be such a problem but I don’t do anything but do what I have to do. And he makes me feel as if I’m a threat. I shouldn’t have to stand outside t 3am while guys are following me. The other women that see me let me right in. When I approached him POLITELY about the situation, he gave me such an attitude and said “are you complaining? ” OF COURSE. I’m calling management tomorrow and speaking to them about this because this is a problem for me. The place is great and I recommend this place to many people so this is a problem for me.

You get what you pay for here — a relatively inexpensive/mid-priced motel. A good place to stay, with an outdoor pool as a plus.

The worst motel EVER. My husband booked a room here for us. There are signs everywhere saying it is a 100% smoke free environment. That is a lie. The place reeks of cigarettes and marijuana. The room was disgusting and FILTHY! There were stains all over the pull out couch. When removing the cushions to check out the pull out bed the bed was dirty and broken. There was a desk chair completely covered in stains. I decided to check out the mattress at this point for bugs and I found them. The front desk had to call the manager to give us our refund and that got us nowhere. The lady at the desk eventually decided to give us half our money back. When we returned home we realized not only did she NOT refund us half our money she CHARGED us another $41. There should be an option to give a place negative stars because this place should be SHUT DOWN!

Staying with family during the Thanksgiving holiday, we made reservations in Neptune on November 12, thinking we were reserving for the 24th. After bouncing around the motels booking site, and to the day selection page, the day kept resetting to the current day, but it went unnoticed — until the day we showed up at the motel. Being on-the-spot, we had no choice but to pay for a room, again. We explained the situation to the clerk on duty (her name begins with an M), and various times via telephone up until 12/20/2017, as we needed to book another room — the motel was not willing to refund or credit anything for the missed booking due to their site functions. We almost always have other family members book rooms, too but this experience will be the deciding factor to stay elsewhere — for all of us. There are many options in the area, just as close to our destination. Be careful and check your reservation, before it's too late. K. M.

The rooms were clean but it's a drug hot spot. The clerk was m. I. A. G r about an hour so I couldn't check in. A cop pulled up behind my husband and I "pulling us over" running our licenses and questioning why we were there. Last time I'm ever allowed to book the room for a kid free night. Also will never live that story down.

First time staying here and can honestly say that I would stay here again. It's a great location with lots of parking. Rooms were spacious and clean. Could be a little more updated but can't beat the price. The outside could definitely use a little TLC but it's not the end of the world. Would definitely recommend staying here if youre not looking to spend a whole lot and still be close to everything.

Love the new renovations… fridge didn't work and they asked to upgrade! Also Madeline in the front desk is an amazing person! Thank you for easy booking!

Beds are no good. Don't plan on sleeping. The new photos either the upgraded rooms looked nice. Floors are not wood, it is bumpy vinyl that looks like wood. All work is a shoddy cover up. Was a big let down. The price is good and so is the location. It is close to everything. But not worth it if you cannot sleep. Noisy too.

I was just there this Saturday-Sunday. Everything about this motel met my expectations. Room 112 was relatively clean and the bed was comfortable enough. The air conditioning worked. The motel is secure. You have to use a key card to get into the hall, and then you walk through the hallway to your door (and use your key card again). The pool was very nice. The morning breakfast was good but the coffee was very watery. If you take a right exiting the motel you can get to Wawa a few blocks down. If you take a left and loop onto Asbury St your only 7 minutes away from the beach. 5 stars for a 3 star motel! I would stay there again.

Free breakfast in the morning. The place was very well priced so a great room! (We had stayed at the Berkeley Oceanfront a few nights before and it wasn't that good for the price we paid for 1 night) Crystal Inn is definitely something worth it if you're just looking for a place to sleep. The pool is well cleaned and the workers are so incredibly friendly! We're definitely going back for a week!

We were just there 2 weeks ago. There is nothing wrong with this Inn. Everything went smooth from check in to check out. We were only in town for one night to go see a show at the stone pony. The room was cool to perfection. The AC was turned on for us. The room was spacious and had a balcony that overlooked the pool. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. There were no funky smells in the room at all. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of towels and the shower pressure was great. I would stay here again if I ever visit near Asbury again. Excellent service. We didn't have the free breakfast but it was nice to know they offered. Stay here and you will be happy with the Inn.

The first time I came here in February, we liked the room (216), but the sleeper sofa was busted. Fast forward to July 21, same room. Same broken sleeper sofa. I discussed with the woman at the front desk about getting a discount for not getting what she paid for. She said she would call the manager. Can't get a hold of him. I told her I had stuff to do and we would talk later. Their breakfast is not worth it. Grab a coffee and get some real food. Overall this place sucks. Update: we stayed in the room anyway because they said they had a couple of cots and they had a repairman/manager on the way in the AM. The cots were busted up and rusty and thhe pad for them was almost worn through. The manager shows up and I pretty much had to tell him how to fix the couch and he ran out as soon as he was done to avoid talking about a discount. I call the front desk 5 minutes later and he's nowhere to be found. We spend the second night, the kids on a sort of repaired fold out couch. Next morning at check out I tell the front desk woman I want to discuss the aforementioned reduced rate. I simply asked for 1/3 off of one of the 2 nights because I only got 2/3 of what I paid for. She told me the manager decides but he won't be in that day and they would call me by 3 tomorrow. Next day (I'm home since last night at this point) no call, no contact. 3 rolls around and I call. Some guy at the front desk says to call between 9-13. So 3 days after coming home and nothing.

I booked a room here this past Saturday night even after reading the mixed reviews because it was cheap for the area. Check in was quick and we were given a room on the first floor with the patio facing the pool. In other reviews they said the hallways stunk of smoke. It did smell a little but not enough to bother me. There are "No Smoking" signs all over to deter people, but I guess not everyone is considerate. We got to our room and I immediately went to check to make sure the beds were clean. There weren't any bugs or stains and they actually looked really nice for being on the cheaper side. The floors were nice, looked like a hardwood printed laminate. The room was a decent size with a nice tv. The hot water and water pressure were good. Overall we had a great stay and I would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area looking for a deal.

The room seemed clean and decent for what we paid. It was also quiet and we had a good experience. We used Uber for transportation to and from the main area of Asbury Park. Overall, I would return.

Clean room. Some items have wear and tear visible but I would definitely stay again.

The crystal Inn had a presentable room and nice service. Food could be improved.

Just checked in today absolutely disgusting! the room smells of cigrette, there is a burn mark in the curtain, NEVER AGAIN will I stay here! The ONLY nice part is that the bathroom is actually decent. It seems like people are living here too. Feel very worried bc they have tons of cameras so it makes me think we are in a bad neighborhood.

My boyfriend family goes their everytime and its a nasty hotel beds uncomfortable Wi-Fi not stronger the breakfast buffet is horrible the pool too small their no where to go. Its looks liked a church hotel. My boyfriend family likes to go their cause the staff. I wouldn't go their cause everyone said bedbugs.

BED BUGS! Nasty place, refuses to do anything about the bed bugs except spray rubbing alcohol that does nothing! Have the nerve to raise the weekly rent. I guess it costs extra to stay in a bug infested bed and get bit every night. Refuses to switch mattresses or rooms even though the MOTEL is damn near empty! Heath department has been notified.

BED BUGS! Empty room and refuse to let us switch rooms! Had the nerve to say we can go somewhere else! Reporting them to the health department. Maids clean with nasty dirty water going from room to room. Sheets are stained. Fridges are broken no matter how many times you swap them out and they don't come with shelves. The dresser drawers don't have handles. Bed bugs in some of the rooms. " (I switched rooms four times). They supposedly sprayed and then refuse to replace the mattress or even the mattress cover with the dead bed bugs, stating " there're dead now, no need to replace it". That's what the cleaning lady said. So I bought my own took everything to the laundromat and washed them. Well I've $100 for everything and continued to get bit, the did nothing for 6 more days. The Internet is metered so when your online and in the middle of something like a 5 page paper, it cuts you off and you have to log in again. They claim it's smoke free and there's nothing but smoke in the rooms and halls. They raised the weekly rent for no apparent reason. Not even worth the stay, the younger male manager is so rude.

I stayed at this place for like 2 weeks and at first it was ok… but then I got bit up by bed bugs and they did nothing but spray some rubbing alcohol on the bed… I asked to switch rooms and they said no. They kicked me out on 4th of july weekend and a few weeks later I was in a desperate situation and they wouldnt even rent me a room… imagine being turned down by a place where you got eaten alive by bed bugs? … I took photos and considered suing.

For the price, this place is a gem for a one night outing in Asbury park… The staff was helpful. The breakfast was a plus, edible! No frills, did the job. Outdated furnishings but a Giant TV on the wall (i didn't turn it on though). Overall good experience!

Well what can I say? You get what you pay for! One thing for sure; if this hotel was not located near to the shore, it wouldn't get $90! Wouldn't even survive at all! Pros: near to the shore, Wi-Fi, fridge, microwave, bagel breakfasthe with coffee fruit juice, banana, cereal. Cons: carpets need cleanup, smells bad, bathroom could have some door hangers there could be containers for soaps, rooms need general maintenance.
