My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and we just checked out. Overall, we’re very happy with our stay and it’s good for the money. First off, the fact that the check in age was only 18 was a HUGE help to us since we were very limited to our options since we are under 21. The staff is very friendly and informative, the owner/manager gave us a few ideas for activities and she was extremely nice and made sure we enjoyed our stay. For the price you pay, the Bass River Motel is wonderful. It’s a wonderful location with great people and they do housekeeping daily. It’s a little outdated, but then again, for the price, it’s worth your money. Our only complaint was that the sheets were kind of rough and the bathroom could really use some new features and some deep cleaning. The carpet could also use some more vacuuming as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and we would come back again.

Will not go back. Owner was rude to a friend who came to pick me up to go out. It was 80 degrees on one of the days I was there and there was no air conditioning, when I called to ask about it I was told It's not hot enough yet, no one else asked for it and I should open the windows, which had broken screens. I came to find out when sitting at the worn out picnic table that 3 other's also complained the rooms were too hot. There were 2 of us and we were only given 1 set of towels, thankfully we had our beach towels. There were stains on the bedding and bedding was very scratchy. Beds would of been comfortable if the sheets felt better. Microwave was so old I was afraid to use it. There were no mini shampoo or anything, just 2 tiny soap bars. Mini fridge was clean and the t. V worked other than that I don't have much good to say. I came home bit up but I honestly am not sure if it was from the bed or the beach, I'm gonna say the beach just to make myself feel better. Price was much too high for what was offered, which was pretty much nothing but a shelter. Chose this place because we neglected to book something in advance, won't make that mistake again, would of rather stayed in my car.

Stayed for 4 nights and found the place to be clean, quiet, and affordable. Very nice owners, they really enforce the non-smoking policy. The rooms had no odors and the motel was close to both Dennis and Hyannis. I would return if I was in the area. The only downside is no pool, but I didn't need one during the time I went.

Met my needs perfectly. Exceptionally good value. It's a safe, clean, well run place to stay. I stayed 2 nights, and would stay again, without hesitation. When on the Cape, I'm either riding my bicycle or hanging with friends. I only use my room to sleep and shower. I got exactly what I needed and expected, at a great price. Owner was fine, actually a very nice, polite man who went out of his way to introduce himself and ask if I needed anything. Basically, don't expect champagne when you pay for beer. Appreciate the beer for what it is!

Not a good place if you wanna be left alone. The woman who works here continuously knocks on the door just to chat. Which isnt a bad thing, if she wasnt so judgemental about her customers. Rooms smelt like mold, and the tub was dirty. She made me fully clean my own room (which consisted of my SWEEPING THE CARPET WITH A TINY LITTLE YELLOW BROOM as she watched) as im trying to get ready for an appointment which I ended up late. Shes an older woman and the broom was really tiny so I figured she just couldnt bend over. Nope, not the case. She cleaned everyone elses room fully. Last time I checked, we are paying you a hefty amount to stay the week which we were told that cleaning was included. She ended up taking our deposit for a reason she couldnt even explain. For the amount of money you pay for this place, go right down the road and youll find a nicer motel.

Rooms are ok little outdated. Close to amenities. Rooms clean.

Ignorant manager dosen't understand "Service Dog. " Does the owner understand "Disabilty Attorney? "

Owner and wife are very nice. Rooms are simple and comfy.

We stayed here in September I made the reservation in may. First night was put on a credit card per their rules. The gentleman on the phone was nice assured me I was all set. At check in there was a woman who was not very nice she told us we had to pay a 50 dollar deposit a smoking fee as their rooms are smoke free I assured her we were not smokers but had to pay anyway… the form we had to fill out was a normal form except for the small print that said " you have 5 minutes after check in to cancel if you dont like the room with NO REFUND". Ive traveled A LOT and have never seen such a thing… we entered the room it smelled good and was clean but very dated (you get what you pay for) after checking the room we were going to stay 3 more days on the phone with the gentleman I was quoted a price but when I went to the office the woman told me it was going to be a higher price and she would call the gentleman I asked why the difference if the prices are policy she told me because of the break ins someone needs to pay… Needless to say we left went down the street to the Brentwood Motel and we were treated very well in a much nicer room at a cheaper price and with an actaul POOL… I say good luck to anyone that stays here THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY AND WILL MAKE UP ANY REASON TO GET IT…

The lady in the office is allways find a way to steal your deposit. Shes not nice, unprofessional dont go there!

I have stayed here a few times before shifting base to the Cape. In fact when my distant family visits, I make sure they stay here. Very reasonably priced and great owners. I would recommend the hotel to others. Clean and adequate. The only downside is no pool, but this is the Cape for crying out loud. Go to the beach!

No pool… It's empty — But nice with microwave. Needs more electrical plugin's for charging and hair drying. Comfortable, old style room. Friendly Staff — would have stayed longer if the pool was working.

It was relatively clean, but very little to no modernization in place, and absolutely has room for improvement across the board.

The owner of this establishment is incredibly rude, does not accept proper payment despite guests offering multiple forms, and uses his position to attempt to coerce potential guests into conducting business the way he sees fit. This experience was beyond 0/5 stars, but I was required to choose at least 1/5 to write a review. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone, seeing as there are many within reach that are of similar price and GUARANTEED to have superior customer service. Save yourself the time, sleep in your car if this is your only option.

Reasonable price, not very updated rooms. Had to walk through sprinklers that were on & aimed at the door to our room. Sprinklers seemed to come on three times in 24 hour period even though it rained most of the overnight. Window a/c worked well.

I would not recommend this place at all! The customer service there is absolutely horrible. I called the business to inquire about how many rooms they have at their motel and the manager that I was speaking with was extremely rude and resistant to giving me that information. I told I'm trying to provide him business so I don't understand why he's not working with. He continued on with being rude. As a potential customer and being treated this way, I imagine they have no respect for their guests either.

Not a fancy place. But if you are just looking for a place to sleep for cheap, this place works.

I would not recommend. What was a pool is a nasty fenced in area in the center of old cottages that were painted white but no repair under the paint. There were multiple electrical connectors in outlets. Shab table with no chairs I n kitchen area, antique fridge with iced up tiny freezer. Sparse utenciles, 2 spoons etc. Was not notified there was no pool … just run down condition. Had I not prepaid and they would not give refund I would not have stayed the night. For the same price the Guest Lodge a few doors down was so much nicer. No comparison, for the same price… Never sight un seen again. Internet pics do not represent condition at all… sorry.

Nice rooms, nice area and close to a great diner! Found an old receipt from over a month ago in the drawer, so want sure how clean it was. Also, the ac unit was duck taped into the window. That being said, we felt safe and slept well.

Great experience here! would definitely come back. The staff was very nice and welcoming and the rooms were very clean, didn't find any dirt or mess, (which I was kind of expecting). It's close to all the shops and restaurants and also mini golf. Free Wi-Fi, microwave and mini fridge were included.

Don't go here if you can help it. Don't even think about complaining if you do. Owner just told me that "it wasn't his problem" and he wasn't going to lose his money (my money) and give any refund, partial refund, or let me stay another night. I got hurt on my bike ride TO this motel. He was apalled that I asked for my money back and he just hung up on me. No manners or people skills whatsoever. I'm a pretty nice person but he was pretty rude the way he interacted with me. Trust me, I'd rather sleep in my car than ever have to deal with this place again. Stay at your own risk and don't put up any money you're not willing to give away for free and still get treated poorly.

It's okay for the price. This is the least expensive hotel in the area. The being said — you get what you pay for. The parking lot is downright creepy. The pool in the middle is always drained and looks like somebody drowned there (you'll know when you see it). The rooms aren't too bad — have a good cape vibe to them I think. Only downside is the windows are so close to the parking lot that you hear a lot of things going on outside. Bathroom was awful. It's really difficult getting the right temperature in the shower and you need to hold down the flusher on the toilet for a good ten seconds to make sure everything goes down. Location isn't bad — walking distance to some activities and good food.

Had a great stay at Bass River Motel. Stayed 9/7-9/8. Wish I booked all of my trip here. Very affordable. Room was neat and clean as well as grounds. Owners were very accommodating, good people. We will return again next year or maybe sooner. Very good location too, convenient to lots of things to do and places of interest. Loved it! Hope pool will be open when we come next year.
