We stayed here in 2020 and ever since have talked about doming back. So this year, Sept 2022, we are staying here once again. We loved the beautiful, clean and quiet rooms and especially enjoyed the breakfasts, which helped us get an early start into the park. The little town of Gardiner is precious and the scenic drive out of town to the inn offered beautiful scenery as well as wild life viewing. We even had elk visitors while eating breakfast one morning.

Absolutely the best place we stayed our whole trip. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. But most of all me and my kiddos enjoyed the big elk herd across the highway and the friendly and informative staff. We will be back for sure. Breakfast was delicious too. We loved that we were out of town too. But only took us 5 minutes to get to the antler pub and grille. A great place to eat.

What a great place to stay! We stayed in the main floor of the Cottage suite, which was excellent! The main floor has a full kitchen, dining room, living room, king master and a single twin. For families, it connects to a lower level with more Bedrooms and bath. The main floor was spacious, comfy and very clean! The inn keepers were friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend the Yellowstone Basin Inn! 5 stars!

We stayed 2 years ago and still think about how much we loved it. Nice rooms, great breakfasts, beautiful view of the front porch and great location. Enjoyed talking to staff and guests. On my bucket list to return someday!

The proprietors are lovely people. Rooms are beautifully decorated. Breakfast is homemade and special. The view from my window was spectacular. It’s close to Yellowstone and Gardiner but not too close.

I can't say enough good things about this Inn! The place is absolutely beautiful and I felt very comfortable there. They were very accommodating to all my needs. Only wish I could have stayed longer!

We just finished staying at the Yellowstone Basin Inn. I was pleasantly surprised with how great the location was. Located right on a hill with mountain and lake views surrounding the entire property. Our room was extremely clean and newly renovated. Jeanette and Dan were very welcoming and informative. Their warm personalities made us feel comfortable and at home. They answered all of our questions and were happy to share recommendations on activities, restaurants, bars, etc. Every day a fresh and delicious breakfast with coffee was provided. The porch in front of the the B&B was charming and offered gorgeous views of the landscape. Only 5 minutes from the downtown Gardiner area, it was easy to get to local restaurants and gift shops. Additionally, Yellowstone Park was a short 10-15 minute drive away. We will definitely be coming back to stay here on any future trips to Yellowstone.

Lovely room, congenial hosts and an amazing view from our hugh main window… what more could you ask for. Also, we are the get up super early and run types so we never had the breakfasts, but both our neighbors told us it was wonderful. I would highly recommend this B&B if you’re visiting Yellowstone.

Yellowstone Basin Inn, Gardiner, Montana… what a little piece of heaven I booked from inside the park yesterday afternoon never knowing it would be like this. The difference in price was $148.73 with tax to $303 without tax a night in Yellowstone. 6 miles and save $160.00. We had the greatest breakfast served here also. She specially made me huckleberry pancakes! Mmmmmmm.

Great spot. Less than ten minute ride away from Gardiner and the Yellowstone north entrance, but feels like you are off the beaten path. The owners are very nice, and made some fantastic pancakes for breakfast. Finally, you won’t believe how beautiful the view of the sunrise over the mountains is right outside your front door. … I look forward to staying there again.

Family owned inn with personal service by the owner Greg, free calf-roping lessons and free consierge advice on local attractions in Montana, Wyoming and Idaho, tasty organic breakfast, well maintained rooms with European duvets (vs separate sheet over blanket), great views on mountains, easy access from Yellowstone. Highly recommended!

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Has that small town B&B feel which is always wonderful. Room is comfy and spacious. Would definitely recommend to any Yellowstone visitors.

Great place to stay and one heck of a view. I started by looking at hotels in Yellowstone but none of them have AC! The best part is that the owner will listen to what you're interested in and tell you all the best places to go in the park.

Awesome views, employees, and owners. The main man Greg is a wealth of knowledge. You would be doing yourself a disservice not getting park information. He hit it in the nose every time. The breakfasts are sooooo good.

Absolutely loved our stay, Greg and his staff were extremely friendly and hospitable plus the breakfast was great. Great (scenic) location just a few miles outside Yellowstone Park.

Great place to stay. Greg gave us valuable info for our trips into Yellowstone. Setting is on a knoll overlooks open fields and meadows. Staff is friendly and courteous. Atmosphere is more like a B&B with personal attention. Organic breakfast (included) and lunches to go (extra cost). Would stay again.

Great B&B option in Gartiner very close to the northern Yellowstone entrance. Our room was very comfortable and roomy. The owners are a super couple who really interact with the guests providing suggestions on things to do. The included breakfast is quite good and is served buffet style. We also took advantage of an optional bag lunch (at an additional cost) which was big enough for us to share while exploring Yellowstone. All in all a great place to stay.

We stayed here completely by chance as there was a freak storm happening in Yellowstone and most places were booked. I'm so glad that we did! The place is very well managed and the sweets we ended up with was stunning The Views were breathtaking and the breakfast buffet in the morning is delightful! Not only was it one of the best nights of rest of our trip but also one of our favorite places we stayed! Definitely coming back next time we are in town! PS, if you come in September like we, you might be able to see some of the wild elk that just roam right across the front porch!

Perfect place! Which iI could give more than 5 stars! We arrived late but they left the key for us to find. Very friendly owners, clean and cozy rooms and a homemade delicious breakfast! Best I've ever had in the US so far. Would always come again!

We stayed during the last week in July, 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation and meals and the welcomed advice. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and healthy and changed every day. The lunch, which we ordered every day, was equally delicious and filling. Greg, the owner, gave us great advice on what to see and how to see (best vantage points) everything in the Yellowstone Park, from the wildlife to the scenery to the thermal features. Greg is knowledgeable on the surrounding area too. The location is beautiful and is convenient to Yellowstone Park.

Service is absolutely great. Staff is super friendly and helpful and Greg can really tell you where to go in the park, places you might otherwise not discover. Breakfast is tasty, the rooms are clean and spacious. We also had a well equipped kitchen in ours. The only downside is the Wi-Fi, it's slow and a bit unreliable but that's probably not something the hotel can help.

Had the most amazing stay at YBI. The Inn is about a 10 minute drive from Gardiner proper. It overlooks a magnificent view sitting out on the porch with rocking chairs. The rooms are clean and well kept. We stayed here with a family of 6 and 2 kids and everything was well cared for. The complimentary breakfast in the morning between 7-9 am was delicious. Greg recommended a bunch of places to visit and where exactly to go see wildlife. I highly recommend this place!

The people are very nice and friendly. More than willing to help you with planning your day or quick household needs. The breakfast is fantastic, probably the best hotel breakfast I have ever had! And this says nothing of the views. Stunning vistas at the hotel itself, and only 20 minutes away from Mammoth in Yellowstone. The nearby town stocks groceries and restaurants. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience at the Yellowstone Basin Inn on our cross country trip in June 2016. Just a lovely peaceful Inn with beauty all around. Greg and Sabina owners were like family when we left and highly recommend staying here. I even had a few roping lessons. Horseback riding arrangements can be made at the Inn also. Yellowstone National Park is nearby so you can spend lots of time in the park. The rooms are so clean and cozy which made me feel like I was staying at a relatives house. The breakfast they serve in the morning is all freshly made with unique food which may change daily. Not your ordinary breakfast which was what I loved. Also if you are going out for the day they can make you a lunch for a reasonable price. We will go back on our next trip out there. The rooms do fill up so I recommend reservations in advance. 5 Star and more. You will leave wanting to go back.

Friendly helpful owner, big and clean room, very comfortable stay in the Motana suite. Very nice breakfast. Definitely among the top choice within Yellowstone national park area.

Convenient, friendly, good rooms and food. Best part was the elk that wandered behind our room and into the courtyard to help itself to the tasty tree leaves. We were able to watch from up close (and safely behind a fence).

Lovely place to stay, highly recommend their picnic lunch to go! All of us thought the lunches were sensational and plenty of food to keep us going on our Yellowstone exploration. Thanks guys!

The breakfasts were excellent, but pricey given the venue. We stayed in a room that is apart from the main inn. The noise from the road was distracting at night, but the noise from the AC was lethal. It sounded like an alarm clock going off repeatedly throughout the night. The location is extremely convenient to YNP, and the personnel were wonderful. The towels were marked with permanent marker according to their intended use (makeup, hot tub). An elk ran through the property by our room while we were there, which was exciting. Basically it was a casual and friendly place to stay.

My husband and I spent our second wedding anniversary visiting Yellowstone and really enjoyed staying here. The room (the La Duke) was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our buffet-style breakfasts every morning were delicious, nutritious, organic, and for the most part locally-sourced. Our first glimpse of the local wildlife was seeing a herd of bison through a scope in their breakfast room, and elk visited just outside our room our last days there. I spent a few nights after some strenuous day hikes soaking in the hot tub under a sky full of stars. Most invaluable was the daily itinerary provided to us by Greg the owner every morning. Really made our vacation feel like a vacation!

WE stayed there for our 25th anniversary trip to Yellowstone Park and this is genuinely the best choice for staying at the north gate. Town of Gardiner is near, but the overnight stay prices are quite high in August, and certainly don't include the fantastic breakfast or very professional advice for the best possible trip into the park that you will receive at this Inn. Rooms are large, very comfortable and kept super clean — I was surprised that daily bed-making is included since the rates are that good. I am not sure when or if we can come back to Yellowstone Park but should it happen, I would book here again without hesitation! Thank you for the wonderful stay we had with you.

Room is amazing with a very clean bathroom. You can see the moon through its skylight at night. The host in frontdesk was warm and friendly, very nice person to have a conversation with. The only drawback was that they only served breakfast up until 9am.

Everything about this place is awesome. Home friendly, close to YS, clean, priced well. Will stay here again.

I stayed her in the fall of 2009. It was our clean up hotel after a week of backpacking in the park. It's probably the best place you'll find near the north gate. Awesome breakfast, great rooms, nice spa, great customer service. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Yellowstone Suite (5), it has a master bed room with a very comfortable bed, and a full kitchen and pull out sofa. A little balcony and it all just worked out great. THe location is good, out of town — which was good for us since we really wanted to sleep without the noise from the bars and tourists in Gardiner. The hosts (Greg and wife) were great, friendly, and very knowledgeable. It felt like he was telling the future (these two parking spaces are always open. And they were. That kind of thing). Overall, two thumbs up, five starts. Etc, etc.
