Reviews of Harrah's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino 3*
It's a three star hotel but it's got a great location being across from the Mirage as well as Caesars. Try out their oyster bar in the afternoon for a great deal on oysters. This is one of if not the first three star hotel on the strip I check when I'm going simply for its location. Great area and the gaming floor is always packed. I would book here over Bally's or Flamingo if the price was the same. Wanting to try their steakhouse Ruth's Chris but haven't managed to get there just yet!
Watch out! They're stealing from the hotel! We have from a group of tourists absolutely two thefts from the room. The services that are responsible for the safety of the hotel work unresponsiblely!
This was my wife and I's first stay at Harrah's. The room we had was very nice and clean but the AC didn't work very well. It would turn off early probably because they put the thermostat underneath the vent. So most of the nights I was uncomfortable because I like my room below 72 to sleep. It was probably around 76 most of the time. The bed was also pretty hard and the pillow sucked. With that said I love Harrah's location being in the middle of everything and it's easy to walk anywhere you need to. The buffet is pretty good and the breakfast in the buffet is exceptional. The casino floor is large and there's lots of food and shopping options. I would recommend Harrah's as a cheap hotel option.
Overall very pleasant Hotel and Casino. My group and I enjoyed the layout of the casino floor it was very easy to get around. The surrounding stores, shops, and all the other attractions are also nice plus. We didn't spend all that much time here but overall we had a very positive impression and I would recommend this hotel at least being worth a look if not necessarily stay there out right.
1st time to Vegas and my husband and I loved it! The hotel is in a great location which is centered in the middle of the strip. We had the pleasure of getting one of the newer rooms in the valley tower, which was awesome! Everyone was so friendly. We had a non smoking room called the front desk and they immediately switched us to a smoking room. Only dislike I would have is no fridge in the rooms. They charge $15 extra per day. We simply went and bought a $2 cooler off the strip and problem was solved. The front desk agent let us check in early by signing up for the rewards card. Check out was a piece of cake because you can check out from your cell phone! They gave us a late check out of 11:30 because of hotel availability, which was fine because they kept our luggage until we were ready to catch our flight.
Wonderful, awesome, fun, and anything else you can think of. We were able to get our Harrah's room compensated for by the Hotel for 8 nights! And the room was very nice and right in the middle of the Vegas Strip. We could walk anywhere we wanted to go. We could eat, drink, and gamble 24/7. Will go again, especially due to its location and freebies!
The renovated rooms are fantastic! Only complaint is that the water pressure in the sink and toilet is low. The shower has great pressure, but the lack of a proper door can leave a mess. Be sure to put a towel down! I stayed here years ago, and vowed not to return. The remodeled rooms, plus the central location and pricing, made the return worth a try. Well worth it!
A great classic from Las Vegas. The Americans are so Pro… Nothing to say, perhaps some should be inspired by their way of working.
Looks kinda old and tattered. Nice piano bar with live entertainment daily. The piano bar was the best part. Had dinner upstairs at Ruth Chris steakhouse. Food was good, service not so much. I suppose an ok hotel and casino but you can easily find a better alternative?
Absolutely the worst. My girlfriend immediately felt like she would be assaulted or raped here, we left the next day and switched hotels — manager lied to us and was a complete dick. Refused to give us a refund for the nights we did not stay there because the manager lied when we checked out. Some creep with a flock of seagulls brown haircut in a $50 suit. Stole our money. The $20 sandwich is complete BS, they "upgrade" you if you just ask and the "upgraded" room is garbage anyway. Bed was horrible, only 2 pillows on a king bed and they were flat and awful. We did not sleep, room was awful. Shower has no door. Absolutely no water pressure. Bathroom is disgusting. Entire place smells like smoke. No robe. Shampoo and soap are in a permanent dispenser in the shower (gross). If you're a drunkard loser degenerate crackhead you'll love it, otherwise spend some extra money and enjoy your stay elsewhere. Again this is the most disgusting hotel I've ever seen, worst staff ever complete A-holes, $20 sandwich is a complete lie probably cooked up by the staff and posted in reviews to make extra $ off of suckers. You couldn't pay me to stay here again. Don't eat the food. Don't stay here. F this place. We're professionals from NYC so maybe our standards are higher than some loser from middle-of-nowhere but if you have half a brain go anywhere else.
I like the location of the hotel in relation to the rest of the strip and the price. I walked in saw a huge line and thought this was going to be a horrible experience but that changed when I was able to use the self check in option. I was able to check in without dealing with other people in less than 10 minutes. Three people are friendly and helpful and there is a nice place to eat in the lobby with lots of choices. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Harrah's is a decent hotel on the strip. It's one of the cheaper ones if you want to be in the middle of the action. The staff is very friendly. The hotel rooms are decent for the price. Total Rewards and a lot of other chains introduced parking fee for hotels on the strip. You end up paying the fee even if you are a hotel guest.
Checking in was a breeze with the kiosks. The room was fine, nothing special. We opted for the no room service to get a $10 credit. The morning of check out, which is at 11, a maid tried to get into the room at 9:30. We were getting ready and had to run to the door to close it before she came in. As we shut the door in a rush, we hear the maid get upset that we shut the door. Called the front desk to advise them that we weren't the only ones they had woken up and attempted to enter other's rooms. Front desk advised me that we should have hung the do not disturb tag. I've never had a hotel where the maids knock once then enter the room. It was very intrusive and I've never dealt with this before. I understand they need to clean the rooms, but honestly that should start AFTER we check out. OR we should be made aware that they will be starting cleaning early and to make sure we hang the tag if we will not be ready to go at 9AM …
A nice hotel. No refrigerator in the room or coffee pot. You can request a fridge for $15 per day. The buffet is very good. The employees are friendly and helpful. They need to update the faucets in the bathroom.
Casino type, one of the oldest in LAS.
Comfortable and spacious rooms.
We went to the bar to drink, which is located outside on the main street Las Vegas BLVD. Comparmos A few cheap drinks and was playing the DJ musica that we liked. I like to stop there because it is very convenient and fun when you are walking the Strip of Las Vegas!
Harrah's is a very fun and beautiful place. Its bar, the Piano bar, was a good place to have a drink and enjoy the live music.
We went on a show to this hotel "The Tenors of rock" very good show. If you're a fan of the 80s rock, you're going to have fun.
Nice but the buffet is not rich.
I like that already areglaron the hotel, excellent place on the strip this Caracas of many thing S.
Look elsewhere. The 3 rooms booked were not available when we arrived, we had to go into other temporary rooms and move "again" the next day. Somehow, the hotel messed up the booking. The wait at reception is a shocker, the lines are long and move very slow. On the first 2 days we seemed to spend more time in reception than enjoying our holiday. For switching rooms, we were told to just go to the KEY line… It would be that simple. No… that line was long and slow, too. The rooms that were promised for 11.00am were not available *it was 2pm* and again the hotel were scrambling about trying to sort rooms. What a mess and painful having to stand in long lines wasting time. Not professional at all. Other guests were also complaining about the service and they had experienced it before. Our accommodation *deal* included a continental breakfast… What we didn't know was that the max value of the breakfast was $9.00 each. The "breakfast" is provided in Starbucks. Average coffee cost is $7.00. If you want a juice, it's not included… What it really means is that you get a whopping $9 voucher to spend… towards the cost of breakfast. Very poor for such a large hotel, the worst continental breakfast deal we've ever had in such a grand location as Vegas. NO small fridge in the room, no coffee making facilities in the room and we were not in the cheapest rooms either. Overall, location is good but we won't stay here again.
There is no nicer staff in Las Veges. Best Casino staff ever.
We just had a coffee at the Starbucks at the casino. But a lot of cheerful people around to the security guard dancing.
Superb Las Vegas casino hotel Its rooms are very spacious and luxurious fingerprints of all comforts is located on the most popular street of Las Vegas…
In 1984, American pop singer Laura Branigan, who had reached international fame in 1982 with her album version of "Gloria", performed a live concert at Caesars Palace during her national tour to promote her third and best-selling album "Self Control". The show was recorded and then released under the name "Laura Branigan in Concert" in VHS and Laserdisc format.
That same year the construction of Caesars Palace began. The first 14-storey tower would have 680 rooms in an area of 138.000 square meters.
Deciding the name of the hotel was not an easy task for Sarno. Finally, he chose to baptize him as "Caesars Palace" to evoke the grandeur of the Roman leader Julius Caesar. Sarno wanted each one of the guests to feel like a king in a royal palace while staying at his hotel. For this reason it is called "Caesars Palace" ("Palace of the Caesars") and not "Caesars Palace" ("Palace of Caesar").
Sarno hired many companies to build the building and its features decorations.
On August 6, 1966, the hotel was inaugurated with Andy Williams and Phil Richards in charge of the show. They both interpreted Julius Caesar in a play that night. Two days later, the Spanish artists Xavier Cugat and Charo became the first couple to marry in the new establishment.
On December 31, 1967, Acrobat Evel Knievel tried unsuccessfully to jump the water fountain of Caesars Palace by riding his motorcycle.
It is in the middle of the Strip of Las Vegas, and has for monorail (I think shared), which from my point of view is very important because… If it is a street but it is very long and the hotels are huge so you better go on monorail.
I love staying at Harrahs because it's centrally located on the Strip. No, it's not the fanciest, but they are I. The middle if updating all the rooms and we got a recently finished room, it was beautiful. Beds were great, we had a nice view of the Ferris wheel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I also lime staying there because it doesn't take you 20 minutes to get to your room, like some of the bigger hotels.
I am staying in the newly designed room. It is amazing. The bathroom has a huge glass sliding door, and three soap dispensers. So no more leaking soaps tubes now. The room is beautifully designed too. Nice open space yet it does not feel empty.
Beautiful and comfortable, very clean and very safe, the employees with excellent treatment, although we did not speak the language, always solicitous to help, I loved.
In the central part of the strip, one of the places you need to visit, part of Caesars Entretainment.
I'm utterly shocked at the redesign. The only thing that looks the same is the logo! My room was impeccable, contemporary, luxurious, comfortable and perfect appointed. The staff have always been great, the food was delicious and the parking is convenient. Harrah's has always been a good deal, but at this price Harrah's transitioned away from looking like a garish Holiday Inn, you only sleep at, to a desirable location you want to stay at. I didn't even bother visiting a lot of other casinos this trip. I just stayed in my room!
Very good seafood and attention.
I loved my stay at this hotel, excellent service super good price and a great location, very clean rooms and the place too, lots of security and with direct station from the monorail.
I was pleasantly surprised regarding the rooms at Harrah's. The rooms must have been renovated pretty recently. The decor is much more modern with glass bathroom doors and new light fixtures. I LOVE the fact the rooms have a small vanity with it's own light up mirrors, perfect for girls to put on their makeup! The room was very reasonably priced and is pretty much on the strip. I only took off a star since you still have to pay for separate parking fees.
Travel to the heart of Vegas, high-rise rooms that smell like smoke or you'll cross the Yanks with cowboy hats that come up from the bud in the room… but it's not as a bit that we came looking;)?. Good an effort on the bathrooms would still be not bad!
Second experience in 2018 in rooms that have been redone. They seem to have been well worn.
It's not that bad. We were in the Mardi Gras building and it is quite old. It gives the impression that it is not very maintained. The reception is always crowded and the receptionists are not friendly with everything. For 30 more balls you can go to the Bellagio.
For the price and the location I would have expected more. My room was quite dirty with a view of the hotel infrastructure. Next time I take another hotel…
My experience at this hotel was awesome. I celebrated my 21st birthday in Vegas, and I had a great time. This hotel is on the strip and the center of everything. We stayed in the newly remodeled rooms in the valley tower. The beds were VERY comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean, and the view from the room was superb. Also, check in and check out process was simple, but allow enough time to check out and check in because people are constantly checking in and out all times of the night since the hotel is pretty big. The next time I'm in Vegas I would be staying at the Harrah's hotel, and I recommend everybody to stay here too!
I’m allergic to feathered pillows, and while I got transferred 3 different times to the right department, I was placed on hold for 8 minutes and never got any help. Also, don’t expect a refrigerator or microwave in your room. You must rent a refrigerator for $15 a night! Like everything else isn’t expensive enough! Will never stay here again; horrible services. & not to mention long wait times to check in with only 4 people working.
Nice hotel with very good food.
Such a wonderful hotel! The buffet flavors is so good right on the main floor of the hotel. Early check-in is only $30 which was awesome because I got in at 10am. The bed was so comfortable the bathroom was amazing and the room service was great. You are close to so much food options as well and the Linq is literally right next to the front door!
I December 15 check out, 16th morning found their jacket forgotten in the wardrobe, call the hotel Lost-and-found office, told me no record, do not have to ask is to clean the staff of the private left, helpless room without a camera, can only say that the hotel staff quality is too poor, The hotel does not really take guests as God! Please do not put the expensive clothes in the wardrobe when you stay in the hotel, it is easy to forget!
Central location and great value for money. The rooms are clean and the staff friendly.
Great casino with good poker and table games. The table minimums are high ($50 craps and $25 blackjack) during the weekends, but overall a good atmosphere. They are also plenty to do if you are not into gambling. There are at least six different restaurant with tons of food court options. A great outdoor patio area and a few sprinkling of stores.
The Mardy Grass Tower definitely needs a remodel looks as bad as it smells.
I went to Flavors Buffett for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. I love a buffet with lots of different meat choices. They had prime rib, (melt in my mouth good) turkey, ham, crab legs and shrimp. The waitstaff were nice, they took away dirty dishes promptly. I would recommend trying out Flavors if you are in or near Harrah's.
Nice hotel, great location. The hotel is being remodeled… Just like any hotel in Las Vegas, take an extra amount to pay for the Resort Fee and additional insurance. The amount of the additional insurance is returned to you at the end of the stay.
We went to see tenors of Rock and the room was comfortable and the acoustics good.
Very centrally located — a bit of the carnival theme is taken up, but it really doesn't get through. The buffet is OK. Overall recommended if you don't want to rent in the expensive hotels.
The place has a great location, the service is good, the bad thing is that there is Q pay an extra amount for the Wi-Fi network, cleanliness is good, I liked it.
Excellent location (on the strip near the Bellagio) and cleanliness. The promo breakfast is bad (you have $9 p breakfast at Starbucks, you reach for 1 late Chico and half croissant).
We arrived and they changed our room with an Imperial suite on the top floor, dizzying!
Excellent Oyster Bar Feel free to eat at the bar.
Nice. But no charm. And the air conditioning is super strong. Good for a few nights.
There is one of the best burgherie ever tried.
Casino Review: This casino is a great place to play. Their mixture of machines is great! The keno is the only machines we have found to be pretty loose. The video poker machines are pretty hit and miss. The slots we seem to never have good luck with. We would recommend this casino for Keno play for sure.
When we arrived we were told our room we booked months ago wasn't available. We also found out that parking wasn't free as advertised on their site. Charge was $10 per day. We were finally given a temporary room (nonsmoking) only to wake up and find out the shower was broken. Got moved to another room to be able to shower. We were guaranteed our room would be available after 4. We returned at 5 only to find out our room was given away. After going off the deep end at this point we were finally given our room. We then settled in and found out sleeping was difficult due to the construction work on the next floor. Overall experience was horrible and will never return to this hotel.
My group and I stopped over at the piano bar in Harrah's. We were meeting a few friends for drinks and wanting to catch Karaoke. Unfortunately, the Karaoke ended at 9. The music afterwards was not very good. The atmosphere was very calming though. The casino area was nice as well.
SIGNATURE BAR — Best in Vegas! My wife and I are partial to three-line video poker. And our favorite place for this is the Signature Bar at Harrah's in Las Vegas. During our latest trip, we were served by Vegas icon Tommy, as well as TJ, Marcos, Ed, Mark and Giovanni. Each exhibited their own brand of friendly and efficient service, plus they make the world's best kamikaze! See you guys again in December.
Very entertaining the place, good food, good music and pretty hostesses.
Classic Hotel/Casino in downtown Las Vegas. Inside there is a good restaurant all you can heat, open to all and not only to the guests of the hotel.
Visited Harrah's for their buffet, Flavors. Was very yummy with a large selection of options. Lots of snow crab too! Also really enjoyed the dessert bar. The mini-cheesecakes were some of the best I have ever tasted. The price was on par with other buffets in town and the quality above par. Enjoyed and would eat there again.
Had a 3 night comp for a blackjack tournament and upgraded to a Jr. Suite. This allowed 3 teens to have their own space and give myself some needed room as well. Probably one of the best rooms I have ever had. Opted out of cleaning during my stay for food and beverage credits. Harrah's staff is great at providing customer service and care.
Casino without interest, the weekend there is a dual piano show.
The renovated rooms are superb, clean bathroom, easy access to the casinos and the Strip.
Travel to the heart of Vegas, high-rise rooms that smell like smoke or you'll cross the Yanks with cowboy hats that come up from the bud in the room… but it's not as a bit that we came looking;)?. Good an effort on the bathrooms would still not hurt.
So disappointed. Room is tiny and outdated. Weirdly low ceilings. Wifi limited to two devices only? It's 2016 come on. The pool is so tiny I expected a resort style pool for 250 a night but was sadly disappointed and security is on you right away if you bring an outside drink to the pool. I'm not some cheap guy with a cooler full of beer, we're talking one of those yard size margaritas. What am I gonna do with it? There's no refrigerator in the room to keep it in. Buffet here is equivalent to a golden corral except for the price is 30$ lol I seriously feel like I paid Caesars palace price for an airport hotel holiday inn experience. Will not stay again. I don't even wanna think about what those stains on the bedding were.
Check in on Friday was not pleasant. Lines were absurdly long. However, the renovated rooms are very nice and made our stay pretty memorable. Recommend.
The worst customer service/ checkin / reception I have ever experienced my entire life. It took me 1 hour to get in line to checkin. The line is long but there is only 1, 2 staff working to check people in. One of them named Carie is the rudest human beings. She made a mistake and gave me wrong room keys, it was her fault. I went back down to exchange the keys, and she told me to get in line ALL OVER AGAIN FOR ANOTHER 1 HOUR AND 30 MINS. And she treated me like I want to cut the line or something, for some mistakes I didn't make. I swear to all kind of gods, never come back! ever!
The next time we return to Las Vegas we WILL NOT be staying at Harrah's Las Vegas again! The rooms were similar to Motel 6. Walls are paper thin, one of the other guests had a dog which continually barked and woke us up. Pillows are hard giving us a kink on our necks. Small cramped rooms, small television, small old bath tub, refrigerator continually made humming sound, funishings all old and out dated. These rooms were not comp room, we paid for them! In addition, we were celebrating a birthday, wish we had booked at another hotel. However, the customer service was outstanding!
Went to see The Million Dollar Quartet. Awesome show! Great Venue as well. Everything was a great atmosphere for a group outing. Everyone associated with the show was very helpful and friendly. Hotel is in a good spot on the Strip to start at if you want to explore the area.
Perfectly located in the central area of las Vegas… the rooms are spacious and clean…
I don't like the swimming pool and the food. But the Carnival are new/Buenos.
Mari is the greatest server is Las Vegas! She was the sole reason my friends and I continued to gamble at Harrah's! I've been to every casino in the downtown area and Mari made Harrah's the greatest casino experience. We love her! Keep up the good work!
My trip to Las Vegas and my stay at the Harrah's Las Vegas hotel was the best I enjoyed the room enjoyed the view and it is just amazing. I haven't been to Las Vegas in years and it has really grown my husband and I really enjoyed our stay our hotel was located on the south side of the strip so we had a complete view of everything. The hotel staff was nice and courteous it was just a delight the view of the mountains sitting in my hotel room is just astonishing it's breathtaking so I would say we really are having a beautiful time this would be our second time in Vegas loving it.
Mardi Gras rooms were renovated (or at lwast the floor we were on… 20). Got lucky and was awarded a free stay on Easter weekend. Somehow managed to get extra lucky and booked an executive suite. It was beautiful! Way too much room for 2 of us, but an amazing experience. They also fixed up the food court area and have a bunch of different options. Harrahs will always be one of our favorite places to stay because of location. We will be back!
Location was perfect. The room pricing reasonable for Vegas. The staff was okay. We forgot some important documents in the safe when we checked out. I called back and security had retrieve them promptly. We were able to come back from the airport and return in time to make our flight! Overall it was a 4 star experience.
Unique views of Vegas attractions make every room good. Our one complaint was that there's no fridge/microwave in the room — maybe due to recent remodeling but still kind of an inconvenience. How can you wake up the morning after a crazy night and eat your leftovers from one of the theme restaurants when they've gone bad? Trivial type complaint aside, the room is nice, bed is comfortable, and we would definitely stay again.
Nice stay for the price. Rooms were just ok. Our refrigerator did not work and no in room coffee pot. Beds were comfortable. They are remodeling rooms and I will look forward to seeing the new ones.
Harrah's has a nice location on the strip. The oyster bar is a nice place, had fish and chips there. The room has a nice view of the strip, it is clean and everything works. The hotel could use some updating, but it's still an enjoyable experience. Not here to gamble, so can't say anything there.
All in all very good. Good casino… in the Middle of the strip…
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Pretty good location. Easy walk to Venetian, Mirage, Flamingo, Caesar's, Linq, and even Bellagio. White Case restaurant right next door. Resort fees are charged exorbinant just like they are everywhere else. It's not a luxury hotel but it's very nice and generally good for the money.
Number one reason to stay at Harrah's — The Monorail. If you are here for a convention, and odds say that you might be, then this is a solid mid/low-range choice to have SUPER easy low-cost travel access to the convention center. Now, for the rest of you who want to know about the place itself, read-on. Harrahs might be the Walmart of the casino world. They have locations all across the nation. Luxor cant say that. MGM Grand cant say that. Harrahs is a institution. The room we stayed in was small, clean, and a little worn. Typical of what you may expect in a hotel with 1000+ rooms. The casino also seemed worn, old. Not nearly as nice as the LINQ next door, or the far greater posh setup over at the COSMO. Still, I feel like we had a good value, great access to the mono-rail, good good in the lobby at the market and easy access for UBER drivers too. All in all, placed just about in the middle of the strip, I would say this is a good place to unpack you bags and lose a ton of money.
With Resort Fees up to $25/night Harrahs is a good bargain as they do not have Resort Fees. Yes, it is not the most luxurious place to stay at, but for the price and location it is OK. The way I see it, is that the money you save on accommodations you can put towards having a great dinner or additional gambling money. The room I stayed in was clean and it had a view of the strip. It had easy access to the casino floor and strip.
Forget about the luxury and have fun. Harrah's is far away from the luxury you may be aware when staying in other hotels along the Strip. That's one big reason to choose it for your stay in Vegas. Harrah's is really cheap when comparing it to The Venetian, Caesar, Wynn, Palazzo, Paris Las Vegas among others. Harrah's is well located, right in the middle of the Strip. It is at a walking distance from most hot spots in Vegas, including its most famous neighboring hotels. Furniture is old but reasonably comfortable. Rooms are equiped with ar conditioning, locker, and lots of cabinets. Free Wi-Fi is available for only one device per room at a time.
I wasn't really impressed with this hotel. Many of the restaurants were closed, which made it stupid to pay a resort fee (it was obviously too cold to swim). Our room's heating unit stopped working and I was told it would take 45 minutes for someone to come fix it. When someone did come to fix it, they didn't actually fix the problem so we were left in a freezing room for the remainder of our trip. There was a cabinet in the room holding the fridge, but when opened, it wreaked! Housekeeping could have done a better job of removing garbage from room as well. Casino was decent… buffet for breakfast is okay as well, but over priced. Won't stay here again!
Compared to other hotels with its adjoining casino in Las Vegas is less spectacular and grandiose. However it is very clean and tidy. Very sad to see all the old men playing the slot machines all day 24/7.
Its location is one of the best hotels in Las Vegas in front of Mirage//Ceacers Palace, the hotel is old but they have renovated also the rates you can get inexpensive with free breakfast. — In addition to how much with a law firm and delicious and very cheap.
This is the worst hotel and service I've ever had, and I travel every week. After three unacceptable rooms due to filth and noise, we finally found one to be habitable. The next morning we were awakened by a wake up call at 6 a. M. That we did not request. This was followed by housekeeping at 10 a. M. Trying to get us to leave for an 11:00 check out. They came back at 11:00, propped the door open and started to clean, even though we were using the bathroom. When I left to find a manager with my complaints, the lines had 15 people waiting ahead of me, and I gave up. I would give zero stars here if I could. We should have stayed at Caesars Palace.
Slow check-in but pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms seem clean, but they're pretty dated; its kind of like showering at grandma's house. Smells of smoke despite being a non-smoking room, unfortunately. Definitely no frills, not a room that will impress whatsoever. On the plus side, the beds are comfortable and that's really the only point of a hotel room in Vegas.
We booked a month in advance and paid for the first nite. We get to Harrahs and they don't have our non smoking room with a king size bed. Talked to the manager and she was in no way accomodating us with the room we reserved or for that matter trying to make other arrangements with an affiliated hotel. We ended up with a smoking room (that smells like hell). I have been coming to vegas for 25 yrs it isn't what it used to be. I will never stay at Harrahs again.
This is the WORST hotel experience we have ever had! Do not stay here. We came in late off of a 6 hour flight after working all day and were told at the time of booking we should be able to check in when we arrive at 11:30 pm if a room was available. Unfortunately they did not have a room and we were told we had to wait until 4pm or 12 the next after noon if we were card members. We then were told we could pay an extra $35 plus tax and check in early. She stated staff starts cleaning at 8 am and has rooms available at 10 for an extra fee. This is poor customer service on this hotels behalf to be so greedy to charge the customers an extra $40 to check in when rooms are already available. GREED! We worked all day flew in on a late flight and were running on NO sleep! Security came and moved us every time we were trying to nap stating the area was off limits. The staff here is VERY unhelpful, RUDE and seemed to enjoy our u fortunate situation instead of trying to help and see our stay was enjoyable. The entire time we waited the 11 hours to get a room we never saw anyone with drinks. This place is like the desert! This hotel is the absolute worse! We came to Vegas to have a blast and so far this place has ruined our trip entirely! DO NOT STAY HERE!
Worest place to stay at vegas. Dirty rooms, no refrigeration, no microwaves, and the food sucks. This place is a disgrace to the strip. Never again!
Very well located and cheaper than others, but they charge you 180 dollars for Internet and gym use (what may be completely unuseful to some people — like me) and it was mandatory to pay. Lots of gambling options but there are bigger and more interesting ones on the Strip. The room I am staying is a simple one, nothing special about it. There are smoking and non smoking rooms, so, be aware. The bathroom could be a better one for a Harrahs standard. The woman that was supposed to help me with the luggage in the check in was more concerned to charge me for this than helping me before it.
Stayed at Harrah's — Carnaval Tower — from October 14 to 20th, 2015. Efficient check-in and check-out. Room was clean. Location can not be beat: middle of the action! If you want to have real fun, go to Carnaval Court! Make sure to be or become a Total Rewards member! Will be back in the Spring!
You need to think not much to write. Just a small Tip: The lower rooms in the area of the outdoor pools have free W-Lan.
Las Vegas is by far my favorite place on earth. This was my fourth trip to Vegas. I chose Harrah's because it has an excellent location on the strip. However, that's all it is good for. Don't fall for their "cheap" online prices. You will have to pay a $28 per day resort fee once you check in or check out. I never leave online reviews, but I pray that my experience will prevent someone else from having the horrid time that I did at this hotel/casino. I'm not sure when Harrahs starting doing this, but at every point during your stay they will attempt to extract as much cash from you in the most criminal way possible. Anything that is labeled as "free" or "complimentary" will come with a huge catch. They do not care about you. They do not value your business. Never once did a staff employee say thank you or please. We were treated like a complete inconvenience the entire trip. To start off the trip we were forced to pay an early check in fee of $33.00 unless we went and waited in a 30 minute line to join their rewards program. We reluctantly went and got the rewards card, where we were attempted to get sold on everything from a room upgrade to buffets. My problem isn't that they try to sell you things, it's how they try to do it. They love saying things are "free" and then hitting you hard will a ridiculous tax when it comes time to actually use it. A great example is their Mac King comedy show. Everyone gets a "free" ticket with their room key.
This hotel is a disgrace to the Caesars line of hotels. They should rename it Harrahs MOTEL and shitty casino! I am here for a business trip and had not yet stayed here before but I have stayed at the Atlantic city Harrahs so many times I can't count so I thought it might be similar. Boy was I wrong! I checked in today, I am now on my third room change! My first room was filthy… yellow walls, huge black stains all over the carpet, hair in the corners of the bathroom, mold all over the shower, and some black stuff all over the closet (that was wet! ). I changed rooms and the second room was ok but after about 30 minutes my eyes started watering and getting really red and my throat was scratchy. Something that only happens to me when I am around cats. Well sure enough, a cat was in the room with the guest before me! So now on to my third room, still kind of dirty but barable (Yes I am actually writing this while at the motel because it's been that bad). On top of all of that there is nothing in the room. No fridge, no coffee maker, no ice bucket, nothing. Room service is ONLY offered till 11AM, yes I said AM. The food options downstairs are limited so it's probably best to go out to a restaurant but I am not here in leisure and did not want to spend a lot of my own money but I guess that won't happen. The casino is gross, super tight slot machines, and trash all over the floor. For me the worst thing has been customer service.
We've stayed at Harrah's over 70 times and LOVE it there. Best location on the strip and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are perfect and the new Food Court they just added last year is just what they needed. Tobey Keith's Bar and Grill has fabulous food and their Buffet is awesome. Harrah's also has the best Dueling Piano Bar on the strip, well, probably in all of Las Vegas! The Twins, Kim and Tammy play Thursday to Sunday. They are very talented, hilarious, wild and pretty down-to-earth young ladies! Everyone loves the piano bar and some customers ONLY go to Vegas to see the twins play. Harrah's might not have gold taps in their washrooms or flowers at the entrance but the staff are great and the casino pays out. Love that place, we've never had one problem in the many many years that we've stayed there!
Don't do it unless you absolutely have to. There are much better hotels on the strip for a decent price. The casino was one of my favorites and they had a great buffet so we figured we would stay here. The Mardi Gras tower needs an update badly. The halls smell, and the rooms are small and ugly. The carpet is disgusting. The halls are filthy to the point where there was food on the floor for days. Housekeeping did a mediocre job. They replaced towels but didn't bother to touch our bed on the first night. Second night was better. Not that big of a deal but shows how rushed they are and how little they care. Night 2 there was a roach crawling across my bathroom mirror and that was the end of it for me. I will never stay again. Also they allow tons of overly pushy in your face Windham time share people who will lie to your face just to get you to stop. The hotel gets 2 stars for the great customer service upon checkin. Update upon checkout. Changed from 2 stars to one because for the first time ever a hotel charged us 7.50 to print our boarding passes. Then we had some hope. We tried to get a taxi and the guy says there's a free shuttle leaving now. We get on the shuttle only to find it charges 10.00 a head. I don't care about the fee I care because he lied to us.
Would never stay here again… Getto! the walls are paper thin, carpets were dirty the cleaning ladies were very loud early in the mornings and the people are extremely loud all hours of the night, food in the hallways and two nights we were here the cleaning lady left either cleaning products in our room and wet and dirty pillow cases, not sure that they were even ours since we didn't have wet pillow cases; GROSS! There is a resort fee of $28 per day and a $200 deposit that they will charge our account for and on our charge card we were charged double in resort fees plus the $200 so if we have of wanted to spend $424 of our own money we couldn't because they had it tied up. Needless to say don't stay here unless it is the only thing that you can afford and even then buyer beware because they will get ya on that "resort fee". Oh yea and when we asked to speak to the manager about being charged double in resort fees she never showed her face after waiting a considerable amount of time. Oh yea and we bought tickets to the improv and the girl told us everything was sold out in the cheaper seats a we bought a ticket right up from at a premium price and when the show started that room was like half full and there were plenty of cheaper seats available so she lied to us; ps there isn't a bad seat in the house so don't spring for a seat up front.
The new casual restaurant area is nice and offers a good variety of food including a Asian noodle bar. The actual hotel rooms are very dated. Walls are thin and I could hear people coughing / vomiting through the walls and pipes. The water temperature of the faucet would also spike causing me to almost get burned.
Reasonable price $80 after resort fee and located in the middle of the strip. Great bars if you dont like dressing up with carnaval court, piano bar and toby keith bar. Also a great sports book.
It's been a month now since I logged a formal complaint with Harrahs of Las Vegas. As of now I have not received a response, so I will post my complaint here, so as to inform others of our experience. The customer service portal was not working, so I am sending this complaint through this survey. We have stayed at Harrahs for the last several times we have been in LV. I also try to stay there when I am there for business, however, this will be the last time that we stay at the hotel. We (4 in our party) were there on 2/14 — 2/17, hoping to have a fun Valentines day and to celebrate my birthday on the 16th. We arrived early and the rooms were not ready, which we understood, and knew that they would not be ready until around 4pm. We were told to go ahead and do the checkin paperwork and then all we would need to do is go to the information desk and pick up the key and you would not have to wait in line. Great, we came back a little before 4, had a couple of people in front of us and noticed that these people were checking into the hotel and not just picking up keys. We waiting 30 minutes before asking to speak to the manager. The manager was on the phone and we stood there another 15 minutes, 5 feet away from her and she never even acknowledge us. We finally interrupted her and ask if she could please help us and she just shrugged her shoulders and continued on with her phone conversation.
This was the worse place, to anyone that wrote a good room review they did not look down. The carpeting was so dirty it would turn bottom of my feet black going from Bed to Bathroom. Went to desk they were not very friendly and no other rooms were available. Met several people in elevator one couple switched rooms 3 times she said. My opinion would not gamble with these rooms again. Filthy.
My husband and I stayed here for a free 2 night stay we received through total rewards. Checking in and out was very easy and the room was clean (we got a free upgrade! ). The bed and pillows were super comfy and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great experience overall. We'd definitely visit this place again.
Lots of fun is the best.
They have a wide attention in the dining room. It is a huge hotel with large capacity and good facilities.
Very good hotel. Located in the center of the strip so everything is fairly close. The only thing wrong with the schedule of the pool that closed at 7.

Nice newly renovated rooms. Very courteous staff. Love where it is located on the strip. Has it's own monorail stop it was convient the new showers are interesting not sure if we were a fan of that. Definitely not a fan of the smell they pump into the hotel lobby and casino area. Sickly sweet and cloyingly overbearing.
