Do not stay here. They’re unorganized and do not care about their guests. When I made my reservation I called to request a late check out for 2 PM and a roll away crib, when I arrived they had not made any note of this request. I had to wait an hour for a crib to be brought to my room and when it was brought it was dirty with chipping paint and I was uncomfortable putting my son in it. Our room did not have a hair dryer in it and I had to go to the front desk to request one at which point I was met with a terrible attitude and practically accused of stealing the hair dryer that should have been there. On top of all of this when I returned to the room at 1 PM on my checkout day to gather my things and change clothes our hotel keys were no longer working. When I went to the front desk to ask why I couldn’t get in my room, the employee who was smacking on her food at the computer told me that there was no note of my request and that I couldn’t be let back into the room because it had already been cleaned, and any items that had been left behind were lost to us. Absolutely AWFUL hotel. Do not stay here.

We checked in 07/09/2021. We have mold on both of our comforters, the sheets and pillows smell awful. We left at 6:47 to go grab something to eat. I asked before we left if we could get a new comforters and he said “let me see if we have any extra ones. ” We come back from eating and still have the same molded comforters on the beds! VERY Disgusted! This hotel is not worth the rates per night at all. We will be taking this higher up!

What a dirty hotel. Housekeeping needs to do better. The hall floors looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in days. Glass doors to the pools need a good windex. The breakfast ha what a joke! The pool was ok but that area needs cleaning especially with covid going on. The DG down the rd OMG! HORRIBLE! Went to get sanitizing wipe so that I can wipe down our room and Clean the pool area tables and chairs, which needs updating. Pool bathroom counters and toilet are filthy. The ice room was filthy. (A spill on the floor from the night before. ) Elevators were gross.
Beds were comfortable.

Polite staff, clean, comfortable and quiet. What more needs to be said?

We had a great stay here on 2 occasions. The employees are friendly & helpful. Jessie did a great job of keeping the breakfast bar stocked. The king bed was really comfortable & the TV was large for a hotel. Thanks!

Dirty and water damage must have made a claim and never fixed it. Owner probably pocket the money.

I have stayed at this hotel several times since it opened. The staff is always friendly, the rates are acceptable (a bit pricey, I think, but worth it), the rooms are always clean and cozy, and the breakfast is amazing.

The staff was nice but the breakfast was terrible. The pull out mattress was literally disgusting and they didn't want to change the sheets on the actual bed like they should have. Furniture is old, worn, nicked and scratched up. The AC blasts a strong mildew odor. One clerk at the front desk totally lied about being able to adjust the dates on my room and then another was able to do it. Long story short — You may as well stay at Motel 6 and even then depending on which one you stay at it might be a better option than this place. You've been warned!

Everything was nice and they staff was very friendly and polite. I would stay here again when I’m visiting this area.

For almost $100 per night, you would think they would provide working showers and/or bathtubs. We have been here for 2 nights and 3 days with no cold water. They were notified of the issue our first night here and assured us that it would be fixed the following day. Our 3rd day here and it has still not been resolved. Staff is wonderful, as is the food, but for the price, it is not worth it if you cannot take a bath/shower or bathe your children after being in the heat all day. They have made no offer of refund, partial or otherwise, and nothing has been done to compensate for the fact that we can't wash. I will never stay at another Holiday Inn if it can be helped.

It was ok. Good location to and from work. Close to so e good food that was one of the big plusses! Twin peaks and hooters are within walking distance plus a good rib joint! People are genuinely nice… facility is better than average but some issues with running out of various items during breakfast. Food was so so… maybe I got a bad day but on a scale from 1-10, I would rate it a 6-6.5.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days and on the fourth day I went to renew my reservation the front desk clerk (younger african American women) told me that I couldn't, she proceeded to call a manager out of a side office, older African American women, who walked up to the counter and looked at the computer for a few seconds and told me and my boyfriend we could no longer stay because of the type of credit card we had been using, mind you we had been using the same card for the first 3 days we stayed and they had no problems using it, so we asked her since the money had been taken off our card already was it ok to stay another night and just leave that morning because we had NO WHERE TO GO! The African American women looked us directly in our faces and told us no! So here we are stranded in baton rouge with no place to go, with all of our luggage and I do mean all of it, until this strange we don't know offer us a ride off of the property and helped us find another place to stay, I will never go back to this hotel! Management is terrible! The only reason I gave this hotel one star is because it wouldn't let me complete my review without giving something, but it deserves no stars at all.

Very friendly staff, clean, spacious room with microwave and mini fridge. Was exactly what my family needed and wanted. Very nice breakfast.

Update: after speaking to the third shift they comped half our room. Traveling with two kids. First impression not bad. Had to wait a few minutes for a front desk clerk no biggy. I asked for a cart to bring our stuff up to our room. They said they don’t know where they are and can’t locate them. Finally getting to our room I notice stains throughout all the hallways, door frames broken and black marks all over the walls and the doors. Felt more like a motel 6. We get to our room and turn on the a/c. As soon as we turn it on the entire front panel falls. We call they came up and said well it’s broken we can’t really fix it. The a/c barely blows cold, black marks on a few of the pillows, almost every towel had someone else’s hair in them. I usually always stay at the holiday-inn express and this by far is the dirtiest and under maintained hotel I’ve stayed in.

Great location, comfortable bed, great shower, quiet room, plenty to see and do locally and wonderful reception person with Robyn. There’s a reason I typically stay at HIE properties. They’re typically consistently a good value for the traveling customer. The only thing the room could use are more outlets near the bedside tables.

There's a reason we stay at Holiday Inn Express… it's consistent. (It's not right on the road so you need to be looking for it to see it and know when to turn. ) Close to restaurants and shopping.

Mar. 8/9, 2018 Front Desk Rep. Was professional, friendly and helpful. We were greeted w/smile and promptly checked in. Rooms were super-clean, very spacious w/plenty of accessories. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of different foods to choose from very tasty. Ms. Sahara Street kindly assisted when I lost my tablet, which was very much appreciated — Thank You. Holiday Inn Express & Suites will definitely be our go to hotel whenever in the area. Thanks everyone for all that you do/Appreciate You…

1. Door to room tweaked in such a way that I can see into the hall with the door closed. 2. Housekeeping has decided that I do not require toilet paper. Has left empty roll on bathroom counter for two consecutive days. 3. Microwave plug was ripped from wall, leaving the ground prong left in the socket and unable to reach any outlet. Unusable. 4. Spent 15 minutes troubleshooting the T. V. Arrangement the first night to get it to work. 5. Killed a roach in the room the second night. This is a surprising first, given I've stayed in hotels from Arkansas to Florida.

Nice room, lovely staff, except for the fact that they kept changing our rooms to downgrade them while upgrading the price.

Hotel appearance seemed nice but when I went to the bathroom to take a shower I was disappointed to see another man's hair all over the bathroom floor actually felt a little grossed out. Staff was nice an helpful getting the room I did not report this because of only staying one night passing through. I'm happy I remembered to grab my personal house shoes.

This is the second time I had a bad experience. It was very cold, and the heater was not working. They gave us a new room. Even that room had same issue. On top of it the shower was broken. If after we called no one attended. They showed up next morning just 15 mins we are about to checkout. The breakfast should be the only reason to stay here.

Overall we had a pleasant stay. However, something in our room triggered a severe attack on my allergies. It could have been caused by anything from the air freshener used to a dirty HVAC system. I was fine when I entered the room.

We love this place and are repeat visitors, our home away from home. The employees are professional the breakfast is great and we never have issues here. Thank you for being so nice.

Worst holiday Inn I have ever stayed. The shower wasn't working in the first room they gave us, we requested for a change of room. And then the second room didn't have phone, heater not working. This was the second time experience for us. We had a bad experience in 2016 February as well with the same hotel.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. They didn't have extra toilet paper in the rooms, so we ran out before we checked out, but otherwise it was a nice place. We liked their pancake machine for breakfast.

Great staff, great rooms. My crew and I had been in Florida for 2 weeks for Irma, this hotel got us in, to are rooms and comfortable very quickly. Also the best beds we had slept in our entire trip. Very comfortable.

This is the second time I had a very bad experience. On Sep 18, 2017, when I came back to my room after a long tiring day, I found the room was not made. No towels were replaced, the bathroom was just in the same state I left in the morning. When I called reception they told they will send the housekeeping to make up the room. After 30 minutes of wait, when no one came I called again and they told they had no one available. She did not have the courtesy to call me and tell the issues. The response was very rude. I felt like I need to check out and get into another hotel. But I was so tired that I had no energy. I am definitely goin to check out first thing in the morning and never going to stay at this place again. I will also spread the word to all my colleagues and the company intranet so that no one will have to suffer like I did. In the morning when I left I also made a service request that the sink was draining. They noted down the service request but nothing was done. I stayed in this hotel last time July 31 – Aug 3 2017. I was allotted a deluxe room. I had similar experience. The bathroom shower was dirty. Long hair were sticking on the wall, the seal aroung the bath tub had mold all along and was gross. I took picture and showed at the reception. They changed the room so I forgot about the discomfort. However my experience today on Sep 18, 2017 is very frustrating.

The only reason I'm giving Holiday Inn Express & Suites Baton Rouge four stars is the exceptional service. The front desk could not have been any better including check in. However, our room is a whole different story. To start with we opened our door to see our pillows at the end of the beds with no pillow cases on them and two cases laying on the bed like they went to get more and never made it back. The front desk was very attentive and ready to help or move us to another room. We just had someone come finish the room real quick. Next, we ran out of toilet paper and Kleenex the next day. We only stayed two nights and only give a roll of toilet paper on the roller. There was mold growing under the refrigerator that was visible without moving it. The inside was very clean and even smelled clean. The shower was extremely disappointing. The water pressure was worse than any hotel I or my husband have ever seen. Washing your hair was near impossible. Lastly, the second night we were there the A/C must have frozen up in the middle of the night and flooded the floor around it.

Room is clean. Bed is great. Wifi in the room. Shower and tub clean, but not particularly pretty/modern. Service is friendly and helpful. Outdoor pool. Typical breakfast included. Coffee (etc. ) available gratis in lobby. Room has a Kuerig. Conveniently located near highway. Large Target and multiple restaurants in the immediate area.

Lazy staff. After staying 2 days I had to ask for cleaning products to clean my own bathroom and refresh coffee. This was never done. Housekeeping just picked up towels and replaced towels only. Heard housekeepers complaining in the hall as we were on our way out to the pool. Manager on duty has no clue about customer service. Had to call to request that they vacuum the floor. The washer didn't work. They gave my money back but didn't follow up to put "out of service"sign on door. Had to call the desk to ask specifically for what is normally provided at hotels. Will never be back!

It was not thoroughly cleaned. We stayed here a year ago and was highly impressed. This time not so much. For $105 + tax per night, you would expect it to be cleaner. The staff however was AWESOME! Thank you to the guest check in and out staff they were friendly and quick, and to the two ladies that were serving breakfast. They were the nicest ladies to be greeted by first thing in the morning!

This hotel was perfectly adequate to sleep in. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are several just a short walk away. Although there is a breakfast served here I would recommend skipping it. There are few options and and I didn't find anything that tasted good. I stayed on the third floor and the entire floor stunk. The room was fine but the hallways were not overly pleasant. This hotel was adequate for one night, given a longer stay I think I would look elsewhere.
