Edited to add: I called this morning and asked for the manager and of course there was not one there until 9:30am-10.
Tina helped me and was very polite with me and apologized and said she was going to go ahead and process my refund for me. I then said to her “I appreciate it & was just curious as if you are not a manager, why couldn’t this man that was helping me when I was there, not do this for me”? She told me she has no idea why he didn’t do it. Oh, I know… because he was as rude & his customer service sucks! So at this point, Tina is supposed to process the full refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!
After a long, hot day at Blue Bayou Waterpark, we check in and get in our room. The room has this muggy smell. I go into the bathroom to take a shower and there is spiders in the bathtub. I come out and sit on the bed to find a COCKROACH in the middle of the two beds. Surely, if you find one. There is probably more. The walls had these nasty like foot and hand dirt stains right next to the bed. As I am sitting on the bed, I pull the covers back & there is long BLACK hairs in the bed and stains on the sheets. I then go to get a drink of my water bottle that is on the nightstand and I go to pick it up and notice a freaking FINGER NAIL on the nightstand.
I call the front desk to get a refund since I booked directly through them and they would only offer me a $50 refund when I spent $135 to stay in this nasty room.

One of the worst customer service experiences of my life! Incompetent staff that was unfriendly and always Skyping with friends every single time I went to front desk, AC was broken on first night, rooms were thilthy, stained sheets, laundry room was broke and took my money and they were unable to repair, They charged my personal card instead of my company’s, staff smelled of marijuana, pool was filled with loud people partying into the night and staff was to LAZY to stop it. I will never stay at another Wyndham — Hilton hotels are same price with much better service.

Bed linens not in great shape and bed a bit hard and uncomfortable but the suite is big and clean. The hotel is in a great location to just about everything we wanted and the inner park and pool are great.

The air conditioner doesn’t work. Ventilation of the place,. Not happy at all.

Housekeepers were very polite and front desk handled all situations promptly when called. Appreciate the stay and look for to returning.

The breakfast was amazing! The room was super nice. They have cute, good smelling soaps for the shower, a comfy bed, and a balcony. From what I experienced, the service was nice too! I called the front desk with a question and they answered it very quickly and we're very nice.

Nice hotel. Smoke free. Good size rooms. Above avarage breakfast. The grounds are well-kept and pool was clean. Carpets has some spots but overall nice clean room. Has a balcony and a sliding door that won't open. There are parking issues here because there appears to be too few. People park along the curb making it very difficult to get out sometimes. Employees or nice and courteous. Good experience.

We bought two rooms. We had four guests in one and three in the other. Each room only had two towels and we needed those for the pool. So many people in that small pool to enjoy it. For as big as that courtyards is the pool should be four times that size. At breakfast there were no plates, forks or spoons. There were just eggs and cold toast and we got there early. I ate my eggs out of a coffee cup. I was very disappointed. I brought my kids for a birthday getaway.

This place REALLY went down hill in the last two years since I've visited. The hallways were DIRTY and the elevator smelled like urine. The food was gross in the breakfast hall. The walls were so thin our neighbors (upstairs and next door) were yelling loudly and just stomping for no reason. We heard people and children yelling more than our television. The door to the outside was unlocked. Crackheads were lingering in the hallways outside. The quality of the guests here have really declined. I might as well have been at the extended stay. The only reason I give this two stars is because the actual room was clean. However, I'll be spending a little extra to stay somewhere cleaner and quieter next time I visit Louisiana.

Great value and great place. Good full breakfast served. Rooms were spacious and clean with a separate door for the room. Hotel is located right off the highway and close to shopping and food.

Super clean rooms. Friendly outgoing professional staff. Would recommend to others. Will definitely stay again when I return.

Wonderful amenities… Pillows were luxurious. Enjoyed the kid friendly swimming pool. Beds were extra comfortable and clean… The breakfast was great. Worth the money.

It was a nice room. However, the air conditioner made a loud bang when it came on and it was hard to sleep. Also the pool was dirty and maintenance was being done during prime time swimming. Also they ran out of certain foods during breakfast. Also some of the staff was rude.

We stayed here for one night and it was nice. Staff was friendly and rooms were decent a few flaws but none that were inconvenient for us. The pancakes were some of the best pancakes I’ve had. Only disappointment was I was told there would be grits and bacon at breakfast but none was served. I don’t eat eggs or sausage so I was a little disappointed but overall a nice stay. I’d stay here again when I’m in Baton Rouge.

Friendly staff. Clean. Nice room size and amenities. Good value. My only complaint was breakfast. We went down at 7:30, and they were out of everything from milk to sausage.

Would be 5 star but linens although clean were very tired. We appreciated our stay. Tess at check-in was so patient and helpful as we tried to stay ahead of Alberto.

I would give it more like 3.5 stars. But wasn't offered. It is not luxury. For the price, it deserves the 4 star. The suite layout is comfortable. Room is clean, sheets are crisp and clean. Mattress is hard, but you sleep well. Bathroom could use a rehaul, small. Sink is in bedroom, but, once again, it works. The people are nice and helpful. A shoutout to the two ladies in charge of breakfast. Excellent and so nice. Its our second time and will go back.

Great staff who go above and beyond to help you. The staff is all crosstrained and can run the front desk or run the small cafe up front. The interior and rooms are nice and clean.

This our “go to” place in Baton Rouge. Rooms are spacious, gardens are well kept, desk staff is friendly. It’s always clean and issues are resolved easily. Breakfast is good and there is a bar on site. Draw backs are there is only one ice machine for the entire complex, staff frequently ignore do not disturb signs, and breakfast staff is often loud in the prep room outside the breakfast room. But by far, none of the negatives are worth not staying here. I recommend.

This place a really nice, there was great service, the rooms were clean, and they had a good refrigerator and microwave. But there were some negatives too such as the parking. There wasn't enough parking for everyone so you had to park at the gas station or somewhere close and the breakfast menu was pretty bad all they had was eggs and sassage and some bread, cereal. But no waffles. I have to have waffles but that's why I gave this place a 4 star. Also the pool is very nice but the eveleator is very slow.

Our room was nice, but it sounded like we were sleeping under the interstate! We got no sleep, and when we told the people at the front desk they said they were not aware. I cannot believe they did not know how awful that room was. I would never stay there again!

Was not upscale in any way. Needs updating. We had to change rooms because it heater was broke. The maintenance worker was very polite and conscientious. The desk also very sweet. The breakfast was as good as others that offer the eggs, cereal, coffee, etc.

Excellent rooms, beautiful courtyard surrounding the pool, and very clean. Definitely love the space for business to be conducted in rooms. I hit the gym in the morning and felt great! The tub was a little small but overlooked. Best bang for your buck.

Good breakfast. I didn't sleep well for some reason, and the shower curtain was too short and allowed water to get everywhere. The rooms were clean.

After trying several hotels in the area, we were able to get an awesome rate! When we arrived we were able to get checked in, in under 10 minutes! The staff was friendly and facilities clean! Special thanks to Maya and Darian for making our Veteran's Day Weekend memorable! Then next time we're traveling or visiting Baton Rouge, we will be staying at the Wyndham!

I was extremely pleased with the cleanliness of both the facility and the rooms. The garden area was peaceful and well maintained. Service from the staff was friendly. My only grievance would be that the location was a little hidden from passerbys. Maybe the angle it sits on the highway or lack of road signage. Overall it was an excellent stay and experience.

Room was clean and had no complaints with room. Breakfast was terrible! Breakfast staff was rude! Half of the food choices were gone and there was no attempt at restocking them. They were out of any drink except water and we were told once they ran out of an item that was it! No clean plates available to eat off of. Had to ask breakfast staff twice for plates and they acted as if they were mad we asked. All this was at 7:45am. I might expect this towards the end of breakfast hours but not in the middle.

Update 8/24/17: Dropped from 5 stars to 2. Called for an early check in was told they have a full house, check in is 3PM before she even had time to look. Asked if my being a Diamond member helped was told "not really" but finally checked my reservation and I was told to call back after noon. Didn't check for early check outs. Didn't care about diamond rewards membership (I spend several months staying with this chain each year). AND it must have been an exceptionally busy night just after I checked for availability last night at 11PM? When there was plenty? Which is why I decided to just delay and check in early this morning instead… You can read my other review below and see that I'm now quite disappointed with this hotel, and specifically with the clerk for immediately replying full house without even checking. As well as no interest in checking. "Could you just check please? " "We have a full house, you'll just have to come in at 3" "Does my being Diamond member help? " "No not really… but what's your reservation? " Even if they did just happen to get extra busy after 11PM when I checked, there's also possibility of early checkouts. But anyway, I'm arriving in Baton Rouge around 11AM and I have to just go sit somewhere… possibly till 3 PM. … OLD REVIEW… By far the best I've stayed in yet… and that from someone who's stayed at Wyndham properties 160+ days (4 mos) in the past year.

We arrived and couldn't check in because their system was down. We had some where to be at a certain time and they were not accommodating at all. The manager was not friendly at all. She could only say sorry. Finally after 45mins waiting they decide to put us in a room, the room was nice at first glance but we had a refrigerator that didn't work. The sliding door in middle of room was broken. AC didn't work that well either.

Extremely pleased. Staff helpful and friendly. Grounds and room clean to perfection. Buffet breakfast with several choices, cooked well. I am fussy but marked this place to return to. I didn't get to swim in pool but its location is great. I give very few 5s but this wyndham wins my vote!

Friendly and helpful staff. Great location near the mall. The room had a separate living room and bedroom, both with their own TV. Bed was firm but comfortable. All the rooms open out into the center courtyard that contained a nice sized pool. The included breakfast was actually surprisingly great, best hotel breakfast I've ever had.

The room was a king suite. I was informed all the rooms are suites. The pool was nice and clean, so is the pool area. Even though the doors did not open into a hallway it was still a very secure Hotel. The breakfast was very nice and hot and the workers were very accommodating. I did not visit the bar or the gym. I experienced a fall on my way in due to the sidewalk being uneven and settling. I did not get an offer of assistance. An accident report was provided when requested and the manager was on duty the next morning to walk me through the steps of what I should expect next. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

I have NO complaints about this hotel. Check-in was a breeze. The staff were very friendly. Our room was great! It was clean. Furniture was up-to-date. Smelled fresh. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was ok. The night view of the pool and courtyard was beautiful. Heads up. You will be charged $50 for an incident fee at check-in but it will drop off within 3-5 business days. Will return!

The room was clean and spacious. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. The centralized outdoor pool was also a great added feature.

This hotel was perfect for our needs. It housed 3 adults, a teen, and a toddler comfortably. It was very clean. It wasn't super spacious but comfy. The free breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had!

I have never seen internet this slow. I work off my computer and there was no possible way to work on this Wi-Fi. It clocked in at. 55Mbps download speed. Although the room was very nice and clean. Good furniture.

I stayed here for two nights when I went to town for a friend's graduation at LSU. The room was a surprisingly large suite. The bathroom was huge, too. However, the room was very run-down and dated looking. Housekeeping did a sloppy job of refreshing the room, as well. They picked up our used towels without providing any new ones, and they didn't provide any extra soaps/shampoos after the first night, going against the norm in most hotels I've stayed at. The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of town near the Mall of Louisiana and Perkins Rowe. Parking is free, but is not always convenient, depending on how busy they are. A facelift and deep cleaning would definitely make this place great, but until then, I really couldn't recommend it.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The complimentary breakfast was just okay but the staff working it were friendly and efficient. The showers had good pressure.

Charged 95$ when the internet quote was 75$. We told the guy and he said must just be an internet price.

Loud guest running around till 0100. No extra pillows for the pull out sleeper, called the front desk who said they'd bring them up… never did. Continental breakfast had no coffee… yes, no coffee. When you pay for a hotel you hope to get a good night's rest and a good breakfast, our family got neither. The facility was nice and was centrally located to lots of things in the area. That's the positive.

Overall a very nice experience. Seems a little weird that there's only one entrance/exit from the road into the hotel. The breakfast was also a little disappointing, we didn't even eat it the second day. I would stay here again, though.

Everything here was great! It was basically a small apartment. Two tv's, two beds, a fridge and microwave. Very comfortable stay.

They don't advertise that they are actually a motel and not a hotel. There is a balcony, but without chairs. They make it look like it is a normal Wyndham, but it is definitely a motel not a hotel.

Do not stay here. Trust me. Pay the extra. No parking, loud people stomping till 3 a. M. Don't believe the pictures… staff are very nice. For a reason. This place is a shithole. Don't come her.

If you get a room through a 3rd party, they will not give you breakfast. How sad is that?

This is one of the nicest hotels in Baton Rouge. The entire staff really works hard to make sure their guests all receives the VIP treatment by being professional, welcoming, and friendly. The rooms are extra large with a spacious living room with sofa, well cleaned, comfortable beds, roomy tubs, great showers, large closet and storage for clothes. The balcony is an extra bonus. Breakfast is a hot meal of freshly made pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage, cereal, and toast etc. Served with a smile. All of this at an excellent price. It can't be beat, it's a perfect place for a special romantic getaway, a quiet business trip, or a fun ballgame trip. Easy access to main roads for attractions, the giant Mall of Louisiana and restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back to stay again. Thanks for making our extended stay a pleasant experience.

My wife and myself decided we would try something other than the holiday inn or a best western. Ive never paid this much for a bonified crack hotel. The room is like a spiced up motel 6 with mirrors. The wet bar was not stocked. The television had pretty much just basic channels. Could not find the whirlpool and the quality of the other guest was well questionable. After getting the room was informed that to smoke a cigarette I would have to go out of the gated area into the parking lot. Right out in the front. I will never stay in another wyndham as long as I can avoid it. For the price hioliday inn is a better choice.

Service was very poor when I walked into the lobby I booked a room for two adults and they could only give me a single bed Ive never paid 150 for a hotel that was not indoors. So I gave them my card for a deposit then I got in my rrom and it smelt like milk and mildew I just drove 12 hrs so I wanted to take a shower the room telephone rang so it was the office they failed to get my address off my ID and phone number (not my fault) so I took my shower and someone was banging on my door it was the hotel man and a lady I answered my door and she said I need to come down with my ID so I said I just steped out the shower.
