I was just giving a friend a ride back to his room at this hotel. My first impression of the hotel wasn't a particularly good one. The outside of the hotel/rooms wasn't exactly visually appealing. Although my friend said that he thought the room he was staying in was actually nicer than he thought it was originally going to be.

Room was very dirty. Comforter had stains and burn holes. Carpet was nasty and shower drain didn't want to go down.

The room was not cleaned well there was trash and cobwebs behind the night stands and cobwebs all around the room and bathroom, the lamps were broken and hanging off the walls, the shower had mold in several places and the bedding had cigarette burns on it and the sheets would not stay on the bed. When we went to breakfast there was nothing but cereal and coffee. The shower had NO pressure and would go from hot to cold. Was not a horrible place just needs cleaning staff that takes pride in there work.

Rolled in at 1030pm, they had no towels. Not just in our room, but in the whole hotel! Pillows the worst ever, no thermostat in room, vent leaked water onto carpet and was freezing. But was no way I was using top cover on bed, disgusting and I am a male. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra $20… Do not stay here.

Nice motel for the price. The carpet seemed dirty, and the blankets had cigarette burns in them (we specifically asked for a smoking room, so this isn't a big deal). A/C worked wonders, shower was excellent. Employees were friendly, and it's right across the street from several restaurants and stores. The free breakfast consisted of Two styles of cereal, room temperature milk, strange miniature muffins with a taste we couldn't place, and an assortment of half-stale pastries. But for the price you shouldn't expect too much My only major complaint is the fact that during our two night stay, I received 9 bites from a mystery bug. Now, I want to be very clear these are NOT bed bugs bites. We tore the bed apart twice, as well as took the headboard off the wall, and found no evidence of any bed bugs. We believe the bites are from a spider but are not positive. All in all I am pleased with our stay, and would definitely consider staying here again.

They were horrible rude people as well as the room had bed bugs in them. A lady that was senior showed me pictures of them also is it rings that were horrible it look like this sheets had not been changed ever and it even has wet spots and stains on the sheets I would never recommend anyone going to this place it is disgusting as well as the attitude of the employees.

Needed help at front desk and he was helpful. They have a drive through check in which I think is a cool idea for the outside entrance style facilities.

We arrived late at night and were received with a friendly attendant and good price. I prefer to focus on the positives so for those looking for negatives the only negatives I could say are the comforter had burn holes and sewer gas from the bathroom. We were in a non smoking room and there was no smoke smell. I am diligent about checking for bugs and there were no bugs of any kind. AC worked well, had hot water, bed was comfortable, cable and Wi-Fi had zero problems. Has a limited continental breakfast as one would expect. Quiet and safe. Stayed here again enroute from our travelling. Not near as pleased. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Shower was clean and had hot water with good pressure. No coffee pot in rooms and this room had a less than satisfactory AC which was extremely loud at times. Continental breakfast was lame — not even fruit. A good cheap place to sleep and shower for one night. You won't find a Bible in your room.

The room was absolutely disgusting! Burn holes in every blanket. Didn't dare walk without shoes on. Free breakfast was a joke. Only redeeming quality was the water pressure in the shower.

Horrible mean staff. Rooms cleaned once a week. Went 4 days without bath towels. They came got dirty ones never gave new ones. Called office about it every day. They didnt care. Dont ever go. Paid over 400 a week. Not worth a 1.00

Bed is comfortable but quite a few burn holes in comforter. Shower was extremely small.

It's cheap but it's cheap for a reason. I ordered a non smoker room and yet the room smells of cigarette smoke, the shower was grimey as hell, when I lifted the sheets there were other people's public hair on the bed. Called reception and I was told house keeping was gone for the day. Slept on top of the sheets. Also doesn't help that I spotted roaches moving throughout the room. The place attracts a bad crowd too. Pay a little extra and stay somewhere nicer.

Room was clean for the most part given the condition of the building. It would also be a plus if they would extend the hours of the outside pool. Only open 11am-8pm. Staff was friendly. Overall, not the best, but with the cost for one night, definitely not the worst.

Filthy beds, smelly room, no shampoo, no hair dryer… power went out as I'm typing this. Beds obviously slept in already. Bring your own sheets, or just skip all together.

Very rude and unpleasant Indian manager/owner? … I wanted to check room first, he had my driving license but wanted me to pay first. Not how I do things!

This place is Absolutely disgusting. On our last day there I looked behind the dresser and saw dead roaches and a syringe. Told the front desk and she acted like she didn't care. Worst place I have ever stayed at and will never be back.

I review a lot of hotels, and this is only the 2nd 1-star rating I have ever given. They cancelled my reservation for no reason only to rebook me at a higher rate. I should have found someplace else to stay. Property needs to renovated. Room was small with window air conditioner that barely worked. A lot of shady people hang around here. I would never stay here again.

This is a bad place to stay the owner is mean and they are rude just because I put a do not disturb on my door because I work nights so I didn't want them in there so I could sleep they kicked me out and would not let me rent a room I would not stay there they do not know how to run a business.

I've stayed here serveral times and never had any complaints, staff has always been very nice. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable.

This place is like ur worst nightmare, when we checked in they acted like this was gonna b a descent and professional atmosphere, we opened the fridge to put our drinks n there and there was literally live mold growing indicated it has not been wiped down for a very long time, went n bathroom to take shower the sink had rubber bands laying all over it that someone had taken out there hair it was the dirtiest sink I've ever seen for a room that was supposed to just b clean, bathroom floor had shoe prints on it from someone muddy shoes, my husband pulled back blankets to lay down and found a knife a bottle of lotion and a beef jerky bar laying on bed under covers, covers smelled like idk what maybe like they just pull them back up and remake beds after guests leave instead of washing them? Dresser was so gross and full of crud didn't even wanna unpack anything, instead of giving us our money back so we can go somewhere else they move us to another room, this room looked like whoever was staying in it just left and room was never cleaned heat didn't work and blankets smelled like mold this hotel should literally be charging 5$ a night it's the lowest of the lowest that I've ever seen my entire life and I'm almost 40 please shut this place down before someone catches something by just staying there. There is really no rating for this place u might as well be living in a box on side of the road before staying here.

Yes, the place could be cleaner and updated but it’s livale with great cable and the staff is phenomenal and for the price it’s better than most places. I’ve had a more pleasant experience with this staff than at the Hampton. I’ve stayed here about 6 times and will keep coming back.

Went here with my boyfriend and our lady friend to go to lost lands in Ohio for 2017 for the first one ever. Front desk girl was completely rude to my boyfriend for no reason all because he came down at like 12 or something to ask a simple question. There was roach tha we saw once or twice crawl through room, but didn't see it after that. But other then that the pricing was pretty good and not too expensive. Just needs improvement with some staff and actually doing what they should be instead of complaining to customers that they don't want to be there.

I give this a 1 star, the only thing keeps me from giving a zero is that the ppl running this place is nice. I Checked in and came to room. The room was filthy and tore up; floor not swept, TV Stand had dirt on it (really dirt), bathroom floor dirty, hair all over inside of shower, dirty plastic cup under TV stand, thermostat cover missin (can't tell what temperature it's on), cigarette burn in bed sheets and pillow case. So I went to front desk and asked for different room, they said they would send house keeper so we went to dinner. Came back from dinner and the only thing that happened was the floor was swept half ass. So I said hell with it and stayed anyways because everywhere else was sold out. The next morning woke up and went to get free breakfast and they don't have free breakfast. On my way back to room I was looking around the "pool" area and it's dirty also, garbage laying around everywhere. I wouldn't pay $25 a night to stay here.

It's a very quiet place the staff is helpful I enjoyed my stay there.

For $64.00 dollars I got a carpet that I would NOT step on barefoot, crud and dust in the corners, on the shades, on the window seals, the vents, behind bed table and Tv table. I also got a lumpy bed and flat pillows. There is no coffee in rooms and none available after breakfast hours. Due to the crud in the room, I chose nor to eat at the free breakfast.

Stayed here 5 days and had a great stay. It was quiet clean and very nice host and staff. Walking distance to walmart, cinema, other plazas. Hibotchis in the back. Will be back. Thanks.

Clean, freindly front desk staff. The room was surprisngly clean. Hotels like this you would expect not to be on par in some areas but I was pleasantly surprised. Would stay here again.

Overpriced outdated and dirty go next door to the motel 6 it's much nicer and cheaper.

The lock on our door needed repairs, the room was FAR from clean however no bed bugs but did find a small roach the day of check out. The sheets in our non smoking room had cigarette burns. The pillows and bed were horribly uncomfortable. The staff was friendly and they DO have a security guard at night. However I could hardly sleep with all of the car alarms going off through the night (Ours went off at 4am) We slept with our furniture in front of the door and felt very very unsafe. Would not recommend even for the price. Paying a little more for another hotel is so worth it to feel like you will not be attacked in your sleep. We were two 20 year old women staying in a room. We would never go back.

TRAVELLERS BEWARE! This is where heroin addicts go to die. Avoid this place like the plague. This is a crack and prostitute hotel. If you are lucky you will only be robbed and assaulted but not murdered.

Nasty with bedbugs and roaches. I highly do not recommend this foreign run motel. It's a drug and bug stay. You choose. A fugitive child molester was staying there and the Marshalls arrested him the day I left. Bad place to stay.

Check in and check out was super easy and quick with the drive thru window. Very affordable price for an overnight stay. Free breakfast was small and had little option but I guess you get what you pay for.

The Worst motel I have visited in my life. Very dirty! The bed sheets are old and torn. I asked for non smoking room, but the room smells nothing but smokes. The Trashes are infront of the stairs. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I wish there was negative stars.

Curteous staff clean rooms but a bit run down.

The parking lot is sketchy at best. We felt uncomfortable when we drove in late at night. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, so all went well. There is no breakfast, but it was cheap. The people at the front desk were very nice.

Great place to stay! The owners are kind and care about you and your needs. Clean, SAFE (they have cameras and security guards/cameras), comfortable, very affordable, reasonable rates. I highly recommend Rodeway Inn! And if the owners are reading this… Thank you once again for everything!

Even though it isnt located in the best area, I feel safe staying here with my family of 5. They have a night security guard. The rooms are clean. No bed bugs. Low weekly rates. Great management. Clean pool. I highly recommend it to anyone on a budget.

Horrible experience. Left my glasses they threw them away before I had a chance to come back. (4 hours after checkput) they double charged my room plus $100 more. Could be a scam I dont know but overall horrible time.

You would think with reports of 1, 2 and 3 years running that the city of Columbus would have shut this disgusting place down! The place seems to be cleaner than it used to be. Haven't found any bug remains. They now give a nice bar of soap for the shower. It's still pretty much a dump. If I weren't required to stay here for work…

Dirty and very loud… the breakfast was a joke… homeless people live there while in transition… not safe for travelers looking to stay one night.

I personally know the guy that works at night there hes very very nice! He will go out the way to make sure you have all you need and more!

O. K. For the money. Staff friendly. Breakfast could be better. Needs to upgrade linen and pillows. No pool.

The rooms are pretty cozy & very clean. The customer service was excellent. The location is prime, as well. The rates are reasonable & the processes to check in or out are completely hassle-free. Also they allow pets as guest for an additional $5 fee per night. My cat & I enjoyed 12 days & 11 peaceful nights. I consider it a great place for the rate required. I will definitely be a guest there again — — very nice & accommodating staff!

Flapper on toilet doesn't work, had to open tank each time, furniture is shoddy and saw a cockroach.

If I could avoid staying here, I would. Someone else made the reservation.

Great place to stay for a low price. Much better than I had anticipated. Stayed for a week while moving and had no problems at all. Fairly quiet area, trees block most road noise. Super nice checkin woman, owners are onsite and nice people. Room was clean, air worked fine, pool was wonderful on a few hot days. Staff is friendly and ready to help of needed, but not bothersome like some hotels. Overall a bargain price for a nice place. We would absolutely stay here again.

The place needs work. The room I stayed in the air conditioning was busted. That being said the family that seems to own the place seemed nice. I hope they get the hotel a little more fixed up in the future.

The general manager has no respect for the customers or patrons. I want to start this post off by saying when we came to the area we had every intention of booking with this hotel however they did not offer semi truck access so we booked with the hotel across the street. The hotel across the street did not have a washer and dryer however the roadway inn did. The employee stated that as long as nobody was washing clothes for drying clothes we could use their machines. We have done this about five months in a row flawlessly. I stopped asking and never had an issue. However on May 29 2016 this manager comes barging in the laundry mat in a very aggressive and demeaning way asking if I had a room there. As I was trying to explain to him I had received permission in the past he mocked at me " well I'm telling you now" as he flexed his muscles as if he was taunting me. Again I'm still in shock at this time how this escalated to such a level so quick. I can understand if this was a rookie and you do some retraining and he learns his lesson. This was the general manager. The example. The issue was multiplied because there were other guests outside watching his tirade. His disrespect, blatant disregard of professionalism, cander during the incident, and look of accomplishment at the end of the altercation tells me this is probably not just an incident. It looked and sounded rehearsed as candid as it was. I think with even a reprimand he will do this again.

TERRIBLE! RUDE! DISCRIMINATORY! Horrible customer service! Last night, I was with some friends at a local Bowling Alley and we came across an older lady that was evidently homeless AND deaf, who had literally been sleeping at a table for at least 3 hours. Aside from writing on paper back and forth, I knew a little bit of sign language and was able figure out that she desperately needed a place to sleep that night. (she was literally falling asleep while writing and had to be woken back up every minute). She asked to be taken here, the Rodeway Inn and only had $30 on her. So, myself and a very kind young server from the Bowling Alley combined enough funds to get her a room. I drove her to this location at 1am (every homeless shelter is closed) and walked up to the counter to pay for a room for this lady to stay for one night. The young man at the counter said " We don't accept cash". Are you kidding me. So, I decided to place it on my debit card. He then said he needed to see her ID…? She filled out a paper with all of the pertinent information and answered every question the young man from this hotel asked of her. She was then able to find her ID and gave it to the young man. After offering to pay for it in cash and then by card to reserve the room in my own name, the young man behind the counter says: "I don't feel comfortable with this… she cannot stay here tonight.

The non-smoking room had obviously Ben smoked in, or was a last resort and I would not stay there again.

Horrible. The rooms are often not clean. Even the non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. I've been here a few times because it's super affordable but the heat barely worked. There are always shady/creepy people around. There was a guy that asked my boyfriend if he wanted to purchase drugs. There we're (what I'm assuming to be obviously) used needles on the ground. The pillowcases and sheets we're filthy. Blood spots on one of the mirrors. Some of the sinks are clogged. Tiny televisions… even for a motel this is absolutely unacceptable. Definitely not recommended. Especially if you have children or a family. Run far and fast!

Some sheets/pillow cases missing from beds Charge for Wi-Fi. 19" TV. At least it was color. They seem to have a problem with locals partying there. Lots of signs around saying not to. The bathroom was nice, though. The desk help was ok.

This room was absolutely disgusting! Stains and burn holes all in the blankets and pillows cases. Dirty floor, bathtub, sink, curtain looked like it had never been washed, carpet separating from the padding, fridge was dirty and frozen up, floor unvacuumed, stains on lampshades and walls, Mattress was disgusting, to walk on the floor barefoot was a no-no I quickly put my shoes back on, towels and washcloths was staind badly, TV was rediculious, dressers and table was dirty, and I could continue to go on and on about the disgust of the room. The guy at the front desk did move us to another room that was some what cleaner, with working appliances. TV still looked like they got it out of someone's trash. And the lack of having the king size bed we paid for, to go to two full size beds with 3 pillows that went flat almost as soon as you put your head on it. I promise I will not come here again nor will I recommend anyone stay there. Wish I had read the reviews before I booked the room!

It was the worst hotel I've ever been to. We found pills, crack pipes, and all kinds of drugs in the hotel room. We packed up and left and they didn't reimburse the room. Stay far, far away from this hotel. It's not worth it.

Very disappointed in this motel 6 as a truck driver we look for reasonable places too stay while on the road. I made a reservation for a room cause a/c in my truck went out I get here late in afternoon and check in too my room and it's around 80 degrees In my room so I turn on the a/c and sit on the bed 2 hrs later it's still 80 degrees in my room. I then proceed too take a shower and to my surprise the shower dose not work just dribbling out now that I'm upset I call down too the front desk and tell them my disappointment and they were aware the rooms a/c did not work and the conditions of the room but they did not say anything when the reservation were made needless too say I will just sleep outside then paying this motel 60.00 dollars a night too sit in this hot box again. The staff did not seem to care about any conditions of room or a/c just piss poor way to do business.

I was on my way from eastern Pennsylvania to eastern Missouri, and I needed to spend the night to break up a long 13 hour, 830 mile drive, so I went to the motel that I love to stay at, and it provided what I needed: a clean comfortable bed and a good shower. I always recommend Motel 6 where they "kept the light on" for me. Thanks.

A dump! a nightmare! rude and unprofessional staff! … 1. The First room that they provided me — was not cleaned. I Lugged all my luggage up to this room and then had to go back to the lobby to tell them. 2. They switched my room where the A/C did not blow cool. I had to complain to them about that. Then mysteriously. It started working fine. 3. In the room. The TV did not have all the cable channels — so I had to get them to fix that! 4. A couple days later… the toilet broke… it was a flood in my bathroom… so they switched me to another room. No apology, no sorry, no nothing… 5. Rain storm and parking lot got flooded with 3 feet of water. It was a pond in their parking lot. Due to poor irrigation system… no warning. No call — such as "Guest — you should move your car because the parking lot is getting flooded… 6. The water from the Flood got inside my car… there was a foot of water inside my car. I took a bucket and scooped all the water out of my car. My Car now smells like mildew, and is severely damaged. Once again. No apology. No we're sorry about that… 7. Final Straw… the RUDE FRONT DESK PERSON CALLS ME AT 3:30 AM AND WAKES ME UP, BECAUSE I forgot to put their cheesey. Parking paper… on my front dash of my vehicle. Now my car was there since 7 PM that day. I forgot to put that stupid sign back on my car… They knew who I was. Because they took down my license plate number down. And he called my room to rudely wake me up!.

I called 2 days ahead of time to reserve a room, at which time I was actually asked point blank if I preferred smoking or nonsmoking. Let me be clear — This option was offered to me unprompted by the staff of the motel AS PART OF MY RESERVATION PROCESS. I didn't even have to bring it up and ask for it. It was offered to me. I therefore requested a smoking room to be reserved for my stay. However, apparently, no one has explained the nature of a RESERVATION to the staff. When I arrived on the first evening of my RESERVATION, I was given a NON-smoking room and was told that smoking rooms were "first come, first serve, " at which point I then tried to explain that I had called ahead of time and made a R-E-S-E-R-V-A-T-I-O-N, meaning that I was the one who had "first come" before anyone else. This got me nowhere with the INSUFFERABLY RUDE staff. So instead of arguing with her, we took the cramped, miserable room anyway because it was late and we were tired. Perhaps someone should explain to the staff of the Motel 6 that a reservation is only a reservation if you actually HOLD THE RESERVATION, meaning the room is RESERVED for the "first come" customer who actually troubled themselves to make a RESERVATION before hand, thus RESERVING the right to the room of their choice, having "first come" by calling to make a REEEESERRRRVAAAYSHEEEEUN. Get it, Motel 6? Beyond this particular issue, the other HUGE problem was the air conditioning, which was nonexistent.

First off, let me point out that I didn't select this hotel to stay in but instead was placed here by my company while on a layover. The staff was relatively friendly upon my check-in. This is the most positive thing I can say about this location. I immediately noticed the pool seemed to be permanently closed. I'm here on business so this was not a deal-breaker. I requested a non-smoking room and the room reeked of poorly-cleaned smoke. I'm unsure if this was from a previous smoker or if it was seeping in from an adjoining room. The location seems to offer an extended stay option and there were a few families who live here. There were children riding bicycles around the property. This didn't bother me as I'm a mother, myself. What bothered me were the used condoms discarded on the ground on the side of the property where my room was located. This was unacceptable to me. The noise issues tended to come and go. I was not appreciative of being woke at 2a as people were returning, very loudly to their rooms but this could happen at any location. The bed was of very poor condition. The springs in the mattress were severely worn and I had to fold the comforter upon itself to make a mattress pad to place on top of the bed. The room does not have a tub but instead has a walk-in shower. While working on a project at the table, I heard the shower begin to pour water, spilling out of the basin onto the floor.

It was very relaxing, clean room, friendly staff and pet friendly so I could bring along my pups. I will definitely use this for a much needed "Take a break from it all mini-vacation".

Only upside was that the staff was really friendly. The non-smoking room smelled like smoke. Room did not seem very clean. There were stains on the blankets and stray hairs on some towels. Found a used foil wrapper of sorts behind the mattress when going to plug in my phone beside the bed. Not a very quiet spot since the highway is so close and cars can park right outside your door. Woke up during the night when people passed by or started their cars. Paid about $40 for the night, and didn't feel really worth the savings. I've stayed in Motel 6s before and haven't had a problem. This one just needs an update and some better care.

Asked for non smoking but the room smelled of smoke. Carpet had something spilled on it and hadn't been swept. My daughter's bed had blood stains on the bedspread. Mattress very old and uncomfortable. If we weren't so tired I would have asked for my money back. No free Wi-Fi. Staff lady was very nice. Cops patrol all night so wasn't real comfortable. Slept 5 hours if that then was on our way. Bathroom was the cleanest part of the room. For the $65 fee wasn't worth it. First and last time at a Motel 6. Should have stayed at the Red Roof in Grove City.

The staff is very friendly! This is the first time we were contacted after check in by any motel, to see if everything was OK and if we needed anything. Good basic room for the price. We didn't care there was no 'free breakfast' because of all the places to eat in the area (Tim Horton's, Cracker Barrel, Etc. ) And Clean Towels left after the bed was made up! Loved the Shower! Was difficult finding the access road, everything else built up around it; but for being close to the highway, shopping mall and play center, the room was quiet! Didn't hear any noise at night. Definitely will stay here next time we come out to visit.

Stayed there on my way to the west coast. Woke up 2 hours after I went to sleep to a bed full of bed bugs, yes bed bugs, and I have the pictures to prove it. Went to the hospital because I had an alergic reaction, after I came back to talk to the mgr Mr Patel (go figure) he hid in the back and didn't want to talk to me. I I told the useless lady at front desk that if my insurance covered the hospital I wasn't going to make a big deal of it, she refused to go look at the room with me even though I showed her the phone with the pictures and videos and my face was super swollen. All I asked for was to refund my credit card since I didn't even spent the night. She (not the mgr) called me a week later and said they would refund half of the money and they determined the room wasn't infested so, to my knowledge they haven't done anything to either get rid of them or prevent them. Yeah is cheap but like they say you get what you pay for. Save yourself some trouble with this dirty hotel and stay somewhere else. I just live too far from there to follow up with this nasty people so I hope this review serves its purpose and steer customers that are looking for a Decent clean hotel away from this craphole.

The manager at this location has absolutely no compassion for people. My wife and 7 kids were stranded there in Columbus, OH after our van broke down. We had been paying for a room on a day to day basis from Monday — Wednesday. When Thursday came around the manager refused to give us the room. The reason given? We exceeded the occupancy limits for the room. Now, I can understand this to a point but, we are talking about 7 young kids from the ages of 2 — 12 and one adult. In my opinion and others I have talked to there should be some understanding in this situation. This is not an every day situation and had our van not broken down she would not even be there in the first place. Even after we offered to get two rooms next to one another the manager refused to accommodate us. The manager was so cowardly that they would not even speak to my wife, stating that they did not want to hear anything about it and just wanted her to leave at check out. What happened to human decency, compassion, understanding, and the helping hand when someone is in trouble? There are other hotels in the vicinity to go to so that you can avoid being treated in such a manner as we were. I am sure they have done it in the past and I am certain they will do it in the future. No one deserves to be treated in this manner no matter the circumstances or the policy discretion.
