No hot water for a shower. The towels are brown and had pubic hair stuck in them. But I did clean the air filter in the ac unit so the next person should have cleaner air and hopefully less of a funk smell. Front desk staff was friendly.

Terrible security and sketchy as all get up don’t do it even for the cheap price! Got robbed at the hotel.

I’ve stayed in many hotels and this is BY FAR the worst. No toilet paper in the rooms. Took over 6 hours to get it and that’s only after the “manager” had to be called onsite. No hot water in the shower, no trash can, the door did not securely lock without slamming very hard, and while the least important of all — no functioning remote for the TV. Employees aren’t given the knowledge or ability to solve the most basic of problems. To make it worse, they told us they wouldn’t charge us for the room because of the issues, and A WEEK LATER they charged the card and upon calling refused to reverse the charges.

My reservation got cancelled by the hotel the day I was supposed to stay there. They claimed it was Hotels. Com’s fault, even tho I had called the hotel a few days before to confirm my reservation. The woman on the phone claimed she refunded my card, but I have yet to see the money back. Hotels. Com has been trying to contact them on my behalf since, but no one will talk to them.
The 402 Hotel will never get my business again, and I would recommend everyone else stay away from these thieves.

They could give me my deposit back. I’ve received assurances through email and via telephone that it was refunded and 3 months later I still haven’t received it.

I booked this hotel without looking at the reviews. My worst mistake! If I could give this a NO star I would! Yes it’s cheap in price but so is the hotel “cheap”! I could say it’s in the ghetto. Cigarette buds all over the parking lot. It had a no smoking sign inside yet it smelled like cigarette smoke. Elevator did not work. The room was awful! No toilet paper in the bathroom. The shower curtain had mold spots on it. The bathroom door was broke. The blanket on the bed had holes in it. Did I mention it smells disgusting?! Wasn’t even there for 5 minutes before canceling and getting some sort of refund. Customer service was pathetic, rude and disrespectful. Very scetchy hotel!

I paid for my room thru Hopper. The front desk woman “accidentally” charged me for the two nights at the hotel when she was only supposed to be doing a 50$ deposit hold. I was assured they had refunded me per front desk staff and it would show up in 3-5 days. 3 days later I was refunded partially. I emailed their front desk multiple times with no answer. I asked Hopper to help and they said the manager, Amanda, would refund me. That was a week and 1/2 ago. I wouldn’t trust them with your card information. I’m contacting my credit card company now.

I love that this place is laid back, and has a great atmosphere, and friendly inviting people. I'd give it a five star.

Hotel is total DUMP! Booked it. Went there. Realizes made a huge mistake booking because of the “good offer”. Lost my money but I left right away … didn’t care.

NO WORKING SMOKE DETECTOR IN OUR ROOM! Looked like the batteries had been ripped out. Couldn't go barefoot do to the carpet being so filthy. Supposedly making renovations but don't think so. If we could have afforded to go to another hotel we would have tried but doubtful for a room because of the concert. Very disappointed.

The staff is very friendly. I always feel very comfortable and relaxed when I stay.

Location, Affordability, staff is Helpful and Efficient, and the Rooms are Nice quality, for the cost!

Basically someone is committing some type of fraud. Room was paid for through Hotwire, had to charge 20$ for incidentals, but incurred a 27.50 as well that was manually entered in. Money was refunded, but 4 days later received a 47.50$ charge that was again manually entered in. Still waiting on refund. Why does this hotel still have access to this card info, and why was it not destroyed when I asked. I was told that the card was on file, although when that is done, they only have access to the last 4 digits. I will be contacting the bbb. This is ridiculous, now I have bill money that’s all screwed up because their employees either don’t know what they are doing, or are thieves.

This place was filthy! Carpet is sticky, toilet wasn’t even bolted to the bathroom floor, air in the room was real moist, the staff was on her phone the entire stay on private phone calls, the lamp in my room did not work, the people next to us were loud because the walls were like paper thin, no shower curtain, the phone in the room would not allow me to call the front desk because it did not work smh I will never stay here again or recommend anyone I know to. My experience was horrible.

Everything was very great. Love the staff, especially kind Jennifer at front desk. I will stay again on my next visit to Omaha.

This was literally the most disgusting hotel we have ever stepped foot in. We were going to leave but had our dogs with us and did not want to keep transporting them and also have to pay for another hotel so we stuck it out. The hotel in general was just run down and dirty. The photos online are very deceiving. We got into our room and instantly noticed it just had a musty smell. It looked like it had not been vacuumed and there were dead bugs in the window sill. There was h…air all over the shower wall, the toilet seat was broken and when I went to reheat my leftovers the microwave was not clean. My husband noticed a broken piece on the bottom of the mini fridge and realized it was mold. We went and talked to the front desk and he said he would call his manager. He was working all alone in the hotel and was also doing laundry so we felt bad for interrupting him. We decided to try to make the best of our night but just felt gross being there. The next guy at the desk offered us a ‘suite’ said to go look at it and we could move if we wanted. Which was a really nice gesture. But when I went down to the room it had not been cleaned from the last person. Bed was torn apart, wet towels all over the floor. I didn’t even walk all the way in. Besides that is was the same type of room we already had. We told him and he rolled his eyes as if it was supposed to be taken care of but wasn’t and apologized. This guy also said he would talk to his manager.

Terrible experience. Room was unacceptable & they refused a refund. This is NOT a family hotel!

Paid $84 on Expedia and then plus tax it was like $100 for a standard queen room and stayed for one night. Left room spotless. Found out today on my credit card there was a $200 pending transaction and a $50 pending transaction I know that the $50 pending transaction is from the deposit but I should have been getting it back by now and I didn't understand what the $200 transaction was for so I called up there talk to a lady she said I would have to wait till the morning to talk to her manager and I asked if I could reach her manager anyway she said no she can't give out her personal cell phone number which I understand, I then asked if I could speak to someone else she said "no, I'm the only one here, you'll have to wait till the morning" being very snippety with me. I'd really like to have my money back! this is ridiculous!

This is a great little place to stay! Friendly staff, great remodel look! Perfect place just on the far edge of the old market. I’ll pick this place over the big hotels in the downtown area every time!

Great little hidden secret in downtown Omaha. Hotel is completely remodeled with a modern touch. Staff at the hotel were great and very accommodating. I will refer this location to all my friends and family and will return again soon!
