Definitely not what I was expecting for what I paid for. Should be more like an $80 night hotel room. Paid for a queen suite and beds were not even close to being a queen. And A/C didn’t work. Was hot all Night and couldn’t sleep. Definitely not happy. Pictures on website are misleading. Small bathrooms, pool is very small would not recommend swimming. Definitely not going to stay here again. Will be finding a different hotel for next Mayo visit stay.

The inn smelled like Sewer gas. No wash cloths in the bathroom. Bed very lumpy. Carpet in hallway is filthy. Girl at desk when we left was sitting with her foot up in her chair looking at her phone. I asked where I could write a review and she got very defensive. Was rude to me when I ask for a receipt. When she said your welcome to me insinuating I should have said thank you. But, I was the one that gave your hotel over a hundred dollars. You should have said thank you to me.

We stayed here twice because of its convenient location, hoping that the awful state of our room the first time was a fluke. Wrong. The first room smelled “old” and had a dried, crusty white substance splattered on the nightstand………… the bathroom was constantly damp, and all the fixtures were either dusty or moldy. I scrubbed the tub out myself before allowing my child to bathe. Our second room; which happened to be right next door to the fist one we stayed in was equally disgusting. There was actually a strangers blood on the door lock. My husband got sick with a cough after both of our stays there. We thought maybe it was the dry air, but looking back I’m assuming it’s the black mold on the bathroom fixtures. We also discovered a thick layer of dust under the bed while looking for a lost toy. You would think since they are housing mostly Mayo patients, they would take the time to wipe down high touch areas but I guess that’s not a big deal. The only nice thing I can say about this hotel is the convenient location and friendly staff. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again.

Very easy walking distance to some great restaurants and close to Mayo Hospital and most of the clinics we needed to go to.

We stayed last night, the mini fridges don’t get cold, the AC sounded like a helicopter flying over. The dresser drawers had dirt, hair and who knows what else. There was other people’s trash still in the trash can, had to ask for toilet paper, and notified the front desk they had a water leak in the wall between the shower and the sink. Carpeting was wet under the sink. The bedding was old, and had small holes in it. The chair in the corner had change, and dirt under the cushions. The mattress’s were old, carpet was dirty also.

Close/attached to Mayo. Made it convenient to get to various appointments. Hotel maids were exceptional!

Our recent night at the Kahler Inn and Suites was a nightmare! Came for Mayo appointments, and our stay there actually had both of us feeling sick! Our room smelled like urine covered in chlorine. Booked through Priceline ~ with extra fees for cleaning! What a joke. Room was so humid the sheets were damp! Horrible experience ~ want to alert others to the dirty, damp, stinky conditions of this hotel. Needed to stay another night, so booked a room at the Kahler Grand and we were treated Grand! A beautiful room booked on the morning of our stay, that only cost us a few dollars more than the rip off of going through Priceline. The $89 dollar "deal" turned into over $140 for "extra cleaning", fees, taxes, and parking. Please, if you are in Rochester for your health, stay anywhere but the Kahler Inn and Suites.

What a disappointment. The room was old. There's an ipod doc alarm clock for crying out loud. The carpets weren't clean. The refrigerator was broken. The beds are really uncomfortable. The fact that we had to pay $15 for parking was a joke. We are paying customers of the hotel. Parking should be free. The only redeeming quality is that you can get to Mayo easily. It almost feels like you know you'll get customers that way so you don't even try. We are not complainers by any means. We didn't expect anything grand. However, we did expect a clean, comfortable room and fair service.

I have stayed here several times this last fall and winter. It's clean and comfortable and I can walk the subway to my clinics. Easy parking on subway level too. Great price!

The beds are absolutely horrific. The only decent thing is it is right across the street from Mayo Clinic. However, if I’d known how awful the beds were, I would’ve driven or stayed somewhere else. The rooms stink. The front desk receptionist was rude when I was checking in. It seemed like it was a bother for her to do her job. The cost is not worth the crappy rooms and crappy treatment by staff.

One thing we noticed was that the room had not been vacuumed. Also a few pieces of trash by the nightstand and floor in bathroom was not clean.
We were not happy with the coffee set up. Only 1 reg & 1 decaf for 2 of us. I was surprised that they didn't have brewed coffee available since breakfast wasn't served anymore.
Overall, the stay was good. It was very quiet!

Beds are horrible, rooms stink like cigarettes and mildew! Had heard rooms were decent, maybe back in 1980 they were! Everything thing in here looks like it’s 40 years old!

Heat took an hour to start working. Heater noisy. Fan in bathroom loud. Beds are well used. Think we got the worst room. I had heard good things, but NOPE!

Black mold on shower head, filthy (moldy? ) air conditioner vents. I took pictures and showed to check-out personnel and the response was unacceptable.

Upon first checking into our room we were on the second floor in the 30’s. I don’t know if the hallway had a leak but there was a floor fan in the hallway. The smell was HORRIBLE! After initially asking the front desk if we could move rooms, front desk put us in THE EXACT SAME HALLWAY! Why did we switch rooms if we were going to be in the exact same stinky smelling hallway?! Also we had trouble with our key card and had to go down to the front desk TWICE! The beds are uncomfortable and so are the pillows. The rooms need to be updated. I was definitely not impressed staying here, especially after a 3hr car ride.

Absolutely disgusting room! We walk in and there’s a used bandaid in our shower, mold on the shower ceiling, mold in the ice from the ice machine and dust on every surface even the fire sprinkler! Enough to start a fire! I’m a Mayo patient with Abbas immune system and this is during the COVID-19 pandemic. Seriously?! My husband cleaned and sanitized everything for me rather then me making someone’s night miserable. So here we are today and I’m on a restricted diet for testing and there is no microwave to heat the broth I can eat. They have some in other rooms but won’t bring one to my room so I can eat!?!? So sweet of them right? Who cares if patients can eat, it’s no big deal.

3 Star hotel — HA! No whirlpool on site but you can walk a block to use one at another hotel. The parking garage is horrendous and costs an extra $15/night. Beds are hard and the pillows are awful. Front desk was not helpful at all. If you come to Rochester, find some place else to stay.

No microwave, expensive rates, have to pay to park in their parking ramp alot of things need fixing in room.

Better communication, knowledgeable employees. No microwave in rooms. Miss information all over. Not happy with the stay. We actually ended up walking outside in the cold with our swimming suits on and flip flops because of licked hallways back to our room. It was 7 degrees and snowing. We would not recommend it to anyone.

Do NOT stay here. My family has used this hotel since 2003. We were here in May & got scheduled for surgery. I went to book our room at front desk and they said it’s cheaper if you use a 3rd party. So I booked thru Expedia. Today, after staying 1 night of our 3 night reservation, my surgery got postponed by Dr. When canceling 2 remaining nights, front desk tells us to call Expedia. I do, Expedia calls KAHLER Inn while I hold. Manager denies our refund. This is after I hear the girl at front desk tell someone no reg rooms are available. Only suites. So now they will re-book our room @ much higher price of $162 a night, double collecting on our room! We will NOT be staying here again!
(AND the hot tub was empty & roped off. )

Service charges and fees are outrageous, when I called and asked a representative about this, she was rude and hung up me. I will definitely do not recommend this hotel.

We had some issues with our first room. Matt the maintenance man was great! He took care of our issue and got everything sorted out. Even if there are issues with a place, having an employee like Matt makes it so much better! Great job Matt, thanks!

Kahler is within walking distance to all your visits at Mayo! Great breakfast provided with your stay.

Terrible service. Breakfast was late! Like 35 mins. Pool was nasty and the “hot tub” was under maintenance. It just looked like they just didn’t want to put water in it. Really small pool! They closed the pool until the next day! Sad sad. Rooms need updating.

This was our second stay during the month of December. We love the access to Mayo and the many subway tunnels connecting us to shopping and restaurants. Clean hotel, great staff and great breakfast. We had a wonderful surprise when we arrived-our room had been upgraded.

Rooms are nice, well furnished and the rooms with kitchens are extremely useful if you're staying for a week. Service is great, very friendly and helpful staff. Surrounding building are very pretty and make even rooms facing them fine to look out of. However the ceiling is oppressively low, which will affect tall people.

I left some loose change on the table, came back after room was cleaned and it was gone. Not a big deal cause it was only a few bucks but if I wanted to leave a tip I'd leave some cash with a note saying thank you. I am disappointed to say the least.

I thought the beds were comfy! Enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly as well! Special thanks to the blond lady who worked evenings! She helped me find the place I wanted to walk to! Would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at the Kahler Inn & Suites multiple times. Most rooms are nice, however, I don't think I would pick a standard room as in my experience they are not as nice (more run down) than the suites. The pool is small and very shallow and the hot tub seems only slightly larger than a bath tub. The breakfasts are good and there are usually several options available. Parking isn't fantastic and you may or may not be able to exit your vehicle once you are parked due to how close the parking is, especially under the hotel. A huge perk is that the Mayo is within walking distance and you can either walk down the block and across the street or use the subway level to stay out of the elements.

We stayed a week and overall it was perfect. Except for two things, first our last two nights we were kept awake by children (youth baseball team) running up and down the hall screaming and banging on doors. Normally it wouldn’t bother us much but this was after 11:30pm and we had to be up at 6:00am. My second issue is that we were charged $2.77 per individual size bag of chips and $2.77 per soda from the front desk. Over $18 for 4 small bags of chips and 2 sodas. We should have been told of the ridiclous pricing. Especially considering there are soda machines every where and a Jimmy John’s in the lobby. The staff was wonderful! From housekeeping to maintanience to the front desk. Rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable and pillows perfect for us. Close to Mayo. We will stay there again.

Staff is wonderful! Especially Dave at the front door! Everyone tries so hard to be helpful, but Dave is exceptional! The rooms are very comfortable and clean with everything you need for an extended stay!

This place is tired and worn out. The night I stayed there the hot water was not available. They are kind of a rip-off, but if you need easy access to the Mayo Clinic, the pedestrian subway is easily accessed by merely going down to the basement on the elevator. They seemed pretty full when I was there so I'm sure they make plenty of $$$ as they are also pretty expensive for such a small town. Shame on them for not remodeling and doing necessary maintenance to provide patients with a more comfortable place to stay when they're there for treatments for serious ailments and injuries! On the other hand the employees were helpful and nice.

By far better than the Kahler Grand! Clean rooms with comfortable baths, nice showers, and helpful staff. There is a Jimmy Johns, a Caribou, and a burger joint/bar all located near the hotel lobby. There is also a little store where you can purchase items you may have left behind. I would recommend to those staying in Rochester.

Hotel is okay. Beds are good, hotel staff are nice. Definitely not as clean as it should be. Water does not run down in shower quickly as well. Ice bucket had water in it upon arrival as well which makes me wonder if it was even touched from the last person who stayed in the room.

The meal and atmosphere was typical. Not bad but not great either. The Kahler is said to be this outstanding and high class Hotel. But no it falls much short of that. It's more like a "Best Western" with an odd smell. This "smell" is everywhere. As soon as we walked in we could smell it. It was still is the air all the way up to the room. It's nice that it's across the street from the hospital. I always like a good sauna and it has that plus a pool and spa. With an interesting view. I would recommend if staying at the hospital. But it's really not worth the price. I do not like how the place smells. There's a "Holiday Inn" real close by. It's still a easy walk from the hospital. We will be staying there next time.

This place has certainly went down hill, not only have they increased their rates now they charge for parking. Got checked in only to find the room had the maintenance man working on it, so we had to wait for him to finish. And for excitement, we have the alarms going off. Odds of us staying here again, probably not very good.

Perfect location! Underground parking and walkway to Mayo Clinic. They do charge $12 per day for parking, but that is the same cost as the public ramp and you don't have to move it the next day. Nice clean rooms. Great restaurant options right inside the hotel. You never have to leave.

The staff is just amazing, for sure. They're so helpful, and willing. The room was pretty great too. Had to stay overnight for an appointment. I would have gone with four or even five stars, but the food, for the price was pretty bad. The fries tasted like they were freezer burnt before being fried and the bacon was kind of icky. And I love bacon. But overall, aside from the restaurant food/room service it as a great experience.

Everyone was so nice and extremely helpful. Their bell man, David, is awesome! He made sure that everything was taken care of. The breakfast every morning was good, with a wide variety to meet everyone's needs. The only downfall of my stay this time was the basketball group that came in over the weekend. The boys were rambunctious, but the adults behaviour was even worse! The Kahler Inn and Suites is very quaint clean and convenient to everything I needed for the Mayo Clinic! I would recommend it to anyone!

Staff was very friendly. It was very convenient for a handicapped person. We enjoyed the Mini-suite. Room was clean. Buffet food was plentiful. Also enjoyed the food at the attached restaurant and coffee shop.

It was ok. I'd say it's a little on the old side in terms of decor and general ambiance. It's not really modern at all. Sometimes when the room decor is that old, it makes it feel like it's not very clean. It just makes everything seem old and worn. It would be great if they updated some things and made it feel a little more modern, clean and bright. I personally like modern rooms where everything is white and bright and it feels clean. I hate old bathrooms as well. Bathrooms aren't super spacious. The room isn't very spacious either, but I guess it's sufficient. It's got a Starbucks downstairs, which is great. I do think cleanliness could be improved. The bathroom in particular was not spotless. I personally like having a separate sitting area other than the bed.

Very outdated. Elevators are slow. Came home not feeling the best. Place felt unclean. Towels were very scratchy and stiff. Bathroom was full of dust and some of my travel buddies didn't have a working sink, another had no working shower. Tiny pool that doesn't go over 3 feet and barely bigger than a small vegetable garden. Very difficult to watch kids in pool. Surrounded by fences and plants. Few chairs in pool area. Nothing much for kids to do. Has Jimmy johns, caribou, and a pretty decent bar/restaurant. Parking ramp has a VERY low clearance and difficult to park. Right in the heart of the mayo, so traffic and roads suck. Overall I was dissatisfied and do not plan on staying at this hotel again. Many other cheaper hotels with more amenities in other parts of Rochester.

It's comfortable, but I was disappointed at how old everything looks. There are these old school showers, public restroom toilets, loud fans, and old bedding. There was mold on the shower head, which was really disgusting. I talked to other students who were housed at the hotel, and we've all had a weird problem with the AC. I turned up the thermostat to 80 degrees, and it was still freezing. Other people had cooling on to 60 degrees and it was super hot. There wasn't consistency with the air. I also left a note for more lotion since the heating dries out my skin, and since I asked for more on day 1 because 1 tube wasn't enough, they refused to give me one the next day. I had to go down to the reception desk to get more. The reception desk people were really nice and helpful. My card got demagnetized 4 times during my visit (which was annoying) but they were really personable.

So I have stayed here several times over the years. Getting progressively worse over time. This time housekeeping stole money from my room and the front desk didn't care. They said they'd fill out an incident report if I wanted. The hot tub was a sandbox. The breakfast was fair at best. 12$ a day for parking. Run down room. The fridge didn't work. Called to get it fixed. I spent an hour+ working on it before I got it going. Before maintenance even got there. Called the front desk over a dozen times to get towels and to, they never answered. Finally went down to the desk and waited for someone to show up. With all the options in Rochester near the Mayo clinic, I'd stay elsewhere.

Comfortable, clean and great staff! The wonderful lady who checked us in was friendly and put us in a quiet corner room after we asked to be away from the elevator as the hotel we were in the night before put us up in a room against a bank of them and we hadn't slept in over 24 hours. The sweet lady working the evening shift made certain we had our luggage the moment it arrived — about 12 hours after we had. I would stay here again without hesitation. I have worked in the hotel industry for years and I am picky about hotels. This one got it right!

What to expect for a $100 for a ⭐⭐ motel. I was pleased, as the check-in went smoothly as did the checkout. Room was clean, beds and pillows soft, clean, and bug free. Had a few hours t MP kill with a non-ambulatory family member so turned on the free Hbo. Had to turn up the volume when the heater kicked on, and It did often. Ended up buying earplugs a mile north at Walgreen's. Would have been less intrusive if it wasn't — 16f out outside Breakfast would be nice if they had more fruit than just bananas for breakfast, but beggars can't be cheaters when the room was only $100. Rest kf the fare was pretty standard. 4****for the price, cleanliness. And personal. Lost one point for loud heater.

I think this hotel does well because of David (Bell Hop, etc. ) and the fact that they are connected by the underground tunnel system. Otherwise they would not make it without major improvements. This old hotel has major hot water issues. We have been here twice for a week once and week and a half again. Both times we had no hot water the night and morning before a procedure (1st visit) and surgery (2nd visit). Twice this time the fire alarms went off in the building in one day. Everyone came into the hall the second time and began sharing experiences. Everyone was dissatisfied with the water. It goes to cold and you make an adjustment to find that the temp goes up rapidly to very hot and so on. Ran out of hot water on my first shower. The rest I thought it could be running out but always had it cycle throughout the process. When complained to, the desk help always says that Maintenence will work on it but they never show up and the problem apparently never changes. They charge $12/day for parking besides the room. Not planning to come back but if we do we will stay elsewhere. No cost savings and not dependable with showering which is important when you are seeing doctors and having surgeries. I hate cold showers as most do! Breakfast is decent but same everyday. Saw bacon one day on the first week but none this time. They ran out of cups, plates, ketchup, and black tea over the weekend? Not understanding why they don’t stock these in quantity.

This is a decent place to stay. I have stayed in better and worse hotels. The hotel's location close to The Mayo Clinic is the best selling point. The rooms are acceptably clean. The customer service was good. The breakfast isn't anything to write home about. The mattresses were not very comfortable.

The best experience ever. The reason I was there was hard but the services the staff the room very clean and the Mayo Clinic connection was what I was looking for. Everything connected. I went from room to elevators to Mayo Clinic and all kinds of restaurants and shopping. The only thing I would add is a Walgreens to the mix. I would stay there again and again and I highly recommend it. Oo.

Its an interesting hotel that seems in the middle of a remodel. Most stay at the Kahler Grand which is priced doubly and the only distance difference is this hotel is not connected to the subway or skyway system. However, that's merely a walk across the street to the Hilton Building. Rooms are comfortable and seem quiet. Most are Mayo patients and their families average cost here is about 150 a night and drops by half Friday through Monday and early checkouts during these days are not charged. The exercise area is humorous. The breakfast served is filling and included. The hospitality and front desk are fantastic and helpful. I don't really recommend dining at the attached 2 star burger place. The hot tub is humorous and the pool is nice and there is a game room also. Rooms are recently renovated and building is near completion with 1 shop coming soon. Caribou coffee and Jimny John's is attached to this hotel also.

Got a great deal in a suite for $85 w/ tax for 2 rooms a 200 square foot balcony on the floor with the other suites and breakfast to add to the morning. The upgrade was awesome! Traveling solo does get a lot of upgrades versus the other alternative from my experience. Rooms are all remodeled with all new furnishings and mattresses this past season. The hotel may be the ugliest duckling from outside but the advantages are plentiful. Price, location, and ease… next door to Mayo Civic Center.

They change the price every day, no matter what your reservation said. The FIRST room we we're in had what looked like urine and pubic hair on ceiling. Mold above tub, dust everywhere, and they didn't seem to care. SECOND room horribly dusty and still looked like dripping urine above toilet. Showering was an adventure… freezing to scalding all within 15 seconds. The only good thing about free breakfast was the milk was perfectly cold, everything else stale or Luke warm, or just gone. They admitted too price gouging, and never offered an apology. Had we had time and not a dozen appointments at the Mayo clinic we would have switched hotels, but we will NEVER stay again! 160.00 a night for dust and mold. I've stayed at 80.00 a night rooms that we're spotless!

The location in relation to the Mayo clinic makes it extremely handy if you have appointments there. The rooms are adequate. You are definitely paying for the location.

Thieves. Less than an hour after checking out I called inquiring about an item I knew I left in the room. Instead of answering the phone, I had to leave a message. When I didn't receive a call back I walked there to ask if they had found my item. The rude front desk employee, who didn't want to be inconvenienced, reluctantly called housekeeping and spoke with Becky. The front desk relayed to me that Becky had sent someone to the room; however, they didn't see my item. When I explain it was a large item and difficult to miss, the front desk person stated I could speak with Becky myself and handed me the phone. When I explained to Becky that I had checked out only a couple hours prior she said the same thing, my item wasn't there and the housekeeper who cleaned the room wasn't working but who return the next day and she would call me back. I still haven't received a call. Take your business elsewhere. Thieves.

We are on our second week here. The restaurant is great, the housekeeping is wonderful and very easy access to Mayo clinic. Couldn't be happier. Would definitively stay here next time!

Dated and depressing. Dominant interior color scheme is yellow. Seriously, they could look into some new paint and carpet that isn’t reminiscent of the early 1980s. I only stay here when my client brings me into town to work. Generally it’s an ok place to sleep, but just barely. Yet on this visit, I was trying to sleep when I heard a loud, persistent droning sound outside my window at 11:30pm. Sounded like an industrial leaf blower right beneath my window. It was a GREASE VACUUM TRUCK, I was told by the front desk person. It seems that the middle of the night is the only time this service could be performed on the restaurant. Brilliant! (It has been going for two straight hours. ) So great on a night when I’ve got to get up at 5am. Can’t sleep, guess I’ll just stay up all night. I imagine all the folks who are here for medical treatment at the Mayo don’t appreciate it very much either. Stay elsewhere if you can. Or bring earplugs.

One star is a compliment. A small garbage can wouldn't fit in the tiny bathroom. Shower didn't work but the front desk said it does "it's just weird. " Small 32" TV in between the living room and the bedroom, it's old and had brightness and dimming alternating often. On site parking is small so I had to park at Graham. I paid $152 yay!

Room availability is good. Staff is always friendly. Rooms are clean. Beds not great, pillows not good. And seriously, someone needs to tell you. Having Jimmy John's right close really does nothing for the smell. All I can smell is Jimmy John's and it is not good. Parking is horrid. We had to pay additional $ for staying here and parking a vehicle.

Beautiful hotel, huge room, fast Wi-Fi and a teeny tiny bathroom. Parking in their main structure when we arrived, very late so our completely, but validated at adjacent structure. Only design flaw in the room we stayed in was that the AC unit, which underperformed, was located about 4 inches from one of the queen sized beds and blew straight into the curtains. Expansive and good tasting continental breakfast.

I stayed here while working at Mayo for the week. It is a very convenient location to the hospital, so a lot of patients stay here. There is free breakfast and free parking. The rooms were very comfortable. I stayed in a queen room, but I noticed there are many different styles of rooms. The suites looked very nice.

Older on the inside. Looks nice from the outside. The underground parking is a little awkward because there is only one lane for cars in both directions. Room is nice and roomy. Got a kitchen in it with a decent flat top stove. No saute pan, but I worked around it with a large pot. Beds are fairly comfy. I'd like them a little softer, but they are okay. Lots of towels in the room, and it was very clean. I liked the "den". A couch in front of the TV and a nice desk to work at. All in all, very pleased with the room. The breakfast was standard fare, but get there early. They were out of orange juice with over an hour of breakfast left, and refused to make up more, to "not waste it". I'd still recommend staying if your looking for a great cost to quality stay.

The room, service, and restaurant were quite nice. Clean and accommodating. The only negative was the breakfast. Something was broken each day and the food was definitely sub-par.

The stay was great! The beds and room was gret. Breakfast was cold but other than that it was ok.

I arrived with a broken femur and alot of pain. All the staff were very helpful and took care of all my needs!

Great place to stay! Nice spacious room with a good size patio/deck off of it. Very reasonably priced. Walking distance to food & bar establishments in downtown Rochester. Would definitely recommend!

Dear Kahler Representive, I am emailing in regard to my stay. First I'd like to say that, the room accommodations, were adequate and roomy. When I was looking for a place to stay in Rochester, close in proximity to the Mayo Clinic. I decided on The Kahler Inn and Suites, after checking online and comparing, not only prices, but also location and amenities. In speaking with the front desk to see what if any discounts were available for patients, the prices I was quoted in that regard; were the same as what I found online at the various travel websites. I find it disheartening that something is being sold as discounted for Mayo patients when it truly is not. The issues that prompted my email is that, a few of the justifications for the increased price of KIS, as compared to the other Kahler options, were the "Free" breakfast and the Free parking. In regard to the "Free" breakfast : This was not a "get what you pay for" meal. Considering the price of a standard room and the atmosphere, that was otherwise pretty good, the breakfast was more than lacking. Here are the issues: 1 — Inconsistent info — time in guest info not the same as what desk staff had. 2 — By 6:45 am the eggs were gone, save a few dry rubbery bites. 3 — the hash brown potato rounds and were barely above room temp. 4 — both the orange and the apple juice were very watered down.

Leaks from the toilet and black mold on the wall, fridge door mounted on wrong side (would be unusable for handicapped or obese guests). Beds mediocre for overpriced hotel, rental movies for 18 bucks, what a joke. People were very friendly and helpful but could not understand why a dish cloth is not sufficient for cleaning pans in kitchen units.

The only thing good I can say about this place is the convent location. There are a lot of nice restruants and shops around plus the Mayo clinic. But the rooms are dirty, bathrooms have dirty toilets, showers, and mildew on the sinks. I have changed rooms 3 times and still not satisfied with the housekeeping. There were stains on the sheets, food crumbs, and an obvious unclean bathroom. The rooms need to be updated.

Rooms were clean but dated and lacked common amenities, i. E. The pool and hot tub were the size expected from a much smaller hotel and the rooms had small bathrooms and didn't include hairdryers. There were child athletes staying during our visit with no supervision. They were playing in the hallways and in the elevators and generally being disruptive at all hours with no staff intervention. If not for the situation with our fellow guests, the hotel would have sufficed as a decent bed to sleep in and no more.

Our experience hasn't been the greatest. This hotel is very tired and dated. When we arrived at 8:00 on 2-19, we waited for 10 minutes for an employee to appear and check us in. While waiting, we noticed evey receipt names, addresses, etc spread all over the countertop which was quite disturbing. Our room was micro-sized (2 Queen standard) and is probably the smallest room I've ever stayed in. We can literally hear people conversating in their rooms across the hall while in our room. The staff seems overworked and it shows in their "not-so-happy" attitudes. The "pool and workout and breakfast area" is extremely odd. It appears it used to be a huge beautiful courtyard that they broke down to being small rooms of nothing. Continental breakfast was a joke. I typically don't expect much anyways, but this one was really lacking this morning. The juice machine was broken, the overall area was dirty, we walked in and walked right back out. Nothing seems to surprise us with this stay. We do, however, enjoy the location and the ability to walk anywhere downtown and enjoy the city. Though we may return to the area, we will NEVER return to a Kahler hotel.

Breakfast is something they need to seriously work on. Everything was dried out, they served maple syrup but no waffles… something that was supposed to be meat? The coffee was basically just hot water. Rooms are ok, somewhat outdated but beds were comfy enough and the room was decently clean.

The room is an average hotel room. Well maintained and comfortable. The staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. The hotel is in close proximity to the Mayo Clinic and there is a sub shop and coffee bar attached to the lobby.

My husband and I have stayed at your hotel many times over the past year. We appreciate the cleanliness of your rooms and the friendliness of your workers. We have experienced issues with parking and reservations, but found those to be small inconveniences in exchange for the convinence of the hotel's location in relation to the Mayo Clinic. Unfortunately, you've recently increased your Mayo patient rate by 15% and we can no longer afford to stay at your facility. Bring back your lower Mayo patient rate!
