Had a great night at hotel.
Breakfast at 9am, then the aquarium was nice end to weekend.
(Staff/Employees always helpful and friendly)

A clean and cozy hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff! The morning breakfast crew was smiling and talking to everyone instead of the usuall growl and sneer you usually get, and they upgraded us to a river view room for free THEN upgraded us to a suite with a river view all for free. Very down to earth with hot breakfast comfy beds and very clean rooms.

Cancelled our room for the fireworks to give it to the "regulars" DO NOT BOOK HERE.

This hotel is in a perfect location with beautiful views. Very nice and pleasant customer service staff. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast.

Really enjoying the stay. Our suite has a view of the river and its fantastic! The bed is clean and comfortable, 2 TVs and a huge bathroom. To top it off… a whirlpool tub! The room is a little dated (carpet, ceiling, furniture) but it's clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast had a lot of options. It's located in the middle of nice restaurants within walking distance and other places are a very short drive. Would definitely stay again!

Best night of this trip by far! Extremely friendly and helpful staff, great room right on the river front. Would definitely recommend staying here any time you are near Cincinnati.

Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Front desk staff was very friendly. Good location close to the aquarium and river. A few restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was good and the coffee was pretty good for a Comfort Suites.

Check in time for this hotel is 4:00. We tried to check in at 4:30 and were told the rooms were not cleaned yet and they wanted us to come back in twenty minutes. We walked around for awhile and came back 30 minutes later and there were still no clean rooms. Finally, at 6:00 the room was clean and we could check in… two hours after their check in time. We made this reservation over a month ago so it's not like they didn't know they needed rooms cleaned for that day. The lady behind the counter was very polite and kept apologizing, seems like a management issue. The room was clean when we finally were able to get in.

Location was great. Room was perfectly fine except the toilet seat was broken. You could see room service going up and down the hallways so you knew it was clean. Everyone was really friendly.

Older hotel. Near places we were going. Friendly and professional staff. Have to say a Big thank you to Desk clerk Bently, he is the best! Good breakfast options. Near good restaurants and beer gardens.

Very nice location, great room, fair view of the river… however the morning front desk lady was very rude on the phone as well as in person. Altho when we returned after the first game which I would think would be the 2nd shift front desk people … they were amazing and so helpful with check-in! Definitely plan on staying here next time we plan to come watch the Cubs play against the Reds!

I went a bit back and forth on this review, but in the end, I think 3 is appropriate. The night before my wedding, my sister, niece, and mother stayed in one of the "suites" here, as we were from out of town, and it was near our wedding venue. Needlessly to say, the staff were nice, the lobby nice, and the parking plentiful, but the room itself was genuinely pretty terrible. ESPECIALLY considering the price. We paid near $260 for a suite, and what we got was a very outdated room with two beds, a couch that should not have escaped the 80's and a very tiny room to navigate with a desk that actually had one leg shorter than the other. It was all in all very disappointing considering what we paid, and had hoped to just chill in the night before.

Check in wasn’t til 3:30pm got there about 6pm and our double rooms wasn’t ready. Took the front desk clerk and 1 other lady about a hr to get our rooms together. The only good thing we ended up getting our rooms for free cause of the hassle. Oh when we made the reservation they said there was a pool and there wasn’t the girls wasn’t happy.

We had a great stay. The room was clean and spacious. This is an older hotel, so if you like places with character, then this is a great place to stay. We were on the 3rd floor and had a great view of the Ohio River and Cincinnati, Ohio. You can walk to the levy and Newport Aquarium if you want. It will take you about 10-15 minutes, but there are no sidewalks and you have to walk down Riverboat Road, (no sidewalks, just business parking lots), which with little ones in tow, I didn't risk it. It's not a place I would want to walk after dark. The staff at the hotel were extremely nice and helpful, and breakfast is served from 6:30-9:30 am so we didn't feel rushed in the morning. This hotel is surrounded by restaurant's. We had dinner one night at the new Cancun Grill. The food was good and the view of the river was great! Very popular and busy place. There is also a seafood restaurant right behind the hotel.

My wife and I ended up staying there for a week after our home and flooded. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downfall we had with the entire situation was there was an error in Billing which was corrected quickly but should have never happened. This hotel offers greatrooms, extreme comfort and amazing views of the city and the river!

Stay couldn't have nicer. Great location, lots to see and do in immediate area. Staff was great! Room was clean and we'll appointed. Right on the river. Won't disappoint.

Very clean rooms. Friendly staff. We had a overlook of the river from the 4th floor. Free hot breakfast in the AM was very good also. When ever we come back to Kentucky we’ll definitely be staying here.

Great place to stay. Staff was very nice. Stayed in one of the King Bed suites with living room. Plenty of room, clean and great river view! Breakfast ran until 9:30 and was very good! Very satisfied with our stay.

"I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE" I have stayed at multiple locations of comfort suites and choice hotels. By far this stay at Newport location has been very challenging. Avoid this location. 1) Cracked bathroom sink 2) Clogged Bath tub 3) Broken Shower curtain rod 4) Non working Fridge 5) Stained Bath tubs, not maintained at all 6) Floor was stained, had spills all over 7) Take a black light with you, you'll find a lot of junk in your rooms 8) Old elevator very noisy if your room is close to the elevator Very disappointed with comfort suites, reported these issues to management, no resolution was provided. "i do not recommend this place"

Not that’s anybody reads these reviews anyway but this place is awful. I rented the “presidential suite” for my now wife and her brides maids to get ready in before the wedding. The room was absolutely disgusting. The brides maids had to buy flip flops to wear in the room because the bottom of their would get black from the floor being so dirty and sticky. The drapes and ceiling had dust and suit all over them. There was a bunch else wrong but too much to list. Apparently customer service couldn’t do anything about it, so I wrote a complaint to the website. I was told they are all independently owned and they are unable to do anything about it. Just stay away if possible.

The hotel is very nice. Priced right. The staff is absolutely awesome. Everyone is so nice and helpful. They care about the customers!

Lovely stay right across the river from downtown Cincinnati. Very welcoming lobby and staff. Nice large clean rooms, and parking lot. Just a short drive from food and nightlife. Great place to stay if you were in town to catch a game.

Check in was very smooth and they have complimentary lemon water in the lobby. I know that's small, but it's still appreciated. The rooms we clean and spacious. A couple of complaints however were when housekeeping came to see if the could clean our room she tried to undo the safety chain on the door by sticking her hand in. Now this chain can only be locked from the inside, which should be a clear indication that we are still in the room, then when we got back to the room later that evening our key cards no longer worked. The parking spaces are a bit tight, but the veiw of the Ohio River and the Cincinnati skyline were amazing.

Wonderful room, great overlook of the river. Room was furnished similar to. Modern. New york. City. Close to several attractions would stay again eithout hesitation.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and somewhat newly renovated. There are a few things nearby to walk to, and a really great view of the Cincinnati skyline from some of the rooms on that side. The Aquarium is within walking distance as well. Our last morning was interrupted by a fire alarm for the building. They thought it was some crossed wires in the system and had a technician scheduled for service that afternoon, but otherwise a false alarm. Would stay here again though. Great for the price!

Family from out of town likes staying here because it's right off the highway and has a good view of the river. Good biscuits and gravy. I've visited guests here for over a decade (but never stayed myself, ) and the staff have been pleasant each time. Would be nicer if there was a pool, and one family member tried to go into the fitness area to look at options but it was locked.

Overall, it felt clean and looked nice. Good location for a night out. Very busy on a weekend. We had one car between two rooms booked and could not find a parking spot on a Friday evening between the hotel lot or small overflow lot that the front desk advised we check out. Continental breakfast was a little under average. Eggs were pretty bad. Staff was friendly and quick to help us with anything needed (extra towels, tooth brush and tooth paste, etc. )

Two friends getting together to spend some time with each other and to go sightseeing thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The man at the desk named Bentley went above and beyond the Call of Duty to make sure we had a wonderful time. Would stay there again.

We stayed at 3 different Comfort Suites while on vacation last week. This one was by far the cleanest and the most up to date. The only problem that we had was parking… There was not enough parking for the hotel guests if the hotel was sold out as was the case on the night that we stayed. We had to park in the parking lot of a restaurant nearby. To me this was a huge inconvenience especially with small children. Plus I didn't feel it was safe to leave my car parked so far away.

Usually very clean. Has been updated fairly recently. Has good comfortable beds. The breakfast is as good as most mid range hotels. The best part is that it is across the street from the Party Source and New Riff Distillery. Also a great base for walking the Purple Bridge and visiting the Levee.

Pretty decent hotel. Location is pretty spectacular, being just a minute from the highway, across the street from a liquor store, and minutes away from area attractions. Room was clean when we arrived. Bed was very firm and the pillows were firm and supportive. Our room had a couch, desk/chair, microwave, and minifridge. Shower left something to be desired in both water pressure and heat but was by no means the worst shower I have ever taken. Breakfast was pretty good. Standard hotel breakfast really: pastries, cereals, fruit, the ever-popular waffle iron, and some warm scrambled eggs and sausages. My only breakfast complaint was that the layout was perplexing at best and difficult to navigate at worst. The view of the river on a nice morning out the giant windows made it much more tolerable.

Conveniently located across the street from the party source. Also within walking distance from many bars and different entertainments.

Room was clean and comfy. Location is great, right on the river. Parking is a little bit of a pain but it looks like they are working on it.

Breakfast was pretty good — room was clean and comfortable. The best part is the location — a lot of local bars and breweries.

Our experience with the staff at this location was a nightmare. We booked this hotel for our wedding night and around 90 other guests booked here as well. On our wedding night, the restaurant across the street had someone welding all night long. It kept all of us up all night. The staff at Comfort Inn did nothing about it. The next morning they could not be bothered to explain what had happened and even upper management would do nothing. None of us got any sleep and it ruined our brunch the next day. Although the noise was not the hotels fault, the way they handled the situation was despicable. The managers and staff were rude and unaccommodating. I would never go back or recommend any one else give them their business. If you expect them to help you, they won't.

This place is great. Staff has been excellent in my 3 day stay, and housekeeping are in and out like ninjas. Great view from my room!

Convenient, clean, and good service. Nothing special, but a reliable place to stay when visiting Cincinnati or Newport.

Clean rooms. Nice staff. Halfway decent Wi-Fi. Got a beautiful view of the city even at our discounted rate. A maid stopped us in the hall first day and asked us if we wanted anything special done to our room and we were confused and said "beds made, the usual" and she asked us to initial for her boss that we only wanted beds made and did NOTHING else. No new towels, no clean bathroom, no trash taken out. Also, we got awoken at 3am to the fire alarm. Some idiot lit a candle and dropped their clothes on it. The front desk manager was very kind and apologetic and we were back in after a visit from firemen and about 20 minutes. Can't dock the hotel for that, though. Would stay again but be sure to tell maids to actually do their jobs, I guess.

The staff at the front desk informed us our room was not ready at 3pm when we tried to check in before she even took any info from us. When we returned a bit later we found that the rooms were pre assigned so she had no ides if it was ready. They were still cleaning at least 6 rooms just on our floor. I suppose the snack food left on the floor was a bonus for us. The cleaning cart clutter the hall on the way to breakfast. They are still loaded with trash from the previous day's cleaning. The lady in charge of breakfast is very nice and helpful. She goes above and beyond.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It was so bad it made me want to end my vacation early. The toilet ran all night and kept filling up. The Wi-Fi was slow and worked every now and then. Stains were on the walls, bedding and towels. The AC unit in our room and in the hallway outside our room was very loud and did not feel like it even worked that well. The shower head pressure was so bad, taking a shower in the sink would have been better (Not to mention the mold beginning to form on the shower wall). The ice machine on our floor was broken and we had to go to another floor to get ice. The free breakfast was not that great — microwaved bacon and instant eggs, stale bagles, and a juice machine that was never refilled with orange juice. The list goes on and on, but those were my main complaints. At $360.00 for two nights it wasn't worth it at all. I will never stay at another Comfort Suites or recommend to anyone I know to stay here. Add to the fact that it put me in a bad mood and my wife and kids had to deal with that, my trip here was a bad experience. I'm not one to complain usually, but I feel other potential guests should be warned to spend their money elsewhere for a better experience.

We stayed overnight at Comfort Suites when going to a wedding in Cincinnati. The location was very close to downtown Cincinnati and only a $5 uber charge to get to the wedding reception. I was very happy with the front desk personnel, the hot breakfast in the morning, and the accommodations. The room was a good size and had everything that we needed. It was updated as well, having USB ports near the desk. I was impressed and will return.

Room was clean and the hotel was very friendly. The rooms were nice and quiet. Had a wonderful stay. Great location for when visiting Kings Island.

Got here two hours early. Seth says he can give me tag for car but can't check in til 4. I sit in the parking lot for two hours watching others with bags go in but never come out. I call an hour early to see if I can check in and mention that I was active duty (on military appreciation day) to check if my requested water view showed up, still wait… I go in at 4 and get some lame street view and hair in my shower. Seth tries to give me a second parking pass all the while mentioning that if he knew I was outside waiting that he would've tried to get me my requested view. No info upon check in for where ice or Wi-Fi is. Wi-Fi is not worth it btw, mobile carrier faster. I check out early tomorrow so Seth will be happy to go shove another hamburger down his throat and I back overseas to protect his fatass. No love Cincy.

Rooms are nice. I'm disgusted by their nickel and dime policy of a safe fee. I don't like surprises. When I checked in they gave me a form to intial. Part of it was the standard $150 fee if you smoke. Initialed. Another $150 cleaning fee if you smoke. No problem. Initialed. "I understand a safe fee will be added to my bill. " What? I hesitated initialing. In fact, I thought about going to a different hotel right then. Of course, the wife and kids are waiting behind me with all the luggage. "I have to pay this, even if I'm not using it? " "Yes, the woman replied. It's only a dollar. " In my head, I'm thinking, "You nickel and diming b@$+@rds. " I probably have $3 in change in my pocket. It's not the amount, it's the principle. If you're making everyone pay, just add it to your room rates. This is really bugging me. I glance back at my family, suck it up, and hesitantly initial. The only info I found on this was one travel website mentioned this was an optional fee. It sure didn't feel very optional. They pretty much made it mandatory. I'm checking with the KY Consumer Protection Bureau to confirm this is legal. The room rate also includes a breakfast. Normally, when you check into a hotel with this, they tell you the serving time and the location. They didn't mention this or much of anything. As I write this, I know this is really insignificant, but I'm looking for faults in my front desk check in experience. And this is just poor procedure.

The river view was nice. There was no functioning vent in the bathroom though, and the breakfast consisted of powdered eggs and crispy precooked bacon.

Great location in Newport KY Riverfront Rd. Restaurants, Newport aquarium, and The Levee complex within walking distance. The hot breakfast was good. While we didn't have any issues with cleanliness of the room several others in our group had some pretty significant issues.

Location is okay. Busy street below south side rooms. Rooms on the north side have river/city views. Room was comfortable, Wi-Fi was hassle free. Drink machine was broken for the free breakfast, which was hot ham and eggs.

I am VERY DISSATISFIED with the GENERAL MANAGER at this location. Her name is Diann or Diana. She was rude to me as an employee and as a customer, she does not represent Comfort Suites like she should. I will never go there again or have anyone I know go back to stay for a night/week or work there. Diana should be professional and not be such a rude person. never go back to comfort suites in newport. treat people with resepct, there was no need for the comments and rude actions she gives.

Rooms were decent and clean. Staff seemed friendly and helpful, but our toilet ran all night and our neighbors were loud. Not much sleep. Unfortunately, my daughter left her most favorite blanket there and after 2 calls to try to get it returned… I had no success. Housekeeping said they would call me back and never did. : (
