DO NOT STAY! We booked on Groupon, thought it was a great deal 60$ for one night in Atlanta. Sounded great! The free shuttle to the airport really helped us out however, they stole our room deposit! There is absolutely NO reason we should have not got that back! I tried calling the hotel the week after checkout and the front desk just told me it takes 7-10 business days for the deposit to go back to the credit card… it’s not been OVER 3 weeks… I have called the hotel multiple times to give them a chance to make it right, however no one has even given me a call back. THEIFS! PLEASE, do yourself a favor and might as well spend the extra money to not stay at a roach hotel because it will cost you the amount of a nice hotel in the end anyway once they steal you deposit!

It's the best experience I've ever had, customer service is very excellent, the room me and my daughter had was very clean and with plenty of space, my overall experience was wonderful, I will definitely be returning!

Nice rooms. Looks newly remodeled. Very convenient to the airport and shopping.

Room was good. Bed had a good mattress and TV was a large LG. Shuttle service to the airport was great too. Only few thing that were odd. No tissues in the holder and one hair on the towel that was on the bathtub.

Terrible hotel. Absolutely terrible. Don't depend on their shuttle to pick you up from the Atlanta, you'll freeze to death or die of a heat stroke. The manager Alexis is no help either. We called 18 times between two people and she left us on hold instead of apologizing for the inconvenience. I will NEVER ever stay at this hotel again. They are liars. People who can't just say a shuttle is running late, please wait instead give you the run around and put you on hold and like Alexis (THE MANAGER) hangs up on you. Don't stay here. You'll regret it.

My party and I had a great time and enjoyed our stay with the Red Lion Hotel. Great service and really nice room. You get way more for your dollar staying here. The best part was simply the quiet at their beautiful pool. Definitely will stay again.

It's a pretty nice hotel. The staff have been great and the restaurant was a bonus for me. There's a few down side though, there's no microwave in the room but they have a public one downstairs, there's no coffee machine but have a one downstairs available 24/7, and no iron and ironing board. Other then that I enjoyed my stay. There's plenty of food options around and it's not far from downtown. Hope this helps.

Hotel was a middle of the road hotel. Nice staff. Looked nice aesthetically. Very basic breakfast. I will say that I did sleep well and would not regret having to stay here again but would still prefer a nice Hilton or the like.

The customer care here was excellent, and the rooms were very clean and well kept. The soap and such was really fancy charcoal infused stuff as well. But the biggest sell, is that they are pet friendly. No extra charge during my stay with 2 dogs and a cat, and everyone was incredibly helpful and understanding to our situation. The best we could have hoped for after getting our flight delayed.

The room was nice but lacked some things. The beds we're nice and comfortable. The room did not have a mini fridge or a microwave. If you are looking to stay somewhere for more than a day or two. Do not stay here. But for a night stay, it's perfect. There is also a pizzeria in the area that will deliver to your room and it is inexpensive. I hope this helps. Have a nice day.

Got here to check in and my booking info was lost. Booked a room for two nights and after the first night room service was there to clean my room because I was supposedly booked for one night! The staff was unprofessional and wasn’t told about the parking and incentive fee until the day I checked in. This will be my first and last time staying here!

Other guests loud arguing at 2 am. Walls thin u can hear people having sex at 6pm. Couldn't ignore cause batteries died in remote so couldn't cut up TV. (No replacement batteries at desk). Have to call an engineer I was told. Breakfast was good, service was okay but to be expected with the type of crowd. My bathroom wasn't cleaned well at all I had blood on walls, shower leaked used more towels on floor instead of my body. And my covers had dead bugs smeared on it or some kind of stains. The bed was very comfortable though after I took off the dirty cover. Couldn''t give a 2.5 so I gave it a 3

Rated five stars for the best customer service, friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond to accommodate me and to help a really bad situation. Hotel is clean, some updates. Breakfast is pretty nice plus a Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel with great food and really good margaritas! I would come here again and recommend it. Also free water in room. Oooo totally forgot to mention PETS STAY FREE!

Pretty nice for the prices. Don't be fooled by the outside. Inside is newly renovated and beautiful! Connected to a Mexican restaurant, too. Ya don't even have to walk outside.

Our flight was missed due to connection flight delayed so delta airlines put us up for the night. Nice clean hotel convenient to Atlanta airport. Only problem is the staff not knowing their basic services or providing access to them. All vending and washing machines use only quarters. Yet the front desk didn't have any. I was advised to leave the premises and seek out change at other venues along the avenue.

Stayed here for a weekend. My car got broken into. It’s in a bad area of Atlanta. I won’t ever stay here again unless I don’t have to park my car. The rooms are very nice. They have a cute reading room. And breakfast is decent. The workout room is small but can’t complain. Other than that, the staff was professional. But that could change shift by shift.

Really nice experience. Parking is $12 a day not to bad considering other hotels charge much more. Security walking the grounds. Breakfast is pretty good. Would have liked some eggs. But a great value none the less. Employees are extremely nice and helpful.

I don't understand who these people are that review these establishments. You would think they were the King or Queen of a country the way they talk negatively about accommodations that exceeded my expectations. Don't listen to these negative reviews below. This hotel is wonderful. The staff is extremely helpful. The connecting Mexican restaurant is wonderful. Definitely worth every penny (eventho you won't need many to stay here)

After a long journey we had to get there and wait 1 hour and a half so that will give us the room and after a lot of noise in the hallways. Little kindness on the part of the staff.

I stayed one night here. I love staying at the Red Lions in the northwest because they are good quality but I certainly don’t recommend this one. When we got there the fire dept was trying to get someone out of one of the elevators that was stuck. It was out of order the rest of the time I was there. The elevator that I was able to use was old, slow and I didn’t have a lot of confidence in its safety. The building is very old and still has the connecting rooms. There was a significant gap under the door connecting my room to the room next to mine. I was subject to a room full of marijuana smoke filling my room from the room next door all night and day. The fire alarm in my room was missing the outside cover, exposing the insides and was obviously not working. The marijuana smell in my room was overwhelming. I informed a staff member the next morning when I saw her walking down the hall. She came into my room and agreed that it was marijuana and said she would address it but I don’t know if she did because I checked out. There was one towel in the bathroom. The shower head is perfect height for me at 5 foot but any taller and I would’ve had to duck under it to take a shower. The towel holder in the shower was rusted. The ceiling above the shower had mold on it and looked like years of painting over mold. The beds are very hard and my back was killing me when I got up this morning.

The room is very small. It will be sufficient if you never plan to be in the room very much but if you're the type who likes to hang inside your room, don't stay here. I was in my room the majority of my stay and it allowed me to notice how dirty the room really was and the shotty jib they did at an attempt to renovate an obviously old hotel. At first glance it's nice but the bathroom showed the truth about how the rooms are being "cleaned". First, there were about 3 different kinds of other people's hair in our bathroom upon arrival, second, you can tell by how dirty your socks get that they never mop throughout the whole room… which leads me to believe that they also don't wipe the toilet seats. The shower wall was dirty/streaky with grime, and there was mold and mildew in the corners. The toilet was also nasty. The only real plus was that the beds and pillows were somewhat comfortable and the room has a large TV. Throughout the room and property, you will see the old issues peeking under the new paint. The pool area is also dirty. I would get in the pool with having a tetanus shot. I will upload pics.

Minimal hotel. Not clean. Dusty, dirty counters and dirty floors. I had to wipe up a spill of ours and the rag came up filthy from the dirt, dirty linoleum. Night staff was not very pleasant but instead quite rude. Our room had a plastic upright chair instead of a plush chair with foot stool. Just not a good experience. BUT beds were very comfortable, clean nice sheets and coverlet/duvet. The towels, face cloths and bath mat were very clean (or new) and we're plush. Even nice toiletries in the bathroom.

This place was disgusting and falling apart. Our hotel room was nasty. The floors are sticky and I'm not sure how often they are swept or mopped because it definitely wasn't before we got there. They were full of dirt and kind of sticky. The bathroom had mildew in the shower and who knows what else on the walls. The towels were gross with dark spots on them and they didn't look clean. The ice bucket was sticky with some brown goop on it, which I had to clean before using. Going to get ice was frightening. The ice machine was up one level, no big deal. The elevator down the hall seemed to be taking a while, so I decided to take the stairs, but could not get the door open due to the fact that it was broken and falling off, a maintenance worker had to pull it open. The storage closet doors near the stairwell were falling off the hinges (the whole place looked like it was just falling apart). Luckily, on the way back down there was another elevator towards the side of the building. The next morning at 8 AM we got a knock asking if we needed house keeping. Got another knock at 11:20 AM asking if we were checking out or staying another night. They have a checkout time of 12 noon. Why are workers knocking on our door for check out, rather than looking it up in their computer system? Would I stay here again, no. Would I recommend anyone staying here, no. What I would recommend is that there's a holiday inn across the street, stay there.

They don’t tell u til u get there that they hold an extra $40 on ur card, parking is $12/night and they held an extra $100 on my card after taxes and rest of the fees! Parking is suppose to b private u need a key card to access and my car along with most of the hotels was broken into! I called spoke with the GM he informed me that they do not cover expenses as such when they shud have insurance to cover! They were aware all night that our cars had been vandalized and never… said anything. We didn’t know until we actually went out to our cars and they acted surprised when they shuda have informed us by knocking on our doors because it was clear that they knew. They called the police who also did nothing. Please please please do not book with these clowns.

Very clean and modern hotel, full of USB connection points and plugs for all your devices. Secure and very quiet. The morning brunch was good and the dinner facilities (a Spanish Restaurant & Bar) were nice. They have quiet rooms for reading and a gym as well. I really enjoyed my stay.

I came to Atlanta for the weekend and when looking for a hotel I was nervous because most of them said they had either roaches or bed bugs. Red Lion is a wonderful choice for a hotel, it's not far from the Atlanta airport and it has a lot of things to do around the area. The staff was beyond awesome in helping me and with me not being from the area, they took their time with me to figure things out. If I ever go back, that would be the hotel I would stay at. Thank you Red Lion for a wonderful weekend stay.

The bed was so comfy! The room was clean. No issues with the room. The girls at the front desk were really sweet. I just wish they had oatmeal and dairy free creamer at the continental breakfast. The lobby is spacious and clean. Very close to the airport. Interior decorating is lovely.

Very nice hotel. I would describe this place as an upscale hotel that is great for families or for a couples get away. The food in the restaurant is good and the place appears clean. Furthermore, the rooms are top notch in my opinion. Very clean and organized along with very helpful staff behind the counter. The one draw back is the noise from the airport but, in the room it is less noticeable, but I would not recommend a room on the top floor to a light sleeper.

Hello everyone, booked the room for one night and was bitterly disappointed! On the bed were long black hairs, the bathroom was completely filthy. I immediately complained down at the front desk and was offered a new room. This was already better, but in the room on the floor this time was long brown hair.
My conclusion: Keep your hands off me! Eckelhafte Hotel. I must honestly say that I had to get over the third room to come in!

The hotel has rooms cozy, modern and with tv, it is suitable for families. It has a swimming pool, gym and buffet breakfast simple.

Lousy service, poor attention of the staff on the night shift I could or wanted to help to transport us from the airport to the hotel. Really a very bad experience. Do not rent!

Terrible place. We stayed there because of Delta Airlines. Called a noise complaint at 3am and I had to call the front desk 4 times in order for them to handle the situation. Breakfast was terrible. And I even wanted to purchase water bottle for my 4 year old daughter and they didn’t have water bottles… The only good thing they have is the Mexican restaurant next door. Find something else … if you’re staying by Atlanta airport.

Room was OK but was greeted to parking at $12 a day, no elevator and noisy neighbors. Breakfast was sort of nice as you could make your own waffles from batter, get coffee etc as needed but opened at 7AM. If you can get Motel 6 prices, it might be ok.

Great value, friendly staff. Great delivery available. Best towels, shampoo, conditioner, facial cleaner and skin lotions! comp breakfast was great as well. I paid the price that a Motel 6 costs, but felt like I was in a Ritz… Great pillows too!

Great Hotel, Breakfast was great and the rooms where very clean. The aesthetics of the room I stayed in was beautiful and relaxing. The view was the only problem I had and that was minor. Great hotel to stay in for a while.

Will not come back here ever again. When I booked the hotel it told me there are no surprises. The price I was told was all I was paying but when I got here they charged me $12 per day for the parking and $40 security deposit. I have never seen a hotel in my life which charges security deposit. Then I come to my room and it was so dirty, the floors looked like were never mopped. My they were sticky and there was mold in the walls… disgusting! You can look at the toilet seat, I felt like throwing up every time I had to go to the bathroom. There is no microwave, mini fridge or coffee machine in the room. Within few hours of being in our room my son got sick, he was perfectly fine before.

2 1/2 stars. Updated older lodge style. Location was close to airport. Neighborhood was safe but NOT desirable. The employees were very nice & accommodating. Very quiet Clean rooms with wood floors. Comfortable beds.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. I am ridiculously mad as hell right now. We booked the hotel and we arrived to the hotel today only for them to tell us that they sold our rooms (we reserved 3) for the time being and that they couldn't accommodate us until later this evening. Mind you that we drove with my 2 elderly grandmothers all the way from Texas. I'm so mad. They also charged us for the 3 rooms until the 24th as well. I'm so dang irritated with this hotel. Now they're also trying to not refund us our money. I'm livid. Worst experience ever with this hotel.

Lobby and staff are nice and friendly. Bed was comfy, bathroom was clean w nice towels. Hotel is obviously being renovated, hall rug needs replacement and room storage wasn't finished being put together. I'm sure once finished it will be nice. It was ok for a night stay.

You must request shuttle from Airport. Staff poorly managed but the ones on the operational level are great where it counts. They're patient and hard working. Lady was working the desk and only one there for a stretch of 24 hours because people no showed and managers wouldn't help. I had another encounter as well where manager wouldn't help but as soon as they left, desk lady helped me immediately. That said, the renovations are excellent on hitting where it counts. Halls are dingy but rooms are clean and A/C works well with, and this is big for me, a constant fan. Al the parts where it's dingy though help keep the price low I imagine. Win win for me. As long as my room is nice, then have a sub par shuttle on call and dingy halls! Good renovation. With waiting over an hour for 3 out of 3 experiences of using shuttle though, missing flights and time to sleep is a big deal. 2 stars.

The hotel is a bit old and unattractive, but the rooms are surprisingly pretty. Breakfast is modest. The staff were very friendly and leave you bagged, fresh linens on the doors when you place the do not disturb sign. The kind staff are the highlight of the hotel, really. The hotel is very affordable, but you have to pay for parking nightly, and the area doesn't feel all that safe so you're kind of stuck if you want to risk parking at one of the surrounding restaurants.

Super worth it if you can get a good last minute deal through Hotwire or something like that. REALLY nice people working at the desk, helpful, and great attitudes! Well maintained, and one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in awhile. Shuttle to the airport, and no carpets in the room (which is great because hotel carpets are nasty). All in all, I had my doubts but I was very pleased!

Good from far, far from good. The rooms were upgraded, but everything else is worn. Super slow elevators, continental breakfast was out of most things. Just a tired place. I forgot my tooth paste and walked across the street to the holiday inn express for complementary tube, as my hotel had non. Next time I would stay at the holiday Inn express.

I have strayed here several times. Its a pretty decent hotel. Beds are comfy and rooms clean. Friendly staff. The hallways rugs need to be updated and the elevators are a nightmare. I had to pray they wouldn't break down every time we got on. Hate that parking isn't free when there is nothing special about the parking arrangements.

Practical. Clean. Full. Very good treatment of the staff and the driver of the transport excellent.

The food was ehh just okay. A little stingy on the beans. I'm from Los Angeles so my standard for Mexican food is a bit higher than what I received. Ordered the 19B (enchiladas) The service wasn't too great either. I had to keep asking for my waitress or waving her down to get her attention. She never once checked on me. I asked for my check and she never came back to take my money, so I had to get up and check myself out at the hostess corner. It wasn't even busy in there. Especially where I sat (the bar area). Most likely will not come back.

I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was a convenient distance from the airport. Kinda older property but well maintained. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Parking is not free. Beds are very comfortable.

I would give this place 0 stars if possible. I had to stay overnight in ATL due to missing a connecting flight and chose this place due to proximity to the airport. I called and made a reservation on the phone and hopped on to the airport shuttle. 15 minutes later I show up to the counter for the room and the woman tells me I messed up the reservation and I must have reserved it for tomorrow night. She was very rude and had poor customer service. I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes until after 1:00am with my 2 children for the reservation to "show up" in her system to no avail. I walked to the Motel 6 across the street and got a room immediately. The next day, I check my email and see the reservation I made said "no show" on it and my credit card was billed for the room. I called 6 times to talk to a manager but no manager was available and no one ever called me back. Finally I talked to the accounting staff who were nice and they gave me a refund. Other than that nice interaction this place is poorly managed and I would not recommend it.

Really nice Hotel for the price and location. The nae is a it strange, but once you go inside it is very nice. They have a little library section that you can sit in and relax and people watch because it has a glass walla round it. The Airport is one exit down and less than 5 min away. Staff was awesome and very, very helpful. There is also a good selection offood right next door.

Beautiful hotel. The room was lovely, the staff was lovely. The hotel was quite clean, and the elevator was fixed very promptly after it went out of service, which was fantastic. No mini fridge or microwave in room, but I would definitely stay here again.

Correct hotel for the night.

When I arrived at the hotel Jason checked us in and he is a great fit for the hospitality industry. He is very welcoming and an asset to the company. All the staff working while we were there were very friendly even when I expected them to be stressed out, which was at breakfast time. The pool was clean and key card access to the parking made put me at ease that my car was safe. The hotel is in a good neighborhood so my fiancee and I never were concerned for our safety either. I plan on staying here again next time I come to Atlanta!

Poor quality. The breakfast was well under good. Had to switch room because toilet was broken. Then the shower as you shower in the second room kept getting hotter and hotter as you showered. Asked for a crib which they said they offered and they brought a pack and play and the fridge leaks all over the floor. Don't think me or any of our team parents will be staying here again.

Awful customer service! It took 15 minutes to check in with no one in the line. It was difficult to decipher who was training whom because neither person seemed to be properly oriented on how to check guests in. After finally arriving in the room, it was a disabled room which was not request. Unacceptable, incompetent customer service. I will never stay at another Red Lion Hotel ever again. Absolutely ridiculous!

Has shuttle service from the airport which makes commuting to downtown is much easier. The room is not the greatest strength because the shower is small and water goes everywhere. The toilet is damaged and the floor was not very clean. The beds are at least clean and the towels changed every day if one wants. The breakfast is until 9 30 am and don't have a lot of variety of food and beverages.

Overall this hotel was very accommodating given my delayed airline circumstances. The staff was friendly, inviting and compassionate to my situation. The room was very modern and equipt with a 50 inch TV. Plugs were everywhere — no shortage of those. Check out was very smooth and breakfast was good for continental. I would definitely consider staying there again if and when I saw myself back near the Atlanta airport area.

Hands down the greatest experience I've ever had at a hotel. From the customer service, cleanliness, and amenities it's definitely one of the best in Atlanta. Convience ONLY because I was having a party at LaFiesta on that Friday My room had blood stains all on the walls even in the bathroom you could see the hand sliding down the wall as they were falling I guess idk but I asked front dest to change or have cleaned neither was done. The rates are entirely to high for the rooms and atmospheres and the security guard is no better. It was not my first time there I would stay every Friday so it seem like I would had discount or something I have not been back since that night of blood stains. It wad so hard for my daughter to sleep.

I arrived to this location on August 1st. Was told the fee for the room was 79.00 the room total was 96.00. This was the first problem but we were tired and had to catch a early morning flight. When we got to the room there was a shirt hanging on the bathroom door, and we could tell that the sheets had not been changed. We drove from Tuscaloosa. I was tired so we laid on top of the covers trying to be safe a catch some sleep. The condition of the room was no where near the fee I was charged. They have a lounge area near check in all types of attire seen, not good for young children, people were loud and drunk. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The bathroom had only 1 face towel, 2 hand towels and 2 big towels, it was 3 people in a double bedroom, where do that do that at? If they don't have hotel inspections they need to start this one would fail, don't let the photos fool you. I am to displeased and I haven't had time to write out my complaint until now!

I checked into this room on 7/27/2015. When I walked into the lobby there was no one at the desk. I waited 15 minutes and final a desk attendant came out and asked if they could help. I checked in and informed the desk attendant that I would be using the another card to pay for the room. They said that I couldn't do that and that I would have to use the card I reserved the room with. I went ahead and booked the room. Once I got to my room I did a walk through. The comforter on the bed had a big stain on it. I called the from desk and asked if they could send up another one. After 30 minutes of no one showing up I called back to the front desk and asked if someone would be coming up. The desk attendant got an attitude and said that they will be there when they get there. At that point in time I requested to speak with the night shift manager. I was told that she was the only person here. I then asked about the house keeping that was supposed to bring the comforter and she said that there was no house keeping on duty. So I was stuck with the nasty comforter. In the morning when I checked out I asked to get a discount due to the room being nasty, I was asked why I didn't call and make a complaint. I informed the day shift that I had and they then informed me that no notes were made. I would not recommend this hotel to my worse enemy.

Well at first the place didn't seem all that bad, but as soon as I walked in it felt stuffy in there I have asthma so I knew when my chest started getting tight something wasn't right. Everytime the AC came on I felt like I couldn't breathe and my eyes would water and I would sneeze. It was like I was catching a cold out of nowhere. Normally my asthma makes it seem like I'm sick but then when my boyfriend and I made noodles in the room he ended up throwing up. I told him that the top sheets didn't look clean and he didn't really want to believe me when I said I had a feeling that they don't change them because when housekeeping came in the morning and I asked the lady to change them she said " no we no change those just these" and she changed the bottom sheet and I asked her to change the pillow cases. I noticed like a stain on the sheet and it was bothering me the whole time. Another thing was the computer chair in the room look disgusting … There was white stuff on it and it was all dried up. Also I found it odd that there was so many no smoking signs yet the atmosphere was so mucky I feel like the place was just covered in mold and mildew. On top of that my boyfriend found &killed about two cockroaches in the room by the bed area. Somehow we both ended up feeling very sick and when we decided to leave still did not feel good.

I was able to check in early was about the only good thing. The "hot" breakfast advertised and pictured were 2 kinds of cereal and toast. I needed extra towels one night and front desk said they didn't have them so I asked housekeeper the next morning and they said you have to ask front desk. Will not stay here again. This was on July 9-10, 2015.
