The front desk staff was very unfriendly and rude! There are only 2 elevators and they’re as slow as snail! The air conditioner was very loud so was the outside noise. Oh, this hotel doesn’t offer late checkout, even for Diamond members. I wouldn’t recommend this place and will not stay here again.

Excellent hotel stay! The hotel is well maintained, easy access and parking, great food, nice views, right on the beach with chair rental options, excellent bar service, clean and modern rooms, large balconies, and extremely friendly staff. They followed all rules regarding Covid-19 and we felt very safe. The front office manager Julie really knows how to treat all of her guests, especially diamond members, very nicely! She made the visit extra special. I will definitely return!

YES! And the reason why, is we are sitting outside at the Mangos/ Tiki Hut and the staff have on masks! They are awesome and I appreciate how respectful you are all being to us. I would not have come, if they were not abiding by the Covid 19 rules.

Was really nice except the floors were dirty. I asked for a mop and they gave me a bissel vacuum. So Im not sure they really mop and sanitize the floors. Other then that zero problems! had a blast.

The staff and service at the hotel were wonderful! We had a beautiful, clean room. Bar and restaurant service were very good despite the crowd. Kevin, who handled the cabanas, was a pleasure. Our only real issue was with the front desk. Our room was reserved by someone who has been an Honors member for nearly 20 years. Still, we were unable to get preference (away from the elevator) or late check out. Additionally, Edward seemed more than nonchalant about a mistake bar charge of $165. He did make the correction, but no apology at all. Left us with a bad taste.

Great tiki bar on ocean. Hotel and staff nice. Margarita was good but could not drink it through stupid paper straw. Would have ordered more without that problem. Nachos were made with cheese whiz like at a football stadium. NOT what I expect from Hilton and I am in their properties 100 nights a year. Conch Republic Grill. 3 miles away. Ho there for food and drink. Much better.

The view from our room was awesome! The sunsets there are beautiful. Our meals at Mango’s located on — site were delicious. Our room was nice and clean and spacious. Definitely will be back.

Awesome hotel! We checked in yesterday. Our room has a gorgeous view of the beach, and all the staff have been very kind and helpful! Joel the concierge was exceptionally terrific — he helped us to our room with our multitude of bags with a smile and plenty of great recommendations for restaurants and things to do!

Spent our first night here, the hotel is right on the beach. The staff is great, they are all very accommodating. In the evening had drinks at the tiki bar. Breakfast was delicious and then we had a great walk on the beach.

Great views. Right on the beach. Restaurant and bar are nice. Short drive/walk to boardwalk. Rooms are clean. Fun to walk up and down the beach right from your hotel.

Really nice spot to grab a drink and meal. The tiki bar is average but comfortable. It's nice to have showers at the deck do you can clean off after playing in the sand and saltwater.

Our maid, Marina, was fantastic and super nice! The hotel staff were attentive, accommodating, and friendly. The beach towels were always stocked which is difficult to do at a beach hotel. The floors were quickly mopped up from any water — also hard to accomplish. The room was clean and roomy enough for our family of 4. There are no frills at this hotel just a pool and a beach with an on site restaurant. Breakfast is not included and no hot tub but they're very upfront about that. We were on the 6th floor with a Gulf View. It was so wonderful to wake up and see the ocean unobstructed every single morning. Cabana rentals were easy to come by. It's an easy walk down the beach to the Redington Pier. Our family really enjoyed our 3-night stay here. We will definitely be back. Parking was good but if the hotel was busier I might be afraid they would run out of spaces. We stayed during the middle of the week in early August. I don't think I would want to be here on a busy weekend.

My family and I had dinner at the Friday night grill out, food was stellar, atmosphere was perfect with hula dancers and an awesome reggae singer. The restaurant manager Kim and the wait staff were very nice and made our experience one that we will cherish for a long time. Thank you Kim and Double Tree!

We enjoyed our stay here. Hotel has traditional Florida decor in the rooms and a modern lobby. Excellent staff. Housekeeping was exceptional! Loved this place.

I travel nearly every week and stay at Hilton properties every time. This hotel deserves so many kudos! The ocean front rooms are very spacious and clean. The thing I like best is the beach chairs are just a few steps away from the ocean and the tiki bar. They had a steak buffet on Friday in which hula dancers come out right before sunset. I’m. Frequent traveler that’s all about convenience. This hotel lived up to all of my expectations. All staff whether check in, restaurant, housekeeping, and bartenders are there to serve your needs and all are so pleasant. This hotel get 5 stars from this Diamond member!

I brought my granddaughters in on Sunday night for a dessert. I don't what was going on but I was nearly ignored after being seated. I don't know who the male waiter was but we waited quite a while before he came to our table. Which in this idle time gave to friction to irrupt between the two girls. It was an awful experience. I was not staying there tho I have many times in the past. And eaten in the restaurant many times. Never have I had such terrible service.

Clean hotel, very nice staff and the location is great… Needs a bit of a makeover to the rooms. Very dated. Air conditioning is very very loud! I mean wake you up loud in the middle of the night. Bring earplugs. Restaurant is okay at best.

Handy car lot and VERY handy for the Conch Republic Bar and Grill, which is within walking distance and worth the trip alone.

If you are looking to get away and relax and never leave the resort, this is your place! I had the best experience here and absolutely loved the room, food, Tiki Bar, view and I can’t forget the amazing staff! Susan, Joel and Ian were extremely nice and helpful at the front desk. They went above and beyond and you can tell they actually care about the guests! Krystal and Darla are the best bartenders! They not only made awesome drinks but were so friendly and interacted with the guests! My fiancé and I stayed on the resort the majority of the time. It had everything we needed! We will definitely come back and stay here again! I loved it so much I want to move here! This is truly paradise! Thank you again to the staff especially the ones mentioned above for a great experience and memorable trip! See you guys soon!

We stay here every time we come. Staff is amazing and friendly. Ask for DARLA at the outside bar… she is so sweet and knows JUST what u want to drink. And the view… is AMAZING. Great value.

I just had the BEST experience, thanks to Susan, Joel, and Ivan, around the front desk. I had lost an item, seemingly on the beach, as the evening got darker. Thanks to their help, and concern (and the trusting loan of a flashlight) — — item found! Evening (and my peace-of-mind) saved! Susan, Joel, and Ivan are my personal heroes this evening — — A thousand thanks for their kindness and guidance. Such AWESOME representatives of this lovely establishment❤❤❤❤

The view and ambiance sitting on the outside deck/tiki hut is fantastic. The drinks are good, too. The food is not very good. Dinner for 4 (2 grouper tacos, grouper sandwich, meatloaf, 2 beers, 2 glasses of wine and 3 mixed drinks was $145 with tip. A little pricey considering the poor food quality. Next time I’ll just go for cocktails and the killer view!

The hotel is great. It's right on the beach with a really nice back patio tiki bar. The beds, shower, and in-room coffee service were all great. Very nice sand on the beach. Just wish they had drink service to their guests on the beach.

Did not stay at the hotel, rather, ate at Mango's. Nice Tiki Bar (outside) with average food. Good service however, good drinks and the view is awesome! Great place to watch a sunset. Take sunscreen if you're not under shade. Enjoy!

This hotel was fabulous. From the moment we checked in to our check out the staff made us feel like special guests. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating. They appeared as though they couldn’t do enough for us. We ate at the various venues on site. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Every server took the time to get to know you and make you feel welcome. The facility is also very nice as it is right on the beach. It is extremely clean. The housekeeping staff is excellent and they even give you time frames to choose from for room cleaning. The desk staff were fabulous and our room was ready for us early. This has got to be the best Hilton I’ve stayed in. We will definitely be back!

Staff was super awesome. Stayed for a single night and wanted to extend. They said my room wouldn't be available and I'd have to move. No big deal. Got a call from the front desk saying they had a cancellation and they were able to keep me in the same room I wanted to extend. Very cool of them to keep track of that. Thanks guys.

I loved this place! We had a nice room, a beautiful view and oceanfront restaurant, bar and patio. It was relaxing, as a vacation should be. There is lots to do in the area. The staff was friendly and seemed to go out of their way to ensure our needs were met. I cannot wait to return.

We have been visiting for years and love the tiki bar. Great view so close to the water. Darla and Eddie are the best, and even through we stay elsewhere now, we still visit when we are in the area to see them.

I love this place because they provide me with the exact kind of commodities I can find in my very own home. They have a bed, which I also have. They have a shower, which I also have. They have a sink and a window and some stairs and a chef, which I also have. The only thing I do not personally have is an elevator. I do live in a building with an elevator, so I guess some would say that I have one of those too. Either way, I am delighted to share many of these common items as this hotel.

Great view. Rooms are very standard. Great service attitude from all staff. It would be nice for them to get control of the beach rental services — why would they leave that to chance? Drinks were expensive. Breakfast was great! For winter stays, they should heat the pool and add a hot tub.

I had a gulf front room on the top floor. Nice hotel with great Tiki bar. Served good food fast for sit down and take out. Hotel does not offer a hot tub but should.

Went for the rooftop bar. It was so fun, bags and other yard games were available. Made the experience that much more fun. Can't beat the view either.

Wonderful breakfast to be had here… outdoor seating provides a great soundtrack of waves while enjoying a meal or drink. The hotel is just steps from the water. We loved our visit.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views. Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and helpful. Julie at the front desk and David at breakfast were especially awesome! So clean, with comfy beds. The only complaint would be no microwave.

We stayed over a week here so I am able to give a fair overall assessment. We truly had a great time. We checked in through the app and utilized the digital key as well upon arrival. We used the on site restaurant and the tiki bar and the food at both were great. We spoiled ourselves and used the room service as well which was quickly delivered by friendly staff. Everything from the room to the elevator was very clean. The staff was always busy but always had a minute to pause and ask how we were doing or how our day was or if there was anything they could do for us. Overall, we had a great time by a great staff. If you are looking for a place where you can get away from it all and never have to leave your room/resort if you don’t want to, this place is for you. Way to go Doubletree Beach Resort, we’ll be back soon.

Well-rich food and good attention.

After a long time we decided to spend another 2 nights in this (until then) great hotel. After we arrived at the reception by elevator from the underground car park, we already had a funny feeling, it was all slightly different than we knew it, it was just more unusual. The impression intensified even more when we stepped out of the lift on the 3rd floor and walked along the hallway to our room. When we were in the room it was unambiguous, the management has not invested the last few years to keep the house pleasant and "fresh. " We did not think that was a good thing, nor did we match the price we paid for the room. Well, luckily we only had 2 nights to be booked. The hotel was Sauber but just unusual. But the house just on the beach has a great location, and from our room we had a great view of the golf.
Otherwise, it can be said that the staff as a whole was very friendly and helpful. We had a short conversation with the "manager" even in the hallway about the quality of the house, again we were told that at the moment everything starts to be renovated. Unfortunately, this is too late for us. From this point of view, I can recommend the hotel for the price that is required here at all. Nor do I believe that we will ever come back here.

Everything is perfect at this Doubletree, except we wish pets were allowed. Umbrella and beach chair rental fees are more reasonable than some other hotels in area. Relaxed, family and/or couple-friendly vibe. Fantastic and helpful staff! No other feedback except to please allow small dogs.

The greatest hospitality around. Lori, Mia, Jacquelyn, Eric were fantastic individuals to be around because of their happy attitudes. Many reviews stated the hotel was dated, all hotels/condos were dated on the Gulf Blvd between St. Pete and Clearwater. The Doubletree was very clean, triple sheeted, cleaned daily, with all the amenities. No microwave in room but public access to one in the lobby. The powder sugar white sand was fantastic and we literally walked out the door onto the sand and within a few yards, the warm ocean water. Special time for us on our 44th anniversary. If you choose this hotel, be sure and walk a few blocks to the Sweet Sage Cafe and Boutique. The food is great. I highly recommend this hotel!

I wish we were able give — MINUS five stars. We will never go back to this place again and suggest you inspect before unpacking. It's been a nightmare.

My favorite hotel in the area for when I'm in town. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are nice and clean. Can't beat the view of the beach out back, watching waves crash while eating breakfast on the back patio. Breakfast buffet is actually pretty good too, food actually tastes like it was cooked fresh, and not from powder egg mix.

Terrible experience. After a 11 hour flight We arrived at the Hotel. First off we were given the wrong room. We were so tired we didn't realize it at first. On our first day we noticed that the ceiling vent for the A/C had 1/2 inch of dust on it and the filter was dirty. So we told housekeeping the next morning if she could take care of it. Wich she did. The Safe was explained was only working if you slide your credit card trough it, it wouldn't remember the numbers on it and would be free of charge. What a crock. We figured out that you can make up your own code and it works perfectly fine. On our 2 night we realized we were directly over the delivery bay for the hotel and every morning the delivery truck would arrive. At 4.30 in the morning. At 11.30 PM the gigantic cooling fans for the food storage would come on for an hour. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep. The Carpet on each floor is old and the sitting areas outdated. The Tiki bar was a joke. We ordered some drinks and the coke didn't have enough oxygen in it and the color was like light brown water. The were nice about it and got us a gift certificate for another drink and told us they would let the manager know about it. We heard other people complain about it. The reception stuff was unfriendly. Anyway, we won't be back to this hotel. It's a shame for a branch of the well known Hilton. Maybe Undercover Boss Should be having a show on about this.

Beautiful place. Awesome, helpful, kind employees… garage attendant, restaurant people, tiki bartenders. Darla and Krystal. They all helped bring together a wonderful family reunion of the 17 of us. Couldn't have asked for better hospitality. Thanks.

I wish I didn't have to put a star. Horrible manager and staff experience. We arrived on Friday, July 24th. We live in Orlando, so this was a mini vacation for us and our 3 boys. Here are the points that made this stay so horrible: 1. Online prepaid (debit/cash) reservations are not refundable? What if something happened? This policy is ludicrous and needs to be changed or adjusted. 2. Arrived around 2:45 PM and was told that our rooms (we reserved two rooms) and all room/checkins can not be done prior to 4:00 PM. No problem, until the lady next to us was given her room right away. When I asked why is her room ready and not ours, the question was avoided and answered with: "We'll contact you when your room is ready. " 3. The assumption is made that folks stay at this hotel for the beach, not for it's less than luxurious accommodations. However, because the weather can't be predicted (it stormed all weekend) we had no choice but to go to the hotel anyways. 4. On Saturday, July 25th, I asked if there was a way we could get a compensation for some other time because we decided we would check out early. We did not want to keep our 3 young boys cooped up in the hotel any longer. The hotel has no indoor activities for folks with children if the weather is bad. Of course, the manager and desk clerk automatically assumed I was asking for a "refund". I never used the word refund. I just asked if there was a way to possibly get "comped" for another future stay.

My mother was visiting Florida in October and decided to spend a couple days at the beach. When she checked in she asked the supervisor if her reservation was for two nights, the supervisor assured her it was. However, the supervisor never gave her a copy of her bill at check-in. The following day after having lunch and picking up a supplies to sit on the beach, she returned to her room and found that her key did not work. My mother went down to the front desk to fix her key, and the same supervisor was working. The supervisor advised my mother that she had checked out. Mother stated that she had not and informed the supervisor that there was no bill under her door. The supervisor said oh well, pretended to contact a manager, then offered her a different room, even tough my mother needs help moving her baggage, and offered it at a much higher rate. After a long exchange with the supervisor, my mother choose to leave the hotel completely and find a different hotel to stay at. Both night were during the week and not a weekend night. This was a huge disappointment to my mother, as she did love the atmosphere and location of this hotel. However, my mother never received an apology or an admittance from the supervisor that she may have made a mistake. Additionally, my mother feels the supervisor gouged her and took advantage of her because is a senior citizen. She is totally distressed over her treatment.

This was a fantastic hotel. From the minute we arrived until we checked out we received top notch service. Their entire staff was very friendly, eager to assist when needed and even when not needed, and made sure we were happy with our stay and able to get everything we needed. It was very clean, beds comfortable, A/C worked great, shower/tub combo extra wide, their restaurant Mangos was FABULOUS, nice inside bar and the Tiki bar was nice on the beach/pool area. Convenient Sunshine trolley pick-up in front of hotel for cheap transportation, several things in walking distance. The beach was very nice, clean, and could rent lounge chairs with umbrella from vendor on the beach $25/day seemed high. All expenses in restaurant, bars, and beach could be charged to the room instead of having to carry cash or credit cards.

I loved staying at this hotel. I stayed here with my boyfriend for vacation. The room was clean, comfortable, and of course the view of the gulf was great. I loved how you can walk right out onto the beach. Great place! I would definitely recommend this place for others to stay here. I am looking forward to another vacation here.

It was the perfect way to spend a long weekend away with my daughter. Rooms were nice and walking right out onto the beach was wonderful. The Hotel restaurant was fabulous as was walking down to the Sweet Sage. Easy to hop on the bus to go up to Clear water or down to St. Petersburg. Great stay! Everyone working at the Hotel were kind and very helpful. Definetely would Highly reccommend staying here.

It's not all about the warm cookies, but they Really help! This is a very comfortable, service minded hotel very well located. Not trying to be anything other than itself but doing that very well.
