We were celebrating a bunch of May birthdays. We were greeted with a smile, and check-in was super easy. Deb and her staff are so nice, and welcoming, and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area had a "tropical" vibe to it that we loved. We loved the retro feel of it as well. The Malibu is right across from the beach, close to restaurants, and there is the cutest little gift shop next door. Our whole group had a blast and would stay there again. Thank you Deb and your staff. Your lemon drops were amazing!

Everything was wonderful. I traveled alone for the first time, and staying with Deb and her staff made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I had a mishap at the beach and Deb and her staff took care of me like I was family. I would recommend this place to anyone, and know they would have the most wonderful time. T-bone and his bird friends were part of what made the place so home like. If the Lord is willing I will be back next May or June, and hope to stay in room 4 again.

Absolutely everything is perfect at Malibu, Debbie and her staff are always friendly and accommodating! The garden grows daily and relaxing in that garden by the pool is a daily blessing. This is why I'm a regular, it's my place at the beach.

Malibu Resort Motel is a little piece of heaven. The area is beautiful and quiet! There is a short walk to the beach right across the street! The pool is sparkling! The rooms are immaculate! The manager, Deb, makes you feel at home and does everything she can to assure you have a wonderful visit!

I found this place just driving by. So glad I did, this place is excellent. Super. Friendly staff, clean rooms, great atmosphere! They make you feel like your home. Love it here. Highly recommend!

The staff is excellent, the rooms are awesome! The best experience I have ever had at any motel or hotel in this entire great country of ours! I can not say enough great things about this place! It may be the greatest place in Florida!

I’ve stayed at the Malibu almost 10 times and every time I’m so pleased! I love the location, love the vibe and love the staff. 5 stars all day, that’s why we always come back.

Worst customer service I have ever been exposed to. Roof was leaking in Room 25 — bathtub cracked and not usable. Manager Deb had her friends in the pool making it too crowded to use. Dog feces around pool area. There was oil scum and hair floating in the pool and the filter was not working correctly. Manager allowed pool party that lasted until almost 2 a. M. We tried to discuss room issues with manager Deb and her answer was to “deal with it”
We also had the misfortune to learn from Tony who makes reservations — that they were aware the roof was leaking before he booked our reservations. Which means they knowingly put us in a room with a cracked bathtub and a leaking roof. According to Deb. They paid another guest who was staying there to patch the roof — it looked like they just put a tarp over it. To be honest as we are accustomed to staying in inexpensive places we would have been fine if there was any customer service/ kindness. There was none by Deb at all. The night time manager was kind. Unfortunately he could not make up for how rude Deb was. Really — this place is the stuff of nightmares. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else! I posted pictures as proof!

Absolutely a phenomenal weekend, early November & weather was tremendous. That wasn’t the best though, the staff woth Debbie & Calry are so hospitable and warm. The charm & beauty of this cozy motel is oozing with intimacy. We will be back more times for certain & encourage anyone to stay with this property.

Quiet area, clean rooms, friendly staff, great heated pool, right across the street from the gulf with beach access! Trolley pick up close by and restaurants within walking distance. We stayed all week and didn’t want to leave. We will definitely stay there again!

Friendly staff, rooms are nice and clean. Great prices as well. The pool is beautiful. The beach is right across the street, takes 3 minutes to get there.

The entire staff are amazing and very helpful. We came here a couple months ago and fell in love with the place. Came back for our honeymoon and loved it even more. Rooms were very clean and great price. Great location with beach access right across the street. It is very close to Clearwater and downtown St. Petersburg. We will definitely be back more!

Nice to see a place being restored little by little, than knocked down and condo built there. Sure the Malibu has its bumps and bruises but they're charming. Has a old school 60's design/feel to it. Super clean saltwater pool, and a stones throw from a great little diner that's open till 2pm.

Absolutely loved our stay! Rooms exceptionally clean & decor is charming! Super friendly and accommodating staff. Fresh coffee bar in the morning … fresh squeezed homemade lemonade poolside — it just doesn’t get any better than this! Steps away from beach access. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway!
