Great experience, beautiful space and location!

Pros: Centrally located between 3rd and 4th on Orange Avenue in Coronado. Reasonably priced, clean and adorable motel room and common area/grounds.
Cons: Tiny room. No closet or area to store large suitcases if you’re staying for a week.

Nice little hotel. We only had a very short overnight stay but it had everything we needed and allowed us to check in after the office was closed.

Nice small friendly motel. The rooms were small but comfortable, had a mini fridge and coffee making supplies. There was a nice patio area that you could sit and eat breakfast or have a drink after coming back from the beach. The owner was super friendly and let us borrow Beach equipment even though we weren't staying there the second day, she let us leave our bags there and pick them up at the end of the day, even give us a code to get into the office to pick them up if she was gone when we came back. The only ding was the street can be a bit noisy and there was not much parking on the premises (only two spaces), but we had no trouble parking directly in front of the hotel on the street. We didn't have any problem with street noise while sleeping closed in at night. Great proximity to downtown and the beach for a reasonable price.

The management is awesome and very accommodating. It's definitely a motel, nothing excitable about it. And it's a pretty far walk from the good beaches. Overall a 4 star.

Great location but little rooms not happy with the Maid that didn't do our room.

Super cute super friendly staff. My family had started here twice when visiting me. Not for those that want super huge rooms with so the bells and whistles. It's a motel not hotel. It's nice and quaint.

No frills. No bs. It’s a great location and the price is normally always very reasonable.

Although the staff was courteous, and willing to let me check in 3 hrs before official check-in time, she actually ran the charge through my credit card before I got there. And I was 3 hrs early. The floor had not been vacuumed, the furnishings were patio furniture and a low platform bed. The room was extremely small, and the property was cramped in that the walkways were barely wide enough for one person with a suitcase. I thought when I looked the motel up on-line that it was a low price point, but their reviews were strong. I don't understand how. Would not recommend.

Very nice, with an almost family atmosphere and thus quite different from the typical American motels.

Easy check in, I was just parking, and the front desk checked me in early. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful little gem on Coronado Island. Clean and friendly little hidden hideaway right in the heart of Coronado Island highly recommend!

Place was very quaint and comfortable. I was here for a drill weekend and the ease of access to the base and shops on Coronado added to the experience.

Great quaint place to stay. Don't bring more than one car if you can.

Loved it, stayed for two days, helpful and friendly staff, close to shops, we took the free bus back and forth, cute rooms, clean, only a few rooms. Book quickly, no pool, but that's ok.

I had a conference at a different hotel for the week, and I wanted to pay less. So I ended up at El rancho, which turn out to be a very nice motel, the room were very clean, staff is nice and it is right in the middle of the island, which is perfect to see all.

Fantastic place to get away from it all. Great rate.

This hotel was fairly small and not fancy, but was extremely clean and well cared for. It's only a short drive from the beach and within easy walking distance from the restaurant, bars and shopping areas. I highly recommend this as a good, inexpensive lodging option while in Coronado.

In room you cannot receive the "Complimentary Wi-Fi" signal. Management or office staff are not on site to resolve issues. Water heaters are not sufficient for this motel, as I started a shower and 2 minutes later the water went cold. There are mouse and roach traps underneath the beds. (Thankfully empty though. ) The upkeep of this motel needs to be addressed, the floors need a through cleaning as the grout between the tiles is black and crumbling. Dust piles need to be cleared from behind the door and the toilet seat was not cleaned prior to check-in with urine streaks and a non-hygenic hair welcoming me to the unkempt restroom. Cleaning crew: please do your job. Electrical is not sufficient in this facility, the management has multiple taps off of a single outlet and when the micro fridge turns on, the lights dim. DO NOT waste your money here! Sorry this was harsh, but true.

Affordable, clean and quiet motel in a very small authentic town called Williams. It's a 10-minute scenic walk to the train/shuttle stop that takes you to Grant Canyon. Enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Love it here! A perfect place to stay for a romantic getaway. The staff is incredibly warm and attentive:) A 5 min walk to the best view of the san diego skyline you could possibly imagine. Go for drinks at Little Club and breakfast at Gustatory. Book this place as fast as you can.

Check in with a note on office door never saw anyone from the facility. Room was okay but had problem with the shower.

Poorly run motel. Nobody working the desk the entire weekend we stayed. An envelope with room number taped to the door was considered a "check in". The walls are paper thin, could hear drunk neighbors come home at 2am as if they were in our room. Internet access was patchy with problems accessing sites. When called to report via the phone outside the office, we were told to reset the modem and trouble shoot it ourselves. By the 4th call, management offered to call the internet service provider. My expectations were not to have 5 star service, but I did expect to have some service and assistance when we reported problems. I would not recommend staying here. While it has the potential to be a nice little place to stay, the foundation of customer service is missing entirely.

Very clean, decorated very well, courteous front desk, secure setting. Room was well priced ultra modern and offered cable, microwave and refrigerator all decorated very tastefully. I travel all over and this was the best and most clean motel I've seen in this price range. Highly recommended by me…

Certainly above-average accommodations within my room (#4), ceiling fan! wahoo, but it was difficult to find someone that was watching the property, so I felt pretty unsafe the whole time. First, the guy across from 4, who appeared to be a long-term resident staring me down as I entered the property. Then much worse, the next morning, a young man nicely dressed in slacks & white shirt, w/ name tag for a service industry, came through banging on doors (waking me, which was hard to get over), cursing, and yelling for "Eddy". Two residents confronted the man, and the man verbally abused them, but then thankfully left in a grayish full-sized Acura-like auto. I would have much preferred to have a watch-person in the office (which was empty before 10am and after 5pm). Otherwise, also great location and street parking was never an issue (during week days). I was in town for ACSM conference at San Diego Conference Center.

Wow… just going through some old files. Used to stay with Dora and her daughter Cecelia Leith back in the early 80's. This was home away from home for weary technicians from Pax River. Have such pleasant memories with these ladies!

El Rancho is an amazing place, with 10 rooms it's very peaceful and quite, it is very cozy and refreshing. The room was super clean with a fridge, microwave, TV, coffee and iron. The manager Irene is super lovely and the hospitality was amazing. Steps away from grocery stores, pharmacy, theater, cafes and gas stations. About 15 minutes away from amazing beaches and sights. Everyone is friendly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend everyone to do so :)
