Coronado inn is what appears to be a quaint and quiet inn on the surface, but it's barely able to qualify as room and board especially being that Coronado island is a destination location in California during the travel and tourism season. The rooms are full of mildew and mold in many areas. There is dirt and hair all throughout the room, especially the bathroom. I took a damp cloth and wiped the top of the tank for the toilet, as well as the arms of the toiletpaper holder (just because they looked so dirty that I couldnt let my wife see them that way) and my cloth was dark brown almost black just from the surface dirt that easily wiped away. There are no vending services onsite what so ever aside from a few sodas in a fridge at the office. The ice machine is behind a locked door that your keys are never programmed to open. The television remotes dont work and the tv's are single button units so you have to learn the sequence for that on button if you want to control things other then off/on. Also, oddly enough, they serve breakfast on some makeshift cabinets next to the pool which feels very grimy and just gross. Along with that, the company incorrectly informed us of their billing practices and caused an unexpected hold and charge on our acct, which was inconvenient due to normal financial industry practices that basically locked that card all week.

Staff here is so nice to people. Affordable hotel room for such a charming Island!

I love the coronado inn! We got it for a great price and it’s close to the beach and all the other fun stuff here. The staff is so sweet, my mom needed a fan and he gave us his personal fan and helped us with everything. Love this place.

Great location at an amazing price…

Just the right place. Located close to the ferry landing, easy to find. Limited parking but just enough for guests. Bike rental on site and friendly staff.

It is the most affordable hotel in the area, a little less than 200, the rest were a lot more. One of the rooms was remodeled the other no. I was not fan of the smell, but it was clean and within walking distances. It was “breakfast “, just some pasties like the ones you find at Costco. Not great but close to everything.

Very nice place with a good size kitchen. Friendly staff, very helpful. The lack of parking is abit of an inconvenience.

Older motel, very clean & convenient. You can walk to restaurants, a small beach, & a walking path with beautiful views of the city. Affordable.

We stayed in one of the Family Rooms that was spacious and a good deal. The staff was very friendly. The refrigerator in our kitchenette was not functionimg at all. The cleanliness was decent. The provided breakfast was ok, could is more protein.

I like the location it’s very beautiful and very cross to the beach.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed at. I have literally stayed at $40 hotels that put this place to shame. Everything in the room is run down, broken, dented, chipped, crooked or just plain ugly. For starters… the guy at the front desk was a total A hole. AND the place is $160 dollars a night. Not a terrible price for a decent hotel. This is not the case. Upon entering the room we discovered that the bed frame is too large and it blocks the door so you have to shoulder the door to open it. It was hot and humid upon entrance. The ac is crudely installed in the wall and sounds like a freight train. The beds are super hard. The fridge is badly dented and wobbly. The furniture is worse than anything I have ever seen at good will. The bed frame is cracked. The bathroom fan sounds like a blender full of marbles. The shower is barely big enough to turn around in and I'm not a big person. There's no shelves or racks for shampoo so you have to either hold it or put it outside the shower because you cant bend over to put it on the shower floor. The ceiling fan is wilted like a dying flower. Stains on the bathroom linoleum. Parking is horrendous. I could go on but I'm tired and have work early in the morning lol… Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere other than here. I took pictures that I will try and post on Yelp or something.

Only stay if on a budget. The front desk clerk that assisted us never smiled and looked like she was just trying to get us out while another clerk tried to avoid us at all costs. There was one employee that was really friendly (reason for adding a star) — he was a younger man and really tried to help us with any questions. As for the room itself, it looked like it wasn't cleaned. I had to get rid of a few spiders and constantly be on watch for ants as they would crawl out over the desks.

This is by far the worst hotel ever. My wife and I stayed in room 50. The entrance door is cracked, there are holes in the wall, paint is chipping off the walls, I was able to see daylight shining through the wall around the air conditioning unit. There isn't even a soap holder in the shower. And the room had an old stale odor. Never again.

The Coronado Inn is a fantastic place to stay if you are stopping in for a couple of days. Within a 5 minute walk you have a brewery, a burger joint, an awesome dive bar and some other places to get food. I was staying over the weekend, and needed to extend my checkout time, which they did without any trouble. My friend were competing in a triathlon, and even though we were past our checkout time, they let us go back into our room, shower and change out of our dirty clothing. I only have good things to say about the Coronado Inn, and would recommend it to anyone.

I have been going to Coronado for years! I have always stayed at the Coronado Inn. Its Quaint Charm makes the perfect place to stay while enjoying your vacation in San Diego. It’s centrally located within walking distance to the Ferrylanding and all the Restaurants! The rooms are spacious, very clean with all the amenities you may need. There is a wonderful continental breakfast at the pool area in the morning. The staff is friendly, helpful, professional and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a memorable stay. Thank You Coronado Inn for making my vacation Fabulous!

This has to be by far the worst hotel that I have ever stayed on we stayed toward the end of July! Rooms, staff where the worst! After emailing management 2 times with out a response I see where the staff gets there customer service from! You would be better off sleeping in your car! I will post pictures tommorrow!

We love this place! We've spent the last two Fourth of July holidays there! The accommodations and staff are great! The parade goes right by the front of the hotel on the 4th. They serve a continental breakfast every morning and have bottled water and coffee available all day long! We are happy to have made this place part of our family vacation!

An okay place hampered by a completely indifferent staff and totally inept, unprofessional "management". A fish rots from the head and I suspect it's all a reflection of the ownership.
