We enjoyed our 4day/4night stay at the resort. There are several amenities on resort and it's a great location. There were several safety precautions in place and the entire resort was very clean. Walking distance to restaurants, local brewery and the ferry. The on-site restaurant is amazing and the bartenders are fun! Would definitely return to this Marriott!

The staff has treated us so well! They’ve gone out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. The food is beyond excellent. From the catering for the AAPF conference to the that served in the restaurant, it’s going to be hard to say goodbye. And speaking of the restaurant… I ate there four times on this trip and they were all excellent. The staff engaged me in conversation and took great care while I worked and ate, and then when my daughter joined me they asked about our trip. We mentioned we were doing college tours and on our last night they delivered a fruit bowl and snacks to our room. It was so thoughtful, she’ll always remember this place. I’m hoping the treat will give us good luck on the admissions process! I can’t say enough good things about this place. The bell staff were incredibly helpful and friendly as well. And the bathtub? The. Best. Ever. Thank Marriott staff!

Beautiful property built when hotels were a luxury. Very spacious rooms. Updates on property plus size of rooms give this hotel a unique quality. Nice views from all over property. Staff has been amazing each time I've visited. Food is wonderful — go see Santiago at the omelet and waffle station!

Honestly, this has been the best resort I have ever stayed at. The doormen we’re always smiling and kind from the moment I arrived. The grounds are immaculate and the view is breathtaking. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and relaxing. The service is phenomenal. I was always greeted with a smile and with kind words by staff. The housekeepers attention to detail we’re noted and they we’re always very polite, especially Juana. I have zero complaints. I have never met a better staff than I did here! From the doormen, pool staff, drivers, housekeepers, maintenance and front staff; nothing short of amazing. Thank you again for an amazing stay. I can’t wait to return.

This Hotel is amazing. In great location, rooms are clean, comfortable beds. Beautiful views. I didn't stay but my family did for my wedding. I got ready there, and had a dress malfunction, and was running late for my wedding! We were going to take two trips to and from the wedding ceremony because we had a lot of people. But due to the problem with my dress we were running late and all had to leave together we didn't have enough room in the car and I was walking out with my dress unzipped. In front of the hotel the valet lady helped me and was able to get my dress zipped, they also got us a luxury car to take us to the wedding ceremony. They were so wonderful and I thank them so much! I wish we would of got their names. I hope to come back.

Very dated Marriott. I guess they are planning to update the patio and pool area this fall but honestly for what they charge this should have already been done. The whole structure is dated. Not just the patio. Check out the doors to enter the lobby. Really? CHEAPEST ROOM FOR July next year? $528 for a king bed, PLUS 30 resort fee PL$S taxes so…. Over $600/night. That takes a lot of nerve. They won't get me paying that amount. Fortunately there are far better options available on Coronado. And that is where I will be.

Great resort to stay at in Coronado. They offer many amenities on the property that is both family friendly and for adults as well. They have a pool for all to enjoy with a view of the water and the skyline. In the back area, they have a wellness center that has yoga classes, workout equipment, sauna, lap pool, tennis courts and bikes. I would recommend getting the bikes and taking their recommended path around the island. It can be done in about 45 minutes. Another great feature of the Coronado island is that you can easily take a ferry into the Gas Lamp district or ride the free shuttle around the island during the summer time. This is a great place to unwind.

Very comfortable and nice hotel. Nice atmosphere with a great set up. Had drinks at the bar which we good. Price is a little above average. Fire pits next to the pool and jacuzzi outside. Would definitely return here again.

This is a super nice resort! I stayed for a work conference, but when I go back, I'll be staying again. Great staff and great options within the resort, plus, there is a lot to do right around here within walking distance. This is a great place to stay! I'll be back for sure.

I love this place! Stayed here first due a work event, then came beck several times for pleasure. Coronado is beautiful and this is a great place to stay on the bay side of the island. While you do not have direct beach access, it is a close drive and you are away from the most crowded area of the island. Yet, you still have plenty readily close and ths main strip is not a far walk. The resort is well kept and very clean. Hey, one tip… watch out for that steep resort fee!

My wife, son and I had the pleasure of staying overnight at the resort last weekend for our 21st wedding anniversary. It was the best decision we've made since we decided to get married. The staff were courteous, attentive and helpful, and our meal at Current & Tides Restaurant was world class — kudos to chefs Michael Poompan and Aaron Obregon for creating a Pan-Pacific informed menu that appeals to a wide variety of diners. We were told that the check in, reception, bar area and pool deck are getting a serious renovation later this year, which will help modernize some of the public spaces. We're already thinking of excuses to visit again soon!

Great location. With in walking distance to restaurants and a few small beaches. Also not very far from the main Beach at Coronado. Rooms were also very clean and spacious. I will be coming back to the hotel many times to come.

Spent a night there for our anniversary. Ground floor room was large, clean, a short walk to all the amenities and had a great view of the San Diego skyline from the private patio. We had all of our meals at the restaurant. Food and service were excellent. Breakfast buffet was a little pricey but the choice is worth it if you have a good appetite. Made use of the included bike rental to burn off some of the calories afterwards.

Very family friendly, and nice modern rooms. Convenient to locations on Coronado island, but have to make a crossing otherwise. Kids will love the pool. You'll also see military helicopters always flying nearby due to the naval air station nearby.

Beautiful view of the San Diego skyline, and a wonderful staff that had such a positive attitude. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The pool was awesome. You could spend an entire trip at that pool and be pleased. Everything was top notch except the ridiculously high priced menu items offered for room service.

Excellent location. Very nice rooms. Lots of little shops and places to eat within walking distance. Access to ferry to downtown within walking distance. Only reason it's not a 5 is because of the insane mark-up on snacks and drinks. Pro tip: the vending machine Gatorade is $2.50; at the gym? $5.

I have been the DJ/emcee and officiant for many weddings here. We also also had our friends and family stay. We have always had a great experience. The views of San Diego are amazing!

The hotel is great! Coronado is beautiful. Can't blame the hotel, but Coronado's night life is brutal. Good thing San Diego is just across the bridge. Love that you can rent a bike for a couple hours for free at the hotel. Super fun beach cruise.

Great place and everyone was nice and helpful. Room was perfect for my dad and I. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The restaurant was good, not great, but way over priced. We would stay here again if we ever make it to San Diego again.

My wife and I stayed their this week for a short get away. Upon checking in the staff was amazing and very helpful. We had a great suite with an amazing view of San Diego and the Coranado bridge. We spent some time at the pool, which had great views and was very relaxing. The resort is with in walking distance of the board walk, beaches and great resturaunts. Overall, had a great stay and will stay again.

The location is great and I got a King room that also had a patio with a view of the bridge and downtown San Diego. Easily accessible to Gaslamp. I stayed two nights with meetings at the Del in Coronado and I preferred this Marriott. The Del is on the beach, but it's crazy expensive and super jam packed. At the Marriott, you can relax. The Wi-Fi was good and the service was too. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic views of San Diego and Coronado. It is right on the pathway that goes throughout the island. Service was great and it has recently been renovated to my understanding. Loved my room!

They look very accommodating the facilities but I have not stayed.

Stayed for two nights. Room was nice and well laid out. The front desk gave me a room with a view of the bridge and harbor. Comfortable bed. Bathroom needs upkeep and the shower and bath needed repairs. Nice veranda. Sadly, the weather was not good! Nice gym and tennis courts. Outdoor dining by the fire pit was also nice. Overall, a good spot. Nothing too fancy but certainly serviceable.

Glad to be changing my review to one star after several days of watermelon water being served at the front of the lobby — it's Black History month, and guests are greeted by GIANT SLICES of watermelon in the water served right at the entrance of the hotel. Having said that… Connected by water taxi and ferry to the city center of San Diego, and very close to the bridge, so it's a great option for the traveller looking to see more than just the city center while at the Convention Center on business. Staying here avoids the traffic on the island which is mainly on Orange Street and adds considerable commute time getting on and off island to your hotel — but you can literally walk to all kinds of waterfront options for eating out right along the waterfront. Full service hotel with a spa and gym, and outdoors along the waterfront you have better views of San Diego than you do anywhere else with no noise and a small town vibe after dark, unlike downtown San Diego and of course there are long, wide beaches on the other side of the island, as well as a short stroll along the boardwalk to some nice smaller beach areas.

Nice rooms good view of the bay. Be aware of the parking. We parked for 20 min to unload and was told it was completely… I was charged 10$ to leave the lot AND a 31 dollar fee for parking was on the bill! We did not have a car with us after the drop off. Watch your bill sneaky charges may be a problem here.

I've had family that's stayed here and had nothing but great experiences. Clean rooms with beautiful views. The food in the hotel is also good. There's a little walking path right off the hotel that's also great to walk around during the day or at night.

You know, at the end of the day you want something not too fancy, not too much and cooked properly made to order. The steak and the service was great. Charred rare is an easy order to render less than perfectly but these folks did it right! Such a pleasure. Nice atmosphere and setting. Thank you for the meal. Just right!

The staff was incredibly professional, accommodating, cordial and extremely nice. They were very attentive and in point my entire stay. The surrounding location is mind blowing and very picturesque. If you pay the resort fee, you are able to check out bikes to ride around the island. My room had a plush king sized bed and a bathtub with an adjacent shower both of which were to die for and extremely luxurious. Housekeeping regularly refilled my towels and kept my room tidy if need be. The wait staff was on point 24/7, had a positive attitude and were a pleasure to encounter. There are flamingos and other wildlife that you can also encounter on your stay.

I absolutely loved every bit of this place. From the friendly and helpful staff to the beautiful resort and everything in between, it was like a dream. :)

My brother just got married here. The views of the San Diego Skyline were awesome. I love seeing the jet skis go by and walking along the waterfront. Rico and a woman who's name I can't remember did a great job of organizing the wedding and the reception. Good night time views or even better.

Great location, in walking distance from the Coronado ferry landing. Parking is a little expensive ($31 a night). Pool and pool area are nice. The hotel area is also nice, with pools of water and plants throughout.

Great place to relax and get out of the weekend! The attention is exceptional.

Harbor view room was gorgeous. Pool was nice and had live entertainment. Fun bar also near the pool. Room was spacious with shower and tub. Nice balcony. Parking was not free, and did not have queen beds, but had a pull out in the room.

Location is walking distance to restaurants and stores. Hotel has a spectrum of activities for guests to enjoy, along with free bicycles to use if you stay as a guest which can be handy for traveling while taking in the scenery. The two rooms that we've gotten has windows that cam be looked through by passerbys. Rooms have a few outlets that also have two USB ports for up to four devices each outlet. Pretty nice for someone who has lots of devices such as cameras or a laptop. So far, experience has been pretty nice!

Great place to stay with a family. The area has many different restaurants and things to do. The resort has a pretty nice workout facality and it also has a free shuttle that goes to the beach daily. If you do not mind walking a little over a mile you will probably get there faster since the shuttle makes frequent stops.

I came here for a business trip. I was blown away by the gorgeous atmosphere. I truly felt as if I was on vacation. The whole hotel had a very tropical look and feel. They had real flamingos. The room was very spacious and beautiful. Very high class design. It had a porch that had a direct view of the pool, bay, and the bridge to the island. While the hotel is expensive, the experience is worth the cost.

The Coronado Marriott is not only a beautiful hotel, but the rooms were fantastic! This place is well worth the money. Beds were very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel to all.

I'm staying here on points — — a lot of points — — so I've been evaluating based on paying a full rate. And points don't get rid of the daily resort fee, which goes on my credit card. I chose this property literally only for the flamingos on site. Those get an A-. They were there and visible but not in an area that was comfortable for relaxing. Also not relaxing was how much outside noise came inside our room. The rooms open to outdoor hallways/atriums, so echoes were abundant. Otherwise, our room was large and had a great thermostat and TV. Staying on this part of the peninsula versus the beach part was no problem. Walking, bicycling, and riding a free summer shuttle were easy options to get to restaurants and the beach.

Wonderful service at this particular Marriott. While I'm not staying here​ and cannot comment on the rooms, we are attending a meeting/convention at this location and the staff have been nothing but friendly and helpful. Their grounds are attractive and well maintained, and it's kind of fun to check out the live pink flamingos on property. I got to use their gym (thanks to a guest and the acceptance of the nice desk person) and I have to say the equipment is very clean and up-to-date. As an avid gym goer the things to be aware of are that free weights go up to 50lbs max, and there's no real shot of doing barbell exercises, besides a Smith machine. However, there is a large, empty room upstairs, seemingly for classes, where you can do various movement-based exercises.

Resort is very nice. Easy to get to and in and out of. Pool is great and the views over the bay make you never want to leave. A short drive to the beach that is full of white sand and plenty of sun.

A very relaxing, comfortable atmosphere for all guests, even if not using the spa. The rooms are spacious and inviting. The bay views are hit or miss depending on location, but the balconies are still enjoyable.

I Love this hotel! when I was there they went above and beyond my travel needs diffidently would stay there again. It feels like you are in the middle of no where but you are not your just mins away from downtown San Diego and San Diego international airport. The location was beautiful and right on the water. I only ate breakfast there and it was delicious. There are other food establishments in walking distance if you don't want to pay the hotel food rate. Rooms were very spacious, clean, and modern. Wish I could have stayed longer to take advantage of the actual resort.

We were given one of their newly renovated rooms. The room was new from the ceiling to the floor. The electric outlets even had USB connections. The view was amazing, with the view of the Coronado bridge.

A lot of renovations going on, which is a good sign because the place is starting to look very dated. They manage to keep all the noise during the day but navigating the hotel is difficult. The service has been great. Looking forward to seeing the place after renovations are completed.

Great hotel. I come out every year for a work conference. Only a couple blocks away from shopping and easy access to the ferry to downtowb. Only improvement (minor) : The tvs in the rooms are a little out of date, the analog picture comes in fuzzy.

The room was nice and big, but a little old. We had a perfect view of San Diego, it was beautiful! The pool was great and the pool staff were very nice and brought your drinks and food to you. Be prepared to have some begging ducks and to swim with them lol. You have to either drive or take a cab to the other side of the island. Parking on the street isn't expensive at all, where we parked, it was one quarter for an hour! Every single one of the staff members we encountered were very nice and helpful! They have bikes to rent but they are expensive, we think as well is the parking. It is also an easy drive into San Diego. We would definitely stay here again.

Great staff and great location.

We and our guests stayed here for our wedding. The reception was not here but nearby. Everyone liked their rooms and there were no hiccups with anyone's reservations. The pool has great city views and the property is very nice in general. Definitely recommend getting a suite.

Great place, full of history.

Beautiful location, great food and excellent service. There are lots of restaurants nearby as well. Bring or rent a bike, there is plenty to explore. My family found the hotel to be awesome. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the food. We will be back.

Nice place, however the cab company they use is 20% more expensive than the one I caught from the airport. That aside, the hotel is very nice.

Me and my husband recently celebrated our 4 year anniversary in Coronado Island, San Diego, CA. Our trip had a rough start because the room we book and another hotel was horrible! The next day I told my husband I did not want to spend our anniversary in that hotel because it was going to put a grey cloud over our trip. How can you be romantic in a room so drab and depressing? Any who. We began to drive around Coronado Island and ran into the Marriott Resort and Spa and we were so happy we did. The front desk supervisor (Brandon Moore) was very pleasant and professional. He gave us a room with a view after we told him about our rough start, and that we were celebrating our anniversary. The bell men and valet guys were also helpful in recommending places to eat and go during our visit. Rosario at the Spa was delightful, energetic, polite, and professional to say the least. We rented bikes from her everyday we were there. She was always very helpful. House keeping was always attentive and polite. The bar tenders at the pool were also very nice. I mean this trip was definitely one of the best we have taken, and we have found our hotel to stay at whenever we visit Coronado/San Diego. We already made reservations for this summer with the kids! Great location, great amenities, professional and polite staff, pleasant service, yummy pina coladas and margaritas, and beautiful grounds. By the way.

My family and I stayed here in March, hotel, grounds and pool beautiful. Loved the bike/walking paths. Major con for what we paid was no free wi fi. All in all nice stay.

We stayed last year for Spring Break visiting family. Great location, walking distance to a supermarket and fast food (and the hospital if you need it), easy access to downtown. Rooms are good size, and there are nice decks. The pool area is relaxing and good for a couple of hours each day. There is a nice boardwalk along the bay. The beach is in the other direction, a couple of miles away, but a quick car ride. The gym/club facilities are very good. Other options on the island are limited in this price range. There's the Loews, which has better beach access, but it is about five miles down the spit and somewhat remote.
