The African American lady at the front desk was amazing. She made my day. Her professionalism, her empathy, her customer service is incredible. I reccomend the Hilton suites. I have found me another good location because of her. She deserves a promotion.

Horrible front desk service. They wrongly charged the room bill on a card and even when we could get through on the phone lines, they have still not credited the correct card and charged the one we gave them! The phone just rings and rings. Wrote a review on Tripadvisor and the General Manager of this hotel wrote to email someone else to take care of it. The General Manager! Take some ownership and fix your personnel problem and get someone to answer the phones and check people out appropriately!

This Hotel is such a nice property. Close to everything good service and all on spot. The restaurant has good offerings and I recommend this long beach hotel for short stays.

This is a good place to stay! It's a really nice hotel and it's close to many things. We we pulled in, we literally walked everywhere. Meals, shopping, the Queen Mary, the beach. And the aquarium is right down the street also. This is a prime spot!

Hilton long Beach is located in downtown Long Beach. We stayed in room 1112, one of the few rooms with a small balcony. It over looked the pool deck and the ports of Long Beach. The TV in our room would disconnect from the signal while we were flipping through the guide. The ice machine on our floor was out of order. And the pool was small, located above the valet port. It was 2.5 — 3" deep, disappointing. Nightlife and restaurants was 13 min walking distance. There is a small lounge in the lobby. Staff was friendly.

Pool has green algae in it. The pool is 3 feet at its deepest (the site says you can swim laps in it — only if you're a toddler). Gym is smaller than my home gym and has less equipment. Knobs on jacuzzi are dry rotting. Balcony's are the size of a slice of New York pizza. The ice room barely has enough room for the ice machine. None of the elevators were working on our first day. Oh yeah when we checked in we had to wait until 530p (check in time was at 3p) for them to clean the room. Shuttle driver Miguel was nice though. I literally would have had a better stay at the Travelodge around the corner. At least it's attached to the Breakfast Bar.

The hotel is beautiful, and the room is nice. You need a key card for everything though. You need a key card to get to the pool, and to get up to the rooms. My key card fell out of my pocket at the pool, and I could not get back out to the pool to get it, or use the elevator to get up to the room. The front desk could not help me because I did not have my ID (it was j the room). They offered to take me to my room when the line of (no joke) 12 people deep was done. Luckily I ran into someone else from our group who took me back to the pool to get my key. Also the elevator is weird. The buttons don't like to work, and the elevator does not always go up to the right floor.

We went for a dinner dance and the place is beautiful and fancy. The food was good bathrooms were clean. I didn't stay in a room. But my friend said the rooms were clean and good. We got 5 star treatment at a 3 star hotel.

I stayed at the Hilton while attending a conference. The hotel was nice and the rooms were clean. The house keeping staff on the 8th floor we're very friendly. On a personal note. What happened to hotel beds being comfortable. I'm sure I remember them being so comfy and cozy. Anyway I was so ready to go home to my own bed. Don't get me wrong I have a firm bed as well but wow the bed in my room was like sleeping on a ROCK. My back and ribs hurt so bad and I feel like I woke up every morning more exhausted then the day before. Now it's not just at this hotel I stayed at another hotel back in April (Not a Hilton) and those beds were awful too. However my over all experience was good the the food was excellent and the service was very good.

Only giving three stars because the bed was quite comfy! A bit rundown. They need more help. We had a very nice server in the bar but poor guy had to do the work of 3!

Room service is excellent. Staff is pleasant. Hilton honors really get the special treatment. You get free Wi-Fi and text messages from staff to make sure you're comfortable during your stay. I was not very happy being next to an elevator box, because I got woken up at 5 in the morning every day, but the staff offered a different room, so I'm still giving them 5 stars. Jairo is one of the restaurant staff and he genuinely wants to make sure that you're satisfied with everything and that you have everything you need. He's very attentive, which many patrons appreciate, especially when I had somewhere to be. He truly makes the dining experience. Jennifer, the manager, is willing to address your concerns at your table if you have any, or of course, your compliments.

We were here for a cruise and stayed the night as we did all the times leaving out of long beach. Room was spacious but the beds were hard in my opinion. Being a HGVC owner this place isn't bad. It could be a better property.

Parking is a nightmare and they charge $20 for it. The elevators in the parking garage are broken, so you're forced to take the stairs. Obviously not handicap accessible. The hotel is aware of the elevator situation, as the staff wrote on pieces of paper with marker telling guests to take the stairs. My husband & I went to their restaurant for food and cocktails. Fish tacos were NASTY. Super chewy and stale. Alcholic mixed drinks were very weak and incredibly expensive. Room was decent; the bed is very firm. Everything else was nice and what you would expect. I'm not one to put in reviews, but this was worth my time to forewarn others.

The worst service I have never seen, especially for the price. Our room was booked 3 weeks before the travel with 2 queen beds for our couple and 2 kids. After 5 long hours drive from Vegas, we checked in at 11pm (regular check in time at 3pm) and there was only 1 bed. I came talk to the front deck manager they don’t have any 2 beds room vacant. They decided to keep silent instead of call us ahead nor be honest with us at the check in time. I asked for either change our room or give us an extra room as long as we have2 queen beds for the family. They denied to solve the problem, only agreed to add a roll away bed which fit for 1 person. I asked the night shift manager that who in 4 of us should sleep on the floor and he threatened me that he would cancel my reservation at the midnight. Me and wife ended up had a night on the floor. To Hilton management, it was horrible and unacceptable.

I went here and had a great time in their ballroom with my dance group. I didn't here any complaints from friend's who stayed at the hotel. I like that it was easy to get to from freeway and easy to get back on freeway from it's location. I ate at its bar area and enjoyed the food. The price wasn't bad. They charge for parking but you could get an hour with valet free or for a small cost less than $5.00 if you stay a little longer. That wasn't bad at all. The hotel staff and valet people were very helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel at a great location in Long Beach California. The lobby and reception is very stylish. The hotel bar is a popular place for a variety of people. The rooms are well-appointed. Building Maintenance could be a bit better. My room was above average but could use a bit of updating.

We were very inexpensive for 9 days at the Long Beach Hotel. However, I am blinding the factor price in this rating as many other hotels have been similar to cheap.
At the time of travel, the hotel had just lost its license to bear the name Hilton. For reasons of unobserved standards. This has been absolutely comprehensible to us.
For Egyptian conditions (increasing tourism decline) The hotel was well attended.
Our room, however, was good with sea views. The size was appealing, cleanliness OK, but on closer look improvement. The bathtub/shower permanently clogged. Otherwise large flat TV (only ZDF reception), older furniture.
Other rooms to the garden or pool side (total 1200 rooms) were smaller and less appealing from the outside.
The highlight of the hotel is the pool area. Which was really beautiful, garden full of blooming flowers. Unfortunately, the pools, contrary to the description, were not heated. The pools were halfway clean. Little chlorine. For everyone there was always a couch that was very comfortable.
On the beach we were barely, because we felt this unspectacular. There were plenty and also wind protection there.
The food was below average in the main restaurant. We didn't do it. Mostly too dry, dull, slightly seasoned or lukewarm. Especially the desserts were dry. We had a lot of stomach and bowel problems.

Water rarely stays hot for showers, over priced food, elevators are terrifying — like, genuinely terrifying. They creek the entire time, move extremely fast, the doors open before the elevator stops moving. You also need a key to operate the elevator, but for some reason, every time you use your key to work the elevator, it messes up your card, and you end up having to go downstairs to fix your card. Mind you I’m writing this review after a 4 hour drive to up north, then back down in the same day. I’m sitting on the floor, in front of my door, exhausted, uncomfortable, waiting for my travel companion to bring the “thrice-fixed-key” and save me from this ugly carpet. Also the parking fees gave me so shocked. It’s not that we were on a budget, but being an hhonors member, and staying well into the double digits of Hilton hotels, this is by far, the absolute worst place. This hotel ruined my short vacation. If you’re gonna spend this kind of money, go to an Embassy Suites — complimentary made to order omelettes, pancakes, and waffles. Comp bar, beautiful rooms, amazing staff, restaurant… just better. Giving one star because the pillows are comfy.

Nice hotel but the service was bad. The water from the shower won't drain so the whole bathroom floor was covered with water. I called front desk and they didn't sent anyone until an hour later. Another issue was the people staying next to our room was having a crazy party and very laud music. Very disrespectful people. I had to call front desk several times to complain.

Hilton Long Beach is a beautiful hotel with a great conversation center. We were there to see a dance competition event that was very entertaining. Family members had a room at the hotel that was spacious and had a great view of the Long Beach Harbor.

Very chic. Good food but the service at the restaurant is slow.

First I am a Hilton Honors Gold member and have been a very loyal Hilton customer when traveling. Second, it is very rare that I cancel a reservation and I have always been able to do so within 24 hours. I called to cancel a reservation within 24 hours of check-in and was told that I needed to do it within 48 hours or a 1 night cancellation fee would be charged. I asked if this could be waived and was told "no". It did not matter how good a customer that I have been to Hilton. At least at this location, loyalty means nothing.

Rooms were nice, clean and comfortable beds. Be careful which room you reserve because if it says breakfast included that means no free breakfast. The breakfast served in the room is too pricey for the meal you get. The breakfast at the lounge is less and much better.

Beautiful Hotel. Super recommended.

This is a very modern and clean hotel. The staff is excellent. It's walking distance to downtown but they offer a shuttle which is very convenient.

There were wonderful views, spacious rooms, plentiful electrical outlets, and comfortable beds. It is a little complicated if you bring a vehicle as parking is in a garage with entrance on the side of the building, along with monthly customers. I had to park in the lower levels on the left right after entering the garage and had luggage and bags to bring with me up an incline, across the lanes to the area that wasn't blocked off, and then walk some more to get to the elevator to the lobby. Then I had to walk across the lobby to the hotel elevator. I wouldn't have minded except for everything I was bringing with me. They do offer valet service, which is obviously what I should have done. The room was very clean, digital keys can be used here, and there are rooms with small balconies. There's a pool and hot tub which I didn't use due to my short stay, but I wish I had had some time as the patio area was much better than standard hotels.

The hotel is beautiful. The lobby is very fancy. The rooms are nice. I expected the rooms to be a little nicer. They have mini fridges, good choice of coffee in the the coffee bar. They have a nice bar downstairs. The staff is helpful. They have 3 types of breakfast. They have room service. Very nice overall.

Good business hotel. Stayed on recent overnight trip. Room was solid. It's been about a year since my last stay and seems to have worn well. Buffet breakfast was pretty standard fare, but was clean and everything tasted fine. Don't love the parking garage. The spaces are pretty narrow and the spaces for hotel guests are pretty limited. Overall a good stay which is what I'd expect from a Hilton.

The Hilton Long Beach was very nice, well kept and provided easy access to the freeway. It is fairly close to places to eat. Note that the area is more of a downtown bordering one of the largest ports in the US, so this is not a Beach resort hotel by any means. Good surfing beaches are about 20 min away by car.

Great hotel. We had a view of the ships which the kids loved. The room was clean and nice. It's a short walk to bars and restaurants. Great place to stay at on the weekend since it's in the middle of corporate buildings… nice and quiet with little traffic. If you want a beach, you do need to drive but only about 5 minutes. I am a Hilton Diamond member so we got breakfast included. It was amazing. The food was perfect and the staff were very accommodating.

Guest service is superb, as one would expect from any Hilton. Parking is made easy with the option to valet or self park. Ideal place to stay if you want to explore all that Long Beach has to offer.

Clean, comfortable room. Hotel provides shuttle to nearby attractions and our shuttle driver Alex was great! only about a 10 minute wait to be dropped off and picked up. Free underground parking for park and cruise option was a great perk!

Service was very nice, check-in was smooth, and the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely, with a nice three-way shower and plenty of space. The price was right due to a deal through an aggregate website, and the location was perfect, walking distance from at least 10 restaurants. Parking would have been normal price, but the very nice man who checked us in comped the parking for me and my new wife. I appreciated the character of all the employees we encountered during our stay, and would certainly recommend the Hilton Long Beach to any of my friends looking to stay in Long Beach.

Hilton Long Beach was a very clean welcoming hotel. Its very close to shopping, restaurants, and plenty of activities. The beach is in walking distance as well or a short cab/ uber ride of you prefer. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with all the favorites and had something for every diet. I highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Long Beach.

We had a wonderful stay here a couple of weekends ago. Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Room service food was delicious. Beds are extremely comfortable and pillows are great. Try the French onion soup. Convenient to Aquarium of the Pacific. Had great lunch at Berth 55. Amazing seafood.

Nice hotel, well maintained. The service has been outstanding since we arrived! Starbucks in the lobby, Micro beer at the bar. On the other hand: attention to: The pool, 3 feet deep only, so not super interesting. The elevator is scary, it makes a lot of noise and hops.

This is a great hotel with great service and the folks behind the front desk were extremely nice and accommodating… I will definitely stay here again.

Always very friendly staff and nice clean rooms! It's always a pleasure to stay here and I've visited 6+ times. There was an issue with some vending machines at one point but it was fixed promptly. Great choice for any occasion and all year round.

The room was nice enough. The bathroom was small and the ceilings are low so the shower was awkward if you're tall. The bed and bedding was nice. The pool is a joke. It's a puddle. I'm talking knee deep. It says 3 ft. At the deepest and I'm gona take the under. I think I'd give it 4☆ if I didn't choose a hotel around the fact they advertised a pool.

Guest parking was easy, service staff was kind and attentive, food and drinks were good, all facilities were clean and comfortable.

Very nice hotel inside and out. Staff was polite, wireless room keys were pretty reliable and nice for not waiting to check in. Self parking was relatively easy to use/find, and bar had a decent selection of beers and liquor.

This is a standard business hotel. We were here for a bridal expo. The ball room was well kept and the staff was helpful. There was a glitch with the electrical power that took more than an hour to fix. I would recommend the hotel hook up power BEFORE the exhibitors start arriving for set-up. Overall we were pleased with the service, especially at the bar.

I too am at a loss on the bad reviews. Our omelettes were just awesome not watery as someone else said. Rooms were nice and all staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help.

The Hilton Long Beach was a great place to stay. We had a large group with meeting rooms, however they were constructing on that floor and it was a little tedious to go all the way down then turn around to take the escalator back up. It was a minor annoyance, but the staff make you feel at home and are very helpful.

The bellmen and valets were 100% awesome! The hotel desk staff was completely distracted and unfocused. The phone line to the valet was apparently broken so we were told to call the front desk when we needed our vehicle for departure, and they would have it brought around. I called the desk just before checkout and told them we needed our vehicle. They said, "We will have it brought around. " I went down to the desk 10 minutes later to settle our bill, waited in line for 20 minutes while THREE people behind the counter were focused on helping ONE customer, and then two of them disappeared, so I waited in line for the last remaining front desk person. As we were completing checkout, I was waiting for her to print my receipt, and some woman stepped up beside me and asked for a stapler. The front desk person left me standing there waiting and went into the back to find a stapler. 5-10 minutes later, she reappeared with the stapler and helped the lady. THEN she finished entering all of my information so I could have a receipt. I find it extremely frustrating to wait my turn in line, only to have the hotel drop me to help someone else who just arrived, and didn't wait their turn. Finally got my receipt, and headed to the valet with my luggage.

I am at a loss to understand all the negative reviews about this hotel. We stayed there a couple of weeks ago (admittedly renovations are nearing an end it seems) and had a truly wonderful experience. We are Hilton family hotel regulars and thus have fairly high expectations. This hotel and their staff not only met but exceeded them. We're also Hilton Honors members. We received an excellent, upgraded hotel room, found the staff extremely courteous and accommodating. We fully intend to return and give this hotel a wholehearted recommendation.

After a terrible experience at another Hilton Property i've booked my stay at this hotel. In the morning half naked out of the shower housekeeping walks in without knocking. The fact is I wasn't bothered so much by that as much as I was by a phone call from Front Desk "claiming" sir someone brough your keys down and checked you out? Or maybe you've checked out? Making me sound like an idiot for their screw up and making up excuses? It's a given that after this last stay at Hilton I have no desire to stay at any of their properties, their prices are good but as they say you get what you pay for…

We stayed their 3 nights in the past week. There is some construction with the front entrance but not a big deal. The remodeling they are working on looks beautiful. It will be top notch when it's done. The rooms were very clean, new and big. We had great views of the town each stay. They go above and beyond with their customer service. The shuttle picked up others in my party going to the same place when their shuttle at the Hotel Maya failed to show up. We were trying to transport the bride to her wedding reception at the Hotel Maya where she had previously stayed the past two nights and the shuttle didn't show and the front desk kept putting our call on hold. The Hilton came through and allowed the bride to ride in their shuttle to the reception. The Hilton shuttle also on a different night took us much farther out of their usual radius on a slow night. The topper for the best customer service was Monday morning when we checked back into the hotel we had a horrible situation with our rental car and ended up in a minor accident. We just briefly told the reception women how bad our morning had been and without hesitation she wrote us complimentary lunch coupons for two on the Hilton. It actually put a smile on our faces and helped turn our day around. It was also the best meal we had during our entire stay in Long beach! In addition, the two times we had to check in here they accommodated us much earlier than usual check in time, both days at 11am!

A lot of construction inconvenience with no notice or discount prior to arrival. Front entrance was closed and I noticed a review written 4 months ago that says the same. Rediculous. Elevator permits expired and they made a lot of noise, kinda scary. Buttons didnt work, some button lights didn't work. Neighbors kept us awake until 330am, they were loud and partying. We were woke up @ 930 am by someone unannounced coming into our room to put our receipt on the floor. Which I was already tired and could not fall back asleep because loud partying neighbors. Terrible maintenance upkeep, elevator buttons not working, generally no maintenance upkeep, walking around the place, you can tell it's just run down. I was going to mention when I was asked how my stay was but I was not asked anything upon check out. First and last time ever staying in a Hilton hotel. I've stayed in cheap, small town hotels for less than $70 and they were nicer than this hotel. Almost everything on the entertainment level (2nd floor) was under construction.

This Hilton hotel was under a massive renovation as we checked in. The first signs of trouble appeared as we attempted to park. We were issued a parking ticket and this ticket was never validated by the front desk, even though we were assured that it was. The second issue happened within minutes of the first. All elevators were malfunctioning, requiring hotel staff to ride the elevators to assure no one was stuck on the floors or within the elevator itself. The elevator was a chronic issue the entire time of our stay. The AC in the rooms was non-functional. Although the AC registered at 69 degrees, the room temp was easily 78 degrees and muggy. This issue was never corrected during our stay. This hotel charged us $189 a nite, but, this should have been a $79 a night room. Very, very poor service and almost no assistance in any of the areas touched upon here. Funny thing here, as we checked out, the hotel tried to charge the parking rate with a non — validated ticket, although the gate was up the entire time of our stay. I also contacted Hilton Honors and have yet to hear from them too.

This place is horrible! I am a Hilton Honors member and travel frequently. This is by far the worst stay I've ever had. This trip started with main entrances closed off due to construction leaving me parked in the garage full of trash overflowing in bins and empty boxes strewn about. For being a part of the One World Trade Center, you'd think security would be a bit more present. After fumbling with my bags I finally found the entrance. The woman at the front desk was rude at best. How is it that I am an inconvenience simply by checking into a hotel? Once I gave up on getting a cart for my luggage (I see one behind the half open door behind you! I'm not dumb! ) I walk to the elevator and contemplate taking the stairs to the 14th floor due to the state of these death traps. They are in the beginning of upgrading their rooms but haven't gotten to this floor obviously. Severely out dated and dark. I assume the lack of lighting is to hide the stains on the walls and floors. Be prepared to pay $20 a day for parking. The front desk will validate your ticket for the duration of your stay, however the guys at the gate don't seem to be aware as they claim that they "have to process the ticket" requiring you to get a new ticket and validation each time you want to leave. The front desk just about argued with me when explaining why I don't have my "original ticket", dismissing me with, " well that's not the way its done". Tell that to the parking attendant, not me!
