Reviews of Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel 3*
A good stay. Not the newest of Hotels, it feels overused and the distance between lobby and some rooms is a long walk… Also, breakfast is a bit weak (if in room, we didn't try the buffet) … But that's the only relatively negative things I will say about Anaheim Majestic. We stayed for 2 nights. The Best part of it is the free shuttle bus to Disneyland. The room is spacious. The staff is helpful and friendly. Just what we expected. We surely recommend this Hotel for someone visiting Disneyland.
For my first Disneyland visit I wanted to stay somewhere close. Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel was a great choice! As soon as we parked my daughter wouldn't stop saying that she felt like a real princess because the hotel looks like a castle. The room was clean and comfortable. They have beautiful gardens that are extremely relaxing! The pool area was also great. I will definitely be staying here again for my next Disneyland visit!
Spent 6 nights here and had a great experience. The staff was very warm and friendly. The staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism, always respectful and helpful. Nathan and another young man at the front desk (don’t remember his name) were especially helpful and pleasant. I witnessed front desk staff (Kimberly? ) handle a difficult situation in a patient and calm manner. The breakfast buffet is excellent-try the omelette station! —and the restaurant had other great offerings. Cynthia at the lounge was friendly and entertaining. The pool was nice and is a good place to watch evening fireworks. The free shuttle to Disney was convenient and the drivers do a good job of keeping things organized at busy times. The gardens are beautiful too!
Have stayed here twice without a hitch. One of the best hotels for your money near Disneyland. I recommend upgrading to the premium room. It's usually only about $15 more and well worth it. Grounds are also very beautiful. Excited to come back and stay again.
I enjoyed my stay here unfortunately I didn't get the chance to use the pool or hot tub but the rooms were cute. There were a few things that could be easily fixed like the chipping paint and the dirty vents but it was over all a great room. We decided to try the room service and it was AMAZING! The food was delicious and the service was great.
We were hesitant to book based on some of the reviews but so glad we did! Our hotel room had a castle bunk bed which the kids loved. The room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. The pool area is really nice. The employees were kind and professional. The restaurant was good but we enjoyed the quick breakfast items from the hotel store. Being able to check our bags before check in was a huge convenience as was the free shuttle.
Picked up my in-laws, they stayed here. The best part of this hotel is the lobby. Great for kids, but I think mostly for little girls. A princess goes around greeting people and inviting the kids to participate in I don't know what but it looked like maybe they were doing a craft? IDK. The little girls I saw with the princess looked happy to be there.
The hotel was a great stay. The staff were courteous and prompt. They have shuttles running to and from Disneyland every 30 minutes. My family is split on the best part; I think that the breakfast buffet at their restaurant was the best part, but my daughter thought the hotel's own princess visiting tables was the best. I would definitely stay here again and at half the price of the Disney resort we stayed longer too!
Well if you're just going to sleep there to go to Disney. A bit old the hotel.
Location is great. Shuttle service to Disneyland is efficient. Room is clean and spacious. The hotel garden is beautiful. However, the staff was not always in good mood. That's why I don't give 5 stars.
Nice hotel The staff very gracious always willing to help. You can buy tickets for the parks and the Shuttel to Disney make it all easier. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Really nice hotel the bathroom is a little small but the room was huge! The shuttle service was great but it feels up fast so plan on waiting! The service was great. We had a mix up with our reservation and they cleared it up and refunded it for us no problem. It's castle and middle-aged themed which is pretty cool.
Cute, nice place to bring the family. Lots of families, lots of kids. Staff was great, rooms are large and comfortable, but a little dated. Lighting is a little rough, bath/shower could use some updates. Water drains a little slow and temp won't be able to burn the kids, but warm enough for a good shower. Overall it was a great hotel with good shuttle service to Disney. Would easily stay here again with the kids, but not for a romantic getaway. Again, great hotel for a family trip to Disneyland.
Love coming here. We stay here every 2 years and travel from Australia. Would not stay anywhere else. Staff are amazing, rooms are lovely and big, very clean and beds are so comfortable. Free shuttle to Disneyland and great shopping and restaurants Close by. Highly recommend this hotel.
We cancelled the booking only by sending an email while we were traveling… and arriving we got the news that we had no hotel.
Currently at this hotel and wishing I would have booked anywhere but here. Where to even start. The outside looks really nice but the hotel room that we got was terrible. The elevator stinks, the tables in our hotel room are filthy, I don’t even want to put my stuff on the tables. The remote controller for the TV doesn’t even work in my room. The receptionist was rude. Oh, and the cherry on the cake is I was just told by the receptionist it’s $20 a day for parking. Once again wish I would have stayed at a motel and it would have been better. And their ‘continental breakfast’ is not complimentary. I’d rather just take my family to Denny’s for breakfast. Came here for my daughters birthday and not very good.
A very cute hotel that is model just like the olden days. The insides of the rooms resemble castles and has an ambiance that is definitely unique. It isn't really Disney inspired inside the rooms even though it is so close to Disneyland. They do have a bus that goes to and from the park, so take advantage of that. One suggestion, buy snacks, food, or drinks at a nearby gas station or store. The store inside this hotel is incredibly pricey. The same snacks and drinks you see at the gas station is 3 times the price here.
Very nice clean place. Excellent way to enjoy Disney they have shuttles all day and night back and forth. Whatever you do don't show up early. Check in is at 4pm. They didn't have our room ready until 4:30pm.
Been staying here for our Disneyland trips for several years now. Very little to complain about. If anything is ever not right, they promptly fix it. It’s always been a good experience here and we always look forward to the next stay. Very convenient, good staff, and not overpriced. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
I loved the hotel, my daughter was fascinated with the spaces and details of the gardens, which without being as elaborate, give you a feeling of perfect wellness, take care of the small details and the attention and service are excellent, sim doubt I will stay here again.
3 stays in the last 3 years and in my opinion doing just fine a year after new ownership change. Friendly shuttle drivers, quality food, cute rooms. However this trip guest services "lost" and then "found" my family's credit card and their signed authorization form for incidentals on my room. Wasted our time, upset my father but no big deal to me. I really liked Loi who patiently waited with my luggage while front desk drama was settled. He's an awesome new employee :) I even left a comment card because of his great attitude. Great hire!
Very convenient and close to go to Disneyland with free shuttle. Great room but the maintenance is poor. (Stained curtains, torn armchair, cobwebs. ) Very comfortable beds. Very decent price.
Very good location, very comfortable beds and lousy kitchen, price to the level.
Always a Great stay. Food and Room Service just Excellent. Large Beautiful Rooms. Gardens are beautiful and a great place to relax with a glass of wine. We enjoy our stays here very much with family and friends.
We stayed at Anaheim Majestic on a trip to Disneyland. The room was clean and presentable, the food was delicious, and the staff were very helpful. The pool area was amazing. Every night at 9 you can go out to the pool area and sit on the patio furniture to watch the fireworks show at Disneyland. It was really awesome. It had that castle feel, and they had the storyline written on the wall and floor throughout the hotel. If we go to Disneyland again we will definitely stay here.
Your shuttle for the park makes all the difference! It leaves you closer to the park entrance than the Disney hotels themselves.
Its beds are very comfortable and the rooms are cozy. There is nothing wrong that I have seen this hotel, I recommend it extensively.
Fantastic hotel, must have the spaghetti & meatballs at the Majestic hotel chef Ramsey would be in awe. And the friendly barkeep Cynthia makes the best Bloody Mary around Anaheim. Love that it is pet friendly. I wish they had a little storybook with Hotels storyline that the guests could buy. I love how it weaves through the hotel and kind of takes you on a scavanger hunt if you want to. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends.
Very Good hotel. Has really nice character with the castle style buildings and amazing gardens. Has good food and room service. It has a good pool, spa and gym and is amazing to give you service to go to Disneyland and Los Angeles. You get a spacious room with a great bathroom and closet. The housekeeping and service is second to none. Overall, it is great. I would definitely recommend it.
I stayed here in Summer 2016, and I am going to stay here again this summer (2018). All the staff were very friendly and helpful, it's a pretty nice place even though some things are dated. There were only 2 things I disliked. The layout is kind of odd; it's easy to find the lobby, but we had to go outside and in through sliding doors to get to our room. The other thing is that the room is VERY hot. We had to go to a nearby store to pick up a fan because there was no way we could sleep without one. Overall, a very nice hotel with friendly people. Very clean. Room service was also very good. I believe I ordered fish tacos. I am looking forward to staying here again, but bringing fans this time!
Spacious rooms but with bad lighting at night. Breakfast is very good. Cleanliness is good.
This is a FANTASTIC HOTEL! It is well maintained and the staff working here are professionals and customer sensitive! Amenities might be considered old and outdated by others but I called it rustic, unique and packing character which I considered essential to a hotel! The price is very reasonable! The Room Service delivery of food is fast. Restaurant inside the hotel has GOOD FOOD and Service is courteous and friendly! A really good neighborly hotel when visiting DISNEYLAND! Don't be deceived by its old castle facade at the front! This is a GOOD HOTEL! You'll be SURPRISE!
Great place to stay, hotel and room were clean and smelled nice. Decor was cool to look at. Giving it 4 stars only because while the room itself was a great size the bathrooms would be challenging for anyone considered big. There was a shuttle that left every 30 minutes for Disney that we took over but chose to walk back due to how nice the day was and how close the hotel is.
The Anaheim Hotel is painstakingly doing a beautiful renovation on their property. As beautiful as the work is being done, my complements are for the staff. They went out of their way to accommodate me after I arrived on a very late flight. When all that was left was an unfinished room they even went so far as to arrange a night for me at another hotel! I will definitely be back at this hotel, and not just because Disneyland parks are right across the street. This property may be surrounded by castles, but this staff will treat you like royalty!
Excellent location for a more economical price. It is important to note that parking costs 16 dollars a day. They have shuttle service to Disney parks every 30 minutes. Tickets can be purchased from the parks in the lobby. Room cleaning was not the best.
Pleasant hotel in a good location, price by room was reasonable, however the $15 per day for the parking lot was slightly high. Breakfast was good, but also relatively expensive.
Room was nice and bed was comfy. But the room did not have a lot of lighting, most of the plugs were not working, and the lights on the bunk bed castle did not work. Also when we got there, we had to use the luggage carriage ourselves. Usually the hotel helps with that. Over priced for what we got. Not even a complementary breakfast that you can get at less expensive hotels.
We stayed overnight at the hotel in order to be close to Disneyland in the morning. They had a complimentary shuttle that goes to Disneyland every half hour which was nice. You do have to pay for parking. It was $16 for an overnight trip. The room itself was nice. It was spacious and clean. The bathroom was small but not bad. The room opened up into an outdoor patio which had a cute pond with a bridge over it. Overall it was a good experience.
This is definitely the place to stay on a trip to Disneyland! The magic continues at the hotel. The details put into the entire experience are incredible! It looks like a castle, decor is modern but gives a nod to medieval royalty, and a princess roams around and greets you. The bed is comfortable, the room is clean, spacious and quiet, and the staff is very friendly. Parking is reasonably priced at $16 per night. Combined with the free shuttle service to Disneyland and the fact that the parking is cheaper than Disney parking, you can't go wrong. The shuttle service was even well organized and patient in the chaos of returning the masses to the hotel after the parks closed. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with our experience!
We visited to have dinner with some friends who were staying there during their Disneyland visit. The decor was charming and on theme, and the staff were accommodating and friendly. We took our food to go and sat in the lobby area so the kids could move around as there were bean bags and cartoons on there. They also had some fish tanks which were a nice touch and lots of seating areas which we appreciated. The bar is right there so getting drinks was easy. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would definitely consider it an option for future Disneyland trips.
Great location and price. The food in the lounge was very good but pricey for what it was also the "cafe" (store) was very expensive the room we stayed in had not been renovated yet and was supposed to have a view. But all we could see was a parking lot and the side if a building. All that being said everyone was super nice the rooms were clean and we'll maintained. The grounds are very nice the pool Area was also great. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Overall decent stay.
Lost one star only because the whole place needs a facelift, the restaurant is expensive, and guests are charged for parking. But even though the structure is dated, the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and large. You don't feel like you're walking into an old hotel; it feels very fancy especially considering it's very affordable rates. Being California I would have expected to pay 3 times as much as I did for a hotel like this. Also the pool area had nice seating with a few covered spots and the pool and spa work clean.
I would recommend this hotel to others who are just here for Disney. It's got a great relaxing garden with several sections. The rooms are comfortable, with a small fridge but no safe. I would have given it a 5 star, but there was a problem with the plumbing, making the sink smell slightly like sewage. They fixed it quickly, but I would expect the older buildings to have frequent problems… The Disney fireworks are so close that some car alarms go off. I hope you like fireworks at 9:30pm, we certainly enjoyed them.
Honestly, I love it! Very close to Disneyland! They have a shuttle that takes you or brings you from disneyland every 30 min I believe. It was great. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly, rooms are nice, the building is nice and clean. Pools look great. I am completely happy!
Majestic disappointment… Horrible check in with rude staff, escalated to manager who was indifferent and seems whole staff has a very negative attitude. Saw rats outside, carpets are disgusting, parking attendant dropped the parking gate on my car upon exiting, deli gave milk for coffee one day and then next day said that they didn't and refused and said all they had was powdered creamer, same attitude in deli as rest of their miserable staff, coming from the Hilton hotel right before this stay, I wanted to run out of this place. Horrible stay, would definitely not recommend, its a glorified Motel 6.
Price per 3-star Disney latho.
Room is spacious but disappointing. Comfortable but cramped with a full family in the room. Parking is a pain. Atmosphere is fun for the family with a great view of Disney fireworks nightly show.
Amazing hotel from the appearance of the hotel, to the lobby, and room. Such a great place. First of, the proximity to the park and I-5 is a godsend. It couldn't have been in a better location. The free shuttle that Majestic Garden provided was also great. The drivers were friendly and helpful and the shuttle always arrived on time. Now the hotel itself was amazing. All the staff was courteous and professional. Never had a problem. The lobby is pretty cool, it offers everything you'd expect from a hotel along with disneyland service (buy tickets for the parks and park info) and a bar for the adults. The bar is spacious and offers a happy hour. The drinks were good so no complaints here. People should really take advantage of thr bar along with the shuttle as you don't have to drive :P I booked a premium room and it was nice and clean along with a comfortable bed. 5/5. Strongly recommended. Will be back in November :)
Cons: So the room is large but the bathroom is so tiny one person can hardly function in it and when you have 3 small children and two adults it was awful. Seriously you can't even sit on the toilet AND close the door… You also could hear people sneeze in the room next to you — the sound proofing is non existent. The pool was outside our room and it was like the windows were open but they weren't. It served our purpose but I wouldn't stay here again. You have to pay for parking. Pros: The maids were great.
I can't believe the things that people are complaining about! Seriously the Toilet paper was an issue? the towels aren't soft enough? Ay people! Our stay was amazing! Everyone one was awesome. At check in the young lady checking us in was so nice and gave us a great view to watch the fireworks. Disneyland was with in walking distance from our room. No shuttle needed. The pool was very clean. The room was very spacious and clean. Housekeeping is awesome. We can't wait to stay there again. We have highly recommend this Hotel to all of our friends and family.
The bus to Disneyland and back is very convenient, but customers do have to pay to park. The maid service was good, give those girls a raise. Crib at no charge for our three year old, excellent. The koi pond was cute. The rose garden was a little overhyped. The other flowerbeds had some snails in them, but those are adorable so please don't kill them. The towels were not very soft. The height of the bathroom counter was a little high so that was inconvenient with our five year old not being able to reach the sink easily to wash her hands, a small step stool would solve that problem. Another thing to consider is that some customers really can't stand Georgia Pacific toilet paper. Georgia Pacific is a subsidiary of Koch Industries, a privately owned company run by two multi-billionaires, Charles and David Koch, who funnel tens of millions of dollars per year into corrupting our political system and promoting their own interests. Other toilet paper companies like Kimberly Clark and Procter & Gamble are much less controversial, and are therefore preferable.
Very convenient to Disney. Their own private shuttle service running about every 5 minutes. So close that you can see the full fireworks display from the hotel. No need to battle the hoardes of people trying to get out of the park after the big show. You can leave about 830, get back and still see it all.
Good hotel, clean, with everything you need, the shuttle service to Disney were majaderos once I close the door in the face and pluck.
Pros: We got the room for an affordable price and ended up upgrading to a king which was an additional $15 bucks. The room was huge and remodeled. The restaurant was kind of expensive, but with a 10 month old it was worth it to not have to drive anywhere. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and really good. Cons: Parking is not included with your stay, which we found kind of weird. It was an additional $14 bucks a night! Also, in the sandwich area an attendee gave us expired cottage cheese for our baby, which she then promptly replaced with something fresher when pointed out. The bathroom was really small and the tub was stained and old. Overall: After the additional expenses and overall experience, I don't think we would stay at this hotel again. We would probably take the additional $30 and stay at a nicer hotel.
The room have been renovated so they have new carpet, upgolstry, tvs, furnituew, etc. Super close walk to dowtown disney. Magical hotel, with a koi pond and cabanas at the pool and the game room has pool tables. Staff is very nice. Feels kind of like you are staying in a castle.
What a disappointment! we have stayed in 3 other nearby hotels in the past years so have good comparisons. This was a week long trip for both the convention center and Disneyland we just got home from. They charge $15 a day to park your car, NO continental breakfast! Free parking & some type of breakfast are included with every other hotel we've stayed at. The majestic is one of the few nearby that has no shuttle service to the convention center, the majestic has shuttle busses for Disneyland but it seemed the majestic busses could not keep up with the amount of guest! At times waiting 45 minutes for a ride back & they force the guest to put the kids on their lap to save room. The website shows beautiful grounds & a nice restaurant/ lounge. Grounds are ok but not near as nice as described, restaurant/lounge looks nice but the cost is more then an extremely nice restaurant which its not. $9 for a beer as an example. The pool was niceish & the hot tub was niceish but always filled solid with children even though it says no children under 14 in hot tub. We somehow got a crappy room in the far separated building which appears the old not updated building. AC didn't get cooler then about 70, nicer with the window open but that was also the interstate freeway noise not 80' away.
We were married at this hotel when it was the Sheraton and loved it then and still love it now. Not much has changed since it has become the majestic hotel. Room details: -clean -recently renovated -comfy king size bed -2 bottles of complimentary water Service: -Got everything we asked for -very friendly staff, everyone said hello when we walked by -disney shuttle was great and on time Parking: -There might have been an event going on, but parking was difficult to find My only real problem was the outdated tvs. The channels took forever to load, no movie rentals, limited channel options. Very small problem as we weren't there to watch TV, but a bettet system would have completed the experience.
PROS: The hotel was pretty close to Disneyland park. The free Disneyland shuttle was great. The buffet had a pretty good selection of food. The price was reasonable. The room was nice. CONS:They advised in their amenities that the room comes with a microwave but the microwave is in the front inside the deli. The room we were placed in was in the next building over (so yeah it was a far walk). Our room had ants. They also said that we would be able to see the fireworks from our room but we had to walk to the front of the main building. The $14 a day parking fee was a bit much. The latch on the door was hanging on by I screw. The overall stay would have been better if we were in the main building or if the had a microwave downstairs in the next building. We could have done without the ants. The screws on the latch could be fixed it only takes a couple of screws. I probably would not stay here again.
I went there for a birthday dinner. My first impression of it was that it had a very quiet atmosphere. Everything looked nice, and had a little bit of Disney added to the decor. The food was great. The burger that I had was charbroiled to perfection, and the fruit salad was very sweet and ripe. My boyfriends sandwich melted in my mouth. When we walked out to the parking lot, we even got to see the Disney land fireworks for free. It was a lovely experience.
Good service, Clean hotel spacious rooms, good quality of service.
This was introduced as a 3.5 star hotel and it was nowhere near that. Front desk staff refused to crack a smile which made me pretty uncomfortable. Room had food scraps in one corner from previous stay. One smashed spider over our bed and one smashed spider in our bathroom, don't they check the rooms for cleanliness to be a 3.5 star hotel. The hotel is very unaccomidating. The free shuttle was always full, ended up having to take an uber because the line to get on was so long and we had already waited 45 mins to get on. I will say the bus drivers for the hotel are very nice. Loved their attitude.
Very enjoyable hotel and the free shuttle is worth a fortune if you are visiting Disneyland. Highly recommended place to stay. Needs a little more maintenance and refresh but they are trying. Small bathrooms so would be really nice if the sink could be relocated outside the toilet and shower area.
The majestic used to be a Sheraton hotel. It's a peaceful courtyard, shuttles to and from disneyland all day, friendly and attentive staff. Stayed here twice, one in a regular room with two queen sized beds. The room had a refrigerator, and a basic bathroom setup. Flat screen TV with an assortment of TV channels. $15 for parking isn't really a turn off, considering it's a closed lot with someone at the front gates checking folks in. The second stay we got a Jr suite. The room has two queen beds and a pull out couch. The room itself is spacious with a nice sized walk in closet. The view is facing the courtyard and we were able to see the fireworks from disneyland from our room window. The only thing that I didn't like about the room is the bathroom is smaller. The door in narrow and the tub/shower is a tight fit, but sufficient to do what you need. The place appears to have been recently remodeled. There's a pool, a gazebo, and a koi pond. There's a restaurant and bar, and they also have computers that could be used and printers as well. Free Wi-Fi throughout. Plenty of areas to hang out and rest in between disney park visits. Absolutely recommended.
! STOP Please read this! if you love your family, don't stay here unless you want to be lied to, stay in a room with black mold in the bathroom and black mold in the common area bathrooms, defective fire doors being propped open with rubber door stops, open exposed wiring, bus with a bad sensor that needs to be repeatedly restarted enroute, TV with approximately 20 stations that are mislabeled without a guide, a sewage smell in the first room, and a dangerous sharp metal weather stripping door sweep sticking out from the door several inches making it so we couldn't safely utilize that door (C1165) (with an oblivious 4 yr old) to get out to the pool, as well as it created a gap which allowed bugs to enter our room. We saved for two years to take our 4 yr old to Disneyland. Our daughter became ill with a fever of 102 on the flight. When we checked in with Darine and told her the situation with my child, she said that the room we'd been assigned was on the 3rd floor and was not ready yet (which was not unexpected as we arrived prior to the check-in time) but that she'd ask housekeeping to prioritize it. We then requested a room on the 1st floor close to the pool so we could cool our daughter off, and she told us there were none available, but that we could utilize the pool while we waited.
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, the room was large, clean and modern, while the decor around the hotel had just enough whimsey with the "castle" theme. The staff was great the whole time, and the shuttle to and from Disneyland is convenient. They have an ADA compatible shuttle if you need one, and are always willing to help. The hotel's restaurant was actually pretty good and I enjoyed all of the breakfasts I had there. I didn't travel with kids (because I don't have any) but if you do travel with kids, they try to have a little of their own kinda mini-disney like theming. There is a princess with a story (involving a dragon) and the princess walks around and talks to the kids at Breakfast. Pricing was good (especially when compared to Disneyland's hotels) for what we got, I would definitely stay there again. The only real con is that unless you drive, the slightly out of the way position of the hotel makes the shuttle or taxies really your only option, but if you want to spend the majority of your time at the parks, this hardly seems a bother at all.
It was clean, though obviously an older hotel. A few plumbing issues. Has a laundry facility which was greatly appreciated since we stayed a week. They have free shuttles to the Disneyland parks every half hour. Beautiful property with some fun scattered through it in the form of a koi pond, gazebo, and stories written on the walls. Walmart was 5 minutes away and Huntington Beach 40 minutes. We would stay here again as long as we had a car and the prices remain affordable.
Rooms are great size for the prize and well maintained. New upgraded rooms as well. Location is a little far for walking distance for disney with a family but complimentary shuttle is great and runs every 30 min. Service is quick, friendly and very helpful. Our family and friends number 1 choice when coming to Disneyland.
They dropped the ball many times! We booked two rooms & they couldn't put our rooms together even though it was requested & booked way ahead of time. TV kept on losing connection constantly, we called for assistance & they never showed up. Restaurant is the worst! We placed our order to pick up since it was faster than room service, when we showed up they said that someone had called and cancel it. Employees kept on blaming one another and coming up with different stories so we decided not to bother and eat elsewhere, which was very inconvenient. There are way too many options for nice hotels close to Disneyland and this is definitely out of question for me and my family.
Found a dirty used condom in my room the night we checked in. Front desk had nothing to say. I have left um-teem messages for the general manager and he avoids the issue, I actually saw him speaking to lizet at the front desk, but he couldn't face thee issue face to face. The customer service is HORRIBLE. All the hotel cares about is filling the rooms and the money. I didn't even get an apology or offer to re clean my room. I was traveling with 2 handicap kids. The only thing great about the hotel is how close it is to Disneyland and the shuttle service. As for service, the hotel does not care about you as a guest, just your $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I will be contacting the health dept. Osha and industrial relations. All I asked was to speak to a manager. I shouldn't of had to go buy supplies and clean my own room at 1130 pm.
Was a great hotel stay. Friendly staff, great view of the Disneyland fireworks. Koi pond was nice, pool coooould have been a tad warmer. And I wish they had a microwave in the room. But other than that, great stay. And super short shuttle ride to Disney.
This hotel is AMAZING. The staff and the management went above and beyond in helping me with my stay. I made my reservation about two months prior to my travel date. A few days before I called in to confirm my reservation to find out that the incorrect reservation was made. That day I was told that I had to call back in the morning to speak to a manager about my problem because only a manager could fix the issue. I called back in the morning and was pushed around by a few people telling me that nothing could be done because the hotel was booked. I was starting to feel hopeless at this point thinking that I was going to have to deal with a crappy hotel stay. It was then that Glen came into the picture and took control of the situation. I explained to him what had happened and what was going on. He made it his priority to ensure that my stay was the best it could be. He fixed my reservation and got me into the room that I originally wanted. When I arrived at the hotel and finally met him; he greeted me with a wholehearted smile and wished me a great stay. It was his customer report that will always bring me back to the hotel. I had a great stay and look forward to coming back!
I have been trying to get someone on the phone to book a reservation for January for 20 minutes. People keep transferring me and noone will answer the phone. Definitely will find somewhere else to stay. If you cant even get a reservation agent on the phone imagine how bad the service will be when you get there?! I keep getting transferred to the front desk where noone will help me there either what a waste of time! This place is awful.
Very beautiful grounds and beautiful landscaping. The inside is a little bland and doesn't necessarily fit the theme of the outside, but everything is very clean and the room is definitely nice. Wifi was fast in my room, which is very important to me. I don't know if I'd go out of my way to stay here, as it's not as good of a location for walking to things as some of the other hotels, but the free shuttle is greatly appreciated and I'm enjoying the stay.
We stayed in the part that had not been renovated. It was not as nice as the rest of the hotel. But the part that was renovated was beautiful. I didnt like that we had to pay for parking. But being close to the park and having the shuttle option was a bonus. Room was cleaned daily. Extremely comfy beds! I would stay there again.
We are staying here currently and tonight was the worst service ever! They do not service your room even though you requested it and pay for these services in their fee! The worst part of this experience at the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel is the guest experience from the front desk. Both clerk and manager could care less of the hotel's negligence and neither apologized. The clerk was absolutely apolling, she is terrible. No apology from the manager about the rude service either. If you are looking for a hotel, stay somewhere else… anywhere else! There are so many other choices.
Horrible staff are very rude restrooms are very dirty this will my frist and last time here.
The hotel room including the bathroom needs maintenance and house keeping doesn't seems to be doing a good job in keeping the bathroom nice and clean. the shower and bathroom tub was nasty. The drain clogged up in the tub so you're standing on nasty water I reported to the front desk and the receptionist said she was gonna send someone to fix it but they never did. There's no ventilation in the bathroom. The room we were put in smelled like old it was really uncomfortable, the carpet by the AC was wet. The correct name for this place should be Magestic Motel (Not Hotel) I have stayed at the Homewood by Hilton's Hotel for a better price with breakfast included and the rooms are really nice with fridge and kitchen I will never stay at the majestic again. Having the breakfast and parking included was a good deal but that was it. Just feel like I paid very expensive for parking and simply breakfast.
Great hotel very comfortable.
Proceed with extreme CAUTION when booking with this hotel! I reserved a room for my brother-in-law who was visiting from Brazil when I realized I had the wrong dates. I immediately canceled the reservation and re-booked with the correct dates. I was only refunded a small portion of the transaction made five minutes earlier even though I re-booked with the correct dates. I appealed the decision and was denied. I find it sad that this hotel is more interested in $ than customer service! The best I can do is vote with my wallet and will NEVER recommend the ANAHEIM MAJESTIC GARDEN HOTEL AGAIN!
Lovely room. Tiny bathroom. Pleasant staff.
Great hotel with super friendly staff. Updated room are very cute and comfortable. My two daughters (6 & 12) loved walking through the gardens too and from the pool.
The bathroom toilet had issues and our room smelled like sewer two of the nights. The first room we were put in smelled like smoke really bad so we were moved to a different room. The hotel desk blonde was rude and very unfriendly, when we checked out and checked in. Our last night there my daughter (took picture) of a huge cockroach type bug in our room. It was not was I was expecting and was a disappointing end to our great trip. Also, there is $14 parking fee with no other option for parking. Don't waste your money on this one.
Soon as I attempted to walk into the room the key did not work. When I did get it open was immediately overwhelmed by the dank musky smell of the room. Was surprised to pay $14 for parking per night as well as the smallest room I have stayed in in all of my stays at Disneyland. We are annual pass holders so we try many hotels around the park. I would not suggest this for families or anyone who wants the full disney experience. We enjoy walking to the parks, but with this hotel it is not really feasible. Paid more than all the hotels we stayed at since we have been going this year. Save your money as this hotel is a let down for the price. Also their reasoning for the parking charge is it is cheaper than the Disney Parking Lot. Charging like a top notch hotel, but definitely not providing the services for the cost, my suggestion stay elsewhere.
Same complaints as the others. The rooms are average but the bathrooms are gross. The floors were dirty, mold in the shower, and dirt on the walls. The water pressure is null and the shower doesn't drain. The staff was nice and it was convenient with the shuttle. There is no way to walk to DisneyLand. It would take at least 30 minutes across 2 major roadways to get there. For the price I expected a lot more. Next time I will be staying somewhere else.
Ok. The shuttle bus drier was kind and very funny. But I would expect more than that at Sheraton. Actaully, im writing this while staying at this Sheraton. -The hotel front desk is the worst ever. I don't know how the other reviewer got the nice impression over the front desk. Maybe I just met a bad one. But apparently not. If interested, keep read this. Checking in was hassle. I had to wait for more than ten minutes. And there was no belboy at the entrance or loading/unloading zone. You have to ask the front desk for the service! -Here is just one exapmle why I hated this hotel. This hotel provides with 4 laundramet and dryers. When my wife got there, there was something wrong with the dryers. She talked to the front desk about it, and they said they will send a engineer to fix it. Just beliveing what the front desk said, my wife had waited there for half an hour for nothing. Frustrated, she came back to them, and found they have don't nothing! Frustrated, she told me what has happened. I called the front destk, and heard they will call me back. Yep. It's been two business days, but I havenot heard anything from them. I hope this is just an incident. -Beware. This hotel is right next to the highway. It will be very noisy depending on where your room is located. At least, I hear cars running days and nights. -as someone reviewed, wireless is not free.
Stayed there over New Year at the final leg of our two week tour around California. New Years Eve we went outside to view the fireworks at Disney which was fine but there was nothing else organised. It would have been nice if they had some music or a disco or something to bring in the New Year. That aside the hotel itself was fine, middle of the road sort of place. Lack of free Wi-Fi in the room was a pain. There are a number of computer terminals near the reception area which was good. The food was ok, the bar area too small and it felt a bit disjointed. Our rooms were in another building from the main hotel so we had to cross a road to get from building to building which was not great with a cold wind blowing. Staff were fine with some friendlier than others. There was a free shuttle bus that took you to Disney and back. Overall, not a bad hotel but nothing memorable either.
Great hotel. The remodeled rooms are really cool. Perfect place to take your princess (or prince).
Stayed there this past summer for one night with my teenage son in one room and my teenage daughter and three of her girlfriends in another. The rooms were perfect for their purpose. Clean, quiet and with comfortable beds. We even had a view of the city. The front desk staff was extremely pleasant, and granted me a late departure in light of the gaggle of teens I was trying to control.
This is a cool little hotel. It's not luxurious, it's not gross. It's just somewhere in the middle. It's modern in a historical context, bright, clean, well-located, and boasts nice art and a definite vibe. Someone cared. It was pleasant NOT to see mediocre still-files and country prints. The glass flames outside are meant to represent the building's history, as it burned to the ground years ago. I wouldn't recommend it for families small rooms, but for a couple or a bunch of friends in the City for the weekend, it's fine.
— Free Shuttle to Disneyland (Drivers were awesome. Very comical) — Friendly staff — No free internet in room — Overpriced restaurant — Toilets didn't flush very well — Rooms felt a bit run down (Cracks all over in the bathroom).
Don't let the address fool you. There are several problems with this hotel. 1) The hotel is on Disneyland Drive, but it is located at the back of Disneyland, so it would not be feasible to try and walk to the park from the hotel. It's also really inconvenient to try and drive to the park from the hotel, as the hotel is located on a one way street — heading the opposite direction from the park and you have to enter the freeway and circle around to get to Disneyland. 2) They do not have a continental breakfast, which I didn't mind, but next time I would get a different hotel that offers that option. 3) You may take the free shuttle to the park, but it fills very quickly. So if you aren't out in front 15 minutes early, you wait for the next shuttle and hope they will bring one sooner than the "every 30 minutes" time frame advertised, especially first thing in the morning when everyone wants to get to Disney at opening. 4) There is no free Wi-Fi except in the lobby. Wi-Fi is available in your room for a charge. 5) The parking situation is kind of a joke. There are several buildings as part of this hotel and my room was located in the furthest building from the lobby. Not necessarily a problem until I tried to find a parking space. The hotel is situated in such a way that there were very few spaces available on the west side of the hotel, but a very large parking lot available on the east side, clear across the hotel property, and nowhere near my room.

It's a really nice hotel for the price. Really close to Disneyland and California Adventure (roughly 1 mile, so it's easily walkable or they offer a free shuttle service to and from the park). The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that they charge guests $18 a day for parking. I get that it's really close to the theme parks, so parking is limited, but they seem to have plenty of space and the fee is pretty steep. I stayed for a week, paid a little over $100 a night, and then ended up paying an extra $100+ for parking 1 car. Lame. Outside of that, I couldn't speak more highly of it.
