There are a few steps outside the lobby that almost could be a ladder instead because they are so steep. The lobby and breakfast area is quite small which means you might have to wait for someone else to be done before you can sit down. Taste and variation of the breakfast is acceptable, but not great. The rooms are quite small, but at least we had a nice view.

Clean Hotel, rooms a little small and above all very well located. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend It.

I really do not recommend this hotel very cold welcome hardly hello or goodbye the propreter leaves to be desired really towel stain dust It's just abusing my window break hole followed by a big crack! The good value for money is a very nice place to stay. This is another case and once we managed to ask the lady tells you very dry that it must hurry for the price that I let her do your not at all.

Filthy rooms with loads of dust under bed and on radiator. Curtains and stains and there was mold in the shower. The location was great and the house quite charming on the outside and in the lobby. Would not bring kids to this hotel due to "adult activities" accompanied by noise. Helpful staff who answered questions, but seemed a bit annoyed when asking for an extra cover. When booking it seemed like the breakfast was free, but it was 10 euro extra. Will not be staying here again.

Hotel to advise against. Very nice staff. Not the service, as one would expect from a hotel of this price. Cleanliness is poor. Breakfast to pay in addition to the room. Staircase access to the reception at the limit of the escalation, to advise against the elderly.

Stayed two nights, in the company of friends, to visit the city.
The reception is on top of a narrow and steep staircase, on which it is quite tiring to hoist heavy suitcases. Also, we happened twice to have to wait for the receptionist (there was no way to contact him).
The room we were given, on the ground floor of the adjoining building, was aesthetically cared for, with a bathroom extremely contained in size but large shower. Too bad for the temperature: beating the sun all day the room was hot and was free of conditioning, with window that opens only in part, being on the ground floor right on the street.
The breakfast is very good.

The living conditions are spartan:). The room did not close the window T. K. Peroshochena frame. The room was changed. The rooms are small. No wardrobe, just a couple of hangers. Everything is minimized. Breakfast for 3 with minus.

The Hotel is very good The breakfast is varied even if some courses you have to pay extra. It offers the renting service for the bikes. I recommend it.

Absolutely avoid very dear rooms similar to breakfast loculi at 16 euros and if you want a cappuccino you have to pàgare the buffet is miserable and dirty so much that despite having paid breakfast we preferred to make it out.

The only good thing about this hotel is that the room smelled like bleach, so I knew there was an attempt to make it clean. Cant swing a cat in the rooms or bathrooms tiny shower. We arrived to the hotel we booked a double room and received a twin room, When we asked the hotel about this we were told contact the site we booked on they have no more rooms available, and a couple that were in our group had no booking and got a double room cheaper than we paid, they came after we had queried this. In our room there was a hole in the window and was cracked the radiator walls and around the windows were manky.

Small room not even big enough to swing a cat. Smells like dampness. Well if you can afford a few more $ go elsewhere.

Very good location the hotel in general, the only thing at least us the shower to put a handle because you gave the hot and come cold to burn after is a nonsense but good everything else well.

Trully awful hotel, only good thing is the location. Staff surly and very rude, particularly the woman with blonde hair on reception. Wanted to charge €2.5 euros for instant coffee in a paper cup which we had been told was free. Paid £800 for five nights, first room smelt awful, the window handle had been removed and was unsafe. Moved to a very small room, photo shows how they make the beds! Carpet worn with hole in it. Walls very thin, can hear conversation in the next room. Don't give this hotel your custom, I noticed that people were saying the same things two years ago! Wished I spotted that before I booked but at the time there was a shortage of accomodation at a reasonable price in the city centre.

Location was really good. When we booked we booked a balcony room but didn't get that. There should have been a room fridge but there wasn't. Overall the room was nice and the view. Breakfast was also decent and staff where friendly and helpful.

Arrived early at 9.30am, nice welcome and they let check me in already as it was raining. Apologies it might be louder as others are currently checking out which is clear — and I was happy that my room was ready. My room was exactly like seen on the website, even better: view to the gracht with balcony, a separate room with couch and coffee/tea facilities, bed was huge and comfortable, big mirror, bathroom small but ok. Everything was clean, very central location of the hotel. Breakfast ok, too.

Small rooms, no change of towel for several days stay, very bright impaired building, breakfast can be described as minimalist, bathroom hardly place to turn, photos REALITÄTFREMD! Hotel run down, absolute dump! Caution! My brother and I have caught infection and viruses! From 5 days he lay in bed for 3 days… I'm not any better, that's something you should accuse!

We had an awful experience here. We payed for the nicer and larger double bed room and when we checked in, they gave us an economy room and we were unable to get a larger room. The economy room is very tiny! We had to store our suitcases under the bed. Other than the size, the room was FILTHY. Absolutely disgusting. Weird stains and dirt on the bathroom walls, headboard, curtains and sheets. The room smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke. The walls are paper thin and you can here people in the other rooms snoring. The bathroom is tiny and there is no separated shower area (it’s just a drain in the middle of the bathroom with a shower head). So the entire bathroom will be flooded and wet when you shower. There is no air conditioning or fan and the rooms are so stuffy and claustrophobic. Also, absolutely everything has a charge — drinking water, use of bike, coffee etc. The woman cook in the front dining area was very rude to us and also to another older guest who asked a simple a question. The luggage area is not kept locked or monitored so people can go in and out grabbing whatever. The Uber pick up zone is across the canal so it’s not easy to access with lots of luggage and especially sucks in the rain. horrible place. Do not stay here! We have had way better accommodations in the hostels! Also they ripped us off since we payed nearly double for the larger room and got an economy room!

Pesimo. Lack of hygiene, small rooms. Relation to the price does not justify as it is expensive with regard to the services it provides. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Its location. Very good. The rest is a 1-star hotel.

+ Pros: • Location, good Wi-Fi — Cons: • way too expensive • I booked a „small double room“. This room was actually even too small for only one person (ca. 6 square meter). No space at all to place any of your luggage. Either have to use the tiny desk or the bed to „store“ your stuff. The closet in the room has the size of a larger shoe box. Impossible to store anything in there. • The room was very dirty. Stains on the carpet, desk and curtains. Dust and hair (including pubic hair) in the bed. Really disgusting! • Taking a shower will flood the whole bathroom and your room. There is no shower tub and the drain cannot handle all the water. • Rude staff in the morning at check out telling you to move your luggage • Absolutely no parking possible in public areas. Avoid the parking area directly across the canal. If you park there, the fee is 200€ for one night. • This was the worst hotel I have ever been to. Any hostel is better in terms of value for your money than this place. Conclusion: DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL!

The place was dirty, in need of maintenance and extremely expensive to what they had to offer. Very unfriendly staff. Only upside is that it's located in the city center. But never again.

As I See it in the comments this Hotel has Good And Bad rooms. So here‘s what i‘ve experienced. Room Number 407 Stayed 2 nights. The TV is so small it could Easily be mistaken for an IPad. The room was very small and unclean. Mold spreads on the Window and Even though the window was closed all Night and day the glass inside of the window was wet. The sheets seemed like they‘re in use since world war I. I have slight Asthma and had breathing problems the Time I stayed in this room. Next comes the bathroom. Dust and Dirt everywhere. When You sit on the toilet you have to fear it breaks off. The water in the shower switches from cold to Boiling hot without me doing anything. So my Rating for this hotel is — 100 out of 10 Points. Really this was the worst Hotel / Shithole i‘ve Ever slept in. They may have rooms like the one the picture But mine was nothing like it. So Check out which room you get. Oh and in the elevator you have to fear it crashes down on Every drive you take. Cheers everyone.

Nice enough budget hotel in Amsterdam. Location is great (very near Leidse Plein). Rooms are a bit outdated but very clean, and the bed is very comfortable. Hotel is housed in two typical Amsterdam buildings, meaning that they are very narrow with steep stairs. Luckily there is a small elevator. Rooms do have a TV, but they only seem to receive a lot of German channels, so if that's important for you, please beware. But if you just want an affordable place to sleep at night, you can't go wrong here.

Do not recommend. Wasnt anything like I thought I was meant to be staying. I had to change hotels.

Someone should explain to me how QS Hotel has 3 stars! Unfortunately we stayed 3 nights and found the hotel very dirty, very small rooms without closet and minibar. In 207 you had to pay attention to how you washed your teeth given the tiny sink the soap ended up on your feet. The drafty windows come in and the bed is stuck. The staff are not very friendly and, both at the entrance and at the exit, they don't greet. Just a bad experience is not worth half a star.

The hotel is not acceptable for the rest of three stars and as if you are in the hostel reception disgustingly treats visitors especially a young lady with a short haircut blond hair. All night slam the doors in the corridor of the room will not turn 2 local even with one suitcase shorter do not go there … sucks.

Small rooms, no change of towel for several days stay, very bright impaired building, breakfast can be described as minimalist, bathroom barely space to turn, beautiful sink occupies almost a fifth of the bath. Small cupboard for this a makeshift bügelbrett in it. The Fön looks like it was died years ago.

Unfortunately I have to say that I was disappointed by my experience in Quentin Hotel, starting from the fact that I booked a room well in advance choosing the type that included the view on the canal and as shown in the picture also a small balcony. For safety I also consulted the other types of rooms to see if they have balconies and confirmed that only the previous one showed me decided to opt for the first choice. After booking I attached a request in which I specified that given the circumstance of travel (anniversary) and the advance of reservation (8 months) I wanted to be sure to get my room with balcony and canal view, I did not receive Answers though I got a receipt confirmation email. I sent the same mail 3 weeks before the trip and this time I was told that "my request will be taken into account". Very bitter but convinced by the positive reviews, we arrive at the hotel in the evening where we are told how to get to our room (comfortable enough to come in as the elevator avoided us from doing the stairs) entered the disappointment. No balcony, only positive note the bed mattress very comfortable, reception better let it stay because if I was a Dutchman I would have responded to tone to that presumptuous front desk girl who was an absolute rude. I will go back to Amsterdam but not in this hotel.

Lovely view and setting with good location close to many amenities! only down fall was asked for smoking room and was told that wasn't an option on arrival.

First thing to notice is the rude staff. Not welcoming at all. The heat dial was broken, the window was shimmied open right by the bed and was unmovable, there were no hand towels, light bulbs were out and the lighting was extremely poor. This morning the lift was broken and there was no direction as to where the stairs were. We finally found them. They were in repair as well and we had to step over abandoned power tools to get down. I would not recommend this place. It was dirty and in dire need of repairs. Safety hazard.

Room had some minor issues. Toilet didn't flush correctly and ran all night, shower was tiny and water leaked out and didn't drain correctly. Wall plates were missing from electrical outlets and switch plates falling off the walls. Otherwise it wasn't too bad.

Too noisy, clean to review… High price for the services offered.

Not very beautiful rooms (carpet on the floor and not really beautiful shower) but quite in the standard of Amsterdam. Location just outside the center (in 15 minutes walk you are the).
Very close to the square where practically all the buses to the centre stop. There's a bulldog just out there.
5 minutes to the south (under the Heineken Experience) there is a beautiful market with typical products and an area more frequented by Dutch than by tourists.

We had a room in the basement. Not so clean. Very expensive for this performance. €118 dz per night. Great location.

The worst hotel we have ever seen, mildew at bed, completely different from the description, we were having baby and booked 2 rooms, a disaster! Rooms were in the basement and Vllt 3x3meter, my husband could not have made the legs in bed, from the width our child could not go to bed, under the bed and immediately on the pillow black mold. We could not change rooms because the situation was unbearable, we left the hotel, we paid it with the credit card at arrival before we saw the rooms. Since we have left the hotel walk, the staff told us that the hotel manager will write us the money again well. Until today nothing has happened, inquiries were left unanswered. Now we have to look at how we stay with the credit card company. Not recommended, no room 005 and 006!

Perfect location for Liedersplein and surround. Clean rooms. Friendly efficient staff. Good value for money in the relatively expensive City of Amsterdam.

Nice room decor, very comfortable and clean. I take away a star, as to enter the hotel there to climb a staircase with the suitcases and this is a little uncomfortable.

The room was nice and comfy, and a bit small though. The 2 receptionists were good, and one of them was strict. Nonetheless I'd recommend for a night or 2 in Amsterdam.

Very good price with a location right next to Leidseplein. Pretty good breakfast. Old fashioned and quite small rooms. There was no AC in the room which was the only thing to complain about as we visited during the summer. Very steep stairs also worth mentioning.

Great location! Room was noisy with loud pipes and an elevator beside us. When the next room had a shower it was very loud too.

HS TV Bedding, 5 channel and no net. For cancellation this will cost you €200 of penalty. We had a good stay, but hotel question is a very bad stay. On the same area has 50 meter hotel América, with all the luxury and comfort. Our stay cost us €1025 for 5 days, from the flight. Hotel avoided! Besides, the inner staircases are scary, you don't want to have a fire! Big problem. I keep a very bad memory and advise against this hotel. For two days the room was not redone, to make me change once the linen I had to unmake the bed and put sheets and towels on the ground.

Unlike what is stated at the time of booking, breakfast is not included.

Experience to forget!

We did a 3 week trip to Europe that included Budapest, Prague, Denmark and Amsterdam. Quentin hotel in Amsterdam was 2nd to Denmark in its expense but first overall in worst experience. First of all, we had a room that you could hear the elevator operating at all times so it was hard to sleep. During our 5 night stay, we had the cleaners come to our room only once but we just so happened to be in it so the cleaning couldn't even happen then. Part of our criteria for selecting the place to stay in Amsterdam was that it would have a laundry service because it was raining and it would be hard to get to a laundromat; on the website, Quentin Hotel says it provides just that. When we brought it up to the front desk they gave us directions to a laundromat and looked at us like we were crazy when we were a bit put off. We had a blood stained towel when we first got there and mentioned it to the front desk and they said they'd bring another one and never did so we eventually got it ourselves. I'm not one to be waited on hand and foot but this was one of our pricier stays and the service was 10x worse. And to top it off, we were looking over our bank statements and found that they charged us $100 extra for something and when we wrote to dispute it, we got no response or refund back. Granted, Budapest is cheaper, but to put this into perspective, we stayed at a better place for $17/night in Budapest and the Quentin Hotel in Amsterdam was $110/night.

Appauling hotel! Do not stay here! Our room was a match boxed sized container with a mattress on plywood, the plug points were behind the bed board so we couldn't reach them, there were renervations happening in the room next to us which went on all day. But the most horrific part of the room was the bathroom, which has a shower which exists on the same floor as the normal bathroom which floods the whole bathroom. The bed pillows provided do not deserve their name as pillows and the staff are very unfriendly. Never mind the staircase which is so steep it is impossible to get up, the building creeks and is old and falling apart. The walls are paper thin and you can hear what everyone is saying on that floor. I wish I could give this hotel a 0 star rating.

Worst experience! There are plenty of hotels to stay in dont let them ruin your vacation! We got robbed at the hotel the second day. I have so many bad things to say but I think that's enough just stay somewhere else.

Room found dirty. Beside the noisy elevator. Bathroom with shower and return route through fan stinks of sewage. Only positive notes sadly useless are the kindness of receptionists and staff for sightseeing.

ATTENTION! THE WORSE LIAR HOTEL EVER IN AMSTERDAM! AVOID! I am still very upset because of the horrible memory in this hotel. I've booked a room in Quentin Hotel Amsterdam for May 10th during a little vacation for celebrating the 3rd anniversary with my boyfriend. Photos and description on their page are all nice and pretty, however, the actual room that they gave us was horrible! They gave us a room in another hotel which had nothing to do with the photo and description they had put online! There was a fishing net right outside the window, hanging with something like seaweed and a flip-flop inside the fishing net, yes, a FLIP-FLOP! The room was small and somber and there were stains on the wall. The bathroom had a smell of urine. I couldn't open the window to get fresh air, because if I do, I will see the flip-flop covered by seaweed and dirt in front of me. It was so disgusting that I almost vomited the moment I saw the room. I was completely shocked by the way how Quentin Hotel fools the consumers: 1. The room I've booked is in Quentin Hotel, but they actually gave us a room in a hotel called King Hotel in the same street. All the information online and even the receipt I've received are titled by the name and the logo of Quentin Hotel. They have never mentioned anything about King Hotel until the moment we went back to Quentin Hotel and complaint about the room. 2. Quentin Hotel insisted that the two hotels are the same.

I got a cheaper stay because they messed something up with my booking. The location is great! The hotel is alright. Haven't tried the breakfast, friendly staff though. The room wasn't all that great, but who goes to Amsterdam to stay in your hotel room.

The staff is not very nice. The rooms are not good and dirty. The toilets are very small and dark. The only advantage is it is near the Leidsplein.
