A very beautiful hotel. When you enter you take a trip into the past. You can dine in a big medieval dining hall, you can take a walk along the alleys on the top of the fortress walls, or enjoy a book and a cup of tea by the windows with amazing view. The food is very tasty, the service is very good.

Good: spacious rooms. Nice views. Friendly staff. Bad! : No Aircon. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR FOOD! It's ridiculous lousy. The fish we ordered (dorada and salmon) were both dry when it finally arrived. The tomato-cucumber salad was not available since there apparently were no cucumber — so we asked to mix the tomato with some green salad instead. What we got was a bowl of half-old brownish iceberg salad with two (2) slices of tomato. Waiting time was long. Some plates were filthy, salt/pepper set was really greasy as well. Oh, forgot that my husband found a piece of plastic in his food. Breakfast was as bad! Juice of the processed sugary thin kind in two versions. Cold egg/sausage pans. 3 kinds of ham/salami. 1 kind of jam. Everything cold and looking as if from day before. Little selection. Dirty spots on the table cloth, an ant running over it. All of it in a not-airconditioned room without the option to go outside in the shade somewhere. This hotel seems to be dying which is a shame because the settings/surroundings are magnificent. Resumé: go there if you like historic buildings and views, like to sweat and don't care for food. NOT 5 ***** AT ALL!
