Super nice staff. Great breakfast buffet. Rooms very clean! Happy to return!

We hired him without knowing it was a Catholic hotel, although I have to say that except for finding a Bible on the table at night, we didn't notice it at all. The beds are not very comfortable and the pillows too soft. There is no air conditioning, we went in early August and the room was an oven, the only alternative was to sleep with the windows open all night, luckily they were quite large and some air came in even though it became difficult to sleep. The room and bathroom are quite large, the bed was double and everything was clean.
Breakfast is nothing of the other world, there is little variety and no fresh fruit.
The receptionists who attended us were kind, especially an older man with glasses and gray hair, behaved very well, unlike one of his companions, quite borderline and overbearing who had trouble speaking another language other than German and had to ask him to m and repeat everything in English always.
As a point to say that you are given a card so that you can use the free transport during the days you stay at the hotel, I found it very good idea and very practical considering that German transport is not exactly cheap.
As for the location is less than 5 minutes walk from Dusseldorf Central Station, I read that it was not very good area for walking at night but we had no problem.

Decent budget hotel. But be warned no air con or fans in the rooms for warm summer months.

Good: excellent location, I don't even think 300m away from the train station. 49, 00 Euro per night.
Improvement: Very basic room, mold in the shower as well as a damaged shower enclosure. Bible next to the bed. Non-appealing breakfast room and an outdated and unmodern interior — and the elevator doesn't even go.
Fazi: To stay for 1 night (really only for 1 night).

It was close to the train station, but Google Map pointed me to the opposite side of the road, thinking that I would call the front desk when I changed my name, and an old man came across to meet me, very enthusiastic, and sent a free ticket.

Great hotel and friendly staff.

Nice, quiet, inexpensive hotel, located almost in the city center, near the central station. The city centre, where all the shopping and beer streets are located, can be reached on foot in 10-15 minutes, and can be reached by metro or tram on the tickets, which provide the hotel to all its guests for all kinds of transport.
The hotel rooms are clean and adequate in size to not feel cramped. The bathroom is spacious with a shower cabin, sink and toilet, which work regularly. The bed is large and comfortable, the bedding is nice, the blanket is warm.
TV showed 35 channels, but no one is in Russian. Advertising on all channels owes, because it goes for five or more minutes.
The housekeeping was regular and clean.
Wireless Internet access is inconvenient, with temporary passwords that change regularly. The Wi-Fi signal at first was absent, then appeared and was very weak. From him worked only phone on Android. IPad tablets have refused to work. Then it seems to have adjusted and this, but the bandwidth of the channel was very low, everything was loaded very slowly, especially in the evening, when all the guests at home and on the Internet. However, in the morning, the tablet could even check in for the flight, and then the tickets printed at the reception.

In central location, good value for money, pleasant atmosphere and with a very good breakfast is the YMCA-Hotel Düsseldorf M. E. Highly recommended.

It is an ok hotel. Nothing special. Very good location since it is very near to train station and restaurants. The elevator is old an a little bit scary. I was not able to sleep well because of the noisy cars and people outside. The good part is, they will give you a 1-day ticket to use on any public transport within the VRR territory.

This is a YMCA hotel, but don't think gym, or kids. It's a perfectly lovely basic hotel, with clean, up-to-date design comfy beds, great lighting and a magnifying mirror in the bathroom (better than many more expensive places) and a good breakfast in a nice dining area. Close to the station, too. Recommend.

I wanted a one night stay in Dusseldorf. Low price, clean, excellent staff. I good surprise was I got a free pass for all public transportation in the early morning I check in, and I used it extensively to visit more town I initially planned. Room is clean, with all you need. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices. Very pleased offered value for price. I strongly recommend this hotel.

I was 4 days in this Hotel to the carnival, and can only say good things, and this was the Hotel chosen because it's close to the Central train STATION was, many transport connections, have from the Hotel (city of Dusseldorf) a Verkehrspass for 4 days get, FREE, the rooms and the Hotel were very clean, and the fruestuck buffet was super. From Lisbon, Portugal.

Very nice place. I've stayed here for 1 night, as I needed a place to sleep after I've arrived to the Düsseldorf Central station. It took me 5 minutes to walk to the doors. It was late at night, but I was welcomed and shown to my room. The price was reasonable, the room was also nice — warm, comfortable bed, toiletries and clean shower. The check out was at 11, but I was a little late, but gladly no one mentioned that to me. Overall it's a nice place, especially if you want something cheaper, but with good quality and quick access to the Central Station.

The room wasn't quite as dark as I like them and the bed was a pain. Apart from that, everything was up to standard — and the price is unbeatable.
