Hotel is under construction, total chaos. Water stains on the roof in my bedroom, and a view of dead grass and weeds from dirty windows. No toothpaste in my bedroom. This is the second four star hotel I've been in in berlin stattmitte and you can't compare it to its competitors. Very disappointed.

Location was fantastic, staff were helpful and friendly, room was very large and breakfast was great. We would definitely stay there again. Berlin is a lively city and we enjoyed our short time there.

Great location, great rooms & very good price.

Nice cosy hotel in the city center near TV tower. It is nifty and clean, staff is friendly even late night during check-in (except one guy who was grumpy a lot). Pricing is reasonable but do not expect to have an iron and ironing board in the room. There are no hygiene supplies as well for your disposal in case you forgot something so be careful to have everything with you.

I have stayed 2 times at this hotel, great location to visit Berlin, central to practically a step from the island of museums (Museumsinsel). Overall quiet and clean!

Great location a short walk from Alexander Platz, but in Berlin I was better in the area near Frederick Strasse station. Poorly maintained and well-maintained structure and room, generally much less beautiful than they appear in the photos.
The receptionist who greets me when I arrive continues a video call with friends and makes me wait. Then it makes me understand that my request by email to change the reservation was not accepted by the hotel (but without any email reply to mine). Then the same tries to give me a small room (16 sqm) although I, even on my own, booked and paid for a double room of 25sqm. At this point I ask for the money back because I no longer want to stay in this place of cunning and incompetent, but I am refused restitution. I am going to go away threatening legal action and after a telephone interview the receptionist offers me a room in accordance with my booking and (aimè! ) I make the mistake of accepting it.
Stay to forget!

Absolutely shocking service, my girlfriend and I stayed here and payed for a 2 person room, we were provided a one person suite with smaller ammenities, further to this our room lock stopped working mid way through our stay meaning we couldn’t access our room without assistance. Staff were uninterested and rude about our situation and have ignored all calls and messages about the problems we had. Could not give a lower rating do not stay here!

Good hotel in the Mitte area with most of the famous landmarks reachable on foot. Tegel airport bus stop is just a couple hundred of meters away, The hotel is halfway between Heckesacher Markt and Alexanderplatz' S-bahn stations with a nearby tram line taking you to either of these hubs in no time. Breakfast was nothing spectacular but easily enough to keep you going until late afternoon and Kaufland supermarket is right next door if you happen to need a snack.

Centrally located. Professional, coolly friendly. Garage very tight. My car has a quirk on the trunk and I have a wound to the head, thanks to double-level parking. Room ok.

Good hotel, excellent breakfast. Exception is the bed in the room. Mattresses (kingsize bed) was soft or old i. E. Very low quality and bowed during the sleep. It was very uncomfortable to sleep. It is unacceptable for such class of hotel.

The location is not bad as it has a bus stop very close by where the main lines pass.

I cannot travel to Berlin because of an unexpected medical issue, and even though I provided a medical certificate, this hotel has not agreed to refund me, or EVEN let me simply change my reservation to a later date when I am recovered. They have zero understanding for people with illnesses or disabilities and horrible customer services. I would recommend you book elsewhere, in case you happen to have any issues because you will not be heard or understood here.

Really good hotel in the heart of Berlin at moderate prices. The rooms are absolutely clean and well cut. The bathrooms usually have shower in the bathtub but with good separation of glass and no self-priming disgusting shower curtain. Many rooms in the quiet courtyard. In the direct closer to Alexander Plaz — nomen est omen. Also in direct proximity to various restaurants — from Firschsytemgasteonomie to steakhouse and pubs all there. Always like to go there again. The service staff is international.

GREAT LOCATION, NICE PERSONNEL and COSY ROOMS! If you are staying in this hotel, there is no need to use public transportation as it's just 500 meters away from Alexanderplatz. — Beds are not confortable AT ALL. It looks like you are lying on an inflatable mattress rather than sleeping on a bed.

It's a very cozy hotel. Very close to Alexanderplatz, the television tower and the Duomo… Recommend!

Hotel well located pleasant welcome but a room that smells very strong cold tobacco while we wanted it non-smoking… I'm a smoker, but the smell is excruciating! I still remove a star because of the leaks of the shower and excruciating insulation while we were shooting on a busy street…

The breakfast was very good and the service was friendly and attentive. We brought in our child and the staff was extremely accommodating. The room was fine. Very clean and the bathroom was clean. Highly recommend.

Very good location, close to Alex. Room neat, not the biggest, breakfast OK. There is only one elevator, which is also not the most ringing.

It's fantastic. Located just 100m from the cathedral and the island of museums, its location is perfect. Everything is new, spacious rooms, complete and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Barbara. The buffet breakfast is fine, maybe a little bit of selection, but it really is more than enough. The price is reasonable, especially purchased with time, for very little more you enjoy a magnificent hotel very well located. I recommend it.

Why could I not get a cup of coffee after returning in the evening out of a cold wet night? Poor show and needs to be addressed.

The location is everything! Alexanderplatz is across the street, only 10-min. Walk to Berliner Dom and also 10-min. Walk to Hackescher Markt. Hotel room was clean and spacious, we stayed on the 6th floor so there was quite a nice view. Breakfast buffet was typical but had a good selection. HOWEVER, THE RECEPTIONISTS WERE UNFRIENDLY from the moment we arrived at the hotel where we were directed to park underground to checkin to checkout. I'm not sure if they were agist being that most guests are older and business people and we're in our late 20s, but still no reason to act and sound annoyed. I know that Germans are frank and direct but the receptionists were not German so it was definitely not that. One of the Spanish girls working there over the weekend literally *rolled* her eyes when we told her we didn't know which parking space she meant. LOL, seriously?! The other hotel staffers (not the front desk) were German and polite, though!

Perfect location for sightseeing. Also, staff was nice. I assume that the building is old and if you switch on conditioning system, the room has a sewerage smell after couple of hours. Room was comfortable and simple. Snacks in the fridge/bar were slightly overpriced.

Lovely room with tasteful decor. Staff have all been pleasant and helpful. Lift to rooms from reception, but small step to reception so not ideal for wheelchairs. Great shower, nice and powerful with decent toiletries provided. Also included are little touches like a nail file, sewing kit and shoeshine. Wifi is also free, if a little sluggish. The hotel is in the ideal location to explore Museum Island, and has lots of good places to eat very close. Very happy with our stay.

Hotel OK also the rooms are not bad but for the price I thought it was better! Breakfast from 7:30 to 10:00.30 rich enough but with the waiters who take the dishes while you eat.

This hotel is centrally located in Mitte and an easy walk to many of the tourist sites in Berlin. It is also located about a five minute walk to some great beer garden style restaurants which are located near the train station. The staff were really friendly and check in/out was easy and fast. The room itself was amazing! Spacious and well appointed.

Excellent hotel and very well located within walking distance of Alexander Platz, the staff very friendly and attentive to the needs of customers.
At breakfast, lovely a celiac person and every morning had prepared their bread and dessert gluten-free, and all the days varied, not to repeat.

Amazing staff. I cannot say enough good things about the people working here. Amazing. Hope management reads this. Literalloy perfect location. Rooms are totally spotless. The issue I had was the room temperature. Impossible to sleep due to the heat. Poor air circuation on the 6th floor. Also, the garbage trucks at 6:30AM are quite noisy.

I had stayed in this hotel at the first week of September 2015 and had the worst experience of my life. We had left a part of our money and jewelry in the locked suitcase inside the hotel room and when we returned from our sightseen those items had been stolen. Those items have only been left in the suitcase because the hotel safe was not working. Given those facts the hotel staff had a terrible attitude and did absolutely nothing to address the issue. In addition, the hotel refused to take responsibility for what happened even having been proved that the only person who accessed the room at that time was their maid. I’ve never imagined I would have this kind of problem in a 4-star hotel that charges they practice. There are much better and cheaper options to stay in Berlin. I hope this report will serve for others to give up from staying there, once they have such a terrible security system and that provide such a poor customer service.

Large room overlooking the front of the hotel, well cared for and delicious breakfast in an attractive restaurant area with glass roof. Didn't try the sauna even though it was one of the reasons I booked this place! Handy location for getting around, Christmas markets and getting to the airport. Staff were polite and helpful. Very much enjoyed!

Breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect for me. Staff was very very nice! However, it was not explained that for the last 2 days I'll get a very tiny room. In addition, at the front desk Juliana Suter was not so kind. When I complained about the tiny room, she said "that is what you get for the cheap room rate". However when I checked-out, she also tried to charge me extra 200 Euro, and canceled it only after she already charged it from my credit card, and in spite I told her that I got confirmation for a lower rate and only after I sent her an email that proved it. She was not like the other staff who were really kind and nice. I hope you can explain her that her duties are to be nice to the hotel guests. Hope to visit you again, Amit Tel-Aviv, Israel.

I arrived at Berlin Schoenefeld and got the S-Bahn into Berlin. The hotel is only 2 minutes walk from Hackescher Markt station. Check-in was straightforward, and the room was spacious and comfortable. I had breakfast at the hotel on the first morning (stayed for 5 nights), but felt it was overpriced and lacking in choice. There are numerous cafes and restaurants close to the hotel, and Museum Island, Alexanderplatz and the Brandenburg Gate are all within easy walking distance — an ideal location for exploing Berlin. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: — excellent location for transportation, eating out, walking around. Its better than actually living "on" alexanderplatz — very nice and friendly staff — food was very good and tastly — we had the business and suite rooms — both were very nice and comfortable*. cons: -* one room did not have AC in a very hot week. That could not be fixed and we did not want to move to another room because of family was in the neighbouring one. One night was almost impossible to sleep, and that was kinda the "Black" dot on the entire hotel experience. — the sofa was not ready for sleeping (no extra pillows, blankets etc), although we specifically mentioned in the reservation that we need them. This was solved however by calling the reception and asking. — We were supposed to get a free "gift" of our choice for each room. We chose a bottle of water but it was not in the rooms. When we asked for it, they sent only one, and we didnt want to be annoying and ask for the other one. — You get a Wi-Fi username and password for each person, and need to log in each time manually. A bit annoying but better than no Wi-Fi :)

We had a very good stay at the hotel, very friendly welcome and we were all very well helped. Our trip was interrupted by illness granddaughter and everything was very well organized, which our heartfelt thanks. If we go back to Berlin definitely go to this hotel.

Every thing was perfect at Hotel Alexander Plaza. The room was spacious, confortable and quiet. The breakfast was very good and complete. The staff was very kind and helpful to every request that I've made. I would stay again if possible.

We stayed here for four days. The hotel is very well positioned close to Hackescher market railway station and within easy walking distance of Unter den Linden and all the sights. A little noisy at night but nothing too much, probably because window was open. The WI FI is not great in the rooms but there is a free system in the hotel lobby. We had a superior room with a window which opens. Decor is plain, modern, fine. Very good size room, with high ceilings and beds very comfortable; plenty of wardrobe space. Bathroom small but quite adequate. All linen changed as necessary, very clean throughout. Enjoyed the breakfasts. Straightforward and very well laid out, nice seating arrangements in a modern and clean setting. The breakfast choices very good and service unhurried and calm. Overall, we enjoyed this hotel experience and have booked again for a month's time, hope it is as good as this time.

I was very satisfied about the hotel and the services. The rooms are very clean but soon it's time to change the carpet in our rooms. The breakfast is excellent and with a lot of choice. Great restaurants, bars and shops in the neighborhood. The hotel is well situated in the heart of Berlin and is a good connected to the public transportation system (train, bus, underground). Will we go again : yes.

This hotel is wonderful. The staff are friendly, the rooms are large and airy, wonderful and convenient location close to theTV tower and public transport. Just a really great experience. Highly recommend.

We visited Berlin for four days and spent three nights at the Hotel Alexander Plaza. The location is perfect for seeing the city. It is close to trams, U Bahn and S Bahn trains. The front desk staff were very nice, room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast could not have been better. We will definitely stay here again when returning to Berlin.

We came as a group of 23 people. Hotel was very good. Rooms where excellent. Staff was very helpful in organizing things for us like dinners, like a big dinner in the hotel, like buses and taxis and anything else we had in mind. The location is perfect, quite place but near all that was important for us including 2 minutes walk from the S bahn.

A perfectly friendly, nice and practical hotel located superbly close to about all the main sites in Berlin. Good for business and holiday. Very reasonable pricing as well. Excellent breakfast, really friendly personnel, clean and fresh rooms and even a sauna (only open in the evenings, not in the morning). Basic mini-gym with thread mill. Highly recommended.

A great place for all travellers and for business travelers stand in Berlin. Near S-bahn, shopping malls, attractions and restaurants. Excellent breakfast, good rooms, discreet staff. Good Wi-Fi.

Great location and very nice hotel! Hotel is situated 3 min walk from Hackescher's S-bahn and close to Alexanderplatz too. Lots of restaurants, cafe's and shopping near the hotel. We had a business room and I liked it a lot. The room was quite large, comfortable and clean. Our room was at first floor, the free Wi-Fi worked nicely.

Good location. The room was fine too, however I couldn't find 'Do Not Disturb' sign, so the cleaners kept budging in all the time which was annoying. Wi-Fi access was pathetic — had to type in the password almost every time after reconnecting, also the access went through a firewall that horribly mutilated DNS and resulted in broken VPN. Overall I think you can find a better place for the same price.

I returned with pleasure to the hotel Alexander Plaza always as well kept excellent welcome even in French excellent breakfast.

The reception on arrival was in order, as very unfriendly and educational. Furthermore, the introduction of the hotel life was very poorly kept, say according to the motto "learning by doing" the Wi-Fi of the hotels was useless weak. The rooms facing the street are too Schalloffen at midnight cleaning actions, the sleep was very affected.
The breakfast buffet was super class and also the respective operations were very friendly and obliging. The rooms were largely clean and sufficient. The location of the hotel is simply sensational. Upon departure, we had a very attentive young gentleman at the front desk helpful what supported us the Web check in and baggage terms.

Awesome, one of the best 4 star hotels that I have visited. Almost a year ago, but left me very good memory. A breakfast of the best I've seen in its category. Very comfortable, friendly staff. And above very good price.

We lived in a triple room (spacious), everything clean and despite central location very quiet in the hotel.
The only point of criticism: to little park area (parked then in underground garage at the Sealife).

The hotel is beautiful and in a very good location. Staff is friendly and the hotel is very clean.
The only criticism is the Wi-Fi, you must solve always tickets per device that then one day is valid. In the rooms, Wi-Fi despite good reception is not to use it only works in the lobby / bar. Hence you can stop what consumed ;) Is almost too obvious, too bad.
