We just stayed here for three nights and were totally impressed! The reception staff couldn't be more helpful and cheerful. The room was super clean and the blackout curtains made for a great sleep! The location was perfect… only five minutes to Anhalterbahnhof for the S Bahn! There's a Lidl nearby to but anything you need. The breakfast certainly needs it's own paragraph! It was so fresh and there was so much to choose from for vegans, vegetarians and carnivores! There were pastries, fresh fruit, fruit salad, cereals, breads and jams, cheeses and fold meats, fruit juices, many sorts of teabags and types of coffee, yogurts, hot eggs and meat along with lots of other things to choose from! I would stay here again when we come by to see your magnificent city again!

Unfortunately currently catastrophic service. No response to emails. Degree in the hotel, zero services for status members. In the room no remote control, cleaned well. Despite not disturbing sign is knocked etc etc. Breakfast very minimalistic. Bar supposedly closed but is all full of user glasses. Reception staff hardly understands and speaks German. Unfortunately absolutely not recommended from a stay here. Extra called that 2 bookings are merged, at checkin no one knew what…

Stayed for 5 days. Mostly good but not outstanding. Staff was ok. Room was clean and nice but a bit small (no closet or fridge). Breakfast was good but not very interersting. Perhaps the nicest thing and not the most obvious was that they let us stay for two more hours, checkout late.

Good budget hotel with good rooms and a good educated and serviceminded well prepared staff. Nice morning buffet and a good bar in the evenings. Located near checkpoint charlie and several restaurants as well as Berlins functional bus and subway system. Good value for the price.

Stayed here coming to Berlin. Very polite staff and delicious Aperol in the lobby bar. Breakfasts — for 4. The rooms are clean. Of the cons — very small rooms and no disposable slippers in the room.

I just asked for a fork and was told no. Not great service. Happy to provide me with two teaspoons in the room but not a fork.

The only criticism: Bad staff at the hotel bar! You could sit at the table for hours and no one would ask if you would like to drink anything! Finally, you have to wait a really long time for the drinks… very annoying!

As a family of three, we were in this hotel for the third time, which is still in very good condition.
The double bed in the family room could be larger, but the rooms are well insulated. Even the construction site directly next to the hotel was not heard — when the window was closed —.
Breakfast is fine but could be more varied. All in all, good value for money and conveniently located.

Fantastic hotel, clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is great with a wide selection of breads, warm croisants, cereals, tea, coffee, yoghurts, even cake! the only negatives were the shower head had black mold on it but everything else was perfect. The only other thing the guy that checked us in assumed my male traveller was paying the bill and kept addressing him instead of me. (female)

Very good hotel. Maybe the neighborhood is not the cutest, but its proximity to Potsdam Square made it interesting. Room and breakfast very good.

Very comfortable hotel to easily walk to PotsdamPlatz and then the city center. The Metro is still a five minute walk away. Car parking is available for an additional charge, about 22 euro/day. We still found free parking in the adjacent streets. The hotel is a little dated with so many rooms. Our room was not great. We stayed there in three with an added sofa bed which made the room a little cramped. The bathroom is very small and there is also no closet to store clothes, just a few hangers and small shelves. The presence of the carpet is a negative point because it is not hygienic. On the whole however clean, very comfy beds and quiet environment. Breakfast is plentiful, they are scarce hot dishes such as scrambled eggs or bacon. The staff is very friendly, helpful and we were fortunate to also find a receptionist who also spoke Italian. I recommend it anyway to those who want to use it as an essential point of support for a visit to the city.

My experience was very positive, the staff was helpful and the breakfast food was plentiful and suitable for any food habit (dairy products, cereals, fruit, eggs, meats, croissants, juices). Its location is strategic with regard to transport (the Metro is a few minutes). The rooms were small but comfortable.

Ideal location to visit Berlin. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room just, missing place to leave the clothes if you go for more than two days. The breakfast was very good. In conclusion, hotel as its name indicates Express, ideal to know Berlin with a very tight price. Highly recommended.

Brilliant location with plenty of local amenities. You will feel as though you are in the heart of the. Most of the attractions are reachable on foot. Plenty of bus tours within a short walking distance also. I can only recommend the area! The local transport system is really efficient also with plenty of options to get around.

The hotel has a very good central location. One is on foot quickly at Potsdamer Platz and comes quickly everywhere. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The arrival was smooth. The breakfast buffet was small but sufficient for a quick start to the day. The pitch is relatively expensive at 22 euros per day.

A hotel well located with a bus that passes in front of the door, plus a very close Metro station, breakfast very coarse and with different things to choose from. I give 3 stars because the housekeeping control to my room was not good on my stay.

The room was quite small but clean. The bed is very comfortable. There was no closet in the room but only a small wardrobe, i. E. The luggage must be hidden somewhere behind window curtains. Breakfast is considered bad. Only after a good coffee and croissant was the disappointment not so great.

The rooms are comfortably furnished, the bathroom was very large and everything was clean. The location is quite central. All in a reasonable price frame. Highly recommended.

Impeccable, parking a bit expensive but 800 meters from Check point Charlie. Breakfast a little light. The rooms are clean and there is no noise. Personally, I will come back.

Arrived, the rooms were not ready. They tell us to go back at 3pm. We return at 4pm, give us the key and we see that the room was still to be cleaned up. Luckily they gave us another one but that's not what I expect from a hotel.

Too many noises in the room, a condo just next door kept me awake because a baby was crying a lot at night. The sheets are not changed every day and the towels either. No coffee coffee maker as a small sachet of coffee, no spoon to mix the cup while I had asked in writing to leave it. The only advantage of this hotel is the breakfast and sights to visit which is nearby. The M40 bus takes you to the U7 Metro to Rudow to take the X7 to the airport of Flughafen Berlin — Dchonefeld, the Berlin Wall is 20 minutes from the hotel.

I've been there twice in this hotel. Both for vacation. Great location, close to the center. Well served by public transport. Both times I had to change the room. Excluding this discomfort, I recommend the hotel. Well maintained and welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful. It has a great breakfast buffet.

The room was better than in some four star hotels I was in. Very clean, modern, well equipped.
Since I am not so the breakfast person, there was also the choice for me more than adequate.

Located near the Tempodrom and close to the Sony Center. Very functional and modern furnishings. Room clean and equipped with everything you need for 1-2 nights. Very friendly staff. Breakfast, however, was like youth hostel level. Full and cluttered in the arrangement. Therefore 1 point deduction. Parking garage with €12 very expensive, for sure.

Booked the Hotel Holiday Inn Express in when very close to Potsdamer Platz and strategic location to visit Berlin according to our itinerary. Super abundant breakfast from pastas, to various sandwiches, to filling, yogurt, coffee, cappuccino, American coffee, juices and much more.
The rooms are quite clean, comfortable bed with choice of pillow, armchair, desk, TV that takes some Italian channel, but the thing that really left me puzzled the shower in the bathroom without box but with a tarp that had to allow the non-passage of water but Unfortunately the opposite, half bath with the floor to soak every time you showered.
Three stars more than you deserve if there was a shower stall were awarded 4, considering the fact that the price of the night is not low.

Dennis was awesome. Must of the staff speaks English. This location DOES NOT have laundry service. The rooms are a decent size. The blankets are comforters. The hotel is clean. The breakfast runs from 6:30am — 10:30 and it is buffet style. I would recommend this place.

Small 3 star hotel of the Holiday Inn chain that is mostly used for only a few nights, with underground parking. With 24-hour reception. Located in the centre of Berlin. But very close to the hitchhiking station and Potsdamer Platz (Sony Center with the IMAX of CineStar). Friendly, competent and helpful staff. Breakfast room with small but still nice quiet terrace behind the hotel. Delicious breakfast that is also always replenished quickly. Hotel, sanitary facilities and (functional) rooms have been clean and tidy at a trade fair weekend. Gladly again. :-)

Nice place to stay. Restaurants, market bus n metro stops are all close by. It's about 5 minutes drive away from the city centre.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Otherwise below average. Be green and decide whether change your towels or not. And then flush with the whole tank. Unbelievable. Simply, it's an old hotel, the best times are over and they simple don't seem to realize it and improve elsewhere, like breakfast for example. Very poor selection. Time the apart, the rooms are clean, we have not once checked if we accidentally have a single room booked. The room, we feel very small, which is probably due to the fact the we US relations are accustomed. The Breakfast is typical of the Country ok, the hotel staff are friendly.

Great welcoming upon arrival and smooth check-out. The girl who helped us with both is an excellent employee. Stay in general is good, good value to your money. Nice and decent breakfast, decent size rooms. Could use some better dusting and check for shampoo and soap. Were empty upon arrival, but fixed without nonsense at the Front Desk Security is a thing they can improve, no greetings or eye contact when entering the hotel. Anyone can enter the property, walk into the lifts and breakfast. Key element to hospitality is to see and to be seen. Overall a great experience. Recommended for city trip! When visiting Berlin in the future, I will be back.

Overall, it was a nice hotel for a quick overnite stay. No frills, but, then again, that's why it is an "… Express", as one hotel staff member told me. The details… Location: Between two major areas of Berlin, there is not much in the immediate vicinity, but a short walk away gets you to more active areas. Room: Modern, clean, fairly basic but sufficient. Nice quasi-couch to relax on. Plenty of outlets. Staff & check-in/out: Very friendly and fast. Breakfast: A very basic selection of meats, cold cereals, bread, yogurt, fruit (no scrambled eggs or sausages). Coffee, cappuccino, and juices. What was there was fresh and in sufficient quantities for the guest load. Amenities: A bar, "business area", and that's about it. (No fitness center. ) In conclusion, I would probably pick a different hotel, if I was staying for more than one night, because a fitness center is important to me. However, for a quick stay, or somebody or looking for many amenities, this hotel would be just fine.

Very nice hotel. Good service. Lots of options for breakfast, and was well run as there were a lot of guests. I also liked that they have an ice machine. Is in walking distance to a lot of tourist destinations. I would recommend this hotel to others visiting Berlin.

Built inside a building is very well cared for in detail, clean and strategically located for the center and the airport. At the reception we were greeted by receptionist in Italian.

The hotel is at nice location at the central of the city with good connectivity of transport. Rooms are clean but very small is in size. Also breakfast area is too crowded bet 8 to 9 am. We found that the plates and spoons not cleaned well. Rest of the things are fine.

Rooms are quite average, two lights not working and bathroom with a noisy fan you cannot switch off. Breakfast is not good with very less options and low quality. Parking is expensive, 22€ per day, when I was in a Holiday Inn in Hamburg 2 days ago and it was only 12€. Also, services don't exist here if you are not a member of their reward club: do you want to charge the parking to the room? Not possible if you are not a member. Do you want to charge a coffee to the room? Not possible if you are not a member If you want something cheap to sleep only and you are not demanding, this covers your most basic needs. Otherwise look for other options, there are many in Berlin within the same range.

Very clean Hotel and very spacious room. Friendly reception staff. Hotel is a 10-minute walk from Potsdamer Platz and 5 minutes from the Metro. It has outdoor parking and not monitored for 8 €/day.

Great service and really friendly staff. They were very accommodating and were happy to speak English to us and offer advice. Room was superb and the air conditioning was an absolute life saver.

Conveniently located a stone's throw from Postdammer you can walk very well from the nearby Metro. Court staff, clean rooms and Holiday Inn warranty.

We have spent 3 nights in the friendly Hotel. All the staff were friendly, nice and accommodating. The room was nicely arranged and clean. The Breakfast is quite adequate, offering a good selection and Fresh. Frightening how people from all over the world at the Breakfast buffet behaviour, the dish pack full, at the end of the large portion on the table or let it Stand; the looks then, as if ne B … taken. Disrespectful I call it. I admire the patience of the staff at Breakfast. The Hotel is located a few minutes from the S-Bahn Station. But also to the foot (if you like) to reach the most popular attractions. We are very happy to come again.

Distance to the center is pleasantly feasible on foot. The staff is mostly friendly. The single rooms are small but have a chest of drawers all you need. In front of my room in the hallway was a big water damage to the wall and I suspect mold. The only thing that really bothered me though was the offers on the desk (pictures below).

Not too much space in the room. If you contribute to some charity organisations be prepared that, despite what the flyer says, your towels won't be replaced. Good that there is tee and coffee in the room. Included breakfast are nothing special but still much better than nothing. Nice and helpful staff.

Everything was fine. Clean rooms, enough space. Sadly that we stayed on the second floor and windows were from the road side, I needed to close windows to sleep normally. The hotel is clean, good and easy to reach by public transport. The breakfest is good but not overwhelmingly complete. The beds are soft and nice but a bit small. Besides that we didn't like that we had to sleep next to a giant worksided including its noises.

Earlier this month, I stayed here for three nights. For me, the location of the hotel is very good, 10 minutes ' walk to Checkpoint Charlie, close to some good restaurants at reasonable prices. I try to avoid driving in the city centre, this hotel is perfect for. Walking for short periods of time and to the train station, take the s-Bahn, five minutes to Potsdam square. City sightseeing is easy from here. Room is very basic, but very clean, clean up very neatly.

LOWEST RATING POSSIBLE! And all based on customer courtesy and service. Checked in this Saturday August 22 and only 10 minutes later, I already had a key they wouldn't work, one employee look me directly in my eyes 4 times as she just grabbed her bag and walked away (no hello may I help you. No please wait, one of my colleagues will help you shortly, no I will be with you once I return) then as all other customers are checked in, the same front desk clerk that checked me in only 13 or so minutes ago at this point, looked me directly in the eyes and turned around as if he didn't mean to look at me. My response then was, "Yes, I do need help, my key is not working, and what is the lady's name that just left at 2:50 pm? She either can't be off yet, starting break or anything because who gets off at 10 minutes till the top of the hour? ". The guy's response was may I offer you a drink at the bar? Good gesture but I only wanted her name for the official review to IHG and still didn't get it. I will not be back here and cancelled my 2nd night here.

Very good location! super friendly staff, good Breakfast Service at Breakfast is exemplary! Room for family a bit small but clean, it is sufficient to use it only to sleep! we were running around happy would come again.

Good hotel. It worths the price. The breakfast is abundant and diverse, and the employees are gentle and kind. But the internet is limited to just 512 Kbps and the neighbourhood, although peaceful, is not what you expect from Berlin. Watch out if you arrive from Hallesches Tor. Use the bus M41 from Hauptbahnhof instead.

The economy room is too small. We used our agent to force them to upgrade us to a bigger room. The breakfast is poor. Need to say it again: Amazinglly poor. Bad coffee, boild egg, no omlets, almost nothing to eat for 'non-yogurt-eaters'. The personal are very nice, the hotel well preserved and clean. None smokers wich is good. Free Wi-Fi. Trasportation is ok, not excellent. The location in not near the center. There is a supermarkrt across the street. To sum: ok minus. We had an ok time, but not worth the money paid, since it's an expansive hotel.

Very good price/performance ratio. Rooms where clean and modern. Service is friendly. The Breakfast is for 3 stars is really good. S-Bahn and the bus stop is right around the corner. Outside, a little louder and the air conditioning is in the Winter just to warm adjustable, that was annoying. Would come back any time.
