Yes for the staff welcome reception hotel does not seem to me a 4 **** the rooms and bedding very well but the cleaning service not at the top I get rid of my cups of coffee from the old and we don't not clean the floor nor the bathroom nor is it m the bed will know why

Hotel Nice Riviera Is all about the location. It is within walking distance to nearly everything. Our room was small but clean. The ac worked better than the ac at the Marriott in Paris. It is a no frills hotel but I am not in Nice to stay in a hotel. The beds and pillows were comfortable.

The service and help in finding places was excellent. The hotel was very clean and we would not hesitate to stay there again on our next visit. We will recommend your hotel to anyone who travels to Nice. Good job to the entire staff.

Fan in bathroom not working. This did not remove toilet/drain smells. Perhaps someone could ask diners not to obstruct aisles in dining room. This made getting back to our table a nightmare. Coffee machine seemed a problem. Either drinks were not obtainable and on a few occassions I was supplied with a cup of water rather than coffee. Our room, 401, was next to the lift and was subject to noise. This was worse due to a visit my many disabled guests in wheelchairs assembling to use the lifts which could only take a few at a time resulting in loud conversations giving concerns that it was a fire evacuation.

A warm welcome and a smiling staff. Very nice! And very listening! We can ask them advice for restaurants, leisure to carry out or to go during the stay. I recommend!

Had a great stay. All staff were very friendly and informative. All spoke very good English. The Hotel is located in a prime position with easy access to shops, beach, and it’s many pavement cafes and restaurants and train station all within walking distance. We chose the room only option, so cannot comment on the food. The hotel was very clean, although the stair area, could probably do with a bit of a face lift and the carpet cleaning. Also the view outside of the window was not great, the land could do with a good tidy up. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would even return again I would rate the hotel and our stay at 10/10.

The location of the hotel is good, not far to the beach, train station and restaurants. Unfortunately, the breakfast was so bad that we only fed on cakes for 5 days. The breakfast room was lovelessly furnished, extremely noisy, as the kitchen is right behind. The buffet was loveless, hardly fresh fruit or vegetables. Throughout the hotel, especially in the room was a very unpleasant smell. We were very much looking forward to Nice and this hotel, unfortunately we were very disappointed and can not recommend this any further.

Good central location. English speaking staff are friendly and most helpful. My double room though compact was, clean and had all the basic requirements. Hotel is situated close to some very good restaurant's and within easy walk to Nice railway station. Has bar and restraunt. It also has a small pool and fitness center Would recommend it for a short stay.

We had booked for a suite, which we never saw the color of. We ended up in a simple room, with toilet swirls in the morning. The hotel was supposedly accommodated by a restaurant, finally being a 15 minute walk away. To top it all off, lunch was not offered with proper utensils but rather plastic. Similarly with regard to coffee, an espresso machine was available, but no homemade coffee.
It was a gift at 400 and we find that it is really not worth it! We are very disappointed with the service, this is a hotel we will not recommend.
The only positive point is the welcoming reception.

Me and my boyfriend were there for 4 days, booked the hotel via a website for "superior hotels for cheap".
First thing we realized when we arrived, besides the 80's style of the interior (but not the good ones), was the chlorine smell out of the so called "spa".
breakfast was soso (put nicely, I just ate the croissant, the rest…) and staff really slow.
Best part: my forgotten 400 EUR suit magically disappeared and was no where to be found. This I also just found out after continuous calls and emails, which were ignored in the first place (i have that all in writing…).
Reception staff was friendly. this is supposed to be a four star hotel; I really expected more on all levels, but the thing with the suit really took the bun. Disappointed is an understated expression.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Lovely comfortable bed, really nice clean modern bathroom and great shower, great location, very nice pool & an absolutely brilliant staff. They were so helpful with every question asked and really tried their very best to help you with anything you needed. When in Nice, I'll no doubt be back again!

The staff is friendly. The choice for breakfast is varied. Maybe the tables should be cleaned up a little faster and better. But I am aware that it is not easy. Otherwise, nice hotel and Nice.

Not to top up As a City hotel. Very professional Reception. Executive room with Sun Loungers, highly recommended. Room somewhat spartan, but Size and Quality of the Bath appropriate to the category. Breakfast European and good.
For a City Holiday of two Days, we would book again at any time.

Great hotel. Friendly service both reception and room-service. Beautiful spacious modern rooms. Bath large well equipped. Breakfast very sumptuous and great quality. Spa area not huge but good in shot. Very nice.

Fantastic location and service from the front of house staff were the main positives. The room was large and well furnished, however we had booked a double room and were given a twin and due to lack of availability of a room with a double bed we had to make do with two single mattresses with a double sheet over the top which wasn't very comfortable. The air conditioning was very weak so had to leave the door to the balcony open, which lead to both of us getting numerous nasty mosquito bites — insect repellent is a worthwhile investment. The room and bathroom were well cleaned by housekeeping, however we found cigarette butts on our balcony and there was an unpleasant smell of sewage when returning to the room after it was cleaned if the windows were closed. The breakfast seems overpriced at €18 each per day (£11 if booked in advance) as you can get fantastic food in cafés lining the atmospheric market nearby for half the price.

A warm welcome and a perfect service (always someone to answer your questions), a nice hotel and especially a smiling staff. We had a great weekend.

Great welcome! Thanks to Rémi (I managed to remember the first name) hotel very clean and really J insists the welcome there is warm. It's really fun! The Spa very good. I recommend.

Location was nice and the service was super friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. Did not use but pool and spa was available. There was free Wi-Fi but most of the time could not get a signal. The air conditioning didn't seem to work well.

It was a great little hotel. The staff are very accommodating. The beds are comfy and it is close to old Town and the beach. The only bad thing about the place was they only gave one card for the room. And have the energy saving card use so it is easy to forget. The AC did not seems to really work either so it got hot in the room.

Strategic location in the center of Nice, small room, breakfast with fresh food with little variety, indoor swimming pool and whirlpool, but no bathrobe available or slippers and… Water in the rather messy whirlpool.

It is the third consecutive year that we go to the Nice Riviera with family and other families and all the years we are always very satisfied for the welcome really familiar and for the exquisite kindness. The rooms are clean and manicured, the pool is a great time to relax for adults and children and the breakfast is good and plentiful. What about… we will be back again next year since we love nice!

Great location, amenities, and services. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially Remi. Loved the robe and slippers and cell phone charger without the need for a converter. Nice balcony, but did not like that we had to open its doors to get air due to no air conditioning. Room would get stale and hot, and noise from the City made it hard to sleep. Did appreciate the 5th floor location of room. Great hotel for the money.

Level Hotel, SPA equipped.

Hello the hotel is ok and well located but we were disappointed with the spa which looked bigger in the photo. With 8 clients including young adults playing ball, the space was well saturated. Also the instructions for its use were confusing, to have bathrobes one asked several times and made return trips.

Enjoyed our stay at The Nice Riviera. Clean & comfortable, pleasant helpful staff. Good fairly central location.

Air conditioner is broken. Menu of breakfast not good… service very slow…

Difficult access to the car park by the elevator. The elevator (the only one that worked, the other was in repair) was sometimes dirty due to its use for the work, in question, the staff of the company that borrowed it, not very careful!
Otherwise very pleasant welcome, the smiling staff always ready to inform you and do you a favour.

This is an address that I keep, because if we were to return to Nice, I would return. In addition, we discovered a very good restaurant "Café GUSTAVE" located about thirty meters from the hotel.

In regards to the home I give a 10/5! Staff more than friendly, smiling and very accommodating! For the spa, it is not necessary to expect not more than the water in the jacuzzi is changed every day so, ladies and gentlemen, be indulgent! I find that the environment is clean enough if we respect the fact that you cannot walk in the shoes city at the edge of the pool. And for the rooms they are very spacious and the beds comfortable. The products provided are changed daily and towels. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful hotel! Pleasant and helpful staff, execllent location and great facilities. Staff were always going above and beyond, especially reception staff. Location was fantastic — very close to the Promenade, the port and the bus stop to catch the bus to Monaco. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family for a wonderful break to Nice.

I loved the hotel and the staff is really very welcome, it is very nice. The only negative is that the jacuzzi when it comes to the end of the day it is not very clean. But all in all I liked it a lot, it is really nice to come home to you. A thousand thanks for your welcome. ;-)

The pool and hot tub could have been better, but there was a nice little gym with a shower off to the side of the pool. Small bar, but good breakfast buffet.

The hotel was fine for our needs, was in a decent location and was ok for the price we paid. There is no way this is a 4* hotel though. The rooms are fairly basic, they also have wooden floors so you can hear every movement in the rooms above. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were also very basic but functional.

Hotel that does not deserve the 4 stars. Room dirty and bed poorly made, shower leaking so the whole bathroom flood. Access to spa and separate from the bar with 1 curtain It's not top, small pool dirty Jacuzzi and nozzles not working all, sauna small and dilapidated the door does not even close. I'm really disappointed

Gym was a complete joke and the reception area/bar just smelled of chlorine. Building/room was old and dated. This Hotel wasn't a 4 star more a 3 star. No shower cap nor robes was provided. Room service was just fresh towels thrown. Over priced Hotel. Only good thing about this Hotel was the location.

Great location, one block from the main shopping street, and 10 mins on foot from the old town, super friendly staff. The rooms are 'okay'. Floors 4, 5 and 5 have been recently renovated to a good standard. The floors below are a little dates and tired.

Enjoyed the proximity to the hotel to the mall, beach and restaurants, The staff were very courteous and helpful. The museums and activities around the area were fantastic. The public transportation system was easy to manage and convenient. Enjoyed my stay here and will return.

Even before our arrival, we were made to feel that our visit to the Nice Riviera Hotel was going to be something special — we were not disappointed! From the moment we stepped foot late in the evening, the front of house staff made us feel very welcome and this continued throughout our stay. The rooms were perfectly located (as requested) and beautifully equipped. All of the staff were very helpful regarding what to see and how best to get there. We had a great time!

Very friendly staff, really top! Only downside the cleanliness in the room, dust on the furniture, below the bed, on the Térasse and a cleaning done to the fast goes which is not worthy of a 4 star according to me, it is a pity.
Also the SPA was a little small but good we took advantage anyway.

The location is great, great for shopping, lots of options to go for food, nice shops in the nearby Area. At the beach it would be good to know that a reservation for sun beds and parasols is not possible for the same day. To go swimming you need "beach socks" or water shoes if you are not used to walking Barefoot.

Hotel location very good. Clean and silent. Personnel (most of them) were were kind and helpful. The view from the room was not so nice, but while we spend in the hotel only nights it does not matter. A fridge was good. Water in the pool and especially in the jacuzzi was terrible unclean (caused inflammation in the eyes).

Great location for spending a long weekend in Nice. Upper floors at the hotel have been fully refurbished to a good standard. Lovely rooms, bathrooms and comfortable beds. Staff were all very helpful especially Barbara on Reception. Continental breakfast was acceptabl but attention needed to ensure food and drinks are replenished promptly. A wider choice of fresh fruit would have been preferable. We loved Nice as there was plenty of choice of restaurants, cafes and bars as well as an array of great shops, tours, and a lovely beach but we found it very expensive.

The hotel is a bit dated and actually deserves only three Stars. However, I rarely experienced such friendly staff at the Reception. That's Why I give four stars.

Great stay in a fully renovated room! A perfect welcome, a very friendly staff, helpful and very attentive to the customer. Hearty breakfast, parking very enjoy. The only small negative is the spa that has our taste was too dilapidated. The location is top to redo!

Fabulous hotel in a great location. Facilities are very good including very comfortable beds, tea and coffee making facilities in room, very efficient air con and spa/jacuzzi/sauna. Staff extremely kind and helpful and always ready to give useful information. This hotel is really in the hub of things and you can't beat it in that respect. We used the bar snd also enjoyed the extensive breakfast. Well done got the wonderful service. Mr and Mrs Lock.

Old and outdated rooms with slow Wi-Fi, but the location is great and the customer service is outstanding. We arrived early morning at 8:30 and the staff allowed us to check in more than 4 hours early free of charge.

The room was a little on the small side and the back facing view was terribly unspectacular, but other than that it was very clean, the location was excellent and the staff were very friendly. An overal pleasant experiance.

Staff very nice home and classroom… but clean rooms again, deco a little dated. Benefits not at the height of a 4 stars. Breakfast sufficient if it was a hotel… The smell of chlorine very pronounced at the reception. In short: Hotel Nice magre, well located, but with a star less and lower prices, it would be better.

Hotel well located, halfway through the train station and the beach, making it easy to reach Nice's most reknown sites (old city, ancient castle, etc). The premises are a bit outdated but the staff is friendly and helpful.

The hotel is perfectly located, in the centre of town, so 5 minutes walk to the main square, 10 minutes to the sea front, or 15 mins to the train station. The rooms were clean and comfortable, slightly dated, but only in a style way not wear. Although our room overlooked the main street on the front of the hotel, there was no street noise to disturb us. There is free Wi-Fi (that worked) throughout the hotel. The indoor swimming pool and sauna was a real bonus. However what gave this hotel a step up was the way they handled our arrival. The arrangements from the booking agent had not reached them. No problem, take a seat and let us give you a drink whilst we sort it out out. All done five minutes later and bags carried to the room for us.

Very good location, close to beach and main street. Breakfast was just ok considering it was included with room. Indoor swimming pool is a bit small but better than nothing, jacuzzi was broken on 1 occasion. Room size adequate, no problems with cleanliness, air-con not very effective. All staff polite, friendly and good English speakers.

The good: The hotel is conveniently located, 15-20 walk from the train station and 5 minute walk to a private beach (ask for the Opera coupon). The staff speaks fluent English and are very attentive. The pool is a bonus as it was warm and really worked for the rainy day after we were done with the tour (ask for the Private driver around € 60-80 per person) and couldn't go to the beach. The rooms we're good, typical European room with not a lot of sq footage, but comfortable beds. The bad: The breakfast service was hideous. Coffee was undrinkable and the pastries an insult considering we were in France with a great bread tradition. All the fruit was canned with the exception of watermelon and cantaloupe. Definitely not the best option. The ugly: The rooms accused of some deterioration and lack of attention. Mold in some areas and a barely functional a/c. The worse was the blood or wine stains on the mattress! I wanted to vomit when I saw them! The hotel changed the mattress pillow top, but the pdsd didn't let me sleep my last night there. The hotel manager contacted me later to refund one night as a compensation for this problem, but still was pretty disgusting. Overall a nice hotel, but NOT a 4. It's a mid of the road 3 star hotel.

Nice hotel, good location, comfortable and pleasant. The indoor pool is nice, but having stayed a day of rain, small holes in the ceilings were dripping of rain water in the pool. Absence of restoring some evening. In the end, good hotel but a little expensive. Stay in October 2014.

A very cosy small hotel with great location. 5 min walk to Promenade des Anglais and other sights. Cheerful staff and spacious rooms. Seems like it's been recently renovated. Smells like lavender in corridors:)

Great location for exploring Nice on foot. I liked that it had a big corner entrance, a lot of the other hotels we saw had entrances which blended in with the shops either side of them. The staff were very friendly and helpful and in case your French isn't up to scratch they spoke good English. Breakfast was basic, but it was sufficient enough to keep us going. The indoor swimming pool was quite small and during our week long stay we didn't see anyone using it (probably because the weather was so good outside! ).
