Review of Hotel Paris Louis Blanc 3*

TERRIBLE! We arrived and were given a room, when we got to it I couldn't believe how smelly and dark it was, I walked around the bed and found the carpet to be wet through so I went to reception and was given another room, I got to that one only to find it dirty and unmade from the previous customer. Eventually we got a third room and basically got put in the smallest most disgusting room I've ever seen, ignore the photos on the website because they don't show the hotel at all. The bathroom was appalling with mould and grime and seemed to be falling apart. The room was next to the stairs with a door that seemed to be getting slammed all night and there was no safe or ironing facilities in the room as advertised. The area that the hotel is in felt very unsafe after dark so I was glad to have a metro station just across the road. I managed to get hold of the manager the following morning having had a terrible nights sleep and eventually was upgraded to the 'premium' room, admittedly it did seem slightly nicer than the room I had been in but so would a garden shed, at least there was some space to move. The next 3 nights were average at most, the mattress had such a dip in that it was like sleeping on the side of a mountain and I've never known so much noise, the walls seem to be made from a single sheet of tissue paper. The hotel didn't charge for the 'upgrade' and gave me the parking for free which helped the situation slightly but that said I'd rather pay the full money and not have the problems. All in all a very poor quality hotel in a less than desirable seeming area. Oh and there's a police station next door so make sure you like sirens.
