Spend three day two night there. They were friendly (even at 1am) they called before entering my room due to having dogs with us. Breakfast was ok. Room was warm, clean. It was a great experience for the $60 a night we paid. Pool was warm and nice. Only thing would be nice if the had a clock in the pool room and enforced no children after 10pm.

Traveling through Canada, my parents booked me a room through this pitiful places website and called to make sure that the card holder did not have to be present for me to have my room. Not only did they refuse to honor what they said ("It's a 3rd party site/number so we can't guarantee what they said") they still held the $300 security deposit even though they would not give us a room. So they can take money if the cardholder isn't present, they just don't render a service. Right up the street from this Inn of lies is a couple wonderful places that honor what they say. I understand policies, and that it isn't really the employees fault, but I'll be damned if they didn't treat me like they had just watched me punt a puppy onto the freeway. Be cautious and check you credit card statements if you choose to stay here.

Does exactly what it says on the advert… Clean quiet room hot shower, comfy bed, lovely staff and reasonable price. X.

Bed was comfortable, but the rooms were not what was advertised online. The air conditioner barely worked, the shower sucked, and the elevators was scary! As well as the elevators did not have their certificates to operate. I booked a room on the ground floor, as I have a disability, and can not walk far distances. We were put on the 6th floor in the furthest room from the elevators. Would not recommend ever!

Overall a very awful hotel to stay at. The entire hotel itself looked very bad just on its own, in a not so great area with pretty bad staff as well. Their free breakfast was incredibly pathetic and frankly, I didn’t trust to eat anything other then the coffee that was barely even a full cup. The hotel room was said to be a queen sized room, yet didn’t turn out that way when we arrived to the hotel. The bathroom looked like the inside of a prison and 90% of what was in there, was damaged in some way. There was no room service and noticed a lot of suspicious people walking around outside at night. The only good thing was the bed. Other then that, it was awful. Not worth it.

Let me clearly state this truth to the owners and management of this hotel without any bias. I am a management consultant and frequently travel and stay in hotels across North America. A close friend of mine suggested to stay in this hotel to review. I was shocked to notice the following: 1. AC in the room was so noisy that we slept with ear plugs on. 2. Bathroom shower made so much noise. 3. Breakfast pathetic — stale eggs, no tea when asked the employees very rude response 4. Bed cover comes off as soon as you lie down. The only saving grace was that the bed was comfortable. Please in order to survive in this industry do a facelift of your hotel. Even if you have to increase the rent by $10 provide warm and fresh breakfast, change AC and bathroom faucets, bed cover with fitted sheets. Make it more welcoming. Thanks.

Got an online deal here for 99$ a night. And that's about what u get I guess. Rooms small, rooms smell, outdated, mattresses feel like hard springs, bathroom meh, shower had yellow spots on the roof. Screws loose on the shower knob. Small pool and no hot tub? I'd spent 30-40$ more and go somewhere nicer. Edit: pool is disgusting. Water isn't clear and tasted like old man balls…

For the cost of the room I am very happy. I could have used the pool and gym, but choose not to. It is also right next to Cruise Canada, really handy for picking up an Rv after an international flight.

We had 2 rooms booked and were to be side by each. They never received my email regarding this. We were early for check in and understandably the rooms were not ready so we came back at 3pm and the rooms were still not ready. When the rooms did become available, one would have been on the first floor and the other on the fourth. Not accommodating at all. Renovations had been taking place for quite some time and they neglected to inform us at the time of booking. As well, the pool was closed. Not impressed by the demeanour of the woman that assisted us. Would not recommend this hotel what so ever.

The front desk staff were unwelcoming and downright rude. The sheets in the room were slightly dirty and all crinkled (quite obviously unwashed after the previous guest's stay). The shower was dysfunctional cause the water wouldnt drain out, so pretty much completely useless. The telly didn't work. And not that I ever end up using it, but the lotion, conditioner, shampoo bottles weren't even changed after the previous guest. It looks like a decent hotel when you enter the front doors and have the name of a huge franchise to boast but they could definitely use some (major) renovations, a slightly polite staff, and most certainly the concept of cleanliness.

Our stay at Travelodge Airport Calgary was extremely disappointing. The staff was oft rude, the air conditioners (we had three rooms) we all broken in separate ways. One of the Windows was busted. The TVs allowed you to watch channels for maybe about 10 minutes before switching back to the main screen. The international breakfast was lacking but that was overshadowed by how incredibly rude the staff down there was to us and everyone around. To top it off all the vending machines on our floor were out of order (as well as the bathroom in the pool). If there was one good thing to say, it's that the beds were comfy and the pool is warm.

Initially unhelpful clerk didn't offer solution to our problem until we figured it out ourselves and suggested it, when she reluctantly admitted that we could do that. Also refused to check that my employer gets me a discount there (it does). Offered a $5 discount per night instead of the 15% off of Best Available Rate I am supposed to receive.

First floor rooms don't seem to be maintained, found two bugs. Otherwise it is decent place to crash for short time. Internet doesn't work 90% of the time.

Well, we got what we paid for! Wanted a cheap hotel and this place qualifies. Non smoking room, but it doesn't matter because the smoke smell from the adjoining rooms and hallway permeates everything. Another guest was complaining about the smoke smell when we checked in. Should have been a warning. Aside from the smell, it was quiet and the free breakfast was decent.

Decent place to sleep. The rooms were clean and everything seemed ok, There is free breakfast but didn't get to try it. There was a long wait for the check in with one guy handling the check in and answering calls at the same time. The hotel had too many doors that made it difficult for people with luggage. The Internet speed was not that good. The room next to our room appeared to be a hotel office and there was a loud conversation. There are decent restaurants nearby. To summarize, there are better places nearby.

Don't stay here! After reading through the reviews we decided that because it was just one night it should be fine even though the place sounds like a dump, big mistake. We booked 2 months in advance for a park and fly for $70 and $3/Day for parking after 7 days. We show up and they want $99 + $5 a day for parking. They explain that the prices have changed since we booked. There were 4 other ppl at the counter, in an uproar about the same thing. We end up paying $85 + $5/Day for parking. We ask for the airport shuttle that's included in the price of the room for 5am. They say that it's full and the next one wasn't till 6am. We called ourselves a cab. Leaving in the morning with the cab at 5:20am there shuttle van is still parked, empty and doesn't look like it's moved in a while, to lazy to get up at 5am I guess… We return from our flight and the battery s dead in our car. I asked for a boost and it was a flat out no. There rooms are disgusting, service sucks, and it's still a $25 cab ride to get to the airport.

Old hotel and cleanliness.

Not very clean. Professional but not friendly staff like in other poati of Canada. Buonq breakfast albeit with little variety.

The service at the front desk was unbelievably slow, and very unprofessonal, we booked through Expedia, and paid upon booking we arrive at the hotel and she said it requires a $200 damage deposit on our debit which was fine, but then proceed to take off the deposit aswell as a room charge, we did get it all back upon check out but be aware and watch closely If you book online, the floor we were on was extremely noisy due to a party going on, the rooms were not up kept well, where the air conditioning is in the wall, there was a hole and you could see right outside, shower had no pressure and the roof had water stains from a previous leak, we asked for a towel, they said they would bring us one, we waiting over half an hour and Noone came. We checked out the same night, Very unhappy and would never recommend this hotel. I work at a Wyndham hotel, and I was very disappointed with this establishment.

Absolutely the worst hotel I've ever been in. The service is terrible the rooms are disgusting and small and the smell is awful. I called the front desk four times for a cot and waited over 45 minutes just to tell me there wasn't a cot included in my stay after I requested one while I booked the room earlier that day. The front desk argued with me over that for four minutes. I would not recommend anyone stay here at all. If I can give zero stars I would. I have no idea how they can conduct business this way.

The rooms were good for a quick visit to the city. The rooms were cleaned daily and the attendants were very nice and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone who wishes to stay in Calgary or surroundin area.

This hotel is HORRIBLE! We called to make reservations and were told it is a $20 fee for pets per night. When we got there we were told it's $20 per pet per night. Then we finally get through the rude front staff to a cold room. We changed rooms and still had no heat!

The rooms were small but adequate. The power outlets weren't all working. The pool is nice but the overall experience has been mediocre. The price reflects that.

Stayed the night for an airport dropoff. Rooms were clean, and we had everything we needed. We asked for a cot for a last minute 3rd person, and they upgraded us at no extra cost. Excellent, quick and efficient service. Would recommend.

So I booked this hotel for Feb/2016 for my trip to calgary. I picked this hotel because it was close to where my friend lived and he said it was not bad place. I booked it for 2 nights which came to abt 150$ all together. It worked out to be about 75/night so YES it's cheap compare to others but I would have paid an extra 25/night if I'd knew how disgusting this hotel was. First of all, the airport shuttle was no where to be found. So I called the hotel and front desk staff told me that the shuttle will be there at 12:20AM and told me to wait by piller 16 at the airport. I went outside at 12:10 AM in — 8 degree temperature and waited… and waited. Finally, after freezing myself for 25 mints I called the hotel again and they told me the shuttle got a "flat tire" and couldnt make it. So I asked them how long that's gonna take, he said maybe another 20 mins. So finally I had to wake up my friend to come pick me up at 1am. Finally got to the hotel and there was the shuttle parked right outside the hotel with all original tires (no spares). I am a mechanic by profession so I know these things. Got to my room and it was disgusting. The bed was so uncomfortable that I couldn't sleep for 2 days. Everytime I tossed and turned and other side of the mattress would flip right onto me and cause me to fall off. I think the bed was broken from underneath. I didn't feel like touching anything in the room because it looked dirty and yellowish.

BED BUGS! My boyfriend stayed here and woke up with bed bug bites and found them in his room! Even outside of the bed bugs, this place is absolutely disgusting!

Prompt service. Clean rooms. Unfortunately not all amenities are located in every room, would have been nice to have a fridge without an extra charge.

My family and I booked three rooms at the Sunridge Travel Lodge and we booked in our four pets as they accommodate them. We had such a horrible experience and would never return or recommend this hotel to anyone we are actually contacting there head office. First after four hours of being in the hotel getting settled and such we get told to move to the 1st floor because we have animals when they knew we walked in with them. They also did this to our friends staying at the hotel. Our beds were old and hard, some had stains, two rooms had little to no heat. And the worst part is the front desk staff. They are rude, talk over you and won't listen to you or anything your trying to say. We are all laid back people and we arnt rich pretty normal income so I mean a hotel is a hotel. But when the motels are cleaner, friendlier and more accommodating that's sad. Wish our experience was better and that I had something good to say. Btw there websites photos are doctored this hotel is not as nice lol.

I have a super tiny budget! So This is my go to hotel wen me and my bf need to get away from our family homes. Last year this location got 5 stars. Easy. But its obvious that they must b under new ownership bcuz the last 6months theyv gone waaaaaay down in every area. Staff. Service. Rooms. Housekeeping. Everything. Im super easy going and understand that a bill $100 is the lowest in HOTEL price for smoking room NE calgary. Below that, u will only afford crack Motels. Depending on how picky/hi maintanance u are… this is my opinion from someone whos spent at least 1night a month. So here: Smoking rooms : almost all rooms have fd up air condition unit. Like a couple rooms; the knobs are completely dislocated and dirty. Like the whole unit is discolored yellow… I always use toilet tissue to turn the knobs (when theyr working. ) Over all not bad bed & bedding. Not dirty. Remember people: sleep INSIDE THE WHITE ON WHITE SHEETS. The outside layer is just a cover & often doesnt get washed after every visitor. Some rooms have fridge. Some dont. Almost all standard smoking room have no microwave. The TV was great. PPV movies & decent channel selection but recently for some reason u must call the front desk to like turn on ur ability to PPV. Never used to… New ownership…? Maintanace service sucks terribly! One time recently. Waited an hour. Literally a full hour for a plunger! After calling front desk 3 times asking for one.

Absolutely horrible hotel! The rooms were disgusting, the blankets were not cleaned at all, full of stains that looked like coffee. There was so must dust in the windows. The carpets looked like they had not been cleaned in so long. The staff were so rude and disrespectful. Completed tried to rip me off. I ate at the restaurant that is attached to their hotel which I ended up getting very sick from. This hotel has a lot of hookers that stay in the rooms and hangout around the entrance doors, which did not make me feel safe. — I am an avid traveler and this had to of been the hands down worst experience I have ever encountered.

To bad you can't do half a star or no star. This place is filthy. Transfered me 4 rooms before I even bothered to stay in one. Wasn't able to get a refund cause I had prepaid on a travel site. The maids are horrible at cleaning. Smashed hole in the wall and broken chair in the first room. Melted heater until and glass from a broken window. The window hadn't even been replaced in the second room. 3rd room had so much dust on the dark carpet almong the bed and wall there was a grey lines solid with condiment wrappers and food scraps all under the bed. 4th room still covered in hair because it's been so long since they changed the skirt on the bed. Steeped with this room. Trip was already being ruined by the unpleasent hotel. Guess I will aim to explore around town. This place is a dive.

I will never stay here again. Pubic hair in the beds and bathtub in two different rooms, no answer at the front desk after trying to call several times, and a suggestion that we "take a cab" when they lost our reservation for the hotel shuttle. Will never stay here again.

It was very gross on the inside, booked through cAa Alberta not impressed. Loud music party rooms pretty much gave us a smoking room didn't even ask and the people are decent some nice some rude foods decent good service and they have a nice pool but if you want a decent hotel don't book here.

The room was horrible! When we entered it was extremely warm the tiny air conditioning unit was barely blowing any cool air. Then I went into the bathroom and there was no toilet paper anywhere. We went to the front desk to get some toilet paper, coffee, cups, and see if someone could fix the air. The young man there said he didn't have any supplies and gave us a key to another room and said to go in and take what we needed. When the shuttle driver came back he came in to look at the air and we pointed out the black mold growing on the vent of it, he looked and said the knobs had been removed to adjust it and asked if we had a plier. He did offer to move us to another room, but we where tired and then he gave us vouchers for breakfast the next morning. When we went to breakfast, there was 4 of us, we all had the same breakfast. We ordered our how we wanted our eggs, and what toast, and meat we preferred. I was the last to order and part way into my order the waitress says, "You on a diet? " Very offensive. Would never go back or recommend this hotel!

I had the worst night ever in this hotel. I think it should not even be called as hotel. They don't have a nice staff. I was surprised when the room was too small and worthless I regret going there they have hidden charges we came to know when we were checking out. They don't even have water to drink in the room not even 1 bottle. The beds were poor. No body ans the phone if you call from your room. The major thing that happened was someone hit my new challenger in the parking lot and when I asked the front staff for help by looking in the cameras they said they don't have any. I mean they have a big parking lot and no cameras. They said they don't take the responsibility for the parking lot which belongs to them. I talk to the police officer he told me that this thing happens a lot in their parking lot people have same complaints. I regret going their and will advice everyone to be safe and don't go their. My experience was very very very poor.

Rooms filthy, service terrible, staff rude and abusive, even to each other. An absolute wreck of a hotel. First night, room had no light in bathroom. Second room had greasy hand prints in the shower and the toilet didn't flush, gave me free breakfast in the morning, coffee was never refilled, no water offered, and once we asked for it, never refilled, two out of three orders where wrong and got bacon instead of sausage. Not sure how housekeeping cleaned the washroom with no light, or cleaned the toilet if it didn't flush. Second night, ordered a fridge at 3pm, maintenance comes to the room to ask if I wanted the small or large, and never returned. Air conditioner broken, no screen on window, window latch broken, can't lock windows on a first floor suit. Waited an hour for a burger and two steak sandwiches at the restaurant, only one other customer there at the time. Orders came with no coleslaw, despite the menu stating all burgers and sandwiches come with fries and coleslaw, asked for coleslaw, and was told they had none, asked for a salad as a substitute, was told yes, then another server came to tell me my burger did not include coleslaw, person with the steak sandwich ignored. Was given 7up instead of ginger ale, because they where out of ginger ale, instead of asked what I would like instead. Server did not come by to check drinks once, Came to see if we where almost done, looked over the table, and left us with empty water and soda glasses.

Not much to like other than friendly front desk staff and prompt service when asking for a cot. For the price the room was exceptionally tiny and the cot barely fit in the room. Water pressure was like that of a watering can and the place had an old and dated smell, look and feel.

For the price I paid I was not impressed. The hotel itself is falling apart. It does not look luxury at all. There is noise all night long, which I think was a malfunctioning piece of equipment. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff however, was very nice, but that's all this place has going for it.

Consumer beware! its a sad thing to say but these comments are not meant to take any jobs away or make any trouble for anyone. I booked through Hotwire and I regret it so much but truth be said even if I had known the name of the hotel we were booking we could not have imagined or foreseen how bad and run down this hotel is. The pics are deceiving completely. The staff are very quick to move you from one room to another but how many times can you do it? The morning staff were unbelievable! rude and made us feel like we were difficult customers. Only pics can speak a thousand words — the ill made beds, dirty bed linen, bathroom, carpet, torn curtains, broken nicked furniture, peeling paint, holes in the wall letting in cold air!, tiny rooms, filth, everywhere and we were paying guests! on a holiday! The rooms were booked for 2 adults and 2 children with breakfast as part of the deal and we had to fight to get the free breakfast so we got 2 coupons! what about the rest we asked? and the hotel staff made us look like we were asking too much. Not a smile to be given by the staff. Would you pay to feel like an unwelcomed guest? in the restaurant they didn't see the free breakfast coupons on the table and so proceeded to give us the menu and then wanted to charge us because we had ordered from the menu and that's because they didn't see the coupons on the table. This happened to another customer as well! Wow! travel lodge never again. Actually not even for free.

Before arriving from Fort McMurray on my charter flight, I confirmed with hotel front desk that they would pick me up at the North Cariboo Air terminal which is about 7 minutes from hotel. However, when I arrived, I called and spoke to clerk and then the Manager Qazi Karim, who stated that it was against their policy to pick up there. (note: I stayed at this hotel a month ago and did receive ride to same terminal). Anyway, I called Super 8, which is across street from Travelodge, and they sent their FREE shuttle within 10 minutes and matched the Travelodge rates. I will be at Super 8 with my 6 workmates every 20 days now instead of this miserable place.

Never stayed in any worst hotel like this. It is minus 30 outside and the room air condition can't be turned off. When I complained they gave me another room. There also same problem and no water supply in the bath room it was good that they came and checked whether I am doing good they found that this room is also not good and they are going to change me to other room in 6th floor. My god. Please do not stay in this Damn hotel. I am going to find out where I can file a complaint. I am Damn tired and they are still giving me other room. It is 10 pm already.

1. The front desk staff (on the whole) were usually busy with other things when we needed to talk to them. Almost everytime we went to the front desk, they were either busy in an office at the back, on the phone or talking to a colleague. We understand that they have heavy traffic but they could make an effort to be friendly and availabe to their patrons. 2. The package we booked (online) for 6 nights included the 'Bear Bites' breakfast and so, when we discovered on the first morning that our breakfasts were NOT included, we were most unhappy. We would not have booked in a hotel where breakfast was an additional cost. I took my laptop down to the desk and showed the clerk what I had booked. After a lecture on how I was supposed to check with the hotel where we'd booked about this, our breakfasts were granted 'because of the confusion' caused. So far so good. (We had to pay for the first morning's breakfasts. ) We then had to go to the desk and request our breakfast vouchers every morning. Every morning a new clerk would offer us one voucher and we would need to have a discussion about us being a couple and needing two vouchers. This was embarrassing and uncomfortable. 3. There were too few coat hangers in the room and I was made to feel uncomfortable about my request for a few more. They eventually found me two extra coat hangers. 4. We had no fridge in our room, which was odd because in the Winnipeg Travelodge we did have one.

Customer service was non existent. Asked for a room close to other members of my group. Was told we could only do this on the day of visit. 1st time that has ever happened to me in any of my hotel stays. While waiting for friends to check in, other customers were complaining of dirty showers, bedding in their rooms that they just checked into. Plumbing is questionable. The toilet flush wasn't working properly. The toilet wasn't mounted to the floor properly. It sits at an odd angle to the bathroom. I thought it was just our room; but all 3 families in our group have the same set up. Pictures on the hotel website show what the hotel may have looked like 15-20 years ago. The condition has only gone downhill. Maintenance and upkeep are sub par at best. Carpets are stained in the hallways and rooms. Paint is peeling off the walls. Hallways on the second floor (where ice and vending machine are located) smell of body odor and cigarette smoke. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to even my worst enemy. Travelodge is a large company that has been tainted by the representation of this particular establishment.

I recommend the hotel to everyone.

Worst hotel I've ever been to. Entire hotel is dirty and very out of date! Staff is arrogant and condescending. Hallways smell of urine, hair dryer was not working, curtains are ripped and paint is peeling from thr window frames. Spend the extra money and stay at a better hotel. Not worth thr $100/night rate. Pictures online are either outdated or photoshopped to make this place look even remotely respectable. We had booked for an entire week but checked out the next day and stayed at a different hotel.

I have stayed here twice and is my go to hotel to stay at when I'm in Calgary. The staff here is friendly makes every stay enjoyable and a good restaurant in the hotel with good food I would highly recommend this hotel.
