Best Location, on Copacabana beach! Worm hospitality and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is all you need and even more. Pay attention to several room types because. Value for money is excellent.

Good location, nice Hotel.
From the top floor, where the pool is located, you have a view of the whole beach and if you look back you see the Christ.
If the pool is smaller than you see in the photos published.
The staff is very friendly and attentive.
The breakfast buffet is very good and the food is very tasty with 3 types of meat and several companions.
We had rented a car and although the hotel does not have parking they offered to be able to park it elsewhere and on leaving they went for it, something that is appreciated.
The room was very spacious, the bathroom also, with the necessary amenities, but the downside is that the double bed was made up of 2 mattresses so if you get in the middle they bother the banks.
Generally recommended, but I hope you see the theme of the mattresses.

Poorly maintained rooms, I had to change the one I was assigned to, problems with the air conditioner, didn't work the safe, old furniture.
In 4 days they did not replenish toilet paper, and for two people 1 shampo.
At check in, I was not informed about the hotel or the breakfast schedules. And on the way out, they had me waiting for someone to go to the room to see that everything was correct, this is logical, the bad thing is that I had wue wait 1 hour. When von my family left nobody greeted us how amazing it was the second time it was going in 6 months and they didn't know it.
In reception atendísn preferentially to those who tipped.

A nice place despite a little past decoration. A fantastic breakfast and a first rate service. The view from the terrace is beautiful.

Beautiful Hotel. One of the best meters from the beach. They have a very good service, comfortable rooms and very clean all first level, have luggage storage, towels if you go to the beach and reporters who lend you. Rooftop pool, and services for a drink and a meal. Very good breakfast and dinner.

It is located in front of the beach, rich food, rich drinks. The atmosphere they offer is warm and the employees very friendly. Comfortable rooms, spacious for wheelchairs. It satisfied my expectations, it is the second time we stop here.

Comfortable room, very varied breakfast. Excellent location. I suggest to visit Leme Beach. The only bad thing about the couch in common spaces.

The Excelsior keeps what is expected of a hotel of this category in this place. Professional, competent, courteous, friendly. For breakfast everything there, very well eaten lunch, top caipirinha at pool deck with a view of the Corcovado, what more could you want? There are free chairs, umbrellas and towels on the beach above the road.
And if you are not just every 2 years in Rio, the room with a view of the Copacana is worth the extra cost in any case!

Front desk staff friendly and helpfull, the rest of the staff have limited english and not to friendly. Lovely pool area, rooms are clean and neat. Housekeeping are friendly and very helpfull. Would not reccommend the gym, rather go jog/walk on the promenade on Copacabana beach. Had a lovely time.

Very friendly staff. Very cozy place. A little bit small lobby but many sofas to have some rest. On the top floor, there is small bar and pool. The pool is not big and too close to sunbeds arround. It might not good to swim in but the view from the top was very amazing. The breakdast buffet was awesome. They also provide beach service which means free sunbed on the beach. It was so useful for relaxing myself on the beach.

Actually, I have no words for the wonderful thing about this hotel. We met several hotels, and comparison prices and attention is the best in Copacabana.
A breakfast 11 points, a bar with the best of meals (highly recommended the shrimp) The rooms very nice and if you choose with ocean view, you do not want to go more. It offers you a beach service to take care of your things while you go to the water, the truth really the best hotel we met in Copacabana. Highly recommended.

Good hotel right on the Copacabana.

The most: excellent location facing the sea, the attention is very helpful and cordial, the building is old but has all the comforts, pool and bar on the top floor, excellent and varied buffet for breakfast.
Least: The gym has few machines and no weights, no water or towel service to exercise. It could be improved.

Fantastic place right at Copacabana beach. Plus for great breakfast bufé and rooftop pool and bar with great view over the bay. Minus for fitness center, which could be much better equipt, and for the free Wi-Fi which in best case was moderat, if it was working. The 4 stars are because of the placement and atmosphere. We experienced new years evening on the rooftop. Will newer forget that scene.

We were ripped off by the new Year's charisma dinner and set on a place almost like a cellar without windows, and ornamented with balloons and Christmas lights! Deplorable and very bad food, desserts… Another disappointment…

The hotel is tremendouly well located, around the corner from Copacabana Palace. The service was was always extremely helpful and the free shuttle service from both Galeão and Santos Dumont airports is extremely useful. The rooftop bar and bool are extremely pleasant and have great views of Copacabana. The room (3 single beds for 3 people) was adequate, but nothing to write home about, which is why I'm whitholding a star. Breakfast was easily the best I've had in Brazil: the assortment of pastries, breads, fresh fruits, and juices, the eggs cooked in 3 different ways were all stellar. This will be my first choice within the price range when I return.

Excellent hotel very clean, beachfront, gym, sauna, terrace, pool, Mega breakfast, cordiality good attention as none, comfortable rooms and clean. I recommend for a good and comfortable stay in Rio de Janeiro.

This is an excellent Hotel. Extremely clean and the staff is supper friendly. It truly made my visit to Rio de Janeiro much more enjoyable. I loved the ambience and their food also. Spacious rooms and the the prices were supper fair. I will definitely be back. If you go to the bar on the terrace look for Robson. The drinks were amazing and he is awesome.

Very nice location. Located infront of the beach, Just cross the Ave. Atlantico. Complimentary beach chair, umbrella and towel. Rooms and service are very good. Breakfast has plenty of choices but daily variations are limited. So just a heads up if staying for a week but free is a plus, no complaint.

Great location, right on the Copacabana. Only separated by the road from the great, wide beach. Rooms are clean and okay. The TV in the room has switched on itself every 5-10 minutes… Safe in the room was free of charge. View from the 11 floor was great. On the 13 floor is the roof terrace including bar and swimming pool. Great view and pleasant to stay. Caipirinha was delicious, even at breakfast wide selection. One afternoon we stuck in the elevator, luckily in the EC. Company was called and after 30 minutes we were liberated.

The place is very beautiful… it has everything. Very safe to walk even in the evenings. The hotel is the best I've ever known! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Really thank you for all the attentions provided to my family!

I was humiliated by a interviewer during a selective process inside this hotel. She was a very priggish lady. Judging people by appearance educational diplomas. All this for a cleaner job. Ridiculous. I'll tell my rich friends to boycott Windsor hotels.

I did not stay here but was picked up here for transportation to Rio's carnival. Tbey were very nice to me and helped me figure out that I was reading my ticket incorrectly. I would stay there if I ever return. Beach is right there, just walk across the street. It is busy at the beach, lots of music,, parties during carnival. You may want to consider that during carnival time. Major hotel for tour pickups also.

I am having a great time at Excelsior. All the services you expect in a high class hotel are included, the ocean view from the room is amazing, and the hotel is really close to the beach. Totally recommend it.
