Copacabana Palace has the perfect setting. The decoration has luxury and a lot of beauty, bringing a romantic atmosphere to all who visit the hotel. I just fell in love with this amazing place. The photos from the bridal Editorial we made looked wonderful. Super recommend to spend your big day for the production of the day of the bride, see the photos as they were perfect!

We have been staying at this wonderful hotel for over a decade and it is like returning home every time we step inside. From the magnificent pool to the wonderful staff and ideal location, it is hard to fault and we cannot wait to return.

This is Rio’s most grand and stately hotel. The history here is amazing. The Hotel itself is absolutely out of this world with world class service and staff. The amenities and restaurants are amazing. By far the best hotel in Rio and right on the beach in Copacabana.

If you enjoy luxurious architecture and fancy food, you'll like this hotel. Personally something in the atmosphere made me uncomfortable, but all the staff were very kind and polite, so it had nothing to do with how I was received. It was a good experience overall.

Our stay at The Copacabana Palace was absolutely amazing. We were upgraded to one of their most wonderful suite available with beach view. The service also included a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival. The quality of the service was beyond what is expected from any 5-star hotel, we really felt special from the booking to staying here. Maicon ensured that our stay was pleasant are we were happy with everything. I will also recommend Mee, the Asian fusion restaurant, Michelin starred. (Check out my review). So, if you want an enchanted Rio de Janeiro experience, you must stop at The Copacabana Palace, it is Rio's landmark for a reason and you will not be disappointed. And frankly, not as expensive as you may think!

The most historic hotel in Rio, in a great location for tourists — especially if it's your first time to Rio. Ipamema and Leblon are also great and a bit quieter, but Copacabana is a bit more convenient and livelier in winter. The standard rooms are clean and modern, though not particularly spacious. The central pool area is the main feature of the hotel, with two high end restaurants and a cool bar/restaurant for quick snacks or evening meals. There is also a really good spa, with reasonable prices and fantastic treatments and therapists.

Absolutely perfect! I stayed several times there but had to work, so could not use the pool. This time I stayed over the weekend and had a good time near the pool. Weather was great. The room is clean and charming as the hotel building. The elevator on the building near the pool is modern but looking old. No noise. Amazing! The breakfast is great! Seating near the pool or looking at the beach inside is wonderful! Staff is very friendly! I really recommend this place!

Was very impressed with staff hospitality. Room was beautiful and had terrace overlooking the side street and the ocean. Like another reviewer mentioned, some amenities and fixtures could use maintenance. Door handle to terrace in particular had loose screws. Other then that, which wasn't a big deal to begin with, our stay was amazing. Highly recommend if your looking for somewhere nice with access to all the stores on the Copacobana stretch.

Friendly Hotel, very attentive staff, good outdoor swimming pool, also has a restaurant with exquisite food and quality care.

We dined here twice and attended a business gathering. We didn’t get to stay here… this trip, but will on our next trip to Rio! The staff service was possibly the best I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. On a stormy evening eating dinner by the pool they brought us towels to help with warmth during a surprise and insane wind and rain storm. The towels were the thickest ones I’ve ever seen. I can only imagine the rest of the property would stand up to this same level of attention to detail.

Best restaurant on Copacabana.

It's a great hotel! This is the feeling when I first stepped into this restaurant. We were taken to a hall on the second floor with two bar crews in charge of cocktail cocktails welcome us, the table also put on a good quality of nuts for us to taste ~ ~ ~ into the room feeling also very good, face sea room looking at the beach full of crowds ~ ~ The room inside the configuration and color are very textured, The water volume of the bathroom is also very large, the result in the bath tub of the feeling is strange, at first, looking back to find the water in the pool is yellow, and the hotel response has not been real-time processing, let us feel very disappointed! In addition, we are satisfied with the hotel's everything, the swimming pool is also a holiday of the Fen Wai, the surrounding green do very well, the hotel's potted plant are also decorated very elegant! The quality of the breakfast was satisfactory.

Good hotel, but the 3x more expensive taxi for exactly the same service (normal car, etc) did not seem fair to me. The hotel has to make a lot of money with accommodation and restaurant, this surprising unreasonable charge is a petty attitude for a hotel like that to have. Guys, if necessary rise the hotel fee, paying 3x for something I could get with 20 more steps is a small thing that irritates the costumer.

Weak Management. Bad policies towards employees that seems to be unmotivated. Spa and beauty sallon with a low service level. I would recommend top management to be changed.

The swimming pool at the Copacabana Palace is one of my absolute favorite places in Rio. Go get the aperitif there if you love the environments of a certain kind. Very nice and refined.

Only had lunch here. Decent food, nothing very special though and prices are generally reasonable. It's around 25usd for a main course and 10usd for dessert. However, I was annoyed by being charged 11usd for a bottle of plain water. I just asked for simple water. Nobody can tell the difference between a random bottle of water from the supermarket. This method of inflating the bill is something you'd usually only expect from a shady strip club. Annoying customers is not a good way to run a business. Also, the coffee was truly bad — like in most places in Brazil. However, it's unacceptable at these prices and pretentions. Overall: it doesn't feel high-end. It reminds one of Jersey Shore and that's not a compliment.

Glorious hotel, soon celebrating 95 years. Interiors are beautifully kept and maintained, with attentive staff. Beach upfront is quite average, and super touristy. Better stay by the pool…

Many young people inevitably leave a lot of garbage on the beach. It is ideal to come with a group of friends or couple, many activities to do, the view is beautiful, the water is ideal to get into, and if you come in Carnival season in February, the wave that feels on the streets is incredible, it's all a party. Although it is possible, in family with children would be advisable a quieter place.

Iconic hotel on the beach, Copacabana in Rio. I spent lots of time around this hotel and it’s where all the action happens… I will definitely book at the copacabana palace the next time I’m in Rio as it is on a league of its own and cannot be compared to any other hotel in the area. In the evenings, this hotel is home to incredible 3D light shows, causing crazy attention from tourists enjoying the happening night life on Copacabana beach. It truly is something incredible that has to be witnessed when in Rio and I would highly recommend checking out the Palace. Muito Linda!

5-Star Ultra-luxury Hotel, located across from Copacabana Beach. Breakfast at the hotel costs more than 100 reais, one can make a reservation and coordinate a day, super Full breakfast buffet, is more of a brunch.
On the eve of the end of the year in front of the hotel is the stage where the city offers concerts and at 12 pm you can see the traditional fireworks strip from the sea.

Having a drink at Restarant Chipriani's Bar is the most. A spectacular quiet and romantic place the best drinks made by Max the super cool bartender. Recommended 100%.

We went to dinner at one of the dining rooms next to the pool… dinner very rich the place is very nice… but it is too expensive…

Went for a meal and carioca experience to the restaurant by the pool and food was delicious! The environment is so nice and sometimes they play music with a do by the pool. A very cool place to visit in your trip to Rio! This is an iconic place and was the home for some months of Carmen Miranda.

In Copa, Copacabana Palace's lush building will always remain as the central point of the beach. Its good services (but never cheap) represent the best of the region.

A tradicional hotel. A landmark. A building that holds a lot of history. Its pool is surely a must see for those who can afford to have a few drink at the Pergola restaurant, right by the pool, or have the dining experience either at the Cipriani or the asian food Michelin star Mee. The bedrooms are a bit of a problem for me. If you pay for the most expensive one you'll get a great room with a great view that is widely advertised. But all the other rooms offered will not have that view, worse than that, they will face the busy main street in Copacabana where guests can see dirty streets and a lot of noise. Not a 5 stars experience at all! And the rates start at 800 USD.

Next year I go with the woman I love ️ ️…

A palacios hotel with huge accommodation and all luxurious rooms well furnished… bed linen is awesome… good food with different cuisines… courteous service all along… a memorable stay just on the Copacabana beach the biggest and crowded beaches in Rio de janeiro city, a most opted destination for tourists in Brazil…

Beautiful the structure seen from outside, and certainly the beautiful the panoramic view that offer its terraces. Unfortunately on New Year 9th I found place to stay.

Well, I wasn't lucky enough to afford this establishment. But then it can be seen when you walk along Copocabana Beach. It has sea view balconies, rooftop pool and rooftop bar. Decent and clean from the outside. Worth the money of you can afford it. Me, No. I cant.

Excellent hotel and one of Rio's classics. Concierge, room services, spa facilities and room amenties are excellent. Hotel restuarants are amazing. Very expensive hotel, however.

I´ve been there to visit a friend, spend the night with him at the club. The best caipivodka of Rio! The restaurant is good, few variety but tasty. The night club wasn´t so good, full of teens. We had to rent another room because they don´t allow visitors. The room, like the rest of the hotel, is very traditional, confortable, quiet and clean.

Summary: a 5 star facility trying to keep up, but perhaps not worth the high rates given the other options. Pros: prime location in heart of Copacabana, beautiful pool, no cover at Bar do Copa, excellent service by bellhops and concierge, quickly moved us to higher floor upon request, large and well appointed bathrooms. Cons: no early check-in (even with 3 days advanced notice), "king" bed was really 2 twin beds pushed together (despite reservation for a king), disorganized check-in, rooms are outdated, major (noisy and dusty) remodel in main wing. Nits: shower head partially clogged, stains on carpet, hotel's hair dryer plug didn't fit any outlet.
