This is NOT a hotel but a cheap apartment above a very busy loud hippy bar. Took an hour to find this place only to realize that you have to go somewhere else to check in and get the keys. Unless you plan on staying up all night long, do not stay at this place because NO WAY you will be able to fall asleep till 4-5 am because of all the noise and parties going on under you windows. And in addition, check your card as we got overcharged. Absolutely the worst experience we had in Belgium!

Avoid this hotel like a plague. One can not sleep at all due to the fact it is directly above a night club called Kid’s Rhythm and Blues Kaffee. The night club opens from noon till 8am 6 days a week (you can verify it by googling it) and hosts live rock performances. When it happens the whole building is shaken by the noise from the electrical guitars and screams from the microphone. Patrons will drink and smoke all night long at the outdoor seating right below the windows and chat and laugh the night away. Do not thrust any rating by the “local guides”. As it turns out that Anyone can be a local guide and there are some economic benefits to give online reviews as local guides. If you click on their profiles you notice they give high ratings to anything they review, presumably trying to please the local businesses. It is a shame the hotel is listed by several very popular web booking sites: it is unfit to be used as a guest room and likely breaks many health and safety regulations: the noise level is hazardous, the staircase narrow and steep and unstable. It is not a hotel in the sense that it is more like an Airbnb Flat, without any hotel reception and security service. You will be guaranteed a sleepless night and fuming at the stupid decision and the sense of being deceived — — not only wasted a lot of money but also utterly ruined a holiday. Do not be tempted by the “good” reviews and seemly central location.
