No batteries in foxtel, and ac remotes. Once we got the ac going in the TV room, it brought out a sick smell out of the 2 seater couch. We had to wait the next morning to get the couch steamed cleaned. Not happy.

Quality accommodation with very secure electronic access but expensive for what it is. There is a large basement carpark but the lack of a bar was a surprise for a multi-storey downtown hotel. Walking distance to some of Townsville's attractions like the aquarium and maritime museum.

The event was last Friday the food was good the room was too small for our group and the air conditioning was difficult to control.

Great apartments, spotlessly clean, spacious and with a good view. Close to lots of restaurants and bars.

I would not give this hotel a single star. There was an awful smell on 5th floor, I was in room 505A. The strong stench hits you as soon as you get out of the lift. I was booked for 6 nights, cancelled the rest and was of course charged a second night when I said I was checking out due to the smell. The receptionist apologised and said "they have a problem with the waste disposal and it is getting fixed". Why then are they booking people into those rooms, and why should I pay for another night when it is the hotel's fault I had to leave?

Comfortable for a short stay but I disliked the way our bedrooms were designed. The smallest room only has a window at the top of the wall facing the living room. This means that occupant has to hope that no one stays up late at night as there is no way to stop outside light entering the room. It's close to the CBD if that's important otherwise check the layout of other rooms.

Receptionist was extremely helpful & polite. I asked if I could possibly view the appartment & she was quite happy to show me. Happy to book.

Reasonable residence. Furniture stained but clean. Poor servicing.

Big bed, hot shower. Beautiful smelling soaps and creams.

Kept finding random long hairs in the room. Air conditioner was asthmatic even on its lowest temp setting and highest fan setting, still didn’t cool enough. Rooms are mostly clean but need a little bit of attention. Staff friendly and professional.

Not clean, beds are soo hard can feel the springs thru, sheets were stained, no clean blankets. Staff are very friendly, helpful and professional.

Great place friendly staff no complaints I had a wonderful stay and would come back anytime.

Lovely room, no complaints except we had only one fork. Almost absurdly secure building — tap keycard to operate the elevator, again to get into your wing of the level you're on, and *again* for the actual door to your room. Might have just been awful timing, but we had two nights including a Monday, and the guest Wi-Fi network was completely nonexistent. Dylan told us everything was being routed through the front desk computer, but not to expect much if anything — well that was accurate, never managed to connect reliably, could barely even get roaming reception in 405A. He also said "there's nothing we can do about it" and I didn't press him on this, but did wonder whether there was no local service for fixing such things (seems unlikely) or whether they just didn't want to pay for it at this time?

If it's a convenient location you are seeking for a short stop over in Townsville it would be hard to look any further than Allure. A leisurely 10 minute stroll and you are in the heart of Cowboy's territory enjoying a great feed or a cold beer at the Cowboys Leagues Club. If restaurant dining is your preferred option. Palmer Street is adjacent to Allure and is home to many fine eateries … the choices really are never ending. Allure is a clean, well run establishment in a fantastic position. My single room for an overnight stay on the 8th floor has been competitively priced. Quiet, comfortable and well equipped. A magic view of the mountains to the ocean is an absolute bonus. I would most definately recommend Allure to anyone contemplating a stay in Townsville.

Lovely, modern high units, however group of ten of us were prebooked for 2 nights stay, upon commencing our first days excursion, were requested to return to pack as they had 'doublebooked' apparently is normal for them and others up here in the accomodation wars not impressive at all.

We stayed for 2 nights around Christmas, originally had booked a standard room. But needed a dryer, so the young gentleman kindly offered the dryer in the bigger vacant room across from us. After seeing the 2 bedroom apartment that had a balcony (the other room did not). It was worth every cent of the $50 extra a night. The rooms were clean, with a lovely view. The apartments was big with everything we needed, and staff were more than helpful. Just a shame the original room was a tiny box, glad we upgraded, could not believe the difference.

This is the best hotel, clean, friendly and accommodating staff a few minutes walk from town no car rental required how good is that! Would recommend any time. Thank you to Valarie the manager for the excellent customer service.

Great room and views. Only bad thing was the TV stopped working.
