Booked a room after hearing their ad on the local radio station, couldn’t have been happier with our upgrade and paper pack. Was a real wow, thanks again Mackay Ibis for a great night of friendly service, great comfy bed and awesome meals.

Just had our Valentines Dinner at the Ibis Mackay. Lovely set menu for this special night, very attentive staff and food was perfect. We are looking at making this our go to place. Free parking, great relaxed atmosphere and just lovely staff.

Dinning / bar area was too cold. Ourselves and other guests were very uncomfortable, we were informed there was nothing that could be done about the temperature. Staff were lovely.

Good food at the restaurant. Had a great breakfast prior to flying to Brisbane and then on to Sydney. Helpful staff and quality friendly service.

Friendly staff and chef's willingness to accommodate a none menu order was awsome.

Staff here are great! Can’t recommend them enough, nothing was too difficult for them, awesome atmosphere down stairs in the turbulence bar aswell. Thanks for making our stay as comfortable as possible guys! 5 stars!

The only hotel at mackay airport I walked in and it cost $149 and was happy with it having driven 5 hours to get here. Standards are good in comparison to hotels and motels in the area.

Your bar staff can't count. If a coffee costs $5.50, and I give you $7.00, I should get $1.50 change, not $0.50 and a passive aggressive accusation of being a liar. Terrible service and a burnt coffee.

Convenient for the purpose of my travel. Clean. Quiet. Nice views. Comfortable bed.

Children running the halls yelling and playing all night! No room service. Overpriced average food with average service. Clean rooms with friendly and helpful hotel reception.

Great place to duck in for a drink or some food while you wait for your flight. Especially good for your friends who drop you off, they will get free parking in the hotel lot if they spend $25

Room was a little on the small side but definitely well presented, clean and comfortable. As with the Accor group of hotels, it was up there for great staff and service. This particular hotel is walking distance to the airport so very convenient.

Bar fridge was noisy. AC was awesome. Couldn't hear one plane. Shower was on the small side, I barely fit. Black out blinds worked perfect.

Fantastic for me as. I was hours early and really sick so I paid sixty dollars for 3 hours and had a terrific sleep and shower then off to the airport Very friendly staff who was only too happy to help me last Monday morning very pleasant and accommodating The room while not huge was very clean and the bed was very nice and comfortable This is the best ibis I’ve been to most others do not compare in all areas.

Great place to stay, rooms are quiet, dark and beds are up with some of the most comfortable hotel beds.
The room was also really well cleaned and is a credit to the housekeeping staff.
The restaurant downstairs is also good for a drink and dinner and has a warm inviting atmosphere. The TV system leaves a lot to be desired however, Accor needs to leave pay to watch movies in the 90’s where they belong. Forget about trying to grab a few extra $$$$ from your guests and give the…m a decent TV that works, my TV kept freezing and glitching and took about 10min before I gave up, just watching the channel it finally selected on its own. If you want Foxtel or Netflix or even to be able to choose a free to air channel then Accor hotels are not for you.

Convenient location when waiting for boarding flights. The rooms are small but the beds are so soft and well worth the price. Amenities are always well stocked and well presented. I've visited on several occasions and have been satisfied with the service. Meals are expensive but delicious. Gym is on site as well as parking. Staff are very polite and accommodating. Booking times can be altered on request.

Spectacular Ibis hotel and my second stay here. The reception staff bend over backwards to look after me. The bar staff are great. The chef is superb and produces beautiful Vegan Fare for me. The best Ibis I have stayed in. They really look after me with my Platinum ACCOR Plus Membership. There is nothing they could do better and I will be back again next month. Unbelievably Good.

The rooms are comfortable and staff are friendly, the meals downstairs are great, the only annoying thing is the "free Wi-Fi", we had an over night stay where we wanted to vege out and watch some Netflix on a laptop in our room, we where able to watch for about 1 and a half hours in HD before being disconnected from the Wi-Fi because of some kind of fair play policy 5gb limit,

Short stay not impressed room good would not suggest having a pizza for any meal what so ever.

We calculated that the airport Ibis would be a great choice for the Elton concert. Sadly it didn't really live up to our high expectations of a great hotel group.

"Fish cakes" were were more like curry puff balls, dry and tasteless
The spring rolls were a cheap nasty concoction, calamari mostly tuff, chicken pieces very overdone. More discerning was later in the night after the concert, watching the cook continually rub his hands on his nose and pants then handle all the food on 8 plates with no gloves or tongs
I bought this practice to the attention of a staff member, she decided to say nothing of the gross actions except to say "his hands are clean " We got to watch this spectacle while waiting in line at the bar for 15 minutes for service in a grossly understaffed arena
Bar staff worked incredibly hard under pressure from the returning concert patrons.
We were then given 2drink vouchers for compensation of the noisy room and an option to move to another room that was officially "out of service" because … the aircon was noisy

Only to wake this morning to leave and see how the housekeeping had left large areas of the hallway not vacuumed.

Nice bar and dining. Beds are super comfortable. Conveniently close to the airport.

The beds are brilliant and the food is top, quality. This is a great value place with wonderful friendly staff who are the to help. A must stay place.

Great new hotel. Soundproofing is so good I forgot I was next to the airport. Quality food at the restaurant and lovely staff.

Location location location… great staff with warm and caring personalities to help you in all respects. Restaurant good is amazing with local produce being used.

Close to Airport, away from City but so quiet with great staff and facilities. Room compact but spotlessly clean.

While I loved the choice of five pillows provided, the bed was too soft for my liking. Staff was friendly and professional. Room was clean and relatively quiet (the air conditioning unit was loud, but I couldn't hear the airport traffic).

Highly recommend! Rooms are a good size and have a desk which was great as a student. The showers are very small which was a let down, but still had excellent pressure and hot water. All the staff were fantastic especially Natalie (I think that was her name). Unfortunately the meals were overpriced, and not worth the money. Overall a great place to stay.

Wow, what an amazing place. So professional, friendly and efficient. Service amazing all round from cleaning, catering, reception… and all those employed. While you are all experiencing your own " tought times" post cyclone Debbie, we would never have know as you ALL were concerned for making our stay comfortable. I have been fortunate enough to travel the world and I say witnout a doubt you are up there with the best, if not best of all service I have reveived. Remain proud of your workplace and work ethic, I feel privileged to have stayed at Ibis Mackay and will recommend your service to all my friends and work colleagues as " the best place" I have ever stayed… thankyou for the memories, you are all a credit to your industry… stay Proud… you all deserve the best life has to offer, you made my stay beyond enjoyable.

Extemely comfortable rooms. The food was fantastic and the customer service was over and beyond expectations. Friendly helpful staff makes it the best place to stay.

We went to the Hotel Ibis Mackay on new years eve 2016 to the Turbulence Restaurant for dinner. Our booking was for 4 adults and 3 children. We had previously rung and asked if we could use our AccorHotel gift card, that was due to expire that night, and were told yes. After ordering our meals and receiving our drinks to our horror the gift card which had been purchased through Chrisco didn't work. We were having a stressful night already as our daughter was having emergency surgery and we were looking after the children. The two young women, Brittany and Jane, working that night (reception and food service) were fantastic! They did everything they could to help. Then when they managed to get it sorted for us they continued to make our night enjoyable by helping keep the kids entertained with balsa wood planes, all while attending to the other patrons as well. The chef on duty was great as well. His smile and friendliness were infectious and his cooking was amazing. We were so impressed with the price and quality of the food and the standard of service that we can't wait for our daughter to recover so that we can take her and her husband there! We are happy to tell everyone of our experience and can"t thank all three of your staff enough.

Great staff! Rooms on the small side. Beds too soft I found. B/fast buf could be a bigger range of food. Otherwise all good and well priced.

Turbarlence at the Ibis is fantastic! They have a great range of drinks, from cocktails to milk shakes and local rum. They menu selections is great, with something for everyone and specials throughout the week.

Very good room for a short stay — all the necessities in one small room. Food is offered downstairs for a pretty fair price, and flight information is shown in the lobby. Staff are friendly and happy to help with any concerns.
