Such a good place to stay clean and friendly.

Filthy and stained carpets. Filthy curtains. Holes in walls filled with white putty but left unpainted. Moldy grout and taps and spout move whenever you turn on the taps. Sad, tired and dirty hotel room. But nice clean comfy bed and helpful staff. However my advice is AVOID!

Buffet breakfast, car parking, quiet location, friendly helpful staff, clean facilities and a big comfy bed. Would go again.

The fact you have not updated your page since Feb 18 is a reflection of your service also. We went down to have breakfast and there were no clean tables, only 1 staff member there, there was no food at the hot buffet, no coffee or milk in the pots. When we spoke to the lady at reception she could not care less. She didnt even apologise, offered nothing if the inconvience she looked at us plain faced. Disgraceful. For the money you pay it is not worth it given the outdated decor from the rooms to the restaurant which is embarrassing.

We went for an education seminar at one of the conference rooms. Big room, good display of slides, dinner was delicious, staff were polite and accommodating. Very close to Chatswood station and shops.

Great location in the heart of Sydney with plenty of things around. Room was nice and shower pressure was top notch which is an extra for me.

Not a great experience. Waited in reception for over 30 mins past 2pm check in time. Booked for 3 people, room came with queen bed and broken sofa, had to request a roll away bed. Electrical socket in kitchen that kettle and toaster plugged into was loose & hazardous. Dishwasher still half full of last occupants dishes. Mum nearly slipped in huge oil spill in disability carpark. Pipes in shower squealed horrendously. No pricelist in mini bar. Daniel rectified the problem by moving us to a better room but pipes still squealed. Overall much better but still not be staying here again as I've stayed in better cheaper motel rooms than this one.

Great location, 100m from trains and short walk to local shopping and dining. 20 minutes from the CBD. The room itself is good, clean, tidy, modern and spacious. Hotel staff were very helpful.

I was disappointed with the state of my room especially since the day before I spent a night in a less expensive hotel with a far better quality room. The staff where amazing, however. Friendly and helpful, there were ripped curtains and the fittings in bathroom all but falling off the wall. The curtains where so hard to move hence why I think they are ripped and the taps in the bathroom whistle when you turn them on. A tiny tiny TV which was just blurry and pixelated. I didn't have a desk lamp to work. Gym and Pool where Pristine so that's a plus. I think it may just need some TLC.

I loved it! I didn't know much about this one as I always have stayed in meriton hotels whenever I come to Australia. Mantra's rooms are more cozier and spacious. The space is enough for 2 people in their 1 bedroom apartment. The necessary amenities are there so no worries. The maintenance of the equipments is something I would say to improve them. But all in all its lovely. The train noise doesn't bother me much as I don't open the windows much. So for me personally it was a comfortable stay.

Lovely well presented hotel in the middle of a wonderful area. Will stay here every time I come to Sydney now.

Nicole on reception was extremely helpful. There had been 2 errors on the booking but she was able to resolve 1and differ the other till the morning. The rooms were immaculate, the bed was very comfortable. The checkout was very quick and easy.

3 minutes to chatswood station, easy to go anywhere, sovle problems very efficiently and consideration, thanks to all staff!

Great location but room was tired, pillows are a disgrace, try taking the covers off and see what you are sleeping on. Scuff marks on walls and grouting dirty. Noisy air con, could hear the trains. My biggest bug was Paying for Wi-Fi. This is unacceptable in 2018 and the price per day is ludicrous. TV unable to view any channel 7 programs (I am a MKR fan) Staff were indifferent, I did not complain and test the reaction but I saw nothing demonstrating they were happy or proud of their workplace. Food was typical pub grub. I actually had an expired Chocolate bar in my fridge, really? Do they check their mini bar items and replenish? I had great things to say 3 years ago when I stayed but overall a sad experience this time and I will avoid going back.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days in February, we are Mantra plus member as we have stayed in many Mantra hotels and I can honestly say this is the worst Mantra’s we have ever stayed in. When selecting the hotel we were informed it was 4kms from Sydney it was in fact 10kms!. We had to ask 3 times about a key for the safe, there was supposed to be laundry facilities in our apartment, there was a tumble dryer with no washing machine … the explanation was washing machines when available! As Mantra plus members we get free parking, we were asked 3 times to pay for our parking. On our day of departure the cleaner started asking us at 8:30 if she could be in the room to clean it. Overall a need for staff training in this hotel and for us overall a very poor experience.

The staff at reception are great. Housekeeping service can be a bit sporadic — on 2 occasions we had to ask for it. Rooms are a good size with laundry in one bedroom and up suites. Really convenient position and on-site parking available. They really need to fix the button issues with the lifts — this can't be hard, surely.

Pleasant enough. Lovely staff on check-in and checkout. Breakfast was included and good. I always think the pastries are a good indication of the quality of a hotel breakfast and the pastries were very good. The room was clean if a little dull. Bought a movie with no issues. Only complaint, not mentioned to the hotel staff was the curtains in the room did not close properly in the middle and were hanging off the end at one end so light came in earlier than perhaps desired. Pretty minor complaint really.

I love staying at mantra hotels, chatswood was no different. Ideally located, friendly staff and well appointed rooms, I'll be back.

We checked out yesterday just before 9:30am and when we got home I realised I had left my new bra and underwear (unworn) in one of the bedside tables. I called at 2:16pm and was told reception would contact housekeeping and get back to me. Midnight, still no answer. I rang again at 9:41am and get told (eventually) that I put them in the bin so housekeeping threw them out. I know we didn't. We tied our rubbish up and there was nothing else in the bins. I hope I'll be getting a reimbursement as these were new and they were thrown out by housekeeping. Not going to stay there again. I am hoping nobody else has to go through this experience. I loved that matching bra and panties, it's a shame that they found items and 'threw it out' … maybe they kept it. Gross!

Great location and room was well furnished. Lack of free Wi-Fi was disappointing.

Awesome place to stay. Decent food. Superb location, Train Bus Taxi are on walking distance.

Good-sized suites with separate kitchen and living room. Within walking distance to the train station and lots of shops and restaurants. Furniture and fixtures are old but overall it's a comfortable hotel.

Located right next to railway station n bus stop. Comfortable apartment accommodation with prompt services. All kind of stores r available at walking distance.

The hotel services are at par with the best in business. I took a service apartment here in July 2017. Was greeted with one of the most courteous staff. Room was spacious and was provided with welcome grocery. The only thing lacking is the internet. They charge you a lot but then it is shared with all the guests in the hotel and the speed is worse than a dialup connection.

Loved it and had full buffet breakfast every day as they also cater for gluten intolerant will be back.

Friendly and accomodating service from all staff. Clean, tidy, well appointed rooms. Very handy having a washing machine & dryer in my room. Only complaint was being neighbours in rooms adjacent where extremely loud and sound proofing wasn't the best.

Good rooms very clean but the pool and spa both smelled like poo and could see poop in the pool and spa.

The hotel is quite good and in the heart of chatswood. Most of the offices and shopping malls are within walking distance.

Had stayed here in a couple of occasions for a business trip. On both occasions, I had the one-bedroom apartment, though on one occasion I was given an apartment that was meant for handicapped people. This is good to know that this hotel had rooms that cater for that segment. In both cases, the rooms were neat, clean and tidy. And smelled neutral (good). By the furnishings and general layout, I'd say that this hotel had a major facelift/update around mid to late 2000's. It's definitely been around for longer. The room has everything I needed: small kitchen and own laundry. Wifi and parking are extra. Didn't need both as I had my own 4G and I traveled by train. The Chatswood train station is very close which is big plus for this hotel. Breakfast options are good too: buffet or continental offered at their own restaurant. This being in Chatswood means you'll have endless food options. So at the end of the day, still a good place to stay.

Perfect location room was of satisfactory and clean, but you can hear the people in the next room. Only disappointment was having to also pay for daily parking. But would definitely stay again.

Great location right near the train station and bus stop. Clean and comfortable rooms. Pillows were a bit flat and walls a bit thin and rooms close together. Buffet breakfast was really tasty as it included sausages, hash browns, bacon, mushroom and scrambled eggs as well as a selection of cereal, toast, spreads and pastries. Staff are efficient. Very close to a wide range of shops and restaurants. Only 20 mins on the train to the city with lots of trains as it is a big station. Rooms had hair dryer, safe, washing machine and dryer.

Great location. You are just a couple of mins away from train station and bus stop. There are lot of good restaurants around, you have a mall and Woolworths at walking distance. However this hotel can be much with some renovations. It looks a bit dated. Temperature control in some rooms are not effective, we had to change our room once. Staff is courteous and helpful.

The location is great, as it's very close to the train and taxi rank. The rooms are clean, will appointed, and very comfortable. They are becoming a little old and worn in areas, and to me they're lacking additional power points next to the bed for those that like to have a phone or laptop there. I do routinely stay here, and because of the location and more than satisfactory quality often choose it over other newer places in the area.

Would not let my dog stay here kitchen floor so sticky my shoes stuck to it absolutely filthy pancake pillows TV does not work either $255 a night includes nothing no Wi-Fi no breakfast can't wait to go home here on business will be telling my company to never put staff here disgusting. Oh and I wish I could add a photo of the wardrobe floor carpets been removed and it motley.

Nice apartment with comfy bed and good kitchen & bathroom. However the reason I give 2 stars and will not come back is because of the service. Everyone I seen who works in hotel does not even say good morning or hello… if you ask question you get a blunt answer and that's all. They are very impolite except for one woman which I assume is the manager, she even smiled (nobody else did)!
The cleaning staff have an easy job… mainly because it seems they are lazy and do not even throw trash in the bin or clean properly, it feels like they try to be as fast as possible and do a half ass job. For the amount of money it costs to stay here, you would expect the staff to smile and speak with you asking if you need anything etc. Then there's the Wi-Fi… or the lack of free Wi-Fi? Such an expensive room and you are expected to pay extra for the Wi-Fi, even cheap hostels have free Wi-Fi. Get better service!

My friends and I have used Mantra hotel in Chatswood on numerous occasions and have had fantastic service. It is sad when one or two rude and abrupt receptionists can ruin your experience and treat you like dirt. On Saturday 5th February 2016 around 8pm I went to check into the hotel and realised I had misplaced my handbag. I had two issues this night as follows: 1. I went to park in the Mantra loading zone (quick park so you can check in) and this Indian gentleman shooed me away from the spot. I found this odd as I had previously been instructed to use this spot when checking in. 2. Once I had parked I went in and this same gentleman was behind the reception desk. I explained the situation with my handbag to him. I asked him if I could show him alternative ID (i. E log into my bank account and show him etc. ). Now, I understand there are strict policies and procedures but no need to look me up and down and be rude and say "No! " so abruptly. I was upset by the way he spoke to me but wanted to figure out an alternative so asked "well what else can I do". He rudely again replied "I told you we have strict policies and procedures! " and went on lecturing me. I told him to calm down and said "well isn't an alternative to book another room? " and he was like "yes, you can do that". However, at that point he had been SOO rude to me I had enough, swore and walked out.

Good room. Great location. Everything right at your doorstep.

Nice place for a medium-long stay. All appliances available, including a washing machine. Nice swimming pool and spa.

Great prices and great location, 20 minutes commute from Sydney CBD and service is delightful.

Great location. Just 2 mins walk from train station. Plenty of restaurants, cafe and stores are at walking. Distance. Decent size apartments, Wi-Fi works fine.
