Family run with pride. Some of the nicest people in Cuenca. On thr north end of el centro, which is perfect for some quiet, great food too.

Perfect because it has parking for the car, not all the places in Cuenca have this.
The breakfast was delicious, especially the "humita" ❤️

A wonderfully luxurious hotel (especially if you stay in the Presidential Suite, as we did) that’s right in the middle of everything and has gorgeous views!

The attendant showed us to our room. Great size. Had a balcony, little table and chairs also. Highly recommend. Close to Calderon Park.

We stayed here while we were on a vision mission; performing eye exams and giving glasses away. The hotel is newly remodeled with a pleasant breakfast area on the 6th floor.

I hate to give it a four star but I guarantee you it is a four star. The servant is excellence. All of the young students at the universities are very accommodating. Gabriela is excellent.

We stayed at La Casa Cuencana for two weeks over Christmas & New Year's 2023. It was in a great location in Centro Histórico, close to a wide variety of restaurants including typical Ecuadorian foods.

Excellent service and rooms were good, always warm water. I highly recommend to other gringos.

Our first 3 nights in Ecuador was spent at The Yanuncay Hotel in Cuenca. The hotel is a very short taxi ride to Parque de La Madre and all the wonders of the historic district.

Absolutely loved my stay at Casa Montalvo. It is in a great location in the historic center and we walked everywhere except for going up to the Turi viewpoint (which was a cheap uber ride).

We spent a week at Casa Montalvo and could not have been happier with everything! The room was spacious, beautiful and comfortable!

I loved this place! If you're only staying a few days or planning to spend time away from an apartment, this place is ideal. It's beautiful, cozy, super clean, and most importantly, centrally located.

Everything was superlative, especially the person service of the hotel owner and his staff.

Super nice front desk staff. Great TV channels. Awesome breakfast included tigrillo! Great location, right near the bus station and easy walk into town. Near great Chinese food!

Affordable single room. Very clean and organized. Good bathroom with hot water and toiletries. Working table and chair. Tv. Closet for clothes. Table for luggage.

Very unique, beautifully decorated, spectacular view of the cathedral, the rooms are huge. Great location.

It is a bit noisy, and without an elevator but the location is worth it. Good breakfast and great atmosphere.

Furnishings are dated and the bathtub is too high and slippery. Other than that, it is a good place. Don't pay the rate listed on-line.

This Hotel is centrally located in a charming area,
I arrived there at 01:2o AM, did check in with no issue. The area was so peaceful.

This was our first time in Ecuador, so I'm critiquing on my personal preferences. Our room was beautiful and the solarium was a nice place to relax in the mornings and evenings.

Last month I've spent there 3 nights.
Overall the comfort of this "hostel" is outstanding, marvellous. It's actually a house with a garden in a rich, posh district of Cuenca.

I loved staying at this hostel — very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, safe and quiet neighborhood, comfy big beds in dorms, amazing green backyard!

I like the décor, the atmosphere, facilities, attention. It's fabulous…

Excellent location. Easy walk to anywhere in the colonial district. Great service. Especially Ismenia, she was awesome. Big rooms, very clean. Mine had a jacuzzi! Views to the city.
