Lusaka Backpackers Hostel

Traveled with friends but could not stay because your lodge was filthy. The bathrooms look very dirty. Floors dirty, hair in floor, shower curtains looked very filthy and walls. Need to wear shoes to keep your feet clean. Light fixtures were dusty and dirty. Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the rooms. The bar looked fine. For those prices, improve.

Security at the premise is very poor. Patrons are made to park their cars along the road and the only security guard never goes round to safe guard the vehicles. Imy friend and l had our cars proven into and car batteries and other assorted items were stolen (less than 50 meters from where the main gate to backpackers which was being manned by a security guard).

Lusaka backpackers is the place to be, their customer service is really amazing. Mr Raphael made our night is more exciting, the customer service he offered to us cannot go unappreciated, he was very helpful and good. Will definitely visit the place again.

I love this place, please come relax and enjoy quality quiet time.

Wonderful place. Great stuff. Catering. This was my first time in Lusaka and I enjoyed staying in a safe and secure place. Keep up the standard.

Service, was Abit slow. No bartender was available upon arrival, showed up after about 10 mins. However, the Lingala music (Congolese) was quite entertaining.

Fantastic stay and great staff. Very relaxed and the food was great. Contacted us with a fantastic bus driving service lead by the driver Matthias who made our two week stay so enjoyable and easy. All round great.

I have been to this place several times almost everytime am in Zambia and I have always loved my experience there. I always travel with either my boyfriend or friends from different other countries and we always enjoy ourselves. I have never had anything wrong there and we have recommended it to many people. However I just lost ALL respect and admiration I had for this place as of this morning. I first went there in 2013 and it was a wonderful experience so that we decided it would be our go to place when in Zambia. I was recently there end January this year, as always I loved it. So I thought it would be nice to have an acoustic performance there during my next visits (am a singer where am from) just to have good times with other guests so I wrote them a msg on 4th February and got an instant automated reply which said "will get back to me soon". So I waited but nothing. This morning they shared a post and so I remembered my unanswered msg and commented on their post: "Soooo basically you guys don't reply to messages? It's been atleast two months now, I think since y'all said you would 'get back to me' in your automated msg. Just checking. " And the reply I got from them like a minute later to my inbox after two months of no reply? Lol so unprofessional. I don't see what was wrong with my comment.

Its a great place for your Lodging. It is reasonable and has a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and has Great food. The friendly staff can even make you Zambian dishes.

It was nice. Nice bed with clean linen. Clean toilet and big showers. They have a kitchen well equipped and if not there is a nice restaurant. Wi-Fi works good.

Lusaka back packers is a nice place to stay when you are in Lusaka, it's nice, cool, the staff are friendly, there's a nice bar, you meet people from all over the world, it's convenient in the center of malls, bus station, town business places. So come one come all and let's explore Zambia. Zambia beautiful place to visit.

Nice spot for a quick stay, especially if traveling by bus. The bar and pool area is usually pretty lively at night and overall the place definitely has that 'well-established hostel' vibe. Friendly staff. If you prefer a quieter place for a longer stay, I'd recommend Natwange instead.

This is the go to travel hostel in Lusaka. The grounds are well kept and decorated, they employ a full time cook who can make a quick meal, the place is a hub for fun people you can meet, the rooms are cheap and it is within walking distance from many great spots like kamwala market, levy junction, and intercity. Just don't walk alone OK? Among the few cons, it can be a little noisy, staff sometimes vanishes from the front desk for a long time, the pool is very tiny and akwardly central, and the dorm beds are a bit uncomfortable. But hey — it's a hostel. If those things bother you go to the Marriot or something…

Not much to do besides drink beer and chill, really slow town with little to offer for sightseeing or adventure.

Wanderers Backpackers and Campsite is best place to stay in Lusaka city, Zambia. Very big Garden. Excellent place. Value for money. Very good kitchen for self cooking and making Tea. Clean and nice. Big gate so very safe place. From city bus terminal to Wanderers Backpackers and Campsite hostel just few kilometers only but TAKE taxi is good fare is maximum zamKw. 40. (4$). Staff is good.
