Okavango Lodge

Accommodation that is only worthy of the garden. Also, the staff's efforts to keep it at a functional level are commendable. Small rooms, even smaller bathroom, old wooden furniture with holes that cockroaches came out of, open wardrobe and bathroom window that did not close. Fortunately, I tied a plastic bag to it so that no bugs could get inside. The power was constantly out and many times I was in the dark but fortunately there was a solar light that you could see happily. The room was dark and you had to have the lights on constantly. Fortunately, the bed had a mosquito net because it was useful not only for mosquitoes but also for other bugs. Although it was a cheap room, I wouldn't stay there again, nor would I recommend it.

This lodge is excellent value for money being in central Livingston. The staff put a lot of work into keeping the grounds looking tidy and we enjoyed our stay here.
The breakfast is included, although simple, we enjoyed it.

A nice clean, but crammed and tiny room, the staff are very helpful and friendly. This could also be a reasonable budget place in the town, except that is is overpriced at 36 usd to foreigners, 25 usd to locals. The location is quite good. Major problems: during "load-shedding" (blackout), which is most time day and night, water (not only hot water) is gone and you cannot charge the phone at all.

Really cozy place. Very friendly staff and we got help for all we wanted. An amazing nice and silent garden. One day we had to leave early and then we got a breakfast-box to bring.
The room was a bit crowded, and the first day we had some problems with the hot water.

We arrived in Livingstone in the evening and went to Okavango Lodge to ask them for a place to find some rest. The first receptionist was very cute but in the end she was told she made a huge mistake telling us the normal price for a twin room (700 Kwacha) as the management is asking a high fee for white people (USD 36). We decided to leave and try the next nearby lodge, fearing that this non-local fee is normal in this touristic city. Ravine Lodges staff told us not to believe these touristic traps. No other place will charge you just because you have a different color. If there would be stars for inhuman and money grieving behaviour we would give the Okavango Lodge 11 out of 10 stars.

On 17th march 2024 visited this lodge along with my colleagues from kitwe to attend workshop. The price was initially told as K700. Within 5 minutes they told me that the process is K1500 and that too pay in USD. It is very unfortunate that the management is greedy about the money. I don't recommend to my friends not to visit this lodge.

What a lovely place nested clise to city center of Livingstone.
For 40 Usd you have a clean room, a super comfy bed with a fridge TV and aircon AND a delicious breakfast in their lushious garden.

We stayed at Okavango Lodge, which was conveniently located within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The room was a wee bit small but the aircon was super. Staff service was absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was awesome 👌 thank you ladies.

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip, the rooms aren’t anything special but have everything you need (water at night is cold so make sure to shower while there’s sun) ; their staff though was incredible. They weren’t only super attentive and helpful, but also extremely considerate, friendly and flexible. Thank you for an incredible stay. :)

A lovely place with it's own charm. I really enjoyed my stay although the communication with the staff was sometimes a bit ambiguous and the fact that MasterCard wasn't accepted was a bit surprising. The staff however was very nice and friendly. All in all a good experience 4/5. Recommended (especially due to the price)!
