We had a great 3-night stay with our very well-trained friends at the Protea in early March, during the rainy season.

We stayed with our family for five days / four nights at Protea Livingstone (February 2026).
We had a fantastic time.
The hotel is a fairly modern building, tastefully decorated throughout.

A faded colonial style hotel with fragrant mango trees around the swimming pool. The rooms are large and the interlocking room that we stayed in felt like an added bonus.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! As a woman traveling alone, I felt completely safe, welcomed, and cared for by the entire team. Everyone was so warm and attentive.

Although Karien does not cater for campers, she kindheartedly welcomed 2 exhausted campers and accommodated us for 2 nights to enjoy the serene tranquility on the banks of the Zambezi.

Tabonina is a quiet, pleasant and home like environment. They blend their own mango juice and the staff are very friendly. The location is great as it is close to the CBD.

Fantastic place to kick off my 3 week trip! The comfiest bed I’ve ever experienced with the heated mattress pad and listening to the wildlife at night was a highlight.

Absolutely incredible 8 night stay at the Royal Chundu Island Lodge. A short boat trip from the main river Lodge.

Exceptional experience at the Royal Chundu. I could do this again and again. Everything was top notch, consistent and beyond.

The atmosphere and the vibe was Soo amazing, the rooms are so good and simple the aesthetic alone is beautiful.

Victoria Falls Backpackers has an excellent location. Its right in the centre of town offering amenities sucb as swimming pool to cool away from the heat of livingstone.

Great place close to Victoria falls, has all the amenities of a lodge with exceptional service and friendly staff.

It's a good hide out withing town. I usually go with my wife and child for a drink and swim. The owners are very lovely.

Reasonable Chinese food. The dining room was a bit stuffy and hot, but the food was pretty legit.

Absolutely delicious Chinese food, and just like any quality authentic Chinese restaurant you should be kind of confused the entire time.

The place is great, though the price is a tad bit exaggerated for the rooms. When power goes the water pressure reduces and no hot showers lol.

Zinga Backkpackers is a very nice and familiar hostel with a big garden, many cozy places to relax and enjoy.

Rooms are very spacious. However the service is very bad. They act like we go there to stay for free.
Their restaurant has very nice food however they are greatly overpriced. A dish is around 380 zmk.

It's relatively clean and the rooms are spacious. Very quiet. For those seeking night life and excitement may not be the ideal location.
Staff are very well trained and are always available to help.
