You get what you pay for if you are looking for a cheap option but the staff are helpful and friendly and this is my second time back. I recommend it as a good budget option.

Convenient location, and lively, hotel is too old, live in the room air-conditioner is too fine not cool enough, bathroom to water plug, suction fan Only yesterday decoration, bathroom door can not be locked, terrace door lock is rotten.

A little dated (ok maybe a lot), but good staff, good communication, great location.

Thanks to Hana, one of the receptionists, our stay at the hotel was quite positive experience. She was helpful, courteous and knowledgeable about the local activities, places and tours. Her kind nature made us feel comfortable and safe. We are definitely coming back!

The place is not good. The room I got was in a horrible place, the view (if I can call it like that) is horrible. It was smelling like smoke in the room. The stuff is friendly but the biulding itself is a mess and going upstairs u find the mattresses outside and nothing nice to see.

The location was great. Rooms although not luxurious, were comfortable and clean. However Mr Lee and his staff — Amazing! They couldn’t have done anymore for us. Great ambassadors for the Vietnamese tourism businesses. We have made friends and we will be back!

Excellent service from Mr. Lee and the rest of the staff. They were very helpful and recommended the best tours to take, good places to eat, and were very attentive to any questions or inquiries. I had a fantastic experience in the city of Hanoi with the help of the hotel staff. On my last night, Trang, one of the receptionists, assisted me in booking a ride to the airport and talked to the driver for me to ensure I'd reach the airport on time. Regards to Mr. Lee, Trang, and the other lady receptionist (sorry I forgot to write down her name).

I found the location to be excellent, short walk to the lake and to the night market. The room given to me, for its price, is excellent. I didn't have major issues when I stayed in this hotel. I find the staff to be professional. Special mention goes to Ann who is very friendly and who goes out of the way to assist guests. She is an asset of this hotel. She gives local recommendations on resraurants and activities, very reliable in giving directions, too.

The staff is very friendly. Rooms are specious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included, it was a nice set menu that you could choose an option and it would be freshly prepared, it also included a banana and a drink. We kept ordering the Egg noodle soup cause it tasted so good! Great location at the Old Quarter. The only down side is that we thought the bathroom had a strong smell coming from the drain.

We stayed at Hanoi Old Quarter Boutique Hotel for 6 nights. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful with tour information and arrangements for example Sapa and Ha Long bay. They were always willing to help, especially Ann and Lilly the receptionists. We enjoyed a good breakfast at the hotel every morning. I will definitely recommend to stay at Hanoi Old Quarter Boutique Hotel.

Excellent service from the helpful staff. Anne and Lily at the front desk were able to help us make plans and get the best out of our Vietnam experience, with fantastic trips to Sa Pa and Ha Long Bay. Great location in Old Quarters. The traditional or western breakfast included was sufficient and delicious. The room has AC, TV and good Wi-Fi. The food from the hotel menu was also very tasty.

Great service. They remember all of our names, and are more than willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay comfortable. One of us had a birthday, and without prompting, organised a birthday cake for us. Overall a very good experience and highly recommend.

Excellent hotel for the cost. Friendly and helpful staff that greeted us with drinks and refresher towels when we arrived. Room is clean and well equipped. Decent free breakfast. Location is very central and close to many landmarks. Highly recommended.

Easily one of the most organized and hospitable places I have ever stayed. The location in the alley initially seems strange, but you quickly forget that, based on the most sincere and most professional staff I have come across. Anything we needed, or didn't even ask for, they were all so proactive and helpful. Also, the breakfast was fantastic. On our last night there was some construction in a neighboring building which we mentioned passively to the front desk, not expecting a thing. In turn, they again went above and beyond and gave us a courtesy cab ride back the airport. I highly recommend this hotel, or any Elegance hotel in the area. They really do understand the term hospitality, along with having great locations.

Amazing hotel! Staff is helpful, kind and friendly. The rooms, small but cozy and luxurious! The included breakfast is a pure delight! Best hotel in Hanoi for that price range!

Nice hotel in a somewhat less chaotic street in the backpacker district of Hanoi. Clean airconditioned rooms, comfortable beds. Basic breakfast is included. Kind staff who speak English pretty well. Great place to get over our jetlag and as a starting point to explore Hanoi.

I stayed 10 nights at hanoi asia star hotel, great hotel, the staff is helpful, room is clean and comfortable. Location in heart of old quarter and near Dong xuan market. Best for stay in hanoi and good value money.

I had an exciting experience here last month. Receptionist is very enthusiastic and friendly. Spectacular views seeing Hanoi Old Quarter, I enjoyed Hanoi's life around 36 Streets by cyclo. Very excellent! An amazing choice.

My 5 nights in this Hotel in the heart of Hanoï's old quarters were excellent! The rooms were kept very tidy and cleaned daily. The hotel reception staff was very helpful and friendly. A great value hotel since the rooms are of great quality and very cheap around 10-18$ a night.

Spectacular small hotel in a privileged location in the heart of the old quarter. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was excellent as was the breakfast and Wi-Fi access in each room. Must be rated 5 * — it was certainly better than any 5 * hotel we have stayed in before, this is certainly! It was sad to leave.

Thaison Palace Hotel offered all we needed. We arrived late at night and we were checked in quickly and efficiently. Your staff were very nice. Our room was very comfortable and clean. My husband and I travelled from Australia and we travel frequently. We will definitely stay in Thaison Palace Hotel in out travels after the experience it. Thank you!

Thaison Palace Hotel is the best hotel belong to Indochina Hotel Group. This brand new hotel is the best hotel among others in this hotel. We cannot find any fault with it. It was excellent value, at least when we stayed there. Excellent location in the city center. Lovely room: big, comfortable, impeccably clean, big window in 8th floor with great view of the city. Lovely big & impeccably clean bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast, included in our room-price. Staff very pleasant & friendly. Plus a big plus for us, (as my wife has a back problem), fantastically comfortable beds, which can be adjusted for preferred hardness or softness. Really look forward to staying Thaison Palace Hotel again.
