Great location, near public transport stops, convenient to get from/to the airport by bus, good breakfast, friendly staff, ready to help on any issue, good rooms.

It is clean and central but the receptionist makes the breakfast and a room where you cannot fit all of the hosted, on occasion the people can not eat breakfast because we come to find out for excursions
EYE BECAUSE YOU CAN CHARGE THE ROOMS TWO TIMES.

Very good hotel, bed. Spacious for the price I pay, clean, frendly staff, more activities or adventure you wanted to do let them organized for you and you will not disappointed. Close to the night market use grab or uber everytime you go out. A lot cheaper more secured make sure write down your address distination in Vietnamese before you go if use taxi and show to the driver thier english are limited. Walking distance. I plan to go back in janaury for a month.

We had a terrifying near death experience. My wife and I are both physicians, take our word when we say, do not deal with these people. They sent some guy in his personal car to pick us up from the airport at 8pm who only spoke vitnamese and during the ride, he kept FALLING ASLEEP IN THE HIGHWAY, eyes closing every 30 seconds, head bobbing, we kept shaking him up as he was invading other lanes in the high way, cars swerving around us, horns honking, WE WERE TERRIFIED! This man was in no condition to drive. When we arrived to the Hotel, the driver admitted to the manager on desk that he was “very sleepy” but the manager did not share the same concern for our safety. He charged us more for the terrifying ride than for the room. We thought that this issue would be rectified by email to someone above him, and the hotel’s response was that they were sorry and offered to give us back $2 usd! Clearly the do not care about their guests.

Hotel itself is nice and budget, and new rooms are just excellent, BUT: it’s seems like there is no any point to book a room here. I come to Hanoi very often and always book a room there, but every other time receptionist says that they have no room available and telling stories (shower is broken, guests are decided to stay longer, system mistake, no electricity in the room etc) and offer another hotel — it is always the same place in 10 min driving distance, in a messy market area, dirty and overpriced. It happened to me 5 times this year! First I believed but now I think it’s just a kind of cheat. So 5 stars for the room, bit 1 for the habit to deceive even constant customers.

This hotel would not recommend it to anyone. We arrived at the airport in Hanoi and there we picked up a taxi driver that the same hotel offered us. In principle we were very happy but during the trip to the hotel in the car the taxi driver was literally sleeping! It was a trip of more than half an hour and the experience was terrible. We couldn't get out of the car and catch UBER because we were on the freeway!
When we arrived at the hotel we expressed our concern and indignation and the only thing we were told was sorry. They made us pay $20 for the taxi, more than it cost the room, $16…
I put 2 stars because the room itself was not bad, clean, comfortable bed, and something soundproof, which for the center of Hanoi is appreciated. But we got a 4th floor without elevator… so if you urge to climb stairs do not recommend it.
We are going to Sapa to spend 2 days, and at the turn we will not go to the same hotel. We'll never come back.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Golden Legend Hotel, the staff was very friendly and helped with day trips and places in the area to walk to for site seeing. The rooms were clean and I felf very safe in this hotel.

Old but great service and nice location near the night market without too much noise. Nice staffs, nice breakfast, and near to the most popular place in town, the night market as well.

We stayed there for only one night, the room is new, big and nice. We stayed on the 4th floor. (room with windows and daylight! ) But the Wi-Fi is terrible on this floor. The beakfast was not so good. Just toast, no jam, only things with egg and meat. No fresh fruits or something. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I recommend this place for a short trip in Hanoi.

We recommended this place to a couple from England. When we arrived the guy from the reception told us that we have to wait for our room (cleaning). It was 5pm and check in is at 2pm! The other couple (with confirmed booking) couldn't stay because they had no room for them. After one our waiting he told us we can't go into our room, because he doesn't have one (a couple is ill and can't leave the room), but we can move to another hotel from a friend… We left this place and went to hotel gate I.
