Nice Central hotel with breakfast menu. Cleanliness in order. Only our bathroom and room were in renovation work and Roche's first night was strictly by color. Staff as friendly but also a bit intrusive regarding bookings of possibilities of Weierreise.

The worse experience we ever made. The room was big enough for 2 people. They know how to switch the word clean to the opposite. The duvet cover had a lot of stains and ant and smell like old man. And the toilet wasn't clean. I get some rash after using the toilet. We booked 2 rooms and both of them are like this. It was horrible to live there. So we get another hotel for the same price by my own research. The hotel manager dont let us go. He won't that we pay the next night or stay in his hotel.

The worst experience I've ever done with a hotel. On the trip we also slept in 2 star hotels that were better than this.
The room would probably never been cleaned properly. We'd have ants and stains on our beds. The bed linen smelled of the armpits of old men. After I had the toilet, I got a rash too. The night we would have to stay in the hotel because we only arrived at 1 o'clock in the morning. In the morning we wanted to check out. The hotel manager only let us go if we still pay a power or we had to stay, which was out of the question for us. We had booked 2 rooms and both were unreasonable. We don't even know where doe photos come from. We had 2 single beds in both rooms. More did not fit into the room either. Apart from the image of the lobby, nothing was the reality and the lobby was also filthier.
We didn't get any compensation.

Rooms are pretty okay but very expensive! If you want to stay here you should book online, its cheaper! The room is not as new and good as on the picture. The bathroom is small, the shower is made of plastic and is very disguisting. The laundry service is not free, so be careful if they offer you to wash your clothes and don't tell you about a price.

Low-priced accommodation, although the room is old but comfortable, you can hear the church bells, the bathroom is very small, bath water pressure is also very small.

Great hotel in the center of Hanoi. The room was very nice with a small balcony. The staff was very helpful — they let us keep our backpacks there after we checked out and went for 1 night to SaPa. We didn't manage to try the breakfast as we left before 7am — but we saw them preparing the place and it looked like it would be worth to try.

The Aquarius Hotel Hanoi seems like a great deal, as does much in Vietnam. And it was definitely easy on the wallet. However, you will get what you pay for here. When we first arrived we were given a room on the 5th floor. It was actually quite nice. Well decorated and charming with a beautiful little balcony. It wasn't luxury by any means, but for what we paid, it was! The bathroom was a little strange, no caulk or connection between the bathtub and the wall so water easily fell onto the floor. Getting in and out of the bathtub to shower was slippery and scary. The shower is awkwardly positioned so you must hold it to not shower the entire room. All around, not a big deal here, but worth noting. The air conditioning worked great. This was important. A few days into our trip we were asked to move rooms so they could replace the floors in the original room. We were a bit irritated as they should have planned for this earlier rather than moving us. We agreed and moved to the floor on the 6th and top floor. The room we were moved to was honestly simply terrible. The water heater groaned all night and moaned worse when in use. The bathroom made less sense that the previous, and smaller. It was a maze walking around. It was dirty in a way that doesn't clean. We lost our cute balcony to a window that we couldn't even see out of. IT wasn't decorated nicely and the air conditioning didn't work as well.

If you get good price this hotel is really great value for money, clean, nice service, spacious room.

Great location in old town and you can't complain for the price (20ish/night) Try to have the rooms with the street view. The commodities were a bit old but you have to put that in regard to the price. You get what you pay for. Classic Vietnamese hotel breakfast sot really fancy and worth waking up unless you're on a budget. Might even go get street food instead. Normal staff, nothing bad or exceptional for a basic Vietnamese hotel. Don't know if we didn't see it but couldn't find an elevator.

Great hotel in the middle of old town Hanoi. Within 2 minutes walk from a couple of very nice Western bars, and 10 minute walk from the heart of Old Town (Bia Street et al). There is an elevator, but do ask for a room with an exterior view or else your window will open into the hallway.

Location is spot on, rooms clean, let down by the breakfast.

I used to be a regular guest here. I have stayed here twice a year since 2013. This time I got disappointed, the old wonderfull staff is replaced by not so service minded people. The service level has dropped and the personal feeling is gone. My next stay will be booked someplace else.

The hotel's location is pretty cool, on the border of the old town. BUT our room was on the 6th floor without elevator, very noisy, and not as beautiful as the pictures on the website. During all our stay, we had problems with the water in the bathroom. And the last night We had a water leak that flooded the bathroom. They repaired the leak but did not clean the water anywhere in the bathroom. Not really happy.

Made a phone reservation as the hotel is centrally located but when I arrived they said they were fully booked. They quickly found me another hotel to stay in, but I would recommend booking somewhere more reliable.

The worst attention ever. First our room wasn't ready, after that there was an electricall issue. We've wait for allmost 1 hour. They took us to another hotel a few blocks from there. I was shocked, to get yo the room, you had to cross through a restaurant. We asked the receptionist for a refound, but he didn't want to gave our mony back. So he took us to another hotel a few blocks from there. All this our backpacks at 1 am.

Staff is very nice. Rooms are good for the price.
