Have just returned from friend's wedding held at this hotel. Yes, the rooms and some of the public areas are looking tired and in need of refurbishment but there are some good features too.

I was treated to the most excellent Sunday Roast at the Barony. The staff and environment was fantastic to enjoy a family get together. The food was hot, well cooked and plentiful.

On arrival at the Peebles Hydro, Nichola was very helpful guiding us through the check-in process. We had requested a front-facing room and it was lovely, very clean and tidy.

The Spa, the activities, great swimming pool and the gin tasting was exceptional.

We had a really lovely stay at the Macdonald Cardrona and will absolutely be back.

I stayed only for bed and breakfast for work so can only comment on the room and breakfast.
The room: spacious, clean, with lovely views. Very comfortable bed. The shower had great pressure.
