We had an afternoon tea today for a treat for our 10 year wedding anniversary, we had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed all of the food, the cakes were AMAZING! And the complimentary champagne for our anniversary was a lovely special treat, thank you. The matre’d was brilliant and really kind and made our afternoon tea special, thank you.

Just back from a weekend stay at Dakota…… wow what a beautiful hotel, the staff are all so friendly helpful & professional. We loved every minute of our stay, so perfect in every way, we will definitely be visiting again in the future. Thank you Dakota for a fabulous experience five stars all the way.

Fabulous welcome, very helpful securing a booking for dinner. Comfortable and spacious room, great bathroom with wall in shower. Impeccable standards throughout from the design of the room to the quality and value for money at the Grill restaurant. Very much looking forward to breakfast.

Fabulous stay at this trendy well kept hotel. When you walk in the beautiful scent in the reception greets you along with the friendly staff. The rooms are lovely beds are so comfy and the food is gorgeous. We really loved our stay here and will return again when we visit leeds. This hotel is in amongst trendy bars restaurants and all shopping centres and shops are just round the corner. Its the place to be if your in Leeds. Thanks for a fabulous stay Dacota I'm sure will we will be back Kellie and Peter.

Very odd! Wanted to sit at the bar and enjoy the vibe, Floor host kept trying to tell us where to sit, the cocktail Lounge had zero atmosphere, he said it would be half an hour at the bar for drinks with only 4 people sat there! Coincidently we were served in about 30'seconds! Went upstairs did the same thing sat at the bar and they tried to usher us to a table… then looked at us strangely for wanting to sit by the bar! Is that not what bar stools are for? All a bit forced and a bit odd really, I'll sit where I wish thank you very much. Felt very in edge and not relaxed at all.

Food was lovely, however when our steaks arrived the sauce was cold, with a barely warm steak. I mentioned this to a waitress and was informed we'd receive some new sauce. Less than a minute later we received our meals back with again cold sauce, resulting in me having to ask again. Our meals were then taken off us and re-cooked so had to wait 20 minutes for this. Disappointing meal for someone's birthday, especially to say it isn't the cheapest. Won't be returning.

Really great find, I go to Leeds for work and generally use the chain hotels but this one is outstanding! Little bit of luxury in Leeds, close to nice restaurants too. Highly recommend, comfy beds l, no noise from outside as rooms all well insulated. Will be going back for sure. Had breakfast which was lovely and a brunch with my client who thoroughly enjoyed it. The coffee in the bar area is exceptional, the guy serving it knew exactly what he was doing. I would go back just for that!

Truly a great experience, the food was delicious the service impeccable, wonderful interior, only thing that let this down was there was nothing green on plate which was such a shame, Sunday dinner without green veg hmmmmmm oh well what was there was cooked to perfection, ❤️

We have stayed at a lot of hotels and l have to say this is one of the best! beautiful decor lovely exclusive 1st floor bar over looking Greek street bed's really comfy and really good pillows breakfast is outstanding would definitely recommend this hotel staff very accommodation can't do enough for ye will be returning.

Only went in the bar area. Such a lovely atmosphere — quite cosy and almost a feeling that no one else knows the gem that's there. I've eaten in the restaurant before and the food was completely amazing!

We had a lovely time here. We stay in many UK hotels and this was by far the best with pleasant smells and tasteful decor. Most certainly we will be returning. We did had some problems in the evening though when we visited the terrace bar for cocktails. We waited for around 45 minutes to be served and it was evident that the person who looked liked they flashed the cash was given preferential treatment even though we spent more than them. This was disappointing and we did complain. The complaint was handled exceptionally and we were then offered above and beyond. Despite this we would recommend this hotel.

This is a review of the lounge only — If you are looking for a quiet oasis away from the bustle of Greek Street on a weekend evening then Dakota is the place. This is the perfect chill-out room, attentive service and a great choice of drinks for all tastes, coupled with a mellow vibe in a sparsely lit self indulgent setting, it's a great place to de-stress from the three deep bars and pounding dj-driven theme bars around the city centre. Try it, i'm sure you wont be disappointed.

I can not believe that someone gave this hotel 1 star! Could not disagree more. I booked this as a birthday treat for my boyfriend. We arrived on Friday afternoon, I had booked valet parking so a very nice helpful man called Ben came out to greet us and took our bags into the reception and then went to park the car. We checked in quickly with no problems and Ben showed us to our room. I had booked the classic room and when we entered we were amazed at how lovely it was. Very modern, comfy bed, huge smart TV mounted on the wall. The shower was awesome. Tea/coffee provided with biscuits and bottles of water. We went for a drink in the terrace bar on the 1st floor before venturing out into Leeds. The bar staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us. Whilst we browsed the drinks menu we were brought a glass of iced water each and a bowl of snacks. Yes the drinks were not the cheapest but it is an amazing hotel in the centre of Leeds so this did not come as a surprise and if you want cheap drinks then you should probably go to a weatherspoons. We did not eat at the hotel this time but will definitely book in at the restaurant the next time we visit. Check out was easy and quick and we popped into Leeds for an hour or so before returning where Ben went to bring our car to the entrance and take the bags out. He was very friendly and helpful and went out of his way and is a credit to the Dekota hotel.

We stayed here for one night, bed, breakfast and dinner. Room was clean, warm and had a contemporary feel. Good, friendly welcome from the reception staff. Eventing meal was great, served by happy staff, which can make a difference when you're staying at the same place. Breakfast was continental with a cooked English. Very tasty. Great value for money. Overnight parking was nearby and discounted when you present your ticket. Enjoyed our stay. Thanks.

My husband and I called at the Dakota, Leeds yesterday afternoon for a couple of drinks. The upstairs bar doesn’t open until 5pm but we were shown into the main bar where we ordered our drinks. We were sat in pleasant surroundings near the bar and soon got chatting to one of the very friendly staff who’s name was Vincent. We asked him if there was a bar food menu which he brought to us and at the same time said that we should have a look at the room towards the end of the bar as it may be more comfortable for eating. Although the room and Vincent were very busy he found us a lovely table with very comfortable seating, brought us our next order of drinks and took our order for food. The food was brought to us in good time, I had steak frites which was absolutely lovely and cooked perfectly, my husband had the burger which was delicious. We then had a dessert each which were to die for. We treated ourselves to a cocktail which was fabulous and enjoyed a coffee each to end the afternoon. All in all we had a lovely afternoon made all the better by the attentive staff, especially Vincent, all of whom couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable in the lovely surroundings of a beautiful hotel. We will be back very soon for both food and hopefully next time to stay overnight.

Just returned home after a fabulous city break in Leeds with my wife, at this top quality hotel. From the moment we booked, the staff and service has been nothing but exemplary, from courtesy calls beforehand, to a warm welcome at 11am to store our luggage, nothing was too much trouble. We checked in later and had a pre dinner drink in the ground floor bar and although some luggage was missing from our room, this was rectified immediately and the doorman came into the bar to discreetly advise us that he had put this in our room. The drinks also came served at our table with complimentary water and bar snacks, these little touches make such a big difference and help to distinguish this hotel experience above the many others that are available.
The decor all over the hotel, from the reception to the bars and restaurant and the rooms and en suites is classy and ultra modern and the service from all the staff is exceptional. Special mention about the beds, superbly comfortable and top quality linen.
The only very small gripe was at breakfast when the crockery from the continental breakfast wasn’t taken from our table before the waiter arrived with our cooked breakfast and looked bemused as there was no room to serve it to us at the table.
The overall experience was fabulous at this hotel, the location is perfect for shopping, so close to many good bars and restaurants and the staff really do go out of their way to make you feel welcome and special.

Without a doubt this is the best hotel experience I have had in the UK for a very long time. The service wasn't just service, it was and experience. The staff are so genuinely happy, they love what they are doing and they are obviously supported by a forward thinking company that has world class recruitment and ambition. The hotel is beautiful, I could not even find when trying a fault (that;s never happened before) even the architect, designers and builders deserve a shout out! Cleanliness was faultless. Food was quite frankly gorgeous, I even chose a typically bland dish to test them, it was seasoned to perfection. The room facilities are way above the price tag and would satisfy the most hardened of traveler, business person or tech guru alike. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the valet service. Make sure you go to the first floor bar. If I had a hotel I would want every member of staff we met this weekend on my team, they are an absolute credit to the hotel and a pleasure to have been served by in our 'Temporary Home' for the weekend! Well done.
