Not bad. Although it's in the middle of a refurbishment my room was comfortable and clean.

Clean and tidy, very helpful nice staff, old school In a good way, most modern hotels you can't breathe without complaints, this is for nites out on the town and easy access to centre.

Awful place. Partner has stayed all over the world with his army background this is by far the worst place he has stayed. Booked for a coldstream guards reunion weekend. Cheap price yes … guess you get what you pay for but noisy, unclean, situated in middle of what can only be described as an industrial estate. Beds and showers disgusting. You've been warned. Seems you have to give a star to post review. Not worth the one star I have used.

I wouldn’t give this place half a star never mind one! The rooms look unfinished, very cramped, poorly decorated, very dirty, stuff falling apart and not secured properly. No central heating just a portable electric heater… which you can’t move. No heating in the bathroom. Holes in walls, filler everywhere, disgusting colour scheme. Double room is actually 2 single beds pushed together. No consideration from other guests/housekeeping, so NOISY! Toilet really noisy, shower was boiling hot or freezing no happy medium. I would not recommend this to anyone especially for £49.50! £20 per night max is all it’s worth… if that. Reception staff were friendly (that’s the only positive) Steer well clear!

Not impressed, first room I was meant to have they had lost the key, the second the key card didn't work and the third I had a key because thew card didn't work but the lock was broken. The bed was awful akin to a cheap mattress on top of a laying down wardrobe. Bed lights didn't work, curtains were see through, shower door didn't close, brand new but badly fitted. The bed was far too big for the room. Never again.

Terrible place, although it was cheap and a last minute place to book we were woken up at 7:30am by drills and hammers whilst they were "making over" the rooms, it genuinely looked like a place some men might take a 'lady of the night', no breakfast included in the price, our new shower Base was loose and we were apparently the first people to stay in the room but if I'd have slept in the bin I'd of felt cleaner, if you were thinking about booking this place… you need to stop thinking…! The best part about it was checking out…!

I've stayed in some dumps but have never felt the need to warn people to stay away from a hotel until now. The room was absolutely FREEZING, I had to use a hair dryer and keep boiling the kettle to get some heat in the place, it was still freezing I kept all the lights on because I needed as many heat sources as possible. There was an old wall heater but it kept burning out after about 15 minutes and took about 45 minutes to come back to life. The bed was basically a mattress on the floor. The door's beep when open so they are going off all night when people are coming and going or going out for a smoke, OK that's not a bad idea so you know you have closed the door behind you, but it sounds like a Guinea Pig having an asthma attack and it's really annoying. The bathroom window wouldn't close completely, and had a sticker on the glass so people couldn't see in, but half of the sticker had been peeled off. Anybody walking past while I'm in the shower would be able to see my man bits, well they would normally but they had disappeared into my stomach IT WAS THAT COLD. The toilet wouldn't flush properly. I feel sorry for the cleaners, I mean, I'm a regular guy, who likes spicy food, I go twice in a morning. The digital TV had such a poor picture quality it reminded me of when I saw a pirate vhs copy of A Clockwork Orange back in the 80's. It doesn't deserve the one star but thats the lowest it lets you score.

Close to town centre. Run down looking building although polite on reception. Room was clean enough, mattress terrible. Blinds broken and stone cold room temp. Overall over priced at £55 per night, I'd recommend you look for an alternative and pay the extra.

Good for price double room one night £35:00 clean room and bedding. We took own fan heater as other reviews said and was needed.

The hotel is currently under renovation. There is a sign to let you know this. However, the rooms are not completely finished and still require some little touches. I had an enjoyable stay but the stars reflect this unfinished quality. Once finished this hotel will be good value for money. I would stay again if I am working in the area. Staff are very friendly and always willing to do what they can to help you out.

Rooms very small. Mattress a nightmare. Shower stall too small. There are BEEPERS on the door lock to let you know the door is open… so from 6 am this morning for 3 hours it was beep beep beep beep beep. Bloody stupid idea they are. Not enough parking slots for guests and no breakfast supplied to to refurbish but I was not told when I booked… there is a note stuck to the reception desk. I would never stay here again.

Stayed here when visiting family and friends in Doncaster as the cheaper alternative. There was building work going on of which we were not informed first but would liked to have been made aware off before we booked. The room we stayed in on the ground floor had been made smaller and the ensuite was very badly layed out. As larger people we couldnt fit in the shower very well as the corner shower is made for very skinny people. The out look of the window was of scuffy bank.

Disgusting state of affairs, don't bother staying here. Filthy rooms, mouldy beakers in bathroom, broken window blind, screws loose on chairs, staff have could not care less attitude.

Very basic accomodation. Rooms and bathrooms are claustrophobic, and not particularly clean. Doors are not soundproof and make a strange beeping sound when opened, so expect early wake up. Perhaps all staff was very nice and helpfull.

The room Was ok but there was marks on the walls and ceilings. It had mould in the shower. The beds were dirty and the room had not been cleaned for a while as the floor was filthy. I cannot recommend as I would never stay here again. To top it off they charged me twice. The breakfast was £3.50 and this was for toast or cereal. I would of paid more for a fry up. Have to give it a 1 star as I can post but I didn't rate it at all. I have stayed in better rooms at premier inn and travel lodge.

Decent accomodation for the budget price. However I had to move rooms immediately because of a drainage smell, and the second room's shower only produced very very hot water. Not bad but could do with being even slightly cheaper.

If Primark was a hotel this would be it. Small cheap looking rooms. Very uncomfy beds and linen. Very noisy and used for boozers. Stay in a hostel or sleep in your car if you want a decent equivalent. Hotels like this should not exist in this day and age. I've stayed in better hotels in India.

Clean and tidy, I have one problem the doors of the rooms have a annoying alarm when they open to warn you the door isn't closed. This can be a problem when other guests open the door to go out as the alarm is fairly loud and frequent.

Lovely place. Lovely staff. Will be lovely once the plans for better reception area/ bar has been built and all maintenence has been finished.

I have used this hotel for the last few weeks The staff are pleasant and helpful the rooms very clean and the bathrooms spotless They do have some rowdy guests sometimes. Usually on way to costa del brain damage via Robin Hood I just booked again basic indeed but it suits me.

My stay at this so called hotel, frankly was a nightmare beginning to end. The lady who checked us in was lovely, we left and came back to a group of men drinking and being rowdy. I paid little attention until the man in question, proceeded to bang on our door and ask us if we could smell weed. Rowdy noise all night drinking, drugs no thanks I can do that at home I I want to.

I wouldn't give it a star double bed was two singles pushed together dirty then once you been out side for a cig they knock your door to say you smoking in room to try and get 100 pound out you, doors slamming all night rooms small, quilt cover was just turned inside out instead of clean a right flea pit don't recommend it at all. And don't bank on TVs in the morning as they switch of after 4 hours no internet no breakfast and rude night staff that sit drinking with friends all night.

Nothing, it's like a prison! Absolutely dive, stay away! Dirty, stained and mouldy carpets. If there was a pop up tent option for the car park I'd rather take that!

Stayed one night, it was very dirty and disgusting!. It doesn't even have a star rating to "show" worst place I have EVER stayed at. If you do happen to be unfortunate and do stay, check your mattress!

Staff are friendly and helpful, the actual lodge is very dated and worn, but for the price you pay, it's perfectly OK for a work stopover.

If you are unfortunate enough to find your self in this scum of a place. I am sorry for you. On a serious note; Don't. Seriously DON'T… I mean never book a room here.

I booked a room two months in advance. The day before I my visit, I got a call from the hotel saying that there'd been a 'system error' and that my room no no longer available. They offered me a room at their sister hotel 11 miles away but it was too far from my event, so I refused. Unfortunately, every other room in Doncaster was booked/reserved, so in the end I was unable to go. Thanks, Restover Lodge — you totally ruined my weekend.

I never knew places like this exsisted. I do a lot of business miles and stay at Hotels and B&B's all round the country. I booked to stay with a female colleague for an event at Doncastor race course. We walked in and more or less walked out again. No En suite, mattress on a chipboard bed type arrangment, guests lazing around the hall ways playing on electronic gadgets and eating takaway food in the Reception. My Female colleague remarked she did not feel safe. A view I support. I would not recommend I booked it on laterooms, be aware of when booking make sure you are clear on what you are getting. I didnt get a refund althought I didnt stay, but checked straight into a travellodge and only paid about £8 more money well spent.

I booked and paid £40.00 online and it was about 8pm on the 10th November 2012 when I arrived but if I had known what I was letting myself in for I would have been better off staying in a rat infested shed. The first room I was given absolutely reeked of smoke, the radiator smashed and was hanging off the wall and the bed looked like someone had just got out of it. I was given another room, which on the face of it didn't look too bad in the lets say subdued lighting. So I left my bag and went out for the night. When I got back I pulled back the duvet to find blood and or other bodily fluid stains on the bedding. No way was I going to put my head down in that. There was no one around to complain to so because I had had a drink I could not drive anywhere else so I spent the night sitting up. In the morning when I opened the blinds the true disgusting horror of the place was clear the flooring was an absolute disgrace, it was very heavily soiled with got only knows what. I am only glad I left my shoes on. The bedding was filthy. I complained to the Manager the next morning but got no satisfaction there so I sent an email to their customer relations and as yet have still not heard a thing back from them. I have since reported the place to trading standards. It is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. It is a health hazard and should be closed down. I will now post photographs of this hovel in every place I can.

The staff are very polite and helpfull. The price is what you get. Cheap hotel need a decent makecover urgentlly bathrooms need really urgent makeover and for the time of year its a very cold room with no decent heat. But for the price just to sleep a few hours if you are here on business its good.
