First time stay and definitely will NOT be the last. Arrived in time for dinner but was tired, asked about a sandwich in my room Not a problem. Room and ensuite were spotless comfortable and just what I needed. Breakfast was delicious and hot. Plenty of tea. Staff amazing nothing was too much trouble. Friendly. I travelled alone and felt comfortable and relaxed. Toiletries placed in bathroom Teatry with plenty of supplies.

Back after 2years, still the same great staff, great food, great beer and abundance of friendly locals.
It truly is the most honest, genuine and exceptional place we’ve stayed 10/10 from us.

Stayed in the Duke while visiting friends for a funeral. Lovely atmosphere in the pub and they had a good fire going later in the day. Room was comfortable and extremely clean. Plenty of space for clothes etc and usual things such as tea/coffee/biscuits all in your room to use. Bathroom spotlessly clean with small selection of toiletries (soap/shower gel/cap etc) for your use. Hairdryer also available in the room. Breakfast was lovely with a selection of fruit/yogurt/cereals and fruit juice as well as a hot choice. Full English breakfast was very good and set us up nicely for the day ahead. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for one night last week. Absolutely loved it! Beautiful rooms with lots of space, great views and very peaceful. All staff were very friendly and the food was lovely! Can’t wait to stay again!

Our 6th visit to stay before and after Danby show. Rooms comfortable, excellent breakfast and good if limited choice for dinner.

Beautiful B&B, really friendly staff and the breakfast are delicious and very generous.

Only stopped for a quick mid day pint, but this pub ticks all the boxes. I wish this was my local!

This is a very welcoming B&B to stay.
Rooms are very tastefully decorated and beds are very comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Very clean.
1st time here and we are already looking at going back as we not only liked the hospitality of the staff but were made very welcome by the locals.
Would highly recommend a short stay here.

Very good pub accomodation. Pub remains a local and we have enjoyed great if limited menu — all well presented, with excellent breakfast. We'll be back — but it's not a 5 star hotel (a good feature).

We go here twice a year on our birthdays and have done for approximately the last 8 years. This tells you how good it is. The staff are great. Charlie was particularly full of beans on our visit. The food is delicious and the rooms very attractive. We love this place.
