It has a good vibe. The food is always excellent and the staff attentive. I have used the hotel several times and the rooms are beautiful and breakfast delicious.

We have stayed twice now in the Grand Depart room and it is fabulous. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Lovely setting, good service and great food.

The outside eating area has been well designed, heaters and blankets also supplied. Delicious lunch great service.

Had the most delicious meal tonight, top class Hake with sesame seeds and coconut sauce and prawn dumplings on pak Choi and piping hot👌👌👌and a delicious Aperol Spritz 😋😋😋 and a beautiful evening. Well done I was really impressed and very helpful staff. Thankyou 👏👏

Yesterday we held our sons wedding at The West Park. It could not have been better! The staff and service was amazing, they were so professional yet made it so personal. The room was amazing our sons arranged it themselves which the hotel allowed, this made it extra special. My son is a florist, so of course he did his own flowers. But the hotel allowed him to enter the functions room all the night before up until 3am so that all the flowers were set out as they wished. Nothing was to much, even with the current covid restrictions they ensured everyone’s safety but without letting it be a focus of the day. The meals were absolutely beautiful, they was presented well and was nice and hot. I would like to thank The West Park Hotel for there fantastic effort and could not recommend them more highly. Thank you.

First time this year at the hotel, one of my favourite places to stay. Fantastic service, food, the room and the staff.

Just had a fabulous meal and drinks, lovely charming staff, I would highly recommend it, slightly slow, but we have to expect Covid kitchen times! Space awareness! Well done to all the staff x.

Gorgeous hotel in a perfect location. Lovely clean spacious room. Dog friendly they even put a bed and bowl in the room for your little furry friend. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Food and drink first class. Will definitely be making a return visit.

Wonderful stay — beautiful room, comfy bed, huge en suite with separate bath and shower, gorgeous food and lovely staff who were happy and always ready to help. Great location (and handy car park just round the corner which cost the princely sum of £6.20 for 24 hour parking. Will definitely stay again.

I could not recommend this hotel more, I mean you get a complimentary rubber duck and ginger bread men… the attention to detail and location is exquisite, lovely staff and perfect place to stay, for any occasion, in this beautiful corner of Yorkshire.

Good food at a reasonable price.

My husband and I have just returned home from staying in one of your Penthouse suites and I can honestly say we were blown away. What an amazing experience and the customer service was 5*. We felt very well looked after. Spacious, very clean, amazing bathroom and the beds were so comfy! We ordered breakfast to our room the next morning and it was so romantic.
Thank you very very much. It was a night to remember.

Amazing hotel! I stay here every time for work and it is the best hotel. They always try to upgrade me without even asking and the food is fantastic. Thoroughly recommend!

Had a 3 night break here, everywhere was clean and smart looking, food delicious and my dietary requirements easily solved, cannot praise the staff highly enough they were all so friendly and helpful.

We are regulars to this lovely establishment. We have been during the day for lunch and drinks with our kids and also been child free in the evening. The food is always gorgeous and not badly priced. The bar area is lovely and relaxing to sit in both during the day and at night. The bar staff are all so helpful and are not shy to recommend new things. It’s also dog friendly so there is always a cute dog to say hi to which the kids love.

Lovely atmosphere, polite staff, good vegan menu for starters & mains, tasty meat free breakfast and very comfortable mattress. The room was very quiet & comfortable. Hope to be back at some point, thank you.

Had meal in restaurant very nice breakfast very good be prepared to pay for parking at least £6.20for 24hrs in near by ncp rooms very nice unfortunately strange noise from over head grill in room on and off through out the night Staff very attentive cocktails VERY GOOD Harragate town very nice enjoyed our stay at hotel nice stroll into town from hotel on the stray (green area for the locals to use)

Sunday morning coffee at the West Park hotel. Nice coffee (cafetier for three) with slow service. Nice building in a lovely location.

I've visited the same hotel well over a dozen times & that is for a good reason! A boutique, premium hotel which a good human touch. The quality of the rooms are high & well sized, the food is exceptional & the service from reception is professional. My only critique would be the inconsistent Wi-Fi & the at times the irregular response from room service.

Stayed here for my birthday. Its a beautiful hotel. The food in the restaurant was really tasty and good value. We had a small issue on our last night but it was sorted very quickly. I would recommend this place.

We had a lovely room, and free upgrade as it was available. Lovely staff, and excellent food. Plus we were able to take our dog. Very enjoyable.

Popped in for a breakfast. It was pretty good so worth a visit. We stayed in an Air BnB just around the corner.

I attended dinner with a group of friends, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Service was quick and efficient. Food was excellent, I had the lamb. On the whole quite expensive but good for a treat and certainly couldn't knock the quality. I'll definitely return.

We visited the West Park floor Sunday lunch with friend. Couldn't fault it, great food, service and value. Would recommend.

Absolutely perfect. I would happily stay here again. The rooms are so clean and beautiful. The staff are all incredibly helpful well groomed and just nice… Breakfast is really really nice. Pleasure to stay at this fantastic hotel looking over the park. Short stroll to the beautiful Harrogate square. Staff are friendly professional and know their audience go out their way to make sure your stay is perfect Decor is contemporary and immaculate.

Fab food — great lunch menu at a reasonable price.

The hotel and restaurant are absolutely amazing. We couldn't believe how nice it was when we arrived. Staff very polite and every where absolutely spotless. Then we got our room number 325. We went up to the room and although it was at the rear of the hotel it appeared clean and tidy with all the things you expect from as hotel room. Then we noticed a noise coming from outside. We chose to ignore it at the time as we had to get ready to go for a meal. It is now 6.58 the next morning at we are laid in bed wide awake. As we have been all night due to the constant droning from outside. So if you book this hotel yes it is nice. But if you get room 325 you won't get any sleep.

I dont normally have the time or enthusiasm to leave reviews but we have just walked into our room 'Le Grand Depart'… WOW!. The staff we have met have been lovely and gave us a huge friendly welcome. Really impressed so far and so much so that instead of visting a recommended restaurant in the town we have decided to dine in the hotel's very own restaurant.

Went here for a family Sunday lunch. Food was very tasty and service was great. Decent prices and a nice place to go for a meal.

If I could give a thousand stars I would! This place is absolutely incredible, literally cannot fault it. We arrive on a Saturday afternoon. Shown to our room 'The Grand Depart' absolutely amazing, the cleanliness or the hotel and the room, the attention to detail with an anniversary card. The decor is lovely and modern and the TV in the bathroom topped it off. Had dinner in the restaurant, atomospher was so good and the food. Well that was on another level, steak cooked to perfection. The staff are lovely, always stop to chat, even if it's just a good morning, a guy tgat worked there stopped what he was doing to just call the lift for us. I honestly cannot rave about this place enough. If your ever in Harrogate you must stay here, or at least go for dinner!

Stylish, decor modern, contemporary and not at all dated. Rooms more than adequate, view from one or two not ideal but for a weekend breal, a great location. 5 minute walk into the town centre. NCP parking less than 100 metres away. Great bar and dining facilities. What is not to like about this hotel…?

Food and service great but my only complaint would be I hate any business adding on a service charge. If the staff are great I would tip them anyway but if you add on a service charge I won't.

This hotel was fabulous! It's staff were friendly, welcoming and so very attentive. The rooms (We had booked a suite front facing and a double that looked out at a wall) had everything that you expect from a top hotel and more! We arrived on a Saturday evening had pre-booked bubbly for the room (It wasn't waiting as expected but after a phone call arrived immediately) and the restaurant. We were seated at a bench table in the bar area for our meal and our pre — booked chilled bottle of wine brought to us. The menu was fantastic and the food was too! It was a very lively atmosphere and very busy. The only negative was the drinkers on the table next to us had a dog which we felt sorry for as people were accidentally stepping on it and it was barking quite a lot through our meal. It is great that the hotel is dog friendly as I am an animal lover but felt the owner was irresponsible as the area was not the place for barking dog! When they eventually moved on we continued to enjoy our evening sampling the famous cocktails and a late coffee and nightcap.
The beds were very comfortable and had a goodnights sleep, followed by a varied breakfast menu and all of the usual. We enjoyed our breakfasts at the hotel very much.
The other negative which again was no fault of the hotel was an evacuation of the hotel in the middle of our second night due to a fire alarm.

My God you better have a big bank account and a small appetite. Sharing platter for 2 £25. Could have eaten it myself easy. But not at that price. Told staff member I was not impressed. No discount. Surprise Surprise! @

I took friends for afternoon tea for the first time to celebrate various things we've recently done. The food itself was very nice indeed and I would recommend it. However, as I made staff aware upon booking that it was for afternoon tea, the food leterally arrived within minutes of us being seated. This meant that food I ordered for my 5 year old actually came after our food arrived. It all just felt very rushed. Once we had finished our food, our plates were left infront of us for some considerable time. We were not asked if we wanted a pudding menu and our plates were only cleared at the point I asked for some pudding for my son. We asked for the bill and it arrived with someone else's drinks on it! This was sorted out and we paid up and left. In total I think we had 4-5 different members of staff to our table. The place was not busy at all and therefore there was no excuse for what we all felt was very poor service.

I'm very impressed with this hotel. I didn't dine here though the cleanliness, freshness and the quiet calm atmosphere is apparent and appreciated. The bedding is as clean and fresh as any could be, for me, one of the most important aspects of any stay and a very good indication of overall standards, the bathroom is to the same high standard. Harrogate town centre is a very short, easy stroll form the hotel. The West Park hotel Harrogate is a lovely place, a credit to those who are responsible for keeping it the way it is. I want to return.

Great food, great service, gorgeous cocktails.

This is really a special hotel. The rooms were spacious and so comfortable. Huge bath and gorgeous products. We arrived early in the day to go to the Turkish baths in Harrogate and they were more than happy to keep our bags until we could check in. The staff were very responsive to queries and made our group feel very welcome indeed. Breakfast was just perfect. Well done to the all at the West Park Hotel. We'll definitely be back!

Great suite! Food was good not amazing but certainly more than acceptable. Good value on the Sunday eat your bill offer. Receptionist nice enough however not very clear on how the offer worked.

Nice hotel and friendly staff.

We stayed over on a Sunday night in a gorgeous suite complete with comfy seating area and separate dining area for our breakfast on the Monday morning. The beds are easily the most comfortable we have slept in. The views to the front of the hotel over the stray are very peaceful and look even more magical when the coloured lights in the trees are on at night. Our dining experience was absolutely perfect as the food was as always excellent and the people who work in the restaurant and the hotel are always very happy and professional. We have stayed twice previously and will definitely be booking in again hopefully many times in the future.

I think our party of 4 have to say that 'Anna' our waitress helped make our evening such a success! She was attentive and so friendly without being 'overbearing' and although obviously extremely busy, did her very best to look after us! The meal was delicious and a small problem was sorted immediately by the restaurant manager, who was very apologetic. We will be back soon!

On the 23rd May 2009 we celebrated my husband's 60th and my son's 30th birthday party at the West Park Hotel. From the word go both Sharon and Simon Colgan were very "hands-on" and pro-active in all aspects of the planning. They were extremely accommodating in terms of what we wanted to do with the venue. The buffet provided by their relatively new chef David was delicious and beautifully presented — many of the guests commented on how lovely the food was. Simon and Sharon stayed on at the party until after the buffet had been served to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. I would have no hesitation in recommending the West Park Hotel to anyone who wants a well catered function in a fabulous centrally located environment.
