I can heartily recommend Braeswick B&B to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Sanday. The B&B is a 5 minute drive from the ferry, and offers comfortable rooms (including great showers! ) with plenty of storage space for clothes/suitcases. The beds are very comfortable and we all (family of 4 in 2 rooms) had a great sleep for the 2 nights we were there. The views from the dining area are amazing and you could easily just sit there for hours looking out over the Sanday coastline and North Atlantic. Breakfast was great and we also took advantage of the home made evening meals (as there isn't a lot else on offer), however these were really nice and offered great value for money. Jon's was a wonderful host and I felt that nothing was too much trouble for him. As he didn't have a guest in our room on the evening of our departure, he allowed us to use the room until our ferry (we had a 6pm departure to Kirkwall) which was a real bonus. Book here and you won't be disappointed.
