Have stayed here a few times. Always get a friendly welcome, and the rooms are spotless. Breakfast is pretty good too, and the hosts go to a bit of trouble to keep it that way.

Booked into Davar on Monday 8th / 12th July, what a fabulous place, great room and views over the water … breakfast was amazing, and great hospitality.
Weather was ☔️ most of the time.

This place is a belter. We were welcomed as friends and treated like family. A beautiful home and each room was unique, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The attention to detail can't be dismissed and the breakfast can only be described as epic. And if you like coffee, their roast is the best you'll get anywhere in the world. The area itself is your archetypal Scottish Highlands, stunning vistas, hidden gems and breathtaking beauty. Thoroughly recommended, so much so, I'm going back with my wife for a holiday, rather than stay there for work. And the local knowledge and history from the gentleman host of the house would put Neil Oliver to shame.

Very lovingly equipped rooms, even power adapters for the socket and bathrobes. Very nice and helpful housekeepers. Caren and Dave are fantastic guides and especially Dave gives you many very useful tips about the local specialties and where to get them.
And where it is particularly worthwhile to go there.

Lovely b&b ideal place to stay, deer outside the window, spotless rooms, breakfast from full Scottish to fresh fruit and home made yogurt, pancakes and syrup.

Absolutely loved our short stay at Davar. Wonderful hosts, best Scottish breakfast we've had this year (and we've had a lot! ) and a gorgeous place to stay. The bed was so, so comfortable, we had a great couple of nights sleep so thank you :) I could have stayed longer for definite. Our hosts also had such a fantastic knowledge of things to do and see, local history and the like — fascinating to listen to and great chat in the mornings as breakfast was being sorted. 10 out of 10, absolute gem of a place :)

Beautiful house with lots of space. Clean and comfortable rooms with a huge bed which makes me very happy. The host were very attentive to our needs during breakfast, giving us information on where to visit.

What a gem of a place. Lochinver is lovely and Davar was the perfect place to stay. Stunning views across the harbour, comfortable room, friendly and informative hosts and a superb breakfast, can't fault it. Even Nigel the deer made an appearance st breakfast!

Excellent location, parking is good, rooms are clean and the hosts are friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable. The breakfast is great and you have a nice view to eat it by. I would thoroughly recommend.

We had five nights there. We very warmly and very lovingly cared for, has been received. The Breakfast is great and enough for the whole day. The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very well equipped and perfectly clean. The view is fantastic. All in all, highly recommended.

Although an exclusively 5-star rating seems suspicious we have to continue to accompany our review with 5 stars because we can’t give 10! We stayed in Davar in a sea view bedroom for 3 nights and time flew by. If we didn’t felt at home on the evening of arrival we certainly did during breakfast the next morning. Equipped with a full stomach, advice on where to find the best waterfalls as well as a hiking map from the kitchen shelf (thanks a lot, Dave! ), we set out for our adv…enturous days in the north west of Scotland. And the biggest adventure was probably the burst tyre of our rental. Caren and Dave did not only provide us with much needed tea and chocolate but with compassion and a landline to get things moving again. Without them we would have been lost. Our unplanned round trip to Inverness the next day was sweetened by Caren’s wonderful packed lunch. At the end of our stay it didn’t feel like leaving a bed & breakfast but like a friend’s place. We’re very much looking forward to our next trip to Scotland and thereby our next stay at Davar because there ever will be a new place Dave has found and we want to visit. Thank you for everything,

Superb guest house! The owners are fantastic and had lots of suggestions for places we could visit on our trip. The room was big, clean and very well furnished. Breakfast was amazing!
