Great little hotel in small village. Pub and restaurant to cater for most tastes. Comfy rooms. Decent shower. Great pit stop on NC500 route.

The site has very nice views. The service friendly and attentive. Very clean. But the bed is very bad, the mattress is unde.

Super home. Outstanding view on a beautiful beach below. Very good food. Excellent quality-price ratio!

What a find! Warm welcome. Friendly staff. Fantastic food. We stayed in the cottage (belongs to the hotel) & enjoyed having our own living room space while the four of us caught up. The bar had a lively buzz & we ate the best haddock, chips & peas I’ve had in years while my partner & friends had the “Cullen Skink” (traditional Scottish smoked haddock thick soup) & bread…. They cleaned their plates! Next day we ate a fantastic cooked breakfast, explored the beach & returned for a cream tea (freshly baked fruit scones, still warm) Extremely happy with our stay. (*there is one large room in the cottage & one tiny one with a double bed. Perfectly fine for us as we had a living room space to hang out in & only need the bedroom to sleep in — I only mention it because some have previously complained about the size, however we weren’t bothered as we only wanted it for sleep). Thanks Gabby, Carl & staff for making our trip so memorable! We’ll be back! Pink & Jo.

Good menu and lovely food with nice view from the restaurant. Booking advised. Reasonable prices. Meals can be had in bar, but no view.

Lovely friendly welcome. Hotel has been re-furbished and new owners since our last visit… everywhere lovely and fresh and clean. Good Scottish breakfast… yummy! Evening meal was a bit expensive and not that tastey… would have been happy with price if food had been better. Fabulous beaches and walks. Thank you we will return.

Lovely clean friendly functional and comfortable hotel. Run with great aplomb by Carl and his family, this place is a great option to stop on NC500. Don't expect plush soundproofed rooms but instead thoughtfully designed practical tasteful and superclean accommodation with fantastic views and good hearty food.

Enjoyed our stay thoroughly! Carl and his family made us more than welcome and very comfortable! Bed was the best we'd ever slept on view was fantastic from our newly renovated room and the meals were great!

Good place to stop on the route 500. Clean, good breakfast, wonderful view. I was in a room with the shared bathroom, if it' s full you have to wait but no problem at all. There is also a pub where is possible to have dinner and a pint. Receptionist was really kind and gave us suggestions where to go and what to see. I definitely suggest this place. Go to the pub, you can have a chat with locals and have a pint together!

We have a very pleasant and quiet stay here on our ais-stretched cottland trip. If you love the peace and nature, you have come to the right place. You can hike, cycle or fish here. The accommodation is very cozy. But the best thing is to look more at the open room from the breakfast room. Just gorgeous.

Comfortable room, good food in the bar, and helpful staff. Was going to miss breakfast and they were kind enough to provide me with a packed lunch to take away instead. Would happily stay here again.

No complaints about this hotel or the staff. On arrival, we were greeted by the manager who even gave us a tour of the hotel. Room was very comfortable and food was great. Was great to mix with the locals in the evening. Some great views from the hotel aswell. Staff and locals are very friendly. Highly recommended!

Excellent position. Quite old fashioned but modern way of thinking. On the ball owner. Really good food. Great chef. A good meet and greet too. Accommodating staff. Smiling and helpful. Sharing a bathroom was not an issue as there are plenty of them and they are immaculate. Worth visiting. My photo taken outside reminds me of Fawlty Towers so an immediate hit with me.

I stayed at the Bettyhill Hotel, on recommendation by a family member, for two nights of my trip into the Highlands. I can honestly say that I could not fault a single aspect of my stay there. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and bright with a beautiful outlook over the bay. The staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. The food and service was top notch. There are many places to visit within the locality of the hotel and I would particularly recommend going up to clifftops overlooking Farr Bay for the most stunning scenery in the area (photo).

The hotel has great views over the bay and hills. The bedroom did not have ensuite facilities but was very comfortable. The shared facilities were close and were clean and acceptable. Our evening meal of fish and chips in the bar was very good. The bar also has a fine selection of malt whiskies. The following morning breakfast offered a good selection. Finally the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Location has stunning views across beaches. Comfortable room with a luxurious feel. Clean and newly upgraded room. Friendly bar atmosphere including great fish and chips! Breakfast was fantastic also. Range of hot food to order as well as help yourself buffet. Quality food and very filling. Very nice and helpful members of staff. Highly recommend.

Personale molto cordiale e gentile. Locale pulito e ben tenuto, con una piacevole atmosfera. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene. Consiglio vivamente di provare la birra delle Orcadi (Orkley Gold), è eccezionale. Sono presenti anche un tavolo da biliardo, televisione e un juke box.

Ci siamo fermati per cenare e ci siamo trovati benissimo, cibo ottimo e prezzi buoni. Birra eccellente.

Good portions and great service.

Dropped in here to enjoy the stunning view ftom this hotel and have a cuppa on our sightseeing journey. We were not disappointed we were shown to a window seat where our order was taken. Tea and home baked scones with a generous portion of jam and cream beautifully presented. Tea was served in lovely individual teapots and an additional pot of water was promptly served when requested. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our visit very much!

Lovely hotel in a lovely wee village. We had a sea view room overlooking the sea and the big beach. The rooms were great and had everything you needed. The staff were were friendly and the owners were very friendly too. Dinner in the restaurant or bar was tasty. Breakfast was very nice too. Would definitely come back.

We stopped in for some food when doing the NC500 and it was the best thing I've eaten all week. I got the steak and ale pie whilst others got burgers, lasagne and fish & chips which all looked just as good. Staff were very accommodating.

A place where you feel at home right away. Very friendly and helpful staff, great food and a beautiful hotel. I recommend this hotel for anyone traveling in the north of Scotland.

Great Weekend up at the Bettyhill Hotel. Staff go out there way to get what you need or want. They, ll phone round to get want just to please you. The rooms are nice. I went there on 26/7/13 and at short notice I manage to book in for the following Weekend the Gala wkend with a bit of jugging about the wife and I had 3 rooms over the wk end. They really were great just looking over the bay every morning and night what more do you need. The locals were nice also. Dont think twice about going up to just go. You, ll love it.

I went to this lovely place in the summer of 2006, although we camped out but visited this hotel for a bite to eat. The food was brilliant offering a good selection. The staff wee very friendly and helpful.
