The perfect location, close to the centre of Inverness but with wonderful river views. The rooms are well equipped, the food is high quality and the there is always a friendly welcome. Several high quality restaurants are less than a five minute walk from Strathness House.

My sister and I had a lovely experience at this cozy and centrally located B&B. The owners Joan and Jared are charming and provide excellent service as well as a substantial breakfast. The river views are beautiful and rooms quite comfortable.

We've loved our stay at the Strathness House. The room was clean and the beds are comfortable. It's perfect for walking to shopping and food. There are beautiful views of the castle from our room.

Loved staying here. Staff are so friendly and welcoming, breakfast is amazing, you can choose a cooked breakfast which is cooked to perfection mmmmm or have cereal, fruit etc amazing.

Stayed two nights as part of our tour with H&I Adventure. Excellent accommodations with a very comfortable bed and rooms overlooking the river. The heated towel rack was a great way to dry out soggy bike clothes. The owner and staff were very helpful in letting us leave gear after normal checkout and keeping an eye on it.

Room was nice and cozy, with an excellent view of the river. Staff and management were also very attentive during the breakfast.

Stumbled upon this little gem. And we loved it! The manager was very accommodating and so helpful. Breakfast was good, everything was clean and quiet. We had a front room which had a view of the river… really special ♡

Been staying with Joan and Javed regularly over the last 5 years and always get a warm welcome. Would recommend Strathness House to anyone visiting Inverness who is looking for a home from home. Always a warm welcome, clean and comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. Just a few minutes walk from bus and train stations, restaurants and shops and with amazing views over the River Ness. Really enjoyed our stay at Strathness House, the welcome was fabulous and we found the rooms bright, spacious, and airy, with a lovely view over the river Ness. Joan and Javed were always wiling to provide excellent local information to enable us to enjoy our stay in the area. The breakfasts were delicious with a good range on offer and the service excellent, Can definitely recommend Strathness House and will be back. Right on the river with a wonderful view of the castle. The owner was very kind and helpful. I would stay again with no hesitation.

Comfy rooms, decent view and very friendly staff!

Most helpful staff I have ever experienced, extremely knowledgeable about local area and helpful in every possible way, rooms are fantastic. With huge en-suites and beautiful views to the Ness river and castle, will definitely be coming back! Would give six stars if I could.

Truly a "Home Away from Home ", Well appointed, modern upgrades and all the conveniences while maintaining the historic integrity of this beautiful building. Immaculately clean, Excellent food, Great service and knowledgable, warm, caring, welcoming staff. A wonderful experience. No doubt. Guest's comfort and safety are first and foremost with the owners. They really leave nothing undone when it comes to making guests feel welcome and appreciated. Beautiful property and superb location with exquisite views of the River Ness. The only negative is the sadness at having to leave this gem at vacation's end. With sincere thanks to Joan and Javid for their efforts.
