Great location, friendly staff, well stocked bar, very clean and tidy throughout hotel, cosy lounge with inviting open fire.

Just back from four nights at The Garth with our dog. The Manager and all the staff are fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. The food is absolutely brilliant too and it's such a cosy, friendly, clean hotel with a great atmosphere. Like a home from home (but much better! ). Can't wait to go back.

Stunning food in a very relaxed atmosphere. Service was top notch and never waiting long between sitting down and receiving food. Everything was brilliantly cooked amd the cheesecake so smooth and light. Worth every penny!

Lovely ambient, dog friendly Highland retreat with lovely beer garden, very clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff and great food to suit all palates and pockets.

Four of us ate here on Saturday. The waiter was friendly and cheerful and advised us on the food choices available. The main courses were delicious but rather let down bt the accompaning vegetables. The carrots and broccoli were undercooked and one small dish to serve four people was not sufficient and at least two dishes should have been provided. Overall it was a pleasant meal but rather overpriced.

Just spent a lovely night at the Garth Hotel. Staff very friendly on check in and out and we had a lovely room with a good view of the town. A super breakfast this morning set us up for the trip home. Very nice location and would recommend a visit.

Comfortable hotel with really friendly and helpful staff. The food in the dining room was plentiful and excellent both at breakfast and dinner. Our dog was made very welcome too!

I would recommend the Garth Hotel very highly. My son and daughter treated me to a surprise 70th birthday dinner. There was 17 of including 4 of my grandchildren and the food and service first class. All the staff were friendly and helpful especially Scott and Hayley for their professional and attentive service and thank you Scott for offering to take a group picture. Thank you once again. For a very enjoyable evening and my huge scrumptious birthday sticky toffee pudding with the birthday candles Marjorie Oakes x.

Booked in here last minute with my family after we got let down with a scam booking elsewhere, it was well worth it on our budget it was much better than where we were supposed to stay and breakfast included was luxury! Very friendly welcome, the room had everything and more. The waitress serving breakfast was super friendly and fun with the kids, made us feel very relaxed and food was delicious

Booked in to the restaurant here for dinner. They only had the 8.15pm slot left so we took that but was told not to be late by a very stern receptionist.
We arrived 15 minutes early so as not to be late and was told they were not quite ready for us.
A good selection of food on offer but our meal was truly spoilt by the sheer rush of the staff to serve us. Our starters arrived promptly and before my husband had finished his food the waitress stood over him asking if he had finished! They took the starter plates away and we were served our main within half a minute.
The whole meal felt like we were in the way as they were setting the other tables up for breakfast and the chefs needed their shift over with. They started to clear our table while I was still eating my dinner.
The food was good but the service was very poor so we won't return which is a shame because we visit this town regularly.
This isn't a cheap place to eat and a meal out should be a relaxing and comfortable experience. We were rushed so much by the staff here that it felt like a fast food place not a hotel.

Great food with local produce in a quaint Scottish themed hotel. Well worth a visit at least to try the local made food cooked well.

My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner here. The service was great and the food was delicious. I believe that the gentleman that helped us was named Andrew. I could be totally wrong on that, but he was excellent. (He's the Asian-Irish gentleman) The man knows his Scotch. Good lord. He was a wealth of information on just about everything there's to know about Scotch Whisky. I'm a bourbon drinker and was a bit put off by Scotch. It was just because I didn't know about the vast types. He was so great to educate me and I fell in love with Glenfarclas because of his excellent recommendation. If we ever get back to Grantown-on-Spey, I hope we run into him again.

I stayed here recently while working in the area. I received a warm welcome when I arrived, and was quickly checked in and shown to my Room. The room was lovely and warm, just what you need on a cold evening in March! The bed was comfy, if a little short for my 6" frame. There was also a small TV and Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room. The hotel says Wi-Fi is only available in the Bar, and while my phone and laptop could both see the hotel Wi-Fi Network, neither could connect. : ( As I was staying for business it would be good if Wi-Fi was offered throughout the hotel. Breakfast is available from 07:30 and consists of cereal, yoghurt etc from the buffet and a cooked breakfast from the kitchen. The full cooked breakfast was very good, especially the black pudding!

Excellent food, hard to select what to go for as many delicious dishes on the menu.

I would only come here if you want soup. Thats what we were told on walking in off the street. … very accommodating not what is advertised.

Great restaurant in the heart of Grantown on Spey. Warm friendly staff. Good selection of whiskies at the comfy bar. Worthwhile having a relaxed drink in the Snug Room.

Cozy little hotel with delicious restaurant. Decent whiskey selection.

Now, I have to say it is a very cozy hotel, however, there are here and there, once again, a bit of dust in the corners. The food is still very fine. Unfortunately, the power outlets were distributed pretty stupid (not in the bathroom a lot next to the bed). Otherwise, everything was good! Also, the shower works very well :)

One of the best country hotels I have stayed at. The staff are amazing and food awesome. Plus plenty of whiskey to choose from.

Disappointing all round. The website is "out of date" as per the waiter's advice so we weren't able to get what we actually booked for. The meal I ordered was misprinted and didn't actually come with the sides that I thought it did, (mushrooms, onion rings, tomatoes) which I wasn't informed of at the time of ordering. I found out some time after the meal arrived and my sides didn't. I asked the waiter and he said "oh yeah the menu is wrong but I can get you some onion rings". They then tried to add said onion rings to the bill. My partner's (ordered medium rare) venison was so overcooked it was like chewing cotton. We waited with a dessert menu for absolutely ages before giving up and deciding for the bill. In the end we went and hunted someone down for the bill as we were left unattended for so long. Positives: the blue cheese sauce was lovely as was the sauce on the venison. These two positives were in no way worth the £55 price tag (that was with no drinks). Unfortunately we won't be back.

Me and my husband visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening for dinner and we had the T-bone and rib eye steaks. Both steaks were cooked to perfection! They had a very good selection of whiskeys and the service was excellent.

Came here for dinner as we're staying in Dulnain Bridge. Food was nice, small portion size though. Would go back though.

Bedroom was really well set out. Lovely little alcove in the corner which was nice to sit in as the storm battered around on the other side of the glass. Food was excellent. The whiskey choice was 5 pages! Excellent selection, and a couple of really nice Speysides. I would definitely recommend, and would love to come back here again for work or pleasure.

The best Christmas Lunch I have had in ages. Really nice staff who looked after us very well and a quality menu. The pork and apricot terrine was beautiful.
